great for intense workouts
great pair of capris - I bought them for hot yoga and the are holding up nicely. Good wicking and they dry fast. The seamed contours are very flattering in the thighs and hips.

Very slimming
Great capris, they are very slimming. These are kindof like tights, you have to pull them on b/c they are so tight. BUT they are still very comfy. Only issue I could have is that the material is so thick, I think it's going to be uncomfortable to wear these anywhere when it's really warm out (so far it's been cold/cool). All in all, very flattering capri bottoms. Perfect for yoga and the gym, or for a run.

Love them!
Saw them on a friend in yoga & knew I had to try them out...so glad I did. They are my favorite yoga pants now. So comfy, not too tight, not too loose & wash/dry wonderfully. Purchased them in Small & I'm 5'5", 130 lbs. Also love the side seam details going down the legs- very happy!

Don''t stop making these!
These are really versatile! I have three pairs now (one is grey -- I wish they were still available in this color) because I work out every day and need to have a clean pair ready at all times. I commute by bicycle to work and these capris are perfect for cycling. When I arrive at work I am not shy to walk through the lobby of my office building wearing this workout clothing because the fabric is thick and opaque and offers good compression. But they're not so tight that you can't move freely -- there is complete freedom of movement. In the summertime I sometimes put a skirt on over them for a really cute, sporty look. I love my Gfast capris!!

in love with these leggings
i've tried every workout capri from danskin to nike to lulu lemon and these are just amazing! slimming, thick cotton that holds wash after wash, these pants are excellent and so versatile. i wear them as 'casual' wear on weekends with a tee or loose tank, to pilates, yoga, and spinning. super absorbent sweat wise too. my absolute favorite workout pant!

Bought My Second Pair Yesterday!
I truly love these workout capris. I bought my first pair about a month ago and after reading the reviews I went with a size smaller than normal (small while I'm 5'8" and 140 and would normally go for a medium). They are perfect for running or vigorous workouts. Going a size down definitely gave me a 'compression' feeling and makes for a much more confident workout at the gym. My only qualm is that since they are snug and I have wider hips there's a definite difference in my silhouette where the capris sit around my waist but nothing that can't be solved by a looser fitting shirt. I have the yoga capris and pants in a medium and I would not recommend wearing those (at least for my size) for more strenuous workouts. Also, like other reviewers have commented, I've tried Nike, Adidas and every other "workout" brand known to mankind and NONE are as flattering or moisture absorbing as these. I was SHOCKED the first time I wore these and they didn't bunch in the crotch, show any sweat below the belt even if I went from running to machine workouts and I didn't have to adjust them ONCE or even fidget with them while moving from machine to machine. GREAT, GREAT workout capris (as long as you go a size down)

Great!
I'm 5'11" and these hit me about 2-3 inches below my knee...just where I thought they would. I ordered a large, where I usually get mediums in Gap clothes, because of the tighter fit. They fit perfectly and make my rear end look GREAT! There is also no...shall we say...toe of the camel in the front..sorry to be crass...but there you have it. They are flattering in every way, shape, and form. I love running in them on chilly mornings. I've washed and line dried them a couple times now and so far they're still like new. I do wish they had a hidden pocket like the longer tights do, that's the reason for only 4 stars.

A great pant for running!
Make sure you get these pants or the gflex pants for running...the cotton blend one is great for yoga, but not running. Love these pants!

Nice Fabric & Cut, Needs a Drawstring @ Waist
I love the fabric & cut of these capris, but I felt like I was constantly pulling them up. Most active capris have a drawstring type waist - these capris REALLY need that - otherwise they are useless for exercising, yoga, etc.

Waist does not hold its shape
These are good fitness pants for gym and yoga, but too hot for cardio workouts such as Zumba, kickbox, or running as the material is thick does not breath. As another reviewer pointed out, the waist stretches out quickly. The pants fit perfectly when I put it on, but halfway through a yoga class the waist would stretches out so much that it no longer hold its shape. It would shrink back to shape after washing and drying but would stretch out each time shortly after wearing. . I liked everything else about the pants except this problem - it is annoying enough that I returned the pants. For reference, I am almost 5'4", 105 lbs, and purchased XS which fit fine (except the waist problem).

