Love this T shirt!
I have been buying the Gap favorite crewneck T shirts for the last 3 years and I keep coming back for more. I wear them to work under my scrubs and also out with jeans. They can be dressed up or down, they are very versatile. I am a Gap size XS in all clothing, however, for comfort I get these in a size Small (more for length in the body on me). I love how soft the material is. They wash and wear really well. I have no complaints about these T shirts!

My favorite store
I love the GAP!! It is by far my favorite clothing store. In fact, I would say I buy 90 per cent of my clothing there. GAP ... always fit and always look classy. Recently I took three of my grandchildren shopping at Baby Gap. They were thrilled to find wonderful skirts and shirts and pants! People are always commenting on how nice my ... can be sure I tell them where they come from. I am a HUGE FAN of the wonderful GAP stores, where the salespeople are always cheery, polite and attentive. And I have recently discovered the pure joy of shopping on the GAP website!!! I was so excited to find that I could buy a couple of my favorite shirts ONLINE in Navy Blue -- the crew neck Tee and the boatneck Tee. Thank you, GAP. You are wonderful!!!

You won''t know the true size of the shirt until after washing and drying.
I have purchased Gap clothing for years and we all know the quality has been getting worse with each year that passes. Keeping this in mind, I ordered up from my normal size 'LT' to an 'XLT'. I am 5'11, 179 lbs. and almost laughed at the length of the 'XLT' shirt on me. It was like a mini dress on me, with the length going well past my hips; however, after 1 wash in cold water and drying at medium heat, the length came up about 4 inches and the color faded as if I had been wearing the shirt (blue) all season. So, my plan worked. The shirt now fits as it should, but it definately takes some guess work. As for the color fading, this is a first. I have loved this style of shirt for years and REALLY wish they would go back to their prior quality standards.

Style and quality disappointing
I don't understand why T shirts have morphed into flimsy, body hugging, butt covering unflattering pieces of clothing that only an exhibitionist would wear without a second layer. If this is an attempt at fashion, it must be aimed at very skinny teens. I really miss Gap's original T shirts: quality cotton that washed well, kept its shape and wasn't transparent (if white), comfortably loose but not baggy.

What in the Gap is going on here??
This has been a go to staple in my wardrobe for years and years and I know others have spoken up to the poor quality and change of construction of this shirt and they speak the TRUTH. Why isn't GAP listening. Depending on which color you get, you get a different fit as well as softness. The fabric is very see through and thin and pills very easily. What used to be a shirt I would have for years and wash well and maintain it's shape and fit is now barely a seasonal shirt which as you wear it, gets "blousy" and stretches out all over. Very frustrating when you put on one color and it's soft and yet in the same order all the other colors are completely different and scratchy. When are colors going to be expanded? When are you going to bring back a true dark charcoal grey color? The grey posted is lighter than shown and has notoriously stretched out of shape within 3 wears and I'm very gentle with my clothing. It's rather embarassing when others ask me where I got my shirt as it's followed by a derogatory comment like "it's falling apart, or it looks funny and is pilling" or "hi, i like the bra you are wearing today, I can see it through the shirt"...instead of the usual compliments years ago that I would get of "I love that color, where'd you get it", "Love that fabric, where'd you get it" or "That shirt fits really nicely, where'd you get it, I want one". Now I have to answer instead of "Where'd you get it?" with enuthusiasm, it's now like a sad admission of "I got it at the Gap" to which everyone replies, "OMG, you're kidding me, They used to have such nice stuff, what happened?" So yeah, Dear Gap, I am breaking up with you until you can re evaluate our relationship and pull your weight. Until then, I will be looking elsewhere. Signed, Your Ex Customer

What''s happening here???
Really disappointed in Gap right now. I know it's hit or miss in the quality of fabric with the more trendy items, but I expected more from classic "favorite" tees. This year they're just too thin- no shape at all! Please fix this. I do not want to try and find a new store for my familys clothing needs.

