I love this dress and I'm glad I ordered it, but these comments were not lying when they advised to size down! I would suggest sizing down at least one size, maybe two if you are on the cusp. I'm usually an XXL and the XL fits with room to spare.
Dress was almost obtrusive - obviously they tweaked the model's photo - WAY WAY WAY too much fabric. And the fabric was WAY too thin - better to belt with that fabric, obviously, but exceptionally thin. Wish i would of read the reviews prior to purchasing a no-return item.

Dress runs relay large but is still super nice, I would recommend sizing down 3 sizes if you're looking for a more fitted look, even then it will still be oversized.

gapcanada.ca/I read the reviews before purchasing, and sized down from my usual M to an XS. There's still quite a bit of room, I could have probably gone down to an XXS but I did want the oversized look since I'm planning on wearing it open like a long, lightweight jacket as opposed to a dress, so I wanted the extra room for layering. The material is lightweight, and seems to be of pretty good quality. I got it on sale (final sale) so I'm satisfied with the product for the price point, but definitely would not pay full price.

Typically, I wear a medium. Bought a small petite. Wish I had gone down two or even three sizes for a more classic look. If I were taller, it may have worked. Still keeping it. Love that it has side pockets. Material is soft but not thin.

Really wish I would have read the reviews on this one— obviously there was good reason for it to be marked "final sale." I got my usual size and wish I would have tried a size down, maybe that would have helped but I'm not sure. Wish I could return this one or at least exchange it for a size down.
