The color is a rich darker brown than the photo. More like a UPS brown. But not ugly. Fabric is heavy but not super heavy weight. Not thin like an Old Navy sweatshirt. Good quality double stitching. I'm 5'6" and 220lbs. The size large fit me perfect in the shoulders, sleeves and chest. Except for my big belly. But still fits well. The length hits at and below the belt line. I bought two. It's hard to find cool stuff when you're heavy set.