Perfect basic tee!
I have this V neck tee in charcoal heather gray, and true to its name, it's my FAVORITE t shirt. The cotton is super soft; not too thin but not too thick––the weight of the knit is perfect. I've worn and laundered it dozens of times without incident; it looks (and feels) the exact same as the day I purchased and brought it home. On a style note: Sometimes the plainest pieces can actually flatter the most, because it allows your true beauty to be the focus (rather than some noisy, trendy top you may be wearing). It can be oddly challenging to find a PLAIN tee with a feminine cut like this one, with both the sleeves and overall length of the shirt cut just right. I am about 5'5" and around 115, normally wear an XS/S in tops, and I own the XS in this –– it ... me SO perfectly. If you're looking for a great ... simple, basic, comfy, dependable cotton T shirt, then I highly recommend this one. (And on sale now too; how can you resist?) An absolute wardrobe necessity and a prime example of what Gap does best.

I am a busy mom who needs to wear flattering, yet simple clothing. These fav T's have become a staple in my everyday wardrobe. I wish they came in more colors. I would probably wear them every day if they did. Thanks GAP.

The Perfect T shirt
Unlike the other cheap and ugly clothing Gap has been selling lately, this is a really nice looking, good quality t shirt. I only wish it came in more colors! The Gap used to be the best place to go for good quality wardrobe essentials. What happened? If it weren't for the jeans and the Favorite V neck T I probably wouldn't shop there at all.

LENGTH! YEAH!
I can consistently look to Gap Tall to truly have shirts long enough. A lot of other retailers claim to sell clothing for tall woman, but it's only an inch or two of extra material- Gaps tall shirts are TRULY TALL! STAY THAT WAY PLEASE!

Perfect Ts
For a long time, I couldn't wear Gap clothing; it was just too young. Then I discovered that online, you could buy tall! These shirts are perfect. I wear a Medium tall (I'm 5'9"). I can tuck these in and they stay all day. The scoop is flatteringly low. And the lightweight fabric isn't stifling on a hot day. The fabric is also perfect under a jacket, as it is so thin there is no bunching. I know others complain about the "flimsiness" of the fabric, but I think it's wonderful!

Thank you Gap for providing clothing for the taller girl with a longer waist. I'm so tired of tops being too short and when I saw these I couldn't wait to try them. Just wish there were more colors!

Perfect, basic top- it''s MY favorite T
I ordered the black and love it so much that I have a white one on order as well. The material is a nice weight that's not too thin. It is a longer length but I like that since I have a long torso. It's snug enough that you can wear it under a cardigan. The scoop neck is flattering, even for someone small busted like me and not too low. I wear a size small in all Gap clothing and ordered a small. I'm 5'4", 130lbs.

Great casual shirt
I like these shirts because I can throw them on after work or on weekends. They are comfortable, not too clingy and the white is not too sheer. I have three of these white t shirts to wear on their own or under sweaters. (As usual with Gap clothing, the x small ... me perfectly.)

GREAT basic!!
I can't say enough good things about this style of long sleeved T shirt. The fabric is incredibly soft, keeps its shape after washing (make sure you wash in cold water and do not put in dryer, I hang my 100% cotton to dry to make the clothing last longer and no shrinking), is a very flattering style on any body type. If you are a more ... person I would recommend sizing down a size from your regular size. I usually wear a Large or XLarge and ordered Large and Medium and they ... great. It is a wonderfully soft knit that is flattering all over, you can't go wrong with this shirt and with good care, they will last for a very long time. Buy multiples, as I did.

GAP comforts my world
I am always on the look out for clothing that adds style with softness to my world. GAP T shirts always ... bill perfectly, whether long sleeve or short, V neck or crew, when I want it to look good and feel good, I turn to the GAP. This shirt does not disappoint. I love that it comes in a Tall option, making sleeves that are always long enough, a body length that is always right, and an overall flattering ... both feminine and comfortable. It's the shirt in the closet I turn to again and again.

My New Favourite
I purchased two of these tops - grey and black - and I love them. Comfy, light and warm, they go with most of my clothing. Love the v neck, wish that Gap made the exact same top with a slightly lower 'V'. I'll be wearing them for both casual and more formal events since they are great for layering. Will definitely be buying again in the future.

