favorite ... my favorite ...
I have worn the Favorite ... years, and it is the ... measure all other Ts against. I feel like it is noticeably longer than I was expecting, but I don't find that problematic--indeed, I like it. I have a larger bust, which means that many of my Ts pull up in the front, occasionally exposing my tummy. This ... long enough that I don't have to worry about tummy exposure.

A Classic
Love these tees. Love that GAP offers them in women's tall sizes. love the length. Love the soft 100% cotton fabric.

Best ... out there right now
I always like to have basic black short and long sleeve T's. I used to spend extra for the Banana R. version, but now they are horrible. So I was excited to find that Gap's versions are fantastic, and the price is incredible, usually half of the BR price when on sale. The cut is nice, the fabric is really nice and soft, just the right thickness, and these ... hold up really well wash after wash. The length is a bit longer than in the past, but for awhile there everyone's ... too short (as was the style a few years ago). The length now is on the long side, but it's still OK. The sleeve length in the long sleeve ... nice and long (I usually had issues in the past with too short sleeves). I love this ... hope ... doesn't change anything. I'm 5'7", 140 lbs, and the medium was perfect.

An old standby still hold true!
This has been my ... choice for many years. I order the tall size because of the extra body and sleeve length. I am 5'8" and order size xl so it will be loose and also take into account wash shrinkage. It shrinks a little. Material is the legacy ... thicker cotton. I have it in several colors and reorder the white & grey each year and repurpose the old ones as sleep ... go with my ... sleep shorts/pants. My review is for the navy. It is a deep navy that will go with black. It is not nautical navy. The black sometimes fades, so ... please add a little poly to reduce 100% cotton fading. Otherwise, the best ... market b/c I can order a tall and the price is right.

Best Tee
I've been on a search for a great fitted white tee that I can wear under my button up ... work for awhile now. Women's button ups are much more fitted than men's and since I sweat more than the average person, I often get sweat stains on the button up. I decided I needed to start wearing fitted tees under my button ups instead of fitted tank tops to help prevent the wetness from coming through and the nasty yellow sweat stains from ruining my expensive button ups. All the fitted white tees before this were too thin and the sleeves didn't fully cover my underarms. This tee however is thick, but not too thick. Just a nice quality cotton you would expect in a tee ... sleeves are also perfect in length. No more sweat stains and ruining my button up ... found out they carried these favorite tees in petite online so now I'm about to buy 8 more, not just for buttons ups. The different neck lines, sleeve lengths, and colors makes these favorite tees extremely versatile. LOVE!!

Size Up
I usually wear an xsmall but in this ... needed a small. Unfortunately when I returned it the small was out of stock so I was definitely disappointed. I like this ... because it's longer which is perfect with jeans that are low cut. Overall I would buy this ... again if they had it available in a small.

It''s Fine
I bought this ... 4 basic colors: white, black, gray, and brown. The ... fits fine, but it's too long in the waist and the sleeves are a bit short. The ... has obviously had a redesign since the days when these fit...well, to a ... (circa 2005) and there was a much better color selection. Still, I will come back to the ... basics and foundations, because that's what they're good at.

I am disappointed in the quality and fit :(
I have bought the GAP favorite ... years -- usually in white. The quality and fit have gone way downhill which is such a disappointment. I bought several of these ... 3 months ago. They shrunk in the wash -- just the wash as I hang dry all of my ... wash in the gentle cycle using a gentle detergent. I tried the Medium tall and it was a better fit after the wash, but still not great. Gap used a thin material -- very differnt from the quality used in years past. I'm an avid ... shopper for my entire family and I hope that the quality improves. I love the crew neck on this ... -- has a sewn border.

favorite ...
Got the ... ordered in 5 different colors. 3 of the 5 favorites were labeled as Essential. Called and they said to return them and they sent 3 different ones of which again were labeled Essential. Got a call back after frustration and the lady said that they are now calling the Favorite ... Essential ... have the right ones. How exhausting! I now have an unknown assortment of ... am not happy with the heavy weight and the very large armholes.

Favorite T Shirt
Finally a t shirt made of substance that fits great. Lately Gap has been making thin, flimsy t shirts that after one washing do not hold their shape and honestly can't be worn again. So this t shirt is a wonderful surprise. It not only fits great but the fabric is perfect and it holds up after washing. Gap needs to design more of these fabric t shirts and bring them out in a full range of colors because the are a classic staple that doesn't go out of style. With the economy we are in right now we need more clothes designed that can last longer, remain in style and hopefully retain a price point that is affordable for everyone.

