The 4's came to the bottom of my ankle bone, not exactly cropped per se - but the P6 were perfect. ... were about 2" above my ankle, perfect for that 50's cropped Audrey look. I bought multiple pairs in each color since I don't know if Gap will remake their "black magic" ... 2011. ... would ... both casual wear with converse and a t shirt and also with heels and a blazer for ... night out. If you want them truly cropped though consider getting a ... size (one size up from your regular size) for a shorter length. Love ...

I am 5'10" (in Gap/Banana wear anywhere from an 8 to a 10, and occasionally a 12) and probably should have bought ... tall - as ... bit more cropped than I wanted - ... don't hit at ankle for me - I'd say a good 3 in above my ankle, but I have crazy long legs so not surprised. Sometimes though I find the talls to be cut weird through the hips for me so I went w/a Regular this time. Love the ... - ... slim through hip and thigh & washes and wears well. I wear them with heels and a jacket to ... look great. However be warned - I bought this exact same ... Red and ... TOTALLY different ... Fabric is thinner, cut huge through hips and is much longer - hits at ankle and is not a "hugging" ... - the red ones get baggier as the day goes on. The black ones are perfect for ... night out, shopping, whatever you want - dress it up with a jacket, sweater, down with a t shirt. Overall an A.

Lint Problems?
I love ... perfect for ... heals or flats. I almost bought the JCREW PIXIE ... which I loved...but ... have NO POCKET on the rear so ... NOT for ... shorter shirt. ... GAP ... perfect. I am 5'9 and ... look great with ankles showing--exactly like the picture. My one HUGE problem is that ... attract link like crazy. I wore them yesterday OUT OF THE STORE because i loved them so much and have been searching for something like this forever, but i got home and realized I was covered. I was wearing a sweater- but I plan on doing that regulary,and I was NOT rubbing the sweater near the ... Has anyone else had this problem? Great and comfortable
I think that ... great for ... going out. ... comfortable and do not feel tight in the hips. I wear a size 6 in the gap jeans and I bought the same size in ... great. I can't wait to wear them out to ... week! (I bought them on sale in the store for cheaper also).

The cut is slim, but not confining. The silhouette is great for ... but the blend is comfortable to go casual. The crop length is perfect for me - I'm 5'5", almost ... height. At my size, it's hard to find ... proportion I'm looking for, but ... really close to perfect. Wish the waistband was 1/2 inch higher, but I can ... perfectly well. Love ...

Cute, but small
Very cute ... however ... were TOO tight! I got a 10P because I'm short, 5'0 but ... were way to snug in the hips and booty areas. The length is perfect and ... were flattering everywhere else. I returned them for a size up and I really hope ... because they're cute for ... going out.

Great ...
I'm 5'4" 130 lb, classic pear shape. I bought these after trying on all the premium ... store. These were the only style that worked for me, and they look great! They drape very nicely and don't hug the curves too much, good for ... got a size 6 Ankle. Normally I wear anywhere between 4-6 at Gap. The 6Ankle ended up being perfect to wear with heels and are very leg lengthening. i was suprised since they're ankle. Shorter ladies, you would want to order ... sure. I won't be able to wear these with flats, but that's ok. I bought these in 2 colors, that's how good ... Just a great ... staple.

Love these ...
These ... fabulous! I have to wear navy ... had such a hard time finding a good pair. These are amazing! They ... perfect, they slim your body and make you look leaner. They lay really nice on your body too, so you don't get any weird wrinkles or buldging. I really can't say enough. I'm close to 5' 11" and the long ... perfect length for me. Sometimes longs are still too short, but the length on these is great. The fabric is nice, since it is washable, does not wrinkle much and resists fading. Perfect for a super wearable ... I've ordered 2 pairs already and am tempted to order more, hoping Gap continues to sell these. Compared to some other Gap ... ordered, they do ... slimmer side. Not sure if I would say the run small or just run "slim"??

