Bought a size 6 for my child that wears a 5/6. The waist is slightly loose without using the adjustment tabs, but they are very long. We will have to alter them about 3-4" to hit the top of her shoe. The material is very thick denim and the style is very on trend.

Lovely material and well made but will not work for a kid with a little tummy. Length works but doesn't fit my 8 year old around the waist - and I went a size up. Too bad as love them otherwise.
