I'm a true size 28 tall but these run very small. Size 29 fit slightly snug so I ended up going with a size 30 for a slightly looser fit. The fabric isn't stretchy so make sure you size up 2 sizes if you want more comfort!

Barrel shape is surprisingly flattering. Thought the looser leg would be cooler in the spring/summer. Material is a lightweight denim. Washed and line dried them…didn't shrink (all cotton). Took away a star due to quality control. I needed to try on each size 6 to find the right fit. There were differences in length and waist size (e.g., one pair was 2" shorter than another pair and one pair was too tight in the waist, another too loose). I usually wear an 8 in other brands. GAP seems to run a bit large.