My absolute favorite ...
Normally Gap's ... don't ... me very well (unfortunately). However, I tried these on last summer while I was shopping for new ... clothes and absolutely loved them! I'm 5'2, and not very hippy, so I usually have a difficult time finding ... right, but these ... fantastically! I now have a couple pairs that I bought in a size 4 Ankle and they are the perfect length (short lengths are typically too short for my liking). I also wear these ... all the time and they are very comfortable and flexible! I just noticed the cobblestone color is available, and can't wait to purchase them!

Built to last!
After trying on a few pairs in a few places in a rush to find something for a large, upscale catering event, (I ... foodservice industry.) Gap saved me! The ... super incredible. The 00 ... like a glove, (Though a little long for flats.) and my pairs are truly standing the test of time (and machine washing!) I HIGHLY recommend these both for ... going out, and like I said, they really do stand up to lots of wear! I'm back for more for a reason!! :)

These will do!
As far as ... go these are the best I've found. Being that I've yet to see any female that looks good in any kind of ... I'll take what I can get. They are a little uncomforatble due to the high waist and lack of stretch but the length is perfect to wear with flats. I'm 145lbs and 5'5". I ordered a 6 which is what I would order in any gap ... If I wanted to wear heels I'd have to go with longs. These, along with the skinny Gap premium ... my go to ...

Quintessential ...
These ... the"little black dress" of the ... world. They ... great, didn't have any wrinkles after a 10 hour day at ... seem to be made of a very high quality material/stitching. The cut is perfect for ... (doesn't flare too much and isn't too tight). It slims your silhouette without flattening your rear. I would recommend these ... any one looking for a good pair of black dress ... office. Fyi I am 6'2. I bought these in a size 16L and was still able to wear a 2.5inch heel with them. Only downside is they don't have pockets.

i got this in navy and i wore them to ... last week. I love the pockets in the back; it makes your bum looks good. Since I'm barely 5'2" and i wear flats to ... works great. How comfortable I am with what I'm wearing matters a lot because my ... day is long...I am glad that the ... hold their shape well throughout the day and after washing them they still look great! These are going to be a staple in my closet...I'm afraid they will run out of stock so i just bought the navy pinstripes as well. i hope they will ... same. Gap should really make these in MORE COLORS!

I intentionally ordered the12Extra long tall 36" inseam, expecting that I'd need to hem them, but with my sensible hospital ... shoes they are a comfortable long ... I'm 6', 175, with no butt and they are slimming, and don't sag in the rear. The fabric quality is ... appropriate, but more thin than I expected. They will ... well for 3 season wear.

Love the ...
These are professional enough for ... formal office environment and are very flattering to boot. (And ... boots! :) I think they ... curves; I'm 5'8" about 150 and went with size 8 which ... perfectly. They flatter your butt without hanging off your waist and I ended up buying another color after loving the first. The only reason I marked it down a star is because they're not lined.

Missed the mark
These ... did remind me of what you could buy at the Gap a few years ago for ... however, I didni't like the overall ... seems like recent ... made for women with no curves. As a women with curves, I like a tailored ... but not tight around the butt. These ... had everything except they were too tight looking around the butt. Tailored ... do not cling to your bottom. Too bad, I had to return these. I did try a bigger size and they were just too big overall. Bring back the tailored ... clothes that you used to sell. Some people do still have to look professional; and the last few years, the GAP has offered nothing for the profession woman. The quality has gone downhill as well as the style.

Staple Work Piece!
I just bought these pants recently and they are one of the best editions I've made to my work pant collection. The straight ... very flattering and lends itself to the pant looking slightly more formal and less business casual. The material of the pant was a bit surprising, it's slightly textured and a but of a heavier material vs. the traditional material you see in a pair of work slacks. I did have the length tailored because they were still a bit to long for me (in the regular ... If you are looking for a good pair of work trousers, these are wonderful!

My Favorite
I have a really hard time finding work pants that ... me well because I'm tiny (I wear a kid size 14 in jeans). I got these in a 00 ... they ... perfectly! First pair of slacks I have purchased that I didn't have to get altered or wear 5 inch heels with. Comfortable, don't wrinkle, great slightly stretchy fabric, my favorite work staple. Also very versatile, when I'm in court I put on a jacket, on casual Friday I wear them with a cute blouse. I just wish they came in more colors! If you're small (I'm 5'3" 105 lbs) these are the perfect work pants, they don't swallow me up or look boxy, perfectly shaped to ... my small frame. Love them.

