Reviews are all over the board, so here is my two cents. I'm 5'8"; 130; straight build. I ordered the Reg length, med size; wanted a snappier look, not "Yoga Pants. The weight of the fabric and attention to details; like waistband width, hem and center leg stitching tuck far exceed my expectations. The pair I received, in the red, are 5-star. If anything the fabric might be heavy for summer heat, but the wt also keeps you any tummy rolls tucked in. Based on my measurements the med size fit was everything I'd hoped for, but again, that's a pair of the red pant. Last but not least they are VERY RED, but very pretty! No orangey, pinky, dark red, but a very true red! I did purchase them just this week, so no idea yet of the wear or wash. But, given the fabric content they aren't going to shrink or pill, so I'd definitely recommend ordering them.

I love these pants! They're my new favorite work pant. Because I am 6 feet tall, I always have to get pants in a longer inseam. However, these are an exception. I first ordered the tall xl, and they hit me at an awkward place just above my ankle, like high waters. I returned them and got the regular length, and they are the perfect cropped fit. These are super flattering and comfortable and stay up.

I find the fabric to be thicker in weight- which, given it has cotton to it, should be okay in the summer. Regardless, the density give it a quality look. It doesn't look like leggings, it has a cute vintage aesthetic. I'm 5"5 and my waist is around the same size as their M size chart. I get bloated, so it's nice to have stretch in the waist as throughout the day the body fluctuates. The kick flare part is cute- it's a little short, but it works well with some loafers. Gap, I would love it if you could make a mid-rise version, just slightly shorter at the waist height. I find most mid rise items to be closer to high-rise anyway. I would say this is a true high rise (not super high).
