These jeans run large. I'm typically between a small & medium. I purchased a medium because this type of elastic waistband is usually too tight around my apple belly AND because I purchased petite and sometimes petite sizes runner smaller overall. However, the medium petite is too big. The waistband... is forgiving and the overall cut is generous. The length was perfect for sneakers or flats. For reference, I am 5'4", 145lbs and somewhat apple shaped and legs on the shorter side. The fabric is so soft and they are very comfortable (rise hits right below my belly button) so I will exchange for a small petite. I wish the drawstring was navy instead of white. Also, if you're sensitive to odor, they have that chemical/poop smell - which I'm hoping will wash out. I purchased the darker color.

NOT AS PICTURED Absurdly bad
First of all, this product is completely misrepresented in the product photos. Honestly, it doesn't even seem to be the same product. The sizing is also strange, definitely runs quite large. I had read some other reviews stating they were too wide, but I convinced myself that maybe those reviewers w...eren't used to actually wide leg jeans. It's tough to find a good pair, in my opinion the denim is always too thick. So when I saw these were thinner, I decided to try. Oh my gosh, they are made in comical proportions. Remember the JNCO jeans from the late 90s?? This pair makes those look narrow-legged in comparison. These are the widest most absurd pair of pants I've ever seen, and not in a boho way. And I am a seasoned wide leg lean wearer. I actually burst out laughing as I was opening the package. If the jeans actually looked or were proportioned even close to what the website photo looked like, they'd be fun. But wow. I don't think I've ever experienced such a misleading product photo before now. I expect better from GAP. Also, I would have wanted them higher waist, but I took a chance on the midrise. I normally wear a size 10 petite, but I was absolutely swimming in the medium. Do not buy. Comically awful.
Love these jeans. They are true to size, a bit of stretch and so comfortable. They wash beautifully.

I loved the stone washed look, styleand quality of the Jean. It ran small in the waist and I have to return them.

Super soft and comfy. The waist feels to run a little large. Baggy everywhere else perfectly.

I am 5'8". I originally ordered S Tall and they were WAY too long. I reordered small regular and they were too short. Bummed because I really liked these jeans otherwise.

I love these jeans so much I bought them on 2 other colors. They are both cute and comfortable. They do run big, so order down a size. I usually wear a 16 and fit into a large.