Great pants
These ... look very sleek, and are amazingly comfortable. I purchased five pairs for work, and I have worn them out in the evening as well. It is hard to find a straight leg, which is the most flattering shape for most women, combined with a rise that is reasonable and suitable for work.

Great work pants
I am a new mother, and needed some affordable pants to wear to work until I start losing the baby weight. Also, I am quite tall, and it is difficult to find work pants. These are perfect for work. The one thing I would say about these pants is that they do stretch as your wear them, so they can become a bit loose. Tall women, these pants are for you!

They really stretch out
These pants are cute. The cut is nice, the sizing is pretty true, and the gray color isn't too dark (I hate when I buy gray clothes and they look black). I like that the lower leg is slim without being painted on. But boy, does the upper half stretch out! When I first put them on, they were tight - obscenely so, showing lumps I wish I didn't have. I kept them because I had planned to wear a longer cardigan with them anyway. I wore them to work, and the first time I got up from my desk, the pants were quite a bit looser. I was happy, thinking that I would be able to wear them with shorter tops as well. The second time I got up, I had to yank them up because they had gotten so loose that they weren't sitting right at the waist anymore. For the rest of the day I was yanking on them. They will still work with a belt, but I think they could do with half the stretch that they have now.

Great Comfy Work ...
I needed a plain pair of black ... work, so I decided to check out what GAP had to offer. These ... true to-size, very comfortable, nice and stretchy. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and I would definitely recommend them. I will also be looking for another pair for work, as I now know how comfortable they are. The only reason I did not give them all 5 stars is because the outside of the ... little scratchy, but the inside of them, which matters most, are very comfortable.

My go to work pants!
These are my go to pants for work in the winter months! They are a little bit of a thicker material, but super comfortable and the ... true to size. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because I'm 5'5" and I bought the regular length which ended up being just a tad too long. I knew if I bought the ankle length, it would've been too short, so I just hemmed them. I also really love that it's a straight leg pant because most work pants that I've found have a flared leg, and I'm not adventurous enough to own a pair of skinny leg work pants, so this works out great for me! Highly recommend :)

LOVE these pants!
The true straight style is perfect for my more ... curvy figure. I have a fuller bottom half, and these work so wonderfully at slimming and lengthening my legs. Great for work. I wish Gap would make them in more colors than just black. I will say, the regular length was a LITTLE too long for me (I'm 5'5", but wear these to work with at least 2-3 inch heels). I had to have them tailored a bit. Still totally worth the purchase. The short version is too short, but the regular is a bit too long!!!

Nope. Way too long for ... length
Ok first off, these things are way, way too long. I tried these on in store, after eyeing them online for months. I though about buying them online, but I'm glad I looked at them in store first. The material is like a super thick, stretch khaki twill material. I guess I was thinking the fabric would be more of a cross between Banana's wool pants and ON's essential pants. Wrong. They aren't dressy (to me, I couldn't wear these to work at all). They're pretty much black khakis that stretch. Anyway, they seemed to ... me fine - the rise was a bit higher than I would've liked, and though they ... hips, there was a lot of excess fabric in the waist (that's normal for me though, my hips are bigger than my waist in most clothes). Everything was going good until we got to the ankles. The listing for ... ankle reads 30 inches. This is completely exaggerated. I normally wear a 30.5 or 31 inseam (I'm 5'2), and I would've needed at least 3 inches off the bottom for these to be tolerable, more if I wanted a straight line with no bunching up around the ankle. I was really bummed. It's hard to find pants in my length, disappointing to see that measurements listed are not accurate. I was hoping these would work, because due to my ... stature, I want slimmer leg dress pants, so my frame isn't overwhelmed by lots of fabric. keep on lookin...