Comfy ...
Super soft and great fitting ... Want them in every color. I have bought this ... before and it definetely will keep buying it as it is so comfy.

This is the best ... shirt I have ever owned. Comfortable yet classic. The length is perfect not too short as most T's are for me. I can wear it under a suit or with jeans. It is very versatile and easy to wear. It will be my ... choice for the future.

This ... holds its shape; fits perfectly and I wear it for work, for play, for working out, it is the All occasion tea. Dressing it up or dressing it down it does not matter. The high quality of material is why I buy this ... not any other one from any other store. I beg GAP to never eliminate this product from their line!

Great T Shirt
Gap's T shirts are the best out there right now. Whether it's the crew neck ... V neck, short or long sleeve, these are great layering items and look super on their own as well, a staple for every wardrobe. The quality of the knit is the best I've found, really nice and soft, and the price is incredible...especially if you can get them on sale, which appears to happen frequently. They wash wonderfully, don't appear to shrink much, if at all, and the sizing is pretty true. I'm a very satisfied buyer and have bought quite a few of these lately.

Cute ... shirt
Decent cut, decent price. Not see through so easy to run errands in. Only down side is, recently I find most tshirts are made with cheap fabric, so after a few washes the color fades, and they have to be thrown out. I can't find ... shirts that can last me thru one season. So I buy a bunch on sale till they wear out.

Nice ... shirt.
I like the Gap ... shirts and this is the first time I ordered the v neck. I like how the cut of the neck doesn't show off all your goodies seems like every v neck shirt I have seen lately is way too low cut and requires a tank or cami underneath. These would look cute with a cami, but they are thick enough and not so low cut that you would absolutely have to have one. I like it!

I have worn Gap ... shirts for a very long time. At 5' 10" I really appreciate being able to buy tall sizes. But, lately the length and sometimes the style of the sleeve is just not right. The sleeve is disproportionate to the rest of the shirt. In the description of what your tall sizes offer it says "longer sleeves". And I am just not finding that to be true, sadly. I will have to return the ones that I bought online.

Love it!
This is a perfect, flattering ... like to wear mine with a cami under it, although you don't need to. I will say that I'm not sure what happened with GAP sizing. For years I have been a S but now I'm an XS - and I haven't lost a pound. Great versatile ... though.

Great scoop neck ...
I have every color of these ... shirts. They fit great and look good under sweaters as an alternative to tanks and camis. I like that they come in petite so the length is perfect. They don't stretch out during the day either. I wish they came in more colors though.

Called "Favorite" for a good reason....
I bought one of these (V neck version) in 2007. It hasn't faded, and is still in great shape, even though I wear it at least once a week! I love this shirt so much that I recently bought six more, in charcoal and black. The thickness of the fabric seems the same as my old '07 one, and I think it is perfect. When I slip one on, I get this feeling like ahhhh, total comfort! The fit is great, long enough so you don't tug on it, and fitted to show a woman's curves. One of my shirts seems to have a sleeve that is shorter than the other, but it's probably not noticeable to anyone but me. I am a musician. Eight times out of ten, I wear this shirt on stage, because of the look, and the comfort. It's my absolute FAVORITE ... Makes me want to burn all my other shirts, but I guess I'll resist....

best basic tee
I love this ... shirt. It's soft and has a substantial weight,and it's cut to fit a women's curves. The scoop neck is low, but not too low. I have it in every basic color. I wish Gap would add a few fashion colors every season. It's a basic that I wear all year round.

Love this ...
This shirt is by far my favorite summer ... fabric is nice and thick. The scoopneck is flattering but not too low. It does run a little big but I really don't like tight shirts anyway. I hope next year they have more colors, I would buy them all!

my most favorite ...
I love this ... shirt...it is a little longer but thats what i love about it. The feel is very soft and is extremely slimming. I have both white and black and would love to have one in every color of the rainbow. It is my most favorite ... ever!

Must Haves
You wouldn't think it hard to find a good scoop ... but it is and I have. Versatile neckline that isn't revealing. I own this ... several colors. Longer length (even on me, 5'9") is ideal! Only complaint is that the white is a different material than the others--not sure why, and not bad, but unexpected. White is thick enough to be worn alone casually. Wash up well--no pilling so far.

I love these quality 100% cotton ... shirts. They are not so sheer that bra lines or bludges protrude but they are fitted enough to accent your curves. They wash beautifully without significant shrinkage in length or overall size. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is because they come in SO FEW colors. More colors PLEASE!!

Nice basic white ...
I ordered white and this is a nice plain ... most likely layer underneath sweaters and button down shirts. I haven't worn it since I washed it the first time, but it was a little longer than I would have liked it to be. I'm hoping a spin in the washer and dryer may have shrunk the length a bit.

