Great shorts
Love these shorts. Nice fabric and texture, neat seams. The beige ish color I bought is darker in real life than I expected based on the pictures online, but it's still nice and highly versatile (i.e., I can wear these shorts with a variety of different colors and styles of tops). I am a thin, relatively straight (as opposed to curvy) size 0/0P, and the 0P fits me very nicely and flatters my lean figure.

Perfect Pair of Shorts
Recently, I purchased these for my mother, my sister, and me. My mom is 5'2", 120 lbs, mid-50s, and pear shaped/bottom heavy, and she fit the regular size 4. My sister is 4'10", 100 lbs, early 30s, and an hourglass/slender figure, and she fit the size 2P. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs, early 30s, and an hourglass/slender figure, and I fit the size 0P. Those are our normal Gap sizes, too. We are all in love with these shorts! The fit is slenderizing, not just boxy bermudas, with seams down the front and back, not just the sides. Hidden pockets fall on the seams. The length is perfect and a much more modest style for those of us 30+ who don't necessarily feel comfortable wearing 3" inseams out anymore, but they aren't stuffy "mom shorts" by any stretch. The fabric is also a texturized cotton, actually very nice. Fit, fabric, and style are fantastic - and at these prices?! I bought all colors available for all of us, and I keep checking and considering buying more when/if they become available. You can't go wrong with these!

Great shorts but size down
These are great shorts - their name says it all - clean front! Very nice lines, the length is perfect (I find some bermudas too long and I am 5'8"). The biggest problem is that these shorts are HUGE! I originally ordered a 6 (again, I am 5'8" and 135 lbs - and I've got a booty) and then sized down to 4 because the 6 were swimming on me. I got the 4 and there is still space, so I have ordered a size 2. We'll see if those work, but I'm keeping the 4's just in case - the shorts are that great looking. So, invest, but be prepared to return! One other annoying little detail - in the three times that I've ordered these shorts (in a 3 week period) the price has varied from [$] on sale, to [$] on sale, to [$] on sale. I get that things go on sale, but could GAP avoid all the up and down? It makes for a rather unhappy customer....

nice casual ...
I really like these ... They seem to wrinkle easy. But it's not really that bad of wrinkles. I love the way they fit and feel. I am 5 foot 2. I weigh in at around 130 pounds. I bought the size 6. I think that they look nice. Plus I wanted ... cover some of my thighs. I am a mother and I dont wear short ... any more!!!! So this pair is exactly what I was looking for and wanted to wear!

Nice shorts - order one size smaller, though
I really like these ... Very comfortable, and a nice style. It doesn't come off too clearly in the picture, but there are seams that run off to the side of the back of the ... really like the cut, very clean style. I usually wear a 12 for Gap ... but I ordered a 10, and it fits perfectly. As other reviewers have mentioned, these ... many other Gap ... season) run a little big. I am 5' 6", but I ordered the Long-10 because I prefer the in seam to be a little bit longer. With that, it falls an inch or so above my knees.

A very nice compromise
I abhor most shorts because they ride up my inner thigh and look/feel uncomfortable. And capri pants make me look like I don't know how to properly do laundry and shrunk everything. These shorts are a great compromise between the two: The perfect length for comfort and coverage, yet cute enough to be flattering. Plus, they're very soft and the waist sits at a really great height -- not too low as to encourage "muffin tops," but not too high as to be constrictive when you sit. My only complaint is that the pockets are pretty much useless, being placed so far toward the front zipper.

Curvy girl thinks these run true to size!
I did order a size down based on previous reviews (in one color only). I will return them as they are too tight in the thighs. I wear a size 10, and I'm 5'4", and find that these due run true to size, and do stretch out a little bit. However, the size 8 was just too tight to look good. There are no belt loops, but I don't find that these shorts stretch out so much that they need to be held up by a belt. The fabric is thick enough too so that they don't look sloppy when they do "give" after wearing for a few hours. I find that these shorts will hold the test of time, and am very excited about them!

good and bad
Based on other reviews, I ordered 2 different colors in a size smaller than I usually wear in Gap pants. The tan fit great and I really like them. The seams add an interesting detail not usually found in shorts. The fabric is also heavier and will not wrinkle as much as you wear them. I will wear them alot. The black shorts seem to be about a half size smaller and do not fit. I ordered the same exact shorts just in different colors. There is no size uniformity so you may need to order a whole bunch in the same size and pick the ones that fit. Not being able to return them to the store is kind of a hassle too.

Should have listened to others'' advice
While I really liked the fabric and color of these ... they were VERY short especially when described as bermuda ... Also they must run extremely big because I ordered the 0 and the 00, and the 00 fit best. I would normally wear a 2. Unfortunately I am returning them bec/I won't wear them that short.

too loose, strange pocket placement
(1) Just like last year's style, the waist is way too big...Doesn't the Gap pay attention to these reviews? And there's no belt loops so there's no way to keep them from falling off. The size chart is so wrong, it's a joke. To get the right fit, go a size smaller and then add length (e.g. I'm usually a 10, but would order size 8 long) (2) if they had been styled like last year's I would have ordered a smaller size , but this year they moved the side seams and pocket toward the front--very awkward and strange looking! Too bad--I was really looking forward to getting these shorts again this year.

Overall, not a fan
These shorts weren't my favorite. They were overall too big and generally unflattering. I'm 5'5" / 125 lbs and I do have a shorter inseam (30 1/2") so that may have effected the look. They certainly look fine on the model in the picture, but on me seemed a little too long on the leg and too much fabric overall. I would have liked a slimmer fit and think that would have been more flattering. Sadly, these were sent back to the store.
