Truly Straight ...
I love these ... so much that I've bought 6 pairs of them! I find it so hard to find ... truly straight. ... these days tend to be either too skinny or too wide. These are perfect. They appear to be very well made and I love the material. This is one of the first reviews I have ever written but I want to encourage Gap to continue to offer these ... maybe even to offer them in other colors, like navy, gray, cream. I would buy all of them. I have taken these ... my tailor and asked them to alter some of my other ... wider legs to match the legs of these ...

Excellent ...
I needed some washable ... work. I got both the grey and the black. I like the thick cotton/lycra fabric. These look attractive on. They're working well for ... work.

Great work ...
These ... GREAT! Quality is terrific, and the fit is just right.I am 148 lbs. 5'11' - the 8 tall fits perfectly. Cotton, so great for summer or warm weather, yet they look refined enough for work. awesome!

Love these
I cant stand slacks because of the cheap polyester fabric. I absolutely love these ... cotton fabric feels so nice and is great quality. The straight leg makes the style flattering and not cheap looking like bootcuts that are so wide at bottom they look like bell bottoms. I felt really thin in these!

Inconsistent Sizing
First, I LOVE these ... wear well, wash well; although I have air dryed and not used the electric dryer so I can't attest to whether or not the ... shrink. The ... have a slimming silhouette and I love the fact that the waist sits below the natural waistline, but not too low. I am 5'4" and purchased ankle length, which is actually below the ankle on me, but the perfect length to wear with flats or heels. The ... versatile and can be dressed up or down. The first pair of ... were purchased in the store and fit perfectly in my size. I wanted a second pair and ordered the same size online; however, the sizing is inconsistent and I was unable to zip them, so the ... need to be returned. I hope to be able to purchase another pair that fits in the store.

Petite 00 Black
These are a thick stretch cotton fabric. They're not thin. The black is a true black that does show lint, but imo ALL dark fabrics show it. The petite 00 is very low waisted. The ... fit exactly, but they're really long ( I am 103 lbs. 5'2 height) so I will have to wear these ... shows that a have a heel.

Decent pants, some flaws
I have these ... 8A (I am 5'5", 140 lbs) in two colors and they fit well, though if you have curvy hips, you may want to go a size up -- it's true that these ... like many Gap ... spandex/cotton blends, stretch out after a few wears. However, my black pair's' seam ripped right down the back when I was just sitting in a chair! I may not be super skinny, but I've never had that happen with a pair of ... -- very disappointing. I'll keep the other pair, but I'll always be nervous about the quality of the stitching now.

Truth about True Straight ...
Highly comfortable, but very polyester. The feel reminds me of lower end stores although the high degree of poly stretch makes them very comfortable. Does not hug the hips or rear, so not very sexy. The straight leg is not cigarette thin, but more like a straight leg dress ... would prefer something with a degree of cotton in it so it doesn't feel as plastic.

Different from product in the picture
I received a ... has no pockets as shown in the picture and is a different material from the true straight style ... previously purchased in the store. This ... also ridiculously long at first. Over time and a few washes, the length shrank enough that I can wear it with heels. The material is a very stretchy "cotton" blend that attracts lint horribly and looks a bit cheap. On the other hand, my store purchased true straight is a polyester blend and looks much better. I really wish Gap would include these details in the description and show the right picture with their products. All said, I do get a lot of wear out of these, as they fit nicely and with a lot of lint brushing they look fine. But they are not the elegant work ... thought I was ordering.

quite unflattering
Unlike other reviewers, I found these very ugly. For one thing, the rise is just slightly too high--not a problem in wide leg ... but in ... fitted, that makes the pelvis look weirdly wide somehow. If it does that on my 34-inch hips, I can't imagine what it does to other ... Also, these aren't really straight leg ... They're what other retailers would classify as skinny leg jeans. And finally, the regular length inseam is an inch or two to long (I'm 5'6", so the regular inseam shouldn't be bunching up and dragging too much). The best thing about these ... they're mostly cotton, but in general, Gap's Modern Boot is much more flattering.

Not as described
These ... arrived and I thought they sent the wrong order. The material isn't at all what is described on the website. Did not loke material at all so I have sent these back. Although they fit great i just did not know how much they would stretch out or hold their color once washed. If they would have been made out of woven cotton as described instead of a knit I would have been thrilled.

Perfect Trouser ... perfect
... fantastic. The material is great because it does not wrinkle easily. The ... perfectly and are very slenderizing. I would say ... run a little large. I ordered the 8, but I could ... definitely worn the 6, so you may want to go down a size. And the long are very long. I am 5' 10.5" and I ... wear heels in order to wear ... really like the placement of the front pockets as opposed to side slit pockets - much more flattering. I originally ordered ... charcoal and ... now come back for the black. ... needs more colors in ... please. I ... been buying ... much more expensive from Banana Republic, and ... so much better mostly because of the material and the perfect ... found that most of my Banana Republic ... wrinkle very easily, and the Martin ... little too ... Jackson ... (always way too big in the hips) don't ... me nearly as well as ... slightly ... through the hips, but just enough. Great ...