Good at first, but...
I loved these as first. Super cute, and extremely flattering to my thighs/hips. I went up a size (bought a small when I'm usually an XS) due to the all over tight fit. Even in a small, they were kind of a pain to put on, but they looked great - no lumps or bumps and not sheer. So good in fact, I bought 2 pairs. I wore them for a 2 hour bootcamp type workout and by the end they were totally stretched out in the waist - I had to keep pulling them up. After washing (same way I wash all myworkout clothes, which hold up nicely and retain their shape) and drying on low, I compared them to the unworn/unwashed pair. The waist was suddenly an inch larger when layed flat (so closer to two inches bigger in total). Totally stretched out after a single wearing and washing? No thanks - these are going back.

love these leggings
I wear these leggings for running and yoga, and around the house A LOT. They are super comfortable and very flattering. I love that they are sturdy and don't lose their shape. I am glad I tried them on in the store because they definately run small. I am 5'2" and 115 lbs and M is snug. I have two pairs in M and one is tighter than the other, but both feel great and I plan on buying more of these.

Fabulous pants!
I just got these in the mail. I also ordered the capri ones. I'm 5"3 and weigh about 120 lbs. I ordered a size small and they fit me perfectly! They are a little snug but I like leggings to fit me in that way. I just started wearing them and they are so comfortable! Some reviews say they are great with hot yoga so I am going to test that out! They are also really nice for just lounging around and running errands. They are a bit long but I actually like that scrunched look at the ankles..These are a MUST BUY!

Great!
I really like these workout leggings. I wear them for running, yoga, and i layer another pair of leggings with them for snowshoeing or walks in the woods. I also wear them around the house chasing after my toddler. I am 5'3" and 128 pounds and I got a small. I find that they fit very well. The medium was too big in the waist and since I wear them for running I need them to stay in place. The fabric is stretchy and thick - I have not had any issues with sheerness. I used to wear lots of lulu wunder unders but the price of those is going up while the quality is going down. I think these are a great option because the fit and quality is comparable, if not, better! Especially if you get them at whatever % off gap is offering. I would like them to come with a hidden drawstring in the waist just so i can cinch it and not worry about my leggings sliding down when I run. Other than that, highly recommend! Thanks gap for making affordable, quality workout clothes that are also flattering!

and that means a little bit of adjusting throughout the day -- crotch, legs, etc -- especially if you're moving around a lot. Love that these are completely opaque, and not shiney. Not too low in the waist and good length. I'm 5'8'' and 125lbs and I got the medium and they fit perfectly. A little pricey - wish I had waited until they were on sale. I use them for yoga or under a tunic around town/classes and they're thick enough to keep me warm on windy days.

Amazing
I have had these pants for a year and they have been great. I can wear them for anything- working out, hanging out, or even going out. I can wear them with sneakers as workout pants or pair them with heels and a fancy top and go out to dinner in them. You can't tell they're my workout leggings :) I have them in all styles and love them. I am very careful with washing my clothes (I always wash cold on low spin and never put them in with different textures) and they still look like new and have not pilled. They keep their stretch all day and I feel comfortable in them and feel like I look good. I felt like I should write a review because I was just looking at my $65 nike leggings which I wear much less and look 10x older than these. I have purchased these for presents for friends and they love them. I would suggest going a size up though if you are in between sizes.

Nice fit, fabric, lines
Clever Gap. You've gone off and emulated another *very* upscale yoga apparel retailer (with a slightly unpronounceable fruity name), and almost done it better for a cheaper price! I'm 5'3 and always on the lookout for exercise capris that don't make me look like a midget swimming in excess fabric. These have just the perfect amount of compression (not enough to promote muffin top, but enough to hold things in), and a nice length (though hey, in my world of shortness, I'd probably make a version that was a couple inches shorter). For all you average to-taller ladies, though, these should hit about right. Anyway, kudos to Gap for coming out with an affordable, well made exercise line of pants/capris. I'll be buying more!

