I'm a true Large and this was too big--I'd recommend downsizing at least one size. The bodice is thick and ribbed but no compression or boning so it bunches up weirdly under your boobs. The gauze portion is gorg, soft and has pockets! I wish the top was different

I love this dress! I needed something for my bachelorette/rehearsal dinner and this will be perfect. So flattering. I will say the sizing is different than previous gap purchases. I ordered a black strapless dress last season in a large petite and the fit is perfect. I ordered this dress in a large petite and it was very loose. I ended up sizing down to a medium petite and the fit is exactly what I was hoping for! So maybe size down in this.

I tried on a similar dress by the Gap past year and regretted not buying it, so I was hoping this would be similar. However, the upper body fabric lacks structure and isn't flattering on — it bunched in weird places and looked kind of weird. Returned it.