I miss the "Favorite" scoopneck ...
The "Favorite" ... ( discontinued) was so much nicer than this "Essential" ... fit was better, the fabric had a nice "snap" to it that helped it keep its shape and so it looked flattering and smooth under a jacket. The sleeves on the "Essential" are a little too long, and a little too loose. Putting the two shirts side by side shows the "Favorite" as a higher quality cotton ... Sorry to see it go, and hope it comes back - it was my wardrobe staple!

Used to be so great...
The gap Favorite shirts used to be my go to for casual tees. It was one of the few places that you could still get white ... shirts that didn't require extra layers underneath. Sadly, when I ordered a new batch it is clear that Gap is now using a much cheaper quality fabric, as the white shirts are now almost entirely see through. I am really very disappointed that I now have to go elsewhere to find a white shirt that actually does its job.

Quality is Back, Indeed
I bought the fave ... few months ago at a discounted price...it was alright, but the seams are starting to come apart in a couple of places and it seems to stretch out quickly...I bought two more after noticing the note from Gap asserting that the quality had been improved. Indeed, it has. These last two t's are awesome. I would highly recommend buying the tall size if you have even average length arms or torso, especially if you like a longer (i.e. high hip) length in t's. I'm afraid the regular would have been too short after washing. These are very flattering. I would also say that the sizes themselves run big. I am 3 months postpartum and a L in most tops. The medium fits great on me...not too tight and not too loose.All told, a great ...

LOVE THIS ...
Fits exactly as I want, not too snug, but still a slight fit. I am sold on these T's because I have had terrible luck finding just the right ... just the right fit I want. I am 5'2" so how often do you find a petite ... sleeves are just the right length, no hemming and the length is good too. It doesnt show your backside. Really really nice ... would buy many of them if I could afford many of them, but I do plan on buying more white, which is a staple.

Everyone ought to have ONE...at least!
These long sleeved tees are the most versatile item ever! Somehow, my black tee was misplaced/tossed/lost, whatever...certainly not by me because it was my fave!! The perfect ... layering, for traveling, for comfy coziness, for casual wear, for under a blazer, a sweater, aloneI I was upset and thought, they'll never have these again...I bought them too long ago, years ago...stores always change their inventories....I really imagined the worst. But, with fingers crossed I went online and searched for long sleeved tees and there, at the end of the list: Favorite Long Sleeved ... so thrilled that The Gap was one of those stores that kept a good thing going! So, I bought one in every color available in my size and one color that was a ... size, just in case. Thank you for keeping it real, keeping it basic, keeping it versatile! My closet and I are happy once again!

AMAZING!
I've been looking for long sleeve ... shirts for a while, and I was afraid to buy these online without trying them on. I'm SOO happy I did! It's not easy to find a basic long sleeve ... shirt, but these are perfect for fall and winter. Unlike others I've come across, these are nice and thick. They feel like they will hold their shape through out the up coming season. I'm 5 ft and 135, the small fit me pefectly. I wish they had more colors besides the basics BUT i'm stocking up on more!

This makes about the 5th or 6th ... have bought in this style. I absolutley love each of them. They are soooo comfortable to wear and go great with jeans or casual wear. I got each of them on sale but even if I hadn't, I would have still bought them. I wear this navy blue one with a skirt, boots, and my blue jean jacket. Looks really good together. Great basic
This ... very soft and the perfect fit and length. The material is a nice weight too, not too thin and not too thick. The grapeade color is the best purple I've seen in years on a ... hope they offer more pieces, like a short sleeve basic ... color. One note on tall sizing, I seem to wear a M tall in Gap and a S tall in Old Navy. Not sure why sizing is different but the shoulders seem not wide enough on the Gap S Talls. This ... fitted enough that the waist doesn't seem to large on a M however.

Pointers for Tall Fit
So glad I finally tried out these Gap tall favorite shirts! It took two tries to get the right size, but I can live with that. The return/exchange was totally hassle free. The price had gone down during the process, and Gap even honored that! The quality of the shirt was way better than I expected; not tissue thin like everything seems to be these days. Soft, comfy cotton of a perfect weight. If you're a tall woman like me, not sure what size to order, know this: if you have broad shoulders or are busty...go bigger! I read someone else's review that said they are cut for Olive Oil and I agree! :) I am 5'11", about 165 lbs, typically a size 12, and fairly busty (D cup). The XL was a perfect fit. Thus, if you are a plus size, you probably can't (or shouldn't) wear these shirts comfortably. Sleeves are very generous as is the torso length...both shrink with washing but not too much (length after washing is perfect for me...my height is in my legs more than my torso). All in all, I am thrilled to find a inexpensive long sleeve ... shirt that is comfy and- most of all- FITS! My "favorite ... now, too!