Too big
you must be ultra tall to wear tall clothing from the gap. I ordered a tall large it was too big overall. I am 5'9 and it was too big all over. Returned it.

Very comfortable
I am 6'2" and these shirts are actually long enough in the sleeve and waist. The material is so soft and comfortable that I bought more after my first purchase. I would highly recommend this shirt. Thank you gap for making tall clothing!

A must have basic!
Every winter season I look for a basic white long sleeve shirt to wear with my week end wear and to wear to work to go under like an open sweater or just to add a layer of warm for those soccer games. You must get this for one of your basic pieces of clothing. Thank you Gap!

Regular size XL which I already had 3 of from prior years was much longer and bigger than old my old ones. So I thought I needed to go to the ... size. So I went to the store to try on petites before ordering but there were no petites so I had to "wing it" and ordered ... XL and they were too big. So had to reorder ... L which worked well but it was a very aggravating process. If it hadn't been for the EXCELLENT gal at your 800 order number who went way above and beyond when I placed my final order I probably would have given up and gone somewhere else to purchase shirts. But she was great and I'm now very happy with my ... L. It's a good product. Holds up well.

Great! Purchased 2 of them!
I purchased one of the Gap's long sleeved shirts about 3 years ago and it was one of my favorites. After reading the reviews, I'm glad I skipped last year's version! The new version doesn't fit quite the same as my old shirt, but the fit is still good. The thickness of the cotton is not too thin but thin enough to layer. The arms are longer, but that's fine with me because I like my sleeves to be a little longer when peeking out beneath sleeveless or short sleeve sweaters. While I tend to size down on most of the Gap's clothing, I went with my normal size with this. I purchased one in black and one in gray!

Surprised, was the old Gap Style
I have tons of Gap T shirts, however, my lastest GAP tee shirts had shrink significantly and were not a good fit. I took the chance based on the sale and re ordered T shirts but in a larger size so if they were to shrink, I would still be happy. I have to say I ordered several shirts at one time to include long sleeve and short sleeve crew necks and ALL were of the same size, same material and same fit. All the shirts reminded me of the old Gap. I was very happy with my order. However, I still find Gap clothing to be questionable and not reliable anymore. I was able to consistently order the same size in all their clothing before and now everytime I need to try them on. I can take one pair of jeans and another pair of the same size and there is a difference. I wish the clothing were of better quality, consistent and the OLD GAP was back for good.

Continue to buy these
I have several of these tees in my closet. I particularly like the sleeve length. I like to put my cotton clothing in the dryer and these are still fine after drying. They do tend to run a bit tighter than some (I bought the large) but that makes them nice for layering.

cheap...
I am so tired of cheaply made Gap and Old Navy clothing. Especially their t shirts. The seams were coming loose after one wash! I normally get t's from ON, but thought I would spend a little more money and get the Gap and hoped to get better quality. Nope, just paid more money. On the positve side, I do like the length and the sleeves don't shrink up as bad as other brands.

Drastically Different Sizes in identical product!
I ordered 3 of the "favorite" long sleeved T's, all XXL (as the reviews said they ran super small), in 3 different colors. The black and grey shirts fit great, nice length, fabric, etc. The pink shirt was a full 2-3 inches shorter than the other 2 when held up against it and much tighter in the fit and sleeves. I did notice the 2 shirts I did like said they were made in Vietnam and the pink, ill fitting shirt, was made in Haiti. If they are all the same size and style, why do they not all fit the same? I was quite disappointed that they were not all identical. I will be hesitant to order from Gap again, due to the variances in sizes of identical products. Perhaps they should invest in some quality assurance and make all the clothing identical in size???

VERY PLEASED
I totally love ... having "spandex" in them....they hold their shape and conform to your body. I am 56 years young, slender, 5'10", and a 34C. I enjoy wearing youthful, age appropriate clothing that doesn't make me look " matronly". These tanks fit the bill!! They "hug" you in a comfy sort of way, are not see thru, and the look can best be described as.....totally sexy!! Thank you Gap!!

