The small is much closer to a Med, maybe even a Large. I swim in this thing, but it is super comfortable, soft, and warm. My other complaint would be the noise. I hate that sound it makes when I move my arms, and it rubs up against it. It's that zip-zip scratchy sound that makes my skin crawl at times. I get that all puffy winter jackets are like this, but this one seems to be a bit more irrating.