Favorite long sleeved ...
I haven't bought shirts from Gap for years and our local store has closed so when I saw the ... shirts on sale online and read reviews I ordered the gray and brown in Petite Small. I am 5'1 and 104 lbs., around a 34B. With other brand T's sleeves and length are too long, the they're too snug, and the material is too stretchy. I was prepared for the same. The shirt seemed tight in the sleeves and a little snug overall but after I wore it awhile it relaxed to a perfect fit. It is around hip length which is where I like it. I wore the gray with an inifinity scarf that is navy with silver sparkles. It actually looked dressy with my dark jeans. It's not too tight in the bust so I can wear it alone if I like and feel comfortable. The brown is a deep chocolate and fits equally well. So I ordered the navy and white, the only colors left in PS. The navy is great. I have washed the gray and brown shirts and dried them on tumble medium heat ant they came out great. I have yet to wash the navy and white but assume they will be fine too. I agree with another reviewer that the white is way too thin. I can see my skin through it. Definitely can't wear it alone. It is strictly for layering. I was disappointed because white is such a versatile year round item and especially nice in the spring. Come on GAP, please give us a white ... heavier cotton. That's the only reason I rated the Favorite ... 4.

Nice ...
This is a nice ... shirt for the (inexpensive) price. Fits well, & true to size. I wear an XS, & must say that Gap has finally made a ... shirt that really is XS - no longer baggy or saggy in the waist or arms. Now if they would upgrade the fabric, so it holds up better to repeated washing/wearing... But all in all, a fine purchase!

Ordered this ... having been disappointed by other related brand's flimsy T's. So glad I did! It has a great amount of stretch that doesn't wear out over the day. I am a nursing mom, so my ... get stretched alot over the course of a day and this one held up all day! The V neck isn't too low, but just low enough and the fit is great (5'1", 120lbs, ordered XS). got it in tarnished teal and I love the color! Will have to go back and get more!

Pretty sweet ... yo
... size is one size smaller than expected. If you order one size larger it will fit perfectly. The ... has spandex in that keeps the shape of the ... no matter what you do in it. Sleep in it, work out in it etc...Exactly what I was looking for. Pure cotton ... never keep their shape, this one does.

this perfect v neck is made with a thin fabric which moves with your body & is very flattering. I am 110lb & a 34C who normally wears an xs in other t's from ... purchased a small in this ... which is still on the tight side, but after about an hour of wear, it fits perfectly. thanks again ...

Wish they had more colors
I love these ... bought them in all the colors they offered - I wish they offered more colors. Most of GAP's other ... now made with rayon or polyester and I hate them - especially the rayon because once you wash it it's ruined - I don't care what the wash instructions say it will never be the same once you wash it. These ... 100% cotton. They are a bit tight so I did order a large instead of my normal medium. The lenght is good and they wash great! Please make in more colors!!

Very nice material
I wanted an alternative to a regular cotton ... fit the bill. the material is dressy enough that you can wear to work or w/ jeans or shorts. I would highly recommend them. Also, the colors are more muted. This is more of a personal preference. I think if you bought them you would be satisfied.

Great Fitting ...
I LOVE this Pure Body V neck ... all my daughter wears, now she has got me hooked too!! The black is the most flattering, as I have a full bust and cannot be considered slim be any means. I bought the XL, usually take a Large, so you might want to consider sizing up if you do not like tight form fitting shirts.It is still form fitting and figure flattering in the XL. I love the feel of this fabric and they wash beautifully. These have become my favorite tops and I reach for them all the time!! Get one and try it out, you will not be disappointed.

Super Sexy ...
I bought this online and it was so soft. I am a girl true to an XL ... since gaining a few pounds and I have a longer torso at 5' 9' and this fit like a glove. It really made me look slim through my bust and waist. I had a lot of compliements. I could wear this under a blazer. I could wear this with lounge pants, dress pants or jeans. It is really a nice ... can dress it up or down. Makes me feel sexy. Thanks ...

Better than expected!
Based on other reviews I ordered both small and medium and was glad I did - the medium is great but the small was too tight around the midsection. (and I'm usually a ... small) I bought for sleeping but I'm actually going to use it as a regular ... - it's not as thin as I thought and the color (bright blue) is quite nice. Great basic ...

