I'm 5'9, 230, Size 16, C cup, & pear shaped. I ordered this in khaki & blue dot in 14 & 16. I've only received the khaki 14 so far (pictured), so my review is based on that. This is cute & I can't wait until my blue dot one arrives! The front split didn't seem too high to me (& I'm 40+ & dress very... moderately....lol). I was worried about that due to early reviews, but would've sewn it shut a few more inches if it had been a problem. The arm holes didn't gape on me, but I have large arms so maybe that's why. That said, I love: 1. The cut & material details of the corset-like midsection on the front & back. 2. It's light, breezy, unique, comes right above my ankles, & is flowy at the bottom (not stiff). 3. The collar does stand up as someone mentioned, but similar to a coat or cape collar, which I thought was cute & unique. 4. Yes, it is wrinkly, but the description says 100% cotton, so I expected that. I'll have it starched & pressed at the cleaners to make it crisp & it'll be beautiful. 5. I also don't own any lined shirt-dresses, so I expected it to be unlined (which it is). I like this dress.
Love the vintage-y concept, pockets, and cute polka dots, but this is as awkward as it looks in the pictures. The slit in front really is that high--there are no buttons below mid-thigh, so you can't make it work-appropriate by buttoning up a bit more. Although it seems to run small compared to stan...dard Gap sizing, the armholes are HUGE, so your bra is on parade. And the collar stands straight up, vertically, all the way around! Plus it's unlined and super wrinkly. Instant return, sadly!

First i really love this dress. it is crisp and clean look. it hung off my shoulder just like the picture. The fit through the middle was great and gave me a nice shape. However this is not a short girl friendly dress. I am 5'3" and it was very long. i would need to wear a heel of some sort but even then I just felt like the dress was wearing me. Lots of material. I would have had it hemmed but it was already very expensive and didn't want to spend more to make it work. Too bad because it was very cute.

This dress was a huge disappointment. The proportions are all wrong. The top is huge and ill fitting. I was so excited to be able to get this and ended up sending it back right after I tried it on.

I so look forward to wearing it, but the design is off -- the collar is so huge and vertical, it does not look good. The dress is perfect in length but it is so wide in the body. Very disappointed.

Love the dress, however I measured & ordered accordingly. The dress is too large. Unwearable! I tried to exchange on website & at local store. Sold out the day it arrived. I have had no luck getting my size. I complained on website customer support. No luck. This is an expensive dress I really wanted. Poor customer support.

I like the dress, though the chest is a bit small. Unfortunately, the store that shipped it left the security tag on, and now I need to go into the store to have it removed. I order online, so I didn't need to travel over 25 miles to pick it up :(

OBSESSED with this dress, I came back and bought another color! Those who are giving it 2 & 1 stars are totally missing the point of this dress! It is not your typical maxi shirt dress, it is meant to be worn exactly as on the model or to style it with more creative ideas like wearing with jeans etc. quality is amazing as is the design and all!
