I'm bummed on two points re: The modern crewneck T shirt that I am forced to repurchase over and over throughout the years because I am a woman over 6' tall. First, the (a) tall sizes only came in the requisite black, navy, heather grey and white. Limited color selection was ok because the fit was great, the torso was longer, and the material was the quality cotton, modal which really gave this shirt a form fitting and comfortable fit.
Beggars/choosers right? I'm tall. Even lacking the cool colors, th
This past order of these exact shirts delivered me a shirt made of a poor quality cotton--there is no modal in these despite the website (and the tag) stating "modal" and (b) these shirts are NOT Tall... at all—the torso was significantly shorter but was labeled Tall.
I compared it to the exact product, of which I have many, many in my closet.
There is no comparison.
I am so disappointed. I am sick about it in fact. This was my go-to plain Tee for over shorts and jeans. I feel like I lost a good friend because the very good quality and fit of this gap tee shirt is now crap.
I have no idea where I will go to find the one that once existed.
Did Gap just send me whatever they found in their stock and throw the tag onto it? and have they replaced quality material with cheap material? I double checked to make sure I'd ordered the correct Tee. Yes, same t shirt.
Considering the following experience with Hollister (which leaves me feeling that quality clothes will soon extinct)—from Hollister now . . .
I ordered 2XL TALL sweatshirts for our football player son from Hollister who delivered an average height XL hoodie WITH THE 2XL tag HAND SEWN INTO IT.
In the exact same order I ordered an average XL hoodie for the younger brother and the brothers hoodies, when placed one on to the other for comparison proved identical in size. HAND SEWN TAG. This leaves a sick feeling in my stomach--much like loosing this favorite gap Tee. No care. No integrity.