Awesome capris!
These are so flattering and comfortable! I want to buy 5 pairs and wear them every day! I just wish they came in a dark blue for some variety as i'm not so big on grey and I have the black. I am 5'5" and weigh 150 (more than most of the women posting here) but am very athletic, just carry a bit more in my rear and legs and these are super flattering. The size medium works perfectly for me. They really help play up my small waist. I do yoga, boot camp, weights and cardio machines and these work perfectly for everything, along with running after my 2 year old at the park! Great find!!

nice workout pants
I'm 5'2, 115 lbs, and a size 2 or XS going by the measurements on the Gap size chart. I looked at these capris in the store and realized there was no way I was going to fit into an XS. I got the S and they are still very snug on the thighs. Granted my thighs are the biggest part of me, but be warned most people will need to size up in these unless they're really proportionally thin through the legs. That being said, the blackberry color is very nice and a pleasant change from your average black yoga pants, and the pants were comfortable and satisfactorily wicking.

Good material
These pants are a great material--perfect for hot yoga. But, due to the nature of the material they run a little small. I am typcially a small in Gap pants, but a medium would be more comfortable.

Loving these pants!
Thank you Gap for making exactly what I wanted! I am tall (5'11"), and usually wear a size Large. I'm always searching for "long" lengths so my pants don't shrink up on me, and these are perfect! They are much thicker/warmer than most yoga pants I have owned before (including VS). The quality of the pants holds up through the washer and dryer (I really like the spandex component). I have already ordered a second pair, and have a feeling I'll be ordering more! Thanks again Gap! :)

Stretch tastic
I was looking for a yoga pant that wouldn't collect as much lint as my cotton yoga pants. These pants are made of a substantial stretchy fabric that doesn't collect much lint. They are very fitted, but I look for fit and support in a yoga pant. I chose the petite length so I wouldn't tread on the cuffs. Namaste.

3 Gap Body Pants to Compare
I have three pairs of gap body workout pants now. All very different. These are the thickest fabric. They look great for working out. Very black and "nice" looking with a little sheen. I am 5'3", 115 lbs with muscular butt and thighs, and ordered the small in ankle length after reading the other reviews. They are a bit short on me. But good for yoga. (I like pants a bit longer to make me look taller.) I like them. I also have the dance pants. They are very thin. Maybe see through. I wear black undies to make sure they don't show. But very comfortable. I like to run in them. The others I have are the fold over tops with grey inside. They are a good weight. Maybe not as flattering to my thick legs but still good looking. They look like they may fade a bit, but so far (about 5 washings) they still look good. I think all three pants are better than what I have found at Old Navy or at [@].

BEST YOGA PANTS EVER
hey girls - these are the most flattering yoga pants I have ever found. I am a pear shape with larger thighs - and also just had a baby (I'd like to blame my lower body on my son - but I can't). :) I have tried countless black yoga pants on (and bought countless pairs). Including a 85$ Athleta pair - yes - you read that right. I so wish I had tried these on 1st. The biggest plus is how they suck you in where needed. They slim my legs so much. The capris and maternity gflex are also AMAZING. Go buy this pant - they also wash well and don't pill. LOVE!

perfect fit, length and tightness perfect for me (5'7" 130lbs) which is amazing because i have had such trouble finding a yoga style pant that fits well all around. i love that these are slimmer all the way down: with not too much extra material at the bottom, (which some yoga pants tend to have). im so happy with these!!!

Very nice exercise pants!
I really love the gFlex pants for my Zumba and yoga classes. I own several pairs in different colors. The black ones I just purchased are actually a little long for ankle length. Since Gap exercise pants don't come in petite length I get the ankle length (I'm 5' 1"), but there is an inconsistency in actual length from one color to the next. I definitely love these pants for exercising but I would recommend you try them on to see what works for you. The material is not too heavy or too lightweight. I would say they are true to size. I'm 114 lbs and I take a size small and they fit just the way I like them. They hold you in, no muffin top, but they are not super compressive or restrictive.

these are the best anywhere!
I've tried all kinds of yoga pants at all price ranges. These are twice as nice as the best out there, even Lucy pants that cost $100. Well made, great sturdy fabric. I wear 10-12. I like the L for workout, walking, have XL for wearing to work as my boyfriend thinks the L are way too sexy...

