Slim Large are short

My son usually wears a size 14 slim. I got the large slim, and they were very short, like a size 10, although the waist was perfect. He had already ripped off the tags, so I cut them into knee-length shorts. Cute jeans though. Wish they had XL in slim.

I got these jeans for my 10-year-old boy, who's a bit on the chubby side. I went with the husky size, hoping for a comfy fit, and it worked out pretty well. The fabric feels nice and soft, and the waistband makes it easy for him to pull them on — always a win on rushed school mornings. Now, they did shrink quite a bit after the first wash. I followed the care instructions, but still, they came out noticeably smaller in both length and width. Thankfully, they still fit him comfortably (for now), though I suspect we'll be moving up a size sooner than planned. So while the shrinkage is a bit annoying, the comfort factor keeps these jeans in his regular rotation.
