The gray shorts waist is a good inch less in XS than the black. This makes them too small and the small is too large in gray. The black get 5 stars, the gray 1, but I will rate an overall 4 stars. In reality I should wear a medium nut gave been in a S or XS for years with gap sweats.
I ended up giving these away. I've gotten other Gap shorts that were lined and lighter. These are not lines and kind of thicker than I like for exercise. I don't sit around the house in shorts and when I wear shorts in the summer I like khaki type shorts. These are comfortable just prefer exercise w...ear to sweat in and change out of afterwards.

The short is soft and comfortable. It is ideal to wear outdoors or while working out. I wish it also had an extra secret pocket with a zipper to keep materials safe during a workout.
