My favorite all time tee. Fits great, not flimsy and not see through. Great ... shirt to dress up or down.

my favorite tee
this shirt fits me great. i'm 5'2, 109lbs with broad shoulders for my size. i ordered a small. i love the fit. the shoulders are comfortable, the neckline is just right (smaller bust), and the length is good. it's my go to tee. i also have gap's v neck favorite tees which i love too.

Great, cute under sweaters
I bought this because the scoop neck looks cute under sweaters and it didn't disappoint. I am 6'0", about 140 lb, and the tall medium fits great. This tee is not as long as the favorite tee, which disappoints me a little, but it is still long enough to be comfortable and not worry about showing skin. I bought a few different colors and they are all cute. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the white color is NOT sheer like white t shirts can sometimes be.

Love this tee! I came back to buy more, but I wish there were more colors. The fabric is thicker than ON and fits so nicely. Love, love, love it!

Gaps scoop neck tees are my favorite tee. I wear it for work, getting groceries and going out. They are reasonably priced . I need to buy a lot because they seem to get little holes in them after a few washes.

best basic tee
I love this t shirt. It's soft and has a substantial weight,and it's cut to fit a women's curves. The scoop neck is low, but not too low. I have it in every basic color. I wish Gap would add a few fashion colors every season. It's a basic that I wear all year round.

finally, a great basic tee I''m happy with
I have been very happy with this tee so far. Material is not too thin, as tends to be the way ... shirts are made these days. According to size charts I am a size 10-12, so it is a bit of a gamble sometimes when I order tops, as they can be too small or too large depending on the company (even two of the same ... shirts can fit differently...). I ordered a medium tall as I often find that shirts are too short on me. I was quite please with the fit, definitely a longer ... shirt than others (I think I could have got away with ordering the medium). Overall very please. PLEASE MAKE MORE COLOURS!!!

Awesome Tee!
I love love love this tee shirt! I am a size 18 and a DD bust and most tees big enough in chest fit like a tent around my mid section. This tee is slimming but not clingy. The Essentials Scoopneck tee is well made with just the right material thickness. I also love that this tee is longer than most. It just falls at the hips. I love this tee so much that I have ordered 4 more. Thanks GAP for making this Tee!

Fantastic staple
I love these tee shirts. The scoop neck is very flattering for broad shoulders/full bust without revealing too much. I bought a bunch of them! On Gap's size charts, I measure out to be an XXL but XL fits better since they stretch out a LOT by the end of the day. The longer length is GREAT!

Love love love
Can wear casual, or pull it down just a bit and wear with heels for date night with hubby. This top is amazing and sexy- love so much. Gap PLEASE come out with more colors on scoop neck. Favorite tee material is highly superior to essential tee. The reviews on both speak for themselves!

fits to a tee
This is the greatest tee shirt ever made. Just a few reasons why I love them. It is not super thin like the ones at Old Navy. It is not too think either. It is super soft and cozy. It hugs my body, but it is not so tight I feel embarrassed. Also, this tee is long enough that I can riase my arms and not expose my belly. I am 49 years old and I don't want a teenagers tee shirt. But I also want something that is fitted. This is the tee for me. My only complaint would be to give me more colors! And they were out of white when I ordered.

Love it.
First off ... I really appreciate a crew neck tee that is longer ... so thank you gap! I love that the shrinkage on this tee is minimal so even after going in the dryer it still is longer and fits. I wish they had brown in my size when I ordered this because I would have gotten the brown too ... I brought one of every color ... a great staple.

perfect tee ...
Love these tee shirts. They look great even in a pinch dressed up w/ a nice pair of wool pants. Not just for jeans & total casual. Had to exchange a petite small for regular. I am normally a petite 0 in pants but in these tee shirts I need a regular small (5'3', fit 110lbs) These shirts are an attractive slim fit, not tight, but slim. Nice & soft.

Great ...
I love this ... because the material is not see through and the sleeves are cut well. They stay nice and close to the arm and do not "flutter" out like most tees do - so you don't get that weird wing look like you do with Banana Republic tees. Also, the longer length is so very flattering and I love it! I used to be a devotee to Banana Republic tees, but they are too short and too short in the sleeves. It would be nice if the gap ... material was a little bit softer and a tiny bit thicker, but still it is very good.

Best Tee
I've been on a search for a great fitted white tee that I can wear under my button up shirts for work for awhile now. Women's button ups are much more fitted than men's and since I sweat more than the average person, I often get sweat stains on the button up. I decided I needed to start wearing fitted tees under my button ups instead of fitted tank tops to help prevent the wetness from coming through and the nasty yellow sweat stains from ruining my expensive button ups. All the fitted white tees before this were too thin and the sleeves didn't fully cover my underarms. This tee however is thick, but not too thick. Just a nice quality cotton you would expect in a tee shirt. The sleeves are also perfect in length. No more sweat stains and ruining my button up shirts!!! I found out they carried these favorite tees in petite online so now I'm about to buy 8 more, not just for buttons ups. The different neck lines, sleeve lengths, and colors makes these favorite tees extremely versatile. LOVE!!