Inconsistency strikes again.
I love cords. I wanted these to be a work staple for my business casual office. But they just didn't work, for a few reasons. First - they were MUCH too long. The 'regular' length usually works just fine for me when I'm wearing heels, which I intended to do with these. But even with 3" heels, they were still about 1 1/2 inches too long. So frustrating! And since I got them at 30% off, my savings were going to be eaten up in tailoring costs, which is pointless to me, for these pants. Second - the legs are MUCH slimmer than they look in the photo - fine for casual, borderline obscene for the office. It's not that they were the wrong size, either - the waist was fine, they were comfortable, just SO tight in the leg. But I think my third biggest peeve with these is that the two colors I got ... me SO DIFFERENTLY .i've had this happen with Gap jeans before, a darker wash will ... differently than a lighter wash. And that was true here. The dark brown, while very close cut, was almost workable. But the lighter brown? They looked HORRIBLE, the ... much closer, the waist didn't ... same, etc. Back they go. It's so frustrating. Why can't Gap just get it together when it comes to sizing consistency?! The only positive thing I have to say is that they're a nice weight. But that's just not enough to justify keeping htem.

Truly Classic
I love these pants! They are a fantastic choice for work. They're a classic cut that still feels very modern. These are definitely pants that is going to be an integral part of my work wardrobe for a very long while. The rise is perfect: not too high and not too low, which is very flattering for people with a bit of a tummy.

Perfect work pants
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PANTS. I bought these exact pants a few years ago and LOVE them for work. I just reordered them and they're still JUST as fabulous. Very slimming and comfortable especially for work. I work in the schools, so I need something professional, but comfortable. I just wish there were more colors and patterns available. I'd buy them ALL! :)

Amazing work pants, have them in 4 sizes
The perfect trouser pants really are perfect. I gained about 30 lbs before I started my job a couple of years ago so I needed work pants that didn't cost too much because I didn't plan to stay that size forever. I've lost the weight slowly over 2 -3 years and have repurchased these same pants in black and grey in each size (12, 10, 8 and now 6). They are the only style of pants that have looked equally great in each size. The modern boot looks good in 8 and 6 (size 12 and 10 were ok but drew attention to my pear shape in the larger sizes). I highly recommend these trousers to pear shaped women looking to de emphasize their lower halves and to anyone looking for an easy care pair of work appropriate trousers. The only caveat is the hem ... all Gap "premium pants" seem to have issues with the hem, I've re sewn each hem in every pair I've purchased. But I don't mind as all the other trousers out there (JCrew, etc) cost more than double the price.

Perfect Pants
Great pants for work. I am 5'9 and the regulars work for my flats and the longs are perfect for my 3" heels. The keep their shape and don't wrinkle on long days. I wish they came in more colors

Perfect Work Pants
These are great pants for work, nice quality, nice fit. They're softer after they're washed. I wear either a 0 or 2 in Gap pants. I bought these and the Wide Leg Trouser Pants at the same time, and I kept a 0 in these and a 2 in the Wide Leg Trouser Pants, so the Perfect Trouser Pants run a little bit bigger. I'm 5'6" with a 31" inseam, and the length in the Regular is about right with heels. I might have them shortened a tiny bit for lower work heels.

Perfect Work Pants
I am 5'11 and GAP is one of the few places that has decent work pants that are long enough for me. These pants are perfect! I bought them in a long (not tall) and they were perfect. I can still wear a 3.5" heel with it so it is great for work. They make you look slim and they don't wrinkle easily, which is great because I travel for work. Loved the gray ones so much, I went back and bought them in black! Sizing is typical of GAP clothing.

Nice pants, great price!
I bought these pants specifically for work. I ordered it in 8p and 6Ankle. Love the fit on both of them but the 8p fit slightly better in this style. I always order both sizes. I am 5'4' and the length is perfect with my mid heels for work. The gray color is versatile enough to go with many items in my closet. The material is a lighter weight and drapes well- good for the spring, summer, & fall season. I also ordered the modern boot cut pants(also in gray- but the color is darker). I kept both pants because both fit well and are slightly different. Bonus that I got these pants on sale!