Oh. My. Gosh!!! FINALLY!
I used to swear by NY & Co's yoga pants. They became hard to find, faded fast, and weren't very long. After reading the reviews on the Gap gFlex pants, I thought I would try them. LOVE!! The material is great, love the length, and they're flattering! I can wear them to workout, or just out in general...and they look great! I now have 4 pairs:-) I have recommended them to everyone who loves yoga pants like I do.

great pants
I really like these pants. I prefer a petite pant for dress or jeans, but these in regular are fine. I think it depends on how long you like your workout pants to be. The material is good and feels substantial, like it will really last. These are a good change for cooler days or times when shorts just aren't right. I would wear these for running, yoga, pilates, dance...just about anything. This material wicks moisture so they feel better to me than regular cotton/spandex pants would. HIghly recommend, even at the regular price. I got my first pair on sale, but I would and will buy more.

Good pants for the price!
These are great workout pants for running, yoga, etc. They provide great support, have a nice rise and waist fit, and are a very nice fabric - dark black, just enough stretch, no "shine". They run a bit small in the thighs and groin area. If you're self conscious about your rear these may not be for you, but since I wear them for running rather than "running around town", I actually like the snug fit and support. They also run a tad long, I'm 5'7" and wish they were about a half inch or so shorter. Bought them on sale and feel they were well worth it, wish I'd bought two at that price.

Pretty good
I bought Gap Body yoga pants about a year ago in store, and the material was a bit thicker. When I first put these on, the slightly thinner and silkier material felt nice. I love that I can wear these around the house without feeling like a slug in sweatpants, or on my daily run. It is important to note, however, that just like my first pair, these yoga pants seem to age quickly once washed. I tried to avoid it for as long as possible, but washed them after a spill and am disappointed by the result. The material seems static and pills.

Love, Love!
Great for yoga or any active sport. Very comfortable, great quality! Would love them in another color. Perfect fit - I'm about 5'2, 110 lbs.

Comfortable and Soft
I bought the fitted capris for workouts about a month ago and absolutely loved them so I decided to buy the yoga capris as well. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs so I decided to go with the mediums for a looser fit since I bought the fitted capris in a small for more high intensity workouts. I did restorative yoga yesterday involving a lot of "napping" positions and these allowed an easy range of motion without feeling like compression tights.

Marathon worthy!
I ran my 6th half marathon on Saturday and I wore these for the race. They were great! The only thing I don't like about them is they were longer than I expected and it was a warmer day so I would've liked if they were shorter just because it would've been cooler. They didn't chafe or anything! I also do Crossfit and I know they will be fine for that kind of work out and also yoga. Very versatile pants.

GREAT FIT FOR YOGA
I''m 5'7"ish, 140lbsish. Usually wear a M bottom, purchased them in M. Having done yoga for almost a year now, I feel more comfortable wearing these. I had 2 babies in 4 yrs so I've been working on my flabbiness. They are definitely fitted if you don't have stick legs(which I don't) but comfortable. Not sure I would feel confident enough wearing them in the daylight. BUT they are perfect for in the dark yoga. Just ordered my 2nd pair.

Very cute but too long for petite women
These are great fitting capris, especially for the price. They are generally flattering--- they seem to help flatten my tummy and definitely make my derriere look more shapely!! I wear them for yoga, zumba, running/walking and, since they are not super tight, they are appropriate for getting coffee/running errands after working out. One problem: they are too long!! I'm 5'2'', got the size small and they hit at the ankle on me! I know they would look better just below the knee beause I ended up hemming them. PLEASE, Gap, make petite sizes in these so I can buy more!!!

stretch pants
wow these are tight! i was hoping for some comfortable (maybe a little form fitting) but they were like leggings. very disappointed. going else where for my yoga and work out wear now.

... my first pair of ... considering I don't even know a single ... move. I love them. I'm usually a small in ... bottoms at gap and ... fit perfectly. I'm about 5'6" and ... little long, which I love. I wish ... came in grey too, but I bought the grey ones with the blue band also, and ... great too.

I love these yoga ... Im pretty tall so it is very hard for me to find yoga ... wont shrink! ... just long enough even after washing and drying! ... make my butt look great too! LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I wear them everywhere!

Love My ...
I love ... so much, I own 3 pairs! ... just as nice as Hardtail ... especially love them because ... come in length. I am 5'10" and it is difficult to find long ... won't shrink in the wash. I will say that ... great long, but when I wear them out the bottoms sometimes touch the ground, depending on the height of my sneakers or flip flops. ... fabulous ... wear all weekend with tight tunics and even wear them out to the grocery store or to the park with kids. ... very flattering too....love them and you will too!