Perfect ...
I bought five of these shirts to wear to work (I have to wear black shirts and pants under my uniform jacket). They are PERFECT. The length is just right for my 5'11" frame, and the shape and color has stayed intact through several washes. I have purchased the Essential Tee too, but I prefer the slimmer cut of the Favorite Tee.

THIS IS THE ... SHIRT YOU''RE LOOKING FOR!
I was so hesitant to order this ... shirt because of confusion in the stores and in the reviews online. You do NOT want the Essential Tee. It's paper thin. You want the good, old Favorite Tee that we've all been wearing for years. I do think it's thinner than in years past, but it's still the best tee around.

My New "Perfect Tee"
I love this tee shirt. I have been buying a different company's perfect tee for a long time, I am a convert. I love the soft yet substantial fabric. The fact that I can get it in tall is great. I have a long torso, and often end up pulling my tee shirts down to make sure I am covered. With this shirt, I know my torso is covered! Being a teacher, it would be inappropriate to have my 'skin' show. This tee shirt is made of fabric that looks nice enough to wear on many occasions. I love it and bought it in all colors.Thanks Gap.

pretty good but not perfect
I actually really like these tee shirts, the fabric is thick and they wash really nicely. The only problem is they are WAY to long. I'm only 5'3" tall and the tees come all the way down to my upper thighs!!! I will have to take them somewhere and have them altered because of the length. Other than that, I really like the tee shirts. I thnk the Gap needs to realize that not all ... 6 feet tall!!!

unimpressive service
Three stars based on the ordering fiasco; I ordered a charcoal tee and light gray was shipped in error. I contacted customer service and a very helpful woman asisted me BUT the second shipped tee was also the wrong color. I am keeping it as I don't want to bother with exchanging another tee. The tee itself is great; just wish the sleeves were longer than on regular sized tees.

excellent "run around" tee
I bought this comfy basic white tee for jeans and chinos. Size small was an excellent fit. I love the soft, baby material. The v neck is very flattering. I wear this casual tee under my Gap vest and also love wearing it with jeans and a scarf. Can't go wrong with any tees purchased at Gap.

The perfect tee!
I bought this tee shirt in white, brown and black. I am thrilled to have them! The fit, quality and price are just right. I will wear them all spring and summer and return next winter to purchase new ones! This tee style is a "must have" for every wardrobe.

Great Tee!
Love the fit, the quality fabric, the easy style. My fave go to tee always. Needed to pick up some new ones as mine older ones were quite old. Gap Favorite Tee always fits well, washes well and lasts forever!

Nice tee!
This tee is a nice heavyweight cotton and it keeps it's shape. I'm petite and would have liked to be able to get the shirt in XXS but the XS still fits well. A great tee to wear with just about anything!

So soft on my skin
I love this tee shirt. I was looking for a light grey heather v neck tee. There is another Gap v neck tee (w/ pocket) that is more expensive. I bought it. The material was flimsy and the weave was kind of diagnol. Wierd looking. The fabric of the Essential v neck is extremely soft and very nice weight (medium). I bought 2 of them--same color because it is getting harder and harder to find this basic 'essential' in this color.

Love the V neck tee
Soft, non clingy tee that has just the right amount of V at the neckline. Wish that I had bought more. The tee holds up well in the washer and dryer. Love the sleeve and body length.

Favorite Tee IS Essential Tee
I posted a review a few days ago on buying the black an orange, then coming back to buy the others. In case it didn't take, in short, I'm 5'3", 100 lbs, and a 32C and bought the XSR. I sent the orange back because it was literally clementine color. I love that these are all longer (regular fit or not, regulars are often still too short) and that the V isn't super low. I hate having my chest pop out of a tee shirt. One thing I noticed in the reviews from others wae that they were upset that they were sent the "Essential Tee." Both of the ones in the first order said Essential Tee but in the second order, two said Essential Tee, two said Favorite Tee, all fit EXACTLY THE SAME! It's literally the exact same tee shirt. And the shirt is amazing. I will agree that the white is a little loosely woven so it is fairly easy to see through but I have various tan/nude bras so one will do well enough, or a cardigan will go over it nicely. All of the colors (purple and blue included) are great. If you're very fair and very golden toned, I'd pass on the orange though.

Just Okay..
This tee shirt was a little big, I can never figure out if I am a small or an extra small in gap shirts these days, the sizing seems off to me. I kept the tee only because I needed a new white tee shirt. I probably will shop around next time I am in the market for a new shirt.

Didn''t hide my mommy gut.
Nice tee! But, it was to tight for my gut. I have 3 babies and a mom pooch I'm trying to hide. This tee was recomended by a friend as a loose tee, but it didn't work for me.

slightly see through
I ordered this in the hopes of replacing my favorite Gap white tee from a couple of seasons ago - however this didnt fit hte bill - not quite thin enough to layer a tank under it, but you could still see a nude bra underneeth the tee.
