I purchased these as a school pant for my preschooler who must wear navy bottoms as part of his uniform. For that purpose, they work well. They are durable, comfortable, and I love that they have a drawstring because otherwise, these wouldn't have worked for us. Here's why: they are definitely made for a slimmer child, where mine is husky. Therefore, I had to purchase a size 8, which is slightly large on him, but fit well with use of the drawstring, whereas the 6/7 (his usual size), was too small. Heads up: these are on the thinner side, suited more for spring/fall.
