Great fitting true ... jean & I love the dark wash!
I saw these ... noted in a magazine article as being a great ... jean and they didn't disappoint me! I like the dark wash because it's slimming and nicer if I want to wear them at night. They fit well and are just the right amount of a straighter leg without being so tight that they're more like leggings - just a classic well fitting ... leg jean. And the price is reasonable too.

Awesome straight legs!
I'm genuinely impressed with these ... photo the model's pose makes it look like the ... would be really tight (might want to re shoot that one because she looks seriously uncomfortable) and the denim rigid. But I gave them a chance and I'm really glad I did! They fit true to size, and ... leg is an actual ... leg (not like some of Gap's previous efforts where it's a little more on the skinny side). The denim is not as obviously stretchy and has a little texture, and the wash is deep and saturated. Even the lower rise doesn't compromise how comfortable it is. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm definitely sold on the Real Straights.

I''ve been looking for these ... long time
I have these ... right now and they are JUST the type of ... leg ... I've been waiting for. I wear a lot of boot cut, but wanted some ... legged ... don't make me feel like I'm pegging my ... 80s and don't look like jeggings (also from the 80s). These are just right.

Perfect ...
Love, Love, Love these ... have been searching for straight leg ... all winter. I have gone to boutiques and spent over $100 on ... just to take them back. These are the first pair of straight leg ... found that don't make me look like I am trying to be a teenager. Great color, perfect fit and very comfortable.

Best ... I''ve found in a while...
Wow, I am very impressed by these ... am a plus sized woman who has been wearing the stretch ... sag and stretch out after about 30 minutes of wear. I also had a tough time finding ... because of my shape. I tend to have a bigger belly and am ... through the hips and rear. I feel like my ... were made for me. They are a great wash (I was surprised by the whiskering in the front, but it looks good). They do not stretch out. They almost lift my rump and makes it look quite a bit better! And it stays that way all day. I ordered mine true to size. These are a true ... leg. I ordered a long and I'm 5'9". My ... too long, but the regulars are 4" shorter and that would be too short. I'm going to have to get them altered or only wear them with heels. But trust me it's worth it. I feel very confident when I wear these ... which is saying something! I would highly recommend them!

Surprised..In a great way!
This is my first pair of ... leg jeans...I typically wear the gap curvy ... 2L....I shopped the day after-Xmas sale and got these for a steal...I loved the color but didn't bother trying them on until after I got home. Surprise surprise...they fit great. Typically ... leg ... do nothing to flatter my hips or thighs...these however a quite soft (bought them in a gray which is not featured here), a nice heavy denim, and very flattering. I would definitely recommend them. For reference, I'm 5'8" and 148lbs and a 2R is actually a little long (I imagine they will shrink up a bit in the wash)...they are snug but not overly so. Love em'!

Pretty good
Overall, I like these ... really like straight leg ... my petite pear shaped frame....I'm an at home mom so am in flats for day to day activities and bootcut make me look shorter and squat....and skinny leg accentuates my pear shape. Straight leg ... seem to be the most flattering cut for me and they are hard to find. I am 5'3", 26 waist/35 hip and ordered a 2P and a 2A. The 2P fit me the best - they are a little smaller in the hip and leg than the 2A and the rear pockets were smaller on the 2P (the rear pockets on the 2A were completely overwhelming on me). The length was the same on both. So for those of you that don't like the large pockets.....if you are 5'4" or under, try the petite. The one thing I would prefer in these ... countoured waistband - the front rise is fine for me but would love it if the back came up higher so I wouldn't HAVE to wear a belt. With this style, I have to wear a belt because there is a slight gap at the back and when I squat down (which I do frequently with two toddlers), I will expose more than I want to. If they had a higher rise in the back, they'd be 5 stars! It would also be nice for more washes....I tried the Mitchum wash, too, but the rise is MUCH lower on that one for whatever reason so will not keep that pair.

I''ll keep ''em but...
When they say real straight, they mean real straight! I originally bought these in a 6XL but they looked too 'painted on' to wear to work. The 8XL is just fine, a slight bit roomier but nonetheless still 'real straight'. I only buy Gap ... because of their extended lengths -- I have a 35" inseam and finding any of the designer ... XL inseam where I could wear 3" heels takes more time than I'm willing to devote. My only caveat with these ... it's not completely clear from the photo how whiskered and faded these ... real life. I am a bit disappointed at how 'fake' it looks. But, I'll keep 'em anyway.

I had high hopes but these were not a good fit.
I have been looking for a jean with a straight leg opening and thought these would be perfect. (The skinny ... just aren't flattering with most shoes and the bootcuts are too flared for my taste). The biggest problem for me is that this jean is straight the whole way up the leg. Not good for a pear like me who's widest point is at the tops of my thighs. This makes them too tight right at the top of my thighs and the ... then have a weird pucker right at mid thigh where they aren't too tight anymore. This is not flattering or comfortable. Also, the dark wash ... really rough. I can't wait to take them off at the end of the day. The only good things about these ... they have the perfect rise, they don't gap in the back or stretch out in the waist and the leg opening at the bottom is perfect. I wish they made a hybrid between this jean and their curvy jean!

I wanted to love them
Although the hips, rear and waist of these ... fit great and are very flattering, the thigh is cut a little loose to begin with. But once you've worn the ... hour, the thin fabric begins to stretch ( A LOT) and by the end of the day, the thighs and knees are completely baggy and puffy. I personally don't know anyone who strives to have puffy looking knees. I wear a size zero, and by the end of the day, it looks like I have thighs and knees two sizes larger. I had bought three pairs of the real ... corduroy ... back in the fall and in addition to the leg being cut slimmer to begin with, the fabric is far more substantial than the denim and is able to maintain its shape for more than one wearing. I wish that Gap could make the real ... jean in a better quality denim so that I could love these ... much as I love the cords. I have bought Gap ... years and have always been happy with them. But now I'm going to have to look elsewhere until Gap improves the quality of the denim they use.

Not a good jean!
Ugh, gap used to have the best straight leg ... those of us who wanted to have a nice pair of straight leg but were over a size 12. Yuck this pant is awful. Not enough stretch and it is so uncomfortable.I am so disappointed. I bought a great pair of straight leg ... them in 2009 and they had the perfect amount of stretch and they made you look ten pounds thinner! They have gone and changed the design and this is awful.