Most Versatile
I am a 50 year old woman who is 5'8 and a half inches, with relatively long legs, and 148 pounds...Lately I have been wearing a size 8 in most ... though a size 6 fits with some companies (the ones that try to make us think we are skinnier than we really are)...I like the way the size Large Long fits me...I like the fact that the ... run long, bec. I just pull the waist band and ... all the way up (in the direction toward my chest in a sense) to make the length appear shorter, and then I fold the very wide (vertically) waist band over a little more than other people may, yet it still looks and feels great... When ... feel too long while I do yoga, esp since yoga is done barefoot, I pull the ... leg up at the thigh and make them shorter...This is possible for me bec I do slow yoga with props such as a chair, however it would probably be difficult if the yoga was quicker and more aerobic...I love the versatility of these ... including the fact that I can wear them with flat slip on sneaker like sandals, and I can dress them up with high heels...I have had them in black (with grey waist band) for about a year now, and ... wash and dry well...I throw them into a cold warm or warm wash, and I dry them inside out all the way on regular hi heat...I want to get them in grey now, but ... have not been available in large long for some time now...I read recent customer reviews and notice that people who are my size and even larger are taking a size Medium, so I am wondering if anything has changed about the sizing...also, I am wondering if the sizing is different in charcoal as opposed to black...If the sizing has changed as it appears, then I would be able to get the charcoal in a medium now...They are so soft and comfy and durable and versatile...I cannot wait to get them in charcoal, and I hope ... become available in other colors such as brown or chocolate...Please make them in that color Gap!

Best ever yoga ...
This style is like the ... high end yoga store and one third of the price! ... very snug fit and my 5' 3" 100 lb. frame fits nicely in the small ankle size. (The extra small was too tight in this style for me.) ... make the perfect yoga or workout outfit when paired with the performance tops. ... can be worn for quick errands around town and still look polished. ... wash and dry nicely. I dry in the dryer a bit and place them over a hanger while damp to dry completely. I think this keeps them looking new longer.

Perfect For Me
I have three pairs...what else can I say? I usually have a problem with my waist and yoga/exercise ... mostly because I don't have one. Most ... curve in at the waist, creating an indent and "overage". I'm striaght from the waist down. The rest of me is pretty small. I ordered a small in these and ... fit perfectly, with a soft waistband that doesn't cinch. The rest of the ... fit like a glove and are very slimming and easy to move in. I find myself wearing them other times than just for yoga.

Very very comfy
The ... so comfortable I would wear them all the time every day if it was socially acceptable. ... very flattering on my behind and it seems it also hides those ugly panty line issues I have with my other leggings and ... I'm 5'2" and the XS ankle length fit perfectly.

Best I have tried
I love yoga ... mean love. I really like the roll over type and have tried most of the available ones on the market. I finally saw that Gap made these when I was pregnant and looking for maternity ... first pair I bought were the Maternity ... yoga ... which I LOVED). I bought these after I had my baby and ... were exactly what I was looking for. Not only did it help support my tender belly, but it helped suck it in! The waist, hips and upper thighs of these are tight and supportive, which is great for running if you have a little extra weight in those areas. There is double strength stitching on the legs, especially inner thighs, which is absolutely essential for anyone who's thighs rub together at the top when you run (come on, you know who you are!). I always recommend not drying yoga ... drier because it lengthen the life significantly, and that is true for these too - plus it keeps them black longer. The 'long' was about an inch too long for me, and I'm 5'5", but I like it because I can wear it out in the city with just regular shoes and it doesn't look like I'm wearing casual yoga ... Highly recommend, I have three pairs!

Perfect Yoga ...
I really like these yoga ... am 5'11'' and have big hips, so yoga ... activewear can be very unflattering on me. I ordered these in a tall, and ... just right! The waist is versatile with the foldover, and the waist is also long enough from the inseam end to the top of the ... fabric has just enough stretch and feels very thick and supportive- enough for jogging and other light cardio but not quite enough for real running. My only warning is that the tall is VERY long , which is great for me but a warning to anyone who is wavering about ordering a tall or a regular.

