Not sure why several reviewers are displeased with this shirt--I liked the first two I bought so much that I bought 4 more. I actually prefer that they not have ruching on the sides since without it they are better for layering and with a baby due in April living in the Northeast, I will be doing a ...lot of that throughout this pregnancy. These are soft and thick like the non-maternity modern shirts, and fit really well. I'm only 18 weeks, but this is my third so I have a pronounced bump and my torso is long on top of that and these do a great job covering the full panel on my maternity pants. Also, my cup size has significantly increased (34C to 36D) and the V on these is still reasonably demure. They might not fit at the very end of my third trimester, but they're fitting a lot better than even my longest non-maternity tees. Give them a try!
I am completely fed up with Gap's maternity clothes in general, but for this particular item there's no ruching on the side, and it's clearly designed for a non pregnant person and just enlarged it in all dimensions. They are marketing to pregnant women but they aren't designed specifically for us. ...It is NOT designed based on pregnant dimensions. Will be returning like I have the other 6 disappointing maternity items I received from Gap.

Absolutely love this maternity long sleeve white top! The fabric is super soft and breathable, and it has just the right amount of stretch to grow with my bump. The shirt is ok. Medium feels too big. Seams are thick and sort of cheap looking. No sizing consistency between the item and the size chart.
