These pants are fantastic! Soft and beautifully tailored, but they are too big. As most of us know, Gap's sizing is never consistent, even within the same items. I bought the gray ones during their Labor Day sale because at full price, these are expensive. I bought an XL regular length because it is... my actual size. I thought it was the safer choice because there were no reviews on this item. They are huge! Too big everywhere. And too long. Now I must return them for a size large. They are worth the hassle for me because the style, the fabric, and the drape are perfect. I hope this review helps other buyers avoid going through the exchange process. I'm 5'5" and weigh 180. A size XL regular is too big in the waist, the hips, the back side, and about 2 to 3 inches too long. Size down and be careful if the length. They are the truly the type of pants that can be dressed up for work or a night out. They do not look or feel like sweatpants, but they are just as comfortable, this one's a buy!
This would be a 5 star pair of pants if not the the terrible quality seam at the bottom of the pant leg. I own this is both black and grey in S Petite, and on BOTH pairs the bottom "seam" of the left leg have come undone after 1 wash following the care instructions. To create a seamless bottom to th...e pant legs, the raw edge of the fabric is finished with a serge stitch, and is then folded up about 1 inch inside the pant leg to create a seamless look. However, this is NOT sewn down, maybe just attached with some sort of adhesive that comes off in the wash. So unless I want the unpleasant serged edge and folded crease line showing on my pants I will have to take them to the tailer to get the hem secured. Disappointing quality given the price of this item. Great pant fit and material otherwise, although after 1 month of wear the crotch area has some pilling due to thighs rubbing together.

I am looking for the perfect pair of grey trousers. This is not them, but they're pretty good. Slightly oversized and definitely more on the casual side. I got the Tall, and it's also generous. Back pockets are just for show, which is a disappointment - why don't clothing manufacturers understand that women want pockets? - but the fabric is interesting and I am generally pleased.

I am returning this item because even though it was nice material, it was too high rise and if I wore them more of a mid rise fit, the crotch was super baggy. I wish there was more detail on the front anyway, it doesn't QUITE look like work pants they still have a sweatpants vibe.