Love This ...
I LOVE GAP Pure Body Shirts. This ... definitely form fitting so not very forgiving if you have a few extra pounds. I'm tall and thin with moderate curves (5'10", ... size - "S"), so I like fitted shirts which accentuate my waist. This ... fits the bill. I wish there were more "fun" colors left because I would definitely purchase them all! I find Pure Body to be my go to shirts that I know I'll be comfortable in and look great.

Very Impressed
I love all Gap products, but the Pure Body ... Shirts are the greastest..I love that they are true to size..Length is perfect to wear alone or layered..Keeps it shape wash after wash...I own every color in both the short sleeve (for the warmer weather) and the Longe sleeves (for the cooler weather)...Best ... ever bought...

LOVE the ...
I originally bought a black, gray and a white ... recently purchased another black and the fog color. Would buy in every color if there were more options! The white is a little see through though. The shirts are nice and long and oh so flattering. I wear them with suits, jeans, shorts, pants.................very versatile. No ironing required. Even if they come out a little wrinkled, once you put them on, you can no longer see them. Shirts are form fitting! Highly recommended.

Love these ...
These are my favorite ... They are super functional....to work with scrubs pants, with jeans, shorts, yoga pants...whatever you feel like. I used to buy a very similar ... Gap Outlet. However they no longer sell them in long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve. I searched Gap high and low. An agent recommended these ... because they no longer made them and this was the closest replacement for my OLD ... LOVE them...Just know that they are super soft but....go up a size when ordering because they are more on the tighter side and they are super sheer. I wear a GAP cami underneath and it is fine. They are great for layering...Gap...please bring more colors....

Great ... but runs a little small
I bought these shirts in 4 different colors in maternity when I was pregnant last year and got the regular ones this year because I loved them so much! I wish I would have gotten a size medium though because I'm 5'11" and I would like for it to be a little longer, but overall they are wonderful shirts.

Soft cotton feel & great fit. Doesn't lose it's shape halfway thru the day & surprisingly comfortable despite it being form fitting. The v neck is really flattering and give a little flare to an everyday ... Worth getting in every color!

Too short in length, sleeves too tight.
I thought this ... made out of Modal when I purchased. It is a plain ... tight sleeves and the length is on the shorter side. Nothing special.

I had been searching for replacements for my long sleeved stretch ... shirts from Old Navy that were 5 years old! I was so glad to find these. They are cut long which I really like. I am 5'7 135 lbs with a long torso and long arms. Medium fits me nicely. I wear a cami under, because they are sheer and I can stay warmer. My wish is for more colors!

Super comfy and fits well
Love this ... - I got every color! I usually wear a small, and this one fits nicely, although I did get a medium in one color to have a bit of variety in fit. This is a fairly form fitting ... so if you are wanting a little give, I'd go up a size.

I Heart This Shirt!
This is a perfect ... shirt, especially for layering. The white is a tad see through, but not tissue thin. The shirts are great to wear alone, or underneath sweaters. They are very fitted, so if you don't want any bulge showing it shouldn't be worn alone. I have ordered this shirt in two more colors because I love it so much!

Pure Body Perfect
Love the Pure Body long sleeve ... perfect for layering or on its own and fits to a ... Each season, I add a few new colors - they certainly hold up, and keep their shape! I'm thinking I'll try other styles as well. Don't change a thing about this line GAP - it's Pure and simple!

Nice basic
This is a nice, flattering basic ... material is very thin so it makes a nice under layer but I do not expect it to last a long time.

A Little Too Sheer
5'3", 32D, 117#. I got both the XS and S, and both are pretty sheer. I don't mind, though, because I use this ... first Layer under another ... jacket and/or with a colored workout bra. The sleeves are a little longer than need be, especially for the smaller fit of the body. I still prefer the cotton/modal or 100% cotton Ts from Gap, my very favorite. The colors are beautiful in this fabric, and it washes great.

Good Fit!
Great ... wear alone or layer. I wear a small to medium in Gap t's. I needed a medium in this one. I got a black and grey. Good stretch ...

Great for layering
I live in these ... shirts all winter long. They are thin and that makes them great for layering. The length is long as well. They run small so I order a size bigger. My only complaint is that when washed the seams turn. Gap, I would be willing to spend a few more dollars on these if the quality was better.

Light weight and versatile
Love the Pure Body long sleeved ... It's light weight and comfortable so it's good for summer and good for layering in winter. Definitely form fitting so order size up if you don't want it too tight. I love the length of this ... only negative...it needs to come in MORE colors!!

I like it!
Not a client of Gap, but I was looking for stretch long sleeve ... shirts for my overseas trip. I'm glad I found them @ Gap.com and I'm very happy with my purchase.