Perfect Trousers
My favorite black trousers! The material is lighter than last year's gap trousers, but the fit is the same...and I LOVE that ... sit AT the waist, not below, for dressy slacks/trousers. THANK YOU! They are extremely comfy and look great everytime! Please don't stop making ... trousers! And I so miss the Gap Original Boot Cut Jeans....please consider bringing ... back: classy, but not 'mom' jeans...and not stretchy....real, cotton, jeans....can't beat it.

Love the fit
The perfect trouser is truly perfect. The fabric is fantastic, great fall and wrinkle resistant. Excellent ... wear to work, especially if you are relatively active. Avoid the 100% cotton version, because they are not as good. I wish there were more colors.

These ... G R E A T
I love these ... have them in charcoal gray, gray gingham, black, navy blue pinstripe & black/gray pindot. I use them every week to work & they wear very well! My 6-yr old daughter spilled red wine on me while celebrating my 9-yr wedding anniversary and NOTHING happened to the ... didn't wash them right away but they never stained! I must admit that every color I have fits different than the next, but I'm always up & down with weight, so it's fine with me :) I wish Gap offered them in lighter, more Spring like colors too (not in cotton though!). I don't care for cotton ... they never wear well nor do they last long; and you look like a wrinkled mess at the end of the day :) Definitely a staple in my closet!

perfect trouser for work
I love these trousers (speaking specifically of the poly blend, not the cotton blend). They are conservative but flattering. I like the thinner material (neither hot nor bulky). They are unlined but show no panty line or pocket lining. They can be worn in any season. Other reviews remarked that the material was "cheap", but I disagree. These ... not meant for dressy occasions, but are very appropriate for work. I have always tossed mine in the washer and dryer, no need for dry cleaning. No need for ironing, either. They do not wrinkle or stretch out during the day (I am speaking of the poly blend trousers, not the cotton blend, which do unfortunately stretch with wear). They look great with a tucked in work shirt or with untucked shirts/sweaters, belted or not. I would like to see more colors (poly blend in lighter colors, if possible). I am 5' 6.5", around 128lbs, and wear a size 2 in these.

Great work ... flattering
I love these ... now have them in 4 colors. Stay away from the khaki and light grey - they are made of 100% cotton and wrinkle easily (requires ironing). All colors are machine washable, and the dark colors come out looking perfectly, no wrinkles and ready to wear. The are very flattering and versatile. Gives the appearance of long and lean. I am a size 6, 5'8" and ordered the long because I like to wear heels to work. They are perfect for that and don't look short. The only reason I gave these 4 stars is because I have had the same problem of the hem falling out on occassion, as the other reviewers. Not a huge deal, because overall very satisfied. Also great for business trips, because won't wrinkle in suit case!

They actually fit this short, curvy girl!
I'm 5'1" and have a small waist and a big booty.I am curvy in the true sense of the word, not in the euphamism for plus sized kind of way. Yes, I could stand to drop a few, but then ... would simply fit me perfectly in a smaller size. I have a very hard time finding ... fit both my waist and my behind without alterations. ... fit me like a dream! Though I am short, my booty is big enough that I hesitate to buy petite sized ... Instead, I bought the ankle length since the lengths are the same (or close -- can't remember). I usuallly wear a 3" to 3.5" heel with ... so ... won't need to be hemmed -- woohoo! Also, I love that the back pockets aren't functioning pockets. I always have back pockets removed and the openings sewn shut so that I don't have extra bulk on my backside, and ... save me that expense and hassle. Again, ... seem perfect for curvy gals, meaning that your waist is clearly defined and you have a more pronounced backside. If you aren't built this way, I would guess that either the waist will be too tight or the rear too loose. My only issue with ... so far is that the material is a bit cheap feeling, but then again, ... way less expensive than what I would expect to pay for better material.

way too big and overpriced
I ordered these and Old Navy Womens Essential Wide Leg Trousers, and Old Navy wins for style and price. Granted Old Navy was also too big, but once I exchanged for a smaller size, they're great!

Disappointment..
I ... used ... work before from ... using a 14 tall pair from a couple years ago. However, ... old, so I needed new ... ordered 14 tall again thinking I should be fine, as the older pair ... perfectly.The 14 was way too small! I couldn't button them, and ... were a little too low for a rise for me. Even if ... would ... did ... think ... were ... premium at all. The "premium ... were thinner than my workout ... Holding them up to the light, I could see light though the seat of the ... ordering ... again. Which is unfortunate..as a 6'4" girl, it's hard to find ... good quality.

Paging fabric... Paging fabric
I love the silhouette of these ... needed a pair of black ... work the next day so I bought them, but found the fabric to be incredibly thin. You can see through them and they desperately need a lining. I have found a lot of Gap clothes are thin this season and I suspect the rising cost of cotton is cutting into profit margins at most clothing companies. I don't think these will hold up well or last very long. I feel like I have to be careful moving in them or they may rip or tear.

Where is the quality??
... were a size 00. Fell off of me. Well in my closet I have a size 0 gap trouser (from years ago) that fits very snug (not cotton, so there wasn't any shrinking). My older gap trouser's material was also heavier than what is being sold now. I also weigh more now than I did years ago....so why is it that years ago I could buy a size 1 that fit???? I even had some items that were a size 2..now a 00 is too big?? Quit vanity sizing and use better material. I guess I will have to buy[@]. Gap quailty is close to [@]!!