Good yoga ...
... first yoga ... I've purchased from Gap and I was surprised by the quality for the money (especially if you purchase them on sale as I did). The fabric keeps its shape during your workout and is very comfortable. I like the foldover wasitband. My only complaint is that the regular lenghth is really long. I'm 5'5" and needed to purchase the "short" length so I wouldn't trip over all of the extra fabric during yoga class. This shorter length works great.

Loved the price but not the material
I was thrilled with the price and comfort of ... especially since the rollover waist is very forgiving and doesn't create a muffin top. The fabric was quite heavy and I was dissapointed in the "look". I am accustomed to Lucy's line of ... hoping they'd replace them in a more economical way. I have to say I'm sticking with Lucy.

I now own 2 pair of these pants and ordered a couple more the other day. They fit well and look polished even after many washings. They wear better than my lululemon pants which got a crunchy feel after about a dozen washings. And the Gap pants are a more reasonable price. I also own the zip jacket and it fits well and always looks great. I wear these ... clothes around the house and for almost every occasion except work. I wore them on the plane to and from the far east and europe on recent business trips and arrived 'crisp' vs rumpled. I just ordered two black tank tops to see if i can start to substitute them for my basic spanx tanks. Please Gap don't EVER discontinue this gStretch style!

Perfect Casual ...
Fantastic ... love these ... lounge in, walk my dog or to just run errands in!! They are very well fit & flatter my larger thighs. Most yoga type ... just too tight for many women & unflattering. These really are perfect! They drape really well by being fitted at the waist & hips as they should be, but then relax at the thigh. They wash very well & retain their color too! I have purchased 3 pair because I'm afraid ... discontinued but I certainly hope not because I'm sure I'll eventually want more.

Perfect Fit & Feel
Have been looking for months for this type of wide leg athletic pant to replace the worn pants I bought years ago and love, but which have since been discontinued. What I love about my old pants were the light weight, stretch material because they are breathable for workouts in the gym as well flexible for yoga. The gStrech are even better than my original pants.The material is light weight and has a bit more of a silky feel on the skin.They also are so flattering to my hips and butt. I also like the simplicity of styling...no sporty color accents, just black. Am buying more right now!!!!

Cute Exercise or Errand Pants- Glad I chose Ankle Length
These pants are just what I was looking for- great quality and relaxed fit without looking frumpy. I've worn them for yoga and could easily run to the store without looking a mess, and the quality is on par with more expensive brands. I am normally a medium/size 8, and I found these ran true to size with room for my curvy shape. After reading various reviews on all of the gap body pants, I ordered an ankle length. At 5'5", the ankle length is perfect for wearing with sneakers or being bare foot. My original order was for 2 pairs and I'll likely add another pair or 2 to my wardrobe.

MADE FOR CURVY WOMEN, Not for shapeless skinny girls!
I LOVE THESE ... own several pairs of them. I even cut a couple pairs off to knee length for summer to replace shorts. I mainly wear them for dance and Pilates, and for running errands, casual lunches/dinners, as a replacement for jeans or sweatpants on casual days, car travel, house cleaning. They look much more sophisticated than sweats or fitted workout ... Let's face it, all the skin tight workout ... market are aimed at teens and 20 somethings who have not filled out their natural, womanly curves yet! For those of us who have, and are not over weight, THIS ... BLESSING!

Really Strange Shape
After reading other reviews, I was expecting a high quality pair of comfy ... versitile for all kinds of situations. I ordered an XL, the same size as other loungewear I own from Gap, but the shape of these ... does not follow the same pattern. When these arrived, they fit rather tightly in the waist, hips, and rear, while the ... legs were huge. It didn't fit well on me at all and didn't have the flattering effect shown online. This must be meant for a yoga like silhouette because I would never be able to jog in these without tripping over the ... legs. The material is really nice, though--very sturdy and stretchy--and would last a long time I'd wager. All in-all, these were definately not the right pair of active ... me, but may work better on a different body type.

Not what I expected
I bought these thinking they were like the gap body cotton pants I have. They are more of a lycra workout pant than the lounge cotton pant I was looking to get. These are going back. Great ... size and shape if you are looking for workout clothes.

Too wide
They were a good length, but other yoga pants were much more flattering. I want them to make me look slimmer, not wider. The material is very nice though
