Don't listen to the negative reviews - these tanks are great! I am a ... top snob and I love these. I wear this type of ... cami under just about everything and even wear these to bed with PJ bottoms. I am so happy the Gap added spandex back into these tanks. I bought several of these from a Gap store a couple weeks ago and in fact, I am ordering more online today with a discount code so I can replace all my old tanks. These washed and dried well, they do not stretch out even after wearing them all day (unlike the previous 100% cotton versions that grow two sizes). I didn't notice any shrinkage in the dryer either. They are light and soft but thick enough to not be too sheer to wear solo. They do run a little large in general, but that is nothing new. I just size down one size as usual. For reference, I am 5'3", 38C, and usually wear a 8/10 pant and M tops. I bought these in S and they fit me fine. If you are a true petite, I think you'll need to buy the petite version online otherwise the armholes may be too wide for you. They work for me but I don't have a petite length torso or rise, just short legs. :-)

Tanks
So after reading the mixed reviews I went ahead and bought one of every color. I ordered Small Tall bc I am 5'8 and wanted them to be long. I don't like tanks riding up when I bend over. I absolutely LOVE them! I have bought ribbed tanks from [...] These WON! They don't stretch out and the material is soft. I have had so many problems with tanks losing their shape after a couple of hours. These tanks keep shape and don't look frumpy after wearing. Love the colors! Plus they are comfy. Very flattering for all figures!

Great Tanks!!
I love these tanks!! They are a lot better than the old 100% cotton ones. Don't get me wrong,.. I liked them too, but tanks are so much better when they have spandex. The 100% cotton tanks would eventually stretch out and lose its shape, but not these. Great job GAP on making these new tanks with spandex.

The Perfect Tanks
I always use tanks to layer underneath whatever I'm wearing. I've bought most of mine from Gap Outlet but didn't think the quality was ok this time. They were way too thin- more like ON tanks. So I looked to good ole' Gap to help me out and they totally came through for me. I LOVE them! The 5% of spandex is great to hold their shape. The super long length is awesome. They material is soft and thick enough. The quality on the tanks is good. I ordered 3 to try out and I'm ordering a few more.

Excellent, inexpensive basic
I've been really surprised by the quality of these tanks. I bought two, and I'm super pleased with them. I own several by various designer "stars", and several other by a lingerie catalog company, and I'd say these compare very nicely, not as thick and springy like those, but ample stretch, softness and they seem durable enough.. The best difference is that these come in tall sizes. I'm not particularly tall at nearly 5'8", nor am I super thin at 140 lbs, but I am busty (33D), and was concerned a size Small Tall would be too narrow for me, but I looked at the size guide and it seemed to be right. In fact, they fit great, and having a very long torso, I like how these tanks come down to my hip and cover my bum. The look is exactly what I wanted, and the price is great. I will be a repeat buyer.

Perfect for Long Torso
I am 5'7, 125 l.bs, and have long torso, so I buy size small and really appreciate the length of these tanks. So many tees and tanks are too short, and jeans are cut low leaving my midriff to bare. That style was fun 10 years ago, but I can't pull off a bare midriff pushing a stroller! They fit wonderfully. They wash wonderfully. I bought a few at regular price and a few more when they were on sale. Love all the colors. One word of warning, the active blue is royal blue, NOT the periwinkle color they display on the model. Other than that, highly recommended!

Lifestyle staple.
When Old Navy began having quality issue with their tanks, I "upgraded" to Gap and never looked back. These just can't be beat. With small/medium measurements everywhere but a 36D bust, finding tanks that fit my body but don't become sheer due to stretching can be a challenge. These tanks meet my needs, with a small exception that they can sometimes be a tiny bit off in cut, exposing the edge of my bra strap (Nothing a little clothing tape can't fix). While packing for a long term trip abroad, I realized halfway through packing that a fair chunk of my wardrobe consists of these thanks, combined with blazers.

Perfect Tanks
Gap has something going on with their ... tops. I am bummed that something without sleeves has to cost so much money. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find tanks that fit the way Gap's tanks do. I were these underneath all of my shirts. I am tall and they are long enough that they show underneath my shirt to add a pop of color.

Great!!
The tanks are super great. First off, I am a plus size 16-18 with a 42DD chest size about 5'4". I was so unsure of the sizing, but remembered that sometimes GAP runs large, so I went with the XLT ... ensure it was long). The tanks should be called long and lean, cause that it exactly what they are. The ... does not fit true to size, in many other brands, I would have to get XXL. I ordered one ... XXL and it was just way too big - not flattering at all. The XL tanks fit perfectly..look sexy on and are just amazing. I am wearing the coral color right now at work. I tucked it in some light brown high waisted trouser slacks, with a beaded long necklace, nice wedges and a short shrug and i got lots of compliments. The tanks go with everything. I will def order the other colors while they are on sale. The tanks are wonderful... BTW: they really flatter a full breast..my hubby looked at me with a devilish grin when he saw me with one on...for that alone, I am ordering more! Good luck!

Expected a more comfortable fit...
Most of the 95% cotton tanks I've bought from Gap always fit as comfortably as the 100% cotton tanks. This particular batch of tanks is a bit snug for a Petite Medium because of the spandex. I'm hoping that with some stretching (and not placing it in the dryer) that these tanks will be just as loose as the 100% cotton tanks.