perfect trouser for work
I love these trousers (speaking specifically of the poly blend, not the cotton blend). They are conservative but flattering. I like the thinner material (neither hot nor bulky). They are unlined but show no panty line or pocket lining. They can be worn in any season. Other reviews remarked that the material was "cheap", but I disagree. These pants are not meant for dressy occasions, but are very appropriate for work. I have always tossed mine in the washer and dryer, no need for dry cleaning. No need for ironing, either. They do not wrinkle or stretch out during the day (I am speaking of the poly blend trousers, not the cotton blend, which do unfortunately stretch with wear). They look great with a tucked in work shirt or with untucked shirts/sweaters, belted or not. I would like to see more colors (poly blend in lighter colors, if possible). I am 5' 6.5", around 128lbs, and wear a size 2 in these.

good work pant
I got these pants for work. I am 5'7 126lbs, the 2 felt snug, 4 is a little roomy but still flattering and extremely confortable. The regulars are a bit long so need a shoe with some lift. THese are easy to care for, wash, dry and wear. I work in an office and warehouse environment, these pants are versatile for both. These will be my traveling pants.

Mostly fab with one downside
Pros: Great for work, no dry cleaning/can easily wash and dry at home and they still look fab, reasonably priced especially during a 20-30% off sale Cons: I bought a pair a few years ago and those were much softer even though they seem to have the same % of each fabric content. Now there is a bit of a scratchy feel to them. Neutral: On the whole these tend to run long in the regular length, so if you are 5'4'' or less I recommend ankle length so you don't have to get them hemmed. I am 5'5'' so ankle length is borderline for me, but since I don't wear high heels they work for me.

Great work ...

Perfectly Classy Lady
I love the perfect trouser ... They are dressy and classy. I can wear them to work and to church also. These ... perfect for the curvy woman. They are extra long for those tall ladies who love to wear heels. The fabric is not too thin and does not cling to your legs when wearing hose. Gap please make these ... more colors. I can honestly say that I would get every color. I have a black and grey pair and now the navy pinstripe. And for those extra tall ladies, there is enough hem in them to get that longer length, but it is not needed. I am 6'0" in my heels, and the ... cover my shoes nicely. I get them dry cleaned; haven't tried washing them. Keep up the good work GAP!! It is so good to know that there are classy clothes for the Christian women in today's world.

I am always looking for navy ... These are cute and ... well, BUT are a bit wide at the bottom. The modern boot cut is better. I am only giving 4 stars as I think GAP needs to re think the excessive flare on these.

Don''t order online, try on in the store. Size chart completely off
I give 3 stars for a couple of fake back pockets too- real women have things like phones, pens, keys etc to carry around ... If I see pockets I want REAL pockets not fake ones. Side pockets are real but shallow. I would highly recommend NOT buying these online but finding a store and trying them on. According to Gap's size chart (and as a seamstress using nearly any pattern) I'm a size 10. Using sewing measuring tapes I ... almost perfectly into a size 10. These ... size 10 are HUGE- I would need at least 2 sizes down. This is fashion sizing just like many other users mentioned. They want women to feel skinny or "oh wow I'm a size 2 in these!" but the unintended consequence is you cannot order them online because the sizes are a complete fabrication not based on actual measurements for your size. I wish everyone would go back to the real pattern sizing it makes life much easier.

Don''t worry, they stretch.
I have these in a 12L and a 14L. I love my 12L's but I usually wear a tunic with them to cover the tightness on my backside (not obnoxious, I just prefer looser ... clothing). I ordered the 14L hoping they would be looser. They are, but you have to wear them a day to break them in. They stretch. They are great ... my staples for ... Very comfortable but I'm only giving 3 stars because of two things - 1) the length from the crotch to the waist needs to be extended in ALL sizes - there is potential c toe in both my 12L and my 14L if I'm not careful. 2) the length of the 14L is ridiculous. I'm 5'11" but come on, Gap, I'm not 6'5". Even with a heel, I have to have these hemmed. It's interesting that retailers are making Tall and/or Long sizes so ridiculously long these days. 34", guys, that's all we need. Give us more length in the crotch to the waist and less at the ankle. Ah, the search for the real "Perfect" trouser continues...but I'll keep these. Good luck, my fellow tall, "strapping" lasses...
