I am 5'1, pear shaped (wide hips, thick thighs, smaller waist). I ordered large petite. The length was great. However, the crotch was very loose and baggy. The fit felt awkward. I returned it.

I told myself that I wouldn't buy anymore sweatpants, but I saw the baggy silhouette, and decided that they'd be a nice upgrade from the high waisted ones I'd bought a few years ago. I was right. They're a good weight that should last a while, and can be worn during multiple seasons. I like the looser style and full length of the leg. They run true to size.

I bought a medium in the Petite size range. The rise is definitely not Petite- I measured with other sweatpants I own. The pants go up way past my waist towards my ribs. I'll be returning both pairs.
