Sad to say this is a 1 star dress. I bought a L because I bought the white dress last year in L and it fit well. This dress…construction is entirely different and there is no stretch/no elastic at the waist, and it's incredibly tight and cut small. The buttons are NOT functional so you cannot unbutton. I wasn't able to even get this dress on—promptly returned. It's very pretty and I would have loved to have been able to try it on and wear it, but the features, form, and function of this garment are just poor.

I was hesitant because of the sizing reviews, but I'm so glad I went for it! I'm usually a 12/14 and sized up to an XL—fits perfectly. It hugs the waist in all the right ways and gives a flattering shape without clinging to problem areas. If you carry weight in the midsection, definitely size up. Love this purchase!

I'm obsessed with this dress and wanted it to work SO badly because it really is adorable and well-made! However as a lot of other reviewers mentioned, the sizing is off :( The small was super tight at my waist, but the medium gapped at the chest it was so big. I thought about even taking it to a tailor to make work, but it just isn't worth it for the price. If it fits you right, I'm super jealous because it's a fabulous dress! For reference, I have a thin build - 5'9, 135lbs, Size 4.

This is a great dress! I'm more of a sale shopper but this really fits my aesthetic. Love the old chemise look of the top. It's voluminous at the bust and hips and fitted at the waist. Fits my shape perfectly. Almost too full at the full places but I think when it's hot out it'll work really well as flowing summer dress with a defined waist. And not everything needs to be fitted. I'm 5'1 and it's a full ankle length on me.

I am usually a L in Gap dresses. I purchased both the XL and the L in the black and found the fit completely off in bizarre ways. The top of the dress in XL was way too big --like twice the size it should be even for someone who is curvy. The waist in the L was so small I could not get the dress on. Really disappointing because the dress is gorgeous, but the fit was just so off. This was not the case with the last Gap/Doen collab where the measurements seemed normal. Returned both dresses.

The chest was way too bigand hips too tight for my body. There's no stretch because it's 100% cotton so there's no give, if you have a curvy top and a little waist this would look 10/10 on that body type. But sadly, on mine it was a 2/10 and I'm returning. #sweepstakes
