I always appreciate when stores offer petite sizes, especially in T's. I also buy the JCrew Vintage T and their regular size is exactly the same as the Gap petite size in length and body width. The large petite is 22" and comes in great colors. The fabric is nice and I put it in the dryer for 15 mi...nutes - about 1/2 way dry - to see if it would shrink. It didn't so next time I'll put one in for the full time and see what happens. If you wantt a comparison of the Modern T vs the Vintage T I tried both. The Modern is a much closer fit and much longer - see the comparison pic. I ordered a petite large in each, the Modern is 25" long and the Vintage is 22" long. I prefer a looser fit at my age (61) so the vintage was a better choice for me. Both shirts are nice, the fabric is nice, it depends on how you want it to fit
I'm 5' 10" tall, 38B, size 12, about 180lbs. I used to buy these tall vintage v-neck tees before I had kids. Then I didn't buy anything for myself for years and decided recently that I should probably update my wardrobe with a few new basics at the very least, so it doesn't look like a summertime ve...rsion of the Pigeon Lady from Home Alone #14 is dropping my kids off at school. So I ordered what I thought would be the same exact tee shirt for myself, plus a few of the men's tees for my husband. My husband's shirts cam and they're the same high-quality gap v neck tees he's been getting for years, made ut of good cotton material and which will clearly last hime another 5 years. But MY tees came, and they're basically made of tissue paper, NOT EVEN REMOTELY LONG ENOUGH TO BE CONSIDERED "TALL" (only three inches lower than my high-rise jeans... ummmm... these are not nearly long enough), the seams are littered with stray uncut threads, and, and, ANNNND, the V-neck is all goofy and stretched out and ugly. WHAT THE HECK? Gap women's tall used to be long and flattering, and made of much better fabric. It's a comically bad shirt and thank goodness I only ordered one instead of the original six that were in my cart, because my spidey tee-shirt sense kicked in last minute, and I though to myself "Let's just buy a single test shirt before jumping into the deep end." You get one star for that nice light gray color.

I'm a petite, but even the Tall t-shirt is too short for me. Great fit otherwise, and the cotton is wonderfully soft, but I can't wear these without a cami underneath, and come summer I won't want to do that. Makes an otherwise great t-shirt unwearable.

I have always loved Gap shirts but the ones I had ordered lately were too short (more like a crop top) so when I lift up my arms you can see my belly (I hate that). Nobody wants to see a 56 year old belly and the neckline was way to low where I was not comfortable to wear this shirt. I have to return all of them. After looking at all the shirts they have to offer, why do all of them say "sits at the hip" -that is what mine said. Are all the styles shirts this year now almost a crop top? I did order down to a small when it says easy or relaxed fit (aka wide), I usually wear a Medium.

everyone needs to decide what works for them - so if you like tees that just hit just at belly button these Gap T-shirts are for you (good luck with washing and the shrinking). I love gap-tees brought them for years, so I would love to now why these tees look like where ever they were manufactured got the measurements for length and width confused- GAP quality control team - really need to take another look.....

I'm 5'7", which I consider an average height, and this is way too short on me. If I even start to lift my arms, it shows my stomach. Going to try a Tall and see if that does the trick.

First purchase from The Gap and will be my last. Shirt came with the tag ripped in Half, all wrinkled and it stunk of perfume! It was a return that appeared to have been worn. Would have returned it, but it would have cost as much to return as the shirt cost. First time buyer and huge disappointment. The pink tee I bought was put in the wash in cold water and the color completely faded so it looks used. Beware! I will not buy from The Gap again. I use Old Navy quite a bit, same parent company, but have had much better luck there.
