I am 5'7", 200+ lbs, 38-33-47, ordered a size large tall and it fits well. The regular length was also okay, but hit at an awkward spot for me. The material is stretchy and the denim is thick, but soft. This dress really is flattering on my pear shape. Yes, the zipper is a little fussy, but only bec...ause of the slider they used which is for a satin or lightweight dress, not a denim material. Other than that, the dress is great and can stand the test of time.
I chose my usually size, XL. I find XL fits my frame but is usually long so no surprise that being 5'2" it was even a bit longer than the maxi length pictured. Petites never fit right though I am the height of a usual petite. To be flattering and not overwhelming on me I will shorten it about 8 inch...es and it will be a bit below knee. Another alteration will be the straps which are about 4 inches too long set on the button hole to make it the shortest. Lastly the zipper is just a nightmare. Being a side zipper and not sliding easily when I was struggling to zip it I thought of Houdin Sometimes running a pencil along the teeth makes a zipper glide more easily. If that doesn't work I replace it with a zipper with bigger teeth. The princess seaming and proportion is perfect and the denim quality. It is well made. I am just glad I got it on a great deal and am a seamstress.

I like the cut of the dress, a nice neckline and the straps come with the option to make them longer, or shorter. I think it would have been a little easier to wear if it were made with a bit lighter denim. The denim is pretty heavy but could be worn on a cooler summer evening.

I had reservations about buying this dress, given the number of comments about the zipper. I am so happy that I ended up buying it!! While the zipper is better suited to a much lighter weighted denim or other fabric, it is not the problem that others have cited. The dress is so flattering and pretty. Because the regular size 6 was sold out, I tried the size 6 tall and it still looks great. An absolute winner of a dress. #sweepstakes