Cute tank!!
Very cute and soft tank. I'm 5'5'', 155lbs; bought this in a size S in the Plum color and I love how nicely it fits and looks. I'm usually a size small in Gap/ON/BR clothing and a medium almost everywhere else. It is a nice saturated color that's hard to find and will look beautiful on any skin color. Sometimes I have a hard time finding tanks that fit nicely around the shoulder/armpit area, even if I get a smaller size but this one fits great! It's long enough in the torso and sits nicely on my smaller chest (36B). I tend not to machine DRY clothing from this store because I want the value to last a long while. Will look nice with jeans, skirts, shorts....very versatile! Overall a great buy!

First american shirt I''ve bought that fits!
I moved to the US a few years ago and I love it here but have I ever had problems finding shirts that aren't too short! I'm only 5 6 and it never occurred to me to buy tall fit ... before but wow! Thank you Gap, your store will now be my go to for staple clothing items.

Great and versatile tanks. Do wish Gap would begin an affordable organic cotton line. Even some percentage of a piece of clothing being organic. Better than none and a good start. 'It can take almost a 1/3 pound of synthetic fertilizers to grow one pound of raw cotton in the US, and it takes just under one pound of raw cotton to make one t shirt.' - EDIPTEX

Great skirt!
I'm about 5'3" and 130 lbs. I normally wear a size 4/6 in regular women's clothing, and bought this skirt in the ... 4 and it fit PERFECTLY. You need these types of skirts to ... like a glove or they look ridiculous, and there is some stretch to this one, so if you're not sure which size to order, I'd order one size down. Overall, a sexy and versatile skirt...LOVE IT!

I love this skirt!
I should begin by giving my stats. A woman's shape cannot be neatly categorized, despite what clothing manufacturers lead us to believe. For the record, I HATE VANITY SIZING because it makes it more difficult for us to find ... I'm 5'6, and I fluctuate between 118 and 122 lbs with a 26 inch waist and 34 inch hips. I don't carry very much fat in my waist and hips. I have a hard time finding ... really ... usually have to get clothing altered. This is one of the few skirts that I can wear right off the rack (or in my case, right out of the bag, lol). It is form ... but it is thick enough not to be too revealing. The 00 regular hits right below my knees and gives me a little breathing room in the waist without being too baggy. I highly recommend this skirt for all of the little women out there who are desperately looking for ... actually ...

Waist runs really big.
I am normally a size 4 in Gap clothing. I'm 5'6 and 130 lbs. This skirt in size 4 was huge on me. I reordered it in a size 2 and a 0 (just in case). Well, the size 0 skirt ... perfectly. I am not a size 0! Anyway, happy to get one that ... since it's a really nice skirt.

Great Pants!
I love these pants! I have them in black and gray. They really are the perfect trousers. I looked for a year to find pants that were basic and classy but not trendy - pants that would last. These are it. I hope they come out with more colors soon. I want them in Navy and Brown too.

Perfect Work Pants
I am 5'11 and GAP is one of the few places that has decent work pants that are long enough for me. These pants are perfect! I bought them in a long (not tall) and they were perfect. I can still wear a 3.5" heel with it so it is great for work. They make you look slim and they don't wrinkle easily, which is great because I travel for work. Loved the gray ones so much, I went back and bought them in black! Sizing is typical of GAP clothing.

Perfect is a good name
I needed an updated black pant for work that wouldn't be too trendy, but still have style. These are terrific! I am curvy in the hips and was very pleased that these fit in the waist and don't pull across the hips and butt. I am a pretty true 8 and these fit just right. Do not order a larger size if you are between sizes. I am 5'4" and will have to hem them up a bit as even with heals they are just a tad too long. I wish these came in more colors, I would buy several.

Perfect!
I realized I needed a new pair of black dressy ish pants for conference days. Although I read every review and most responders liked it I was still hesitant about buying them online (I usually need to try on all clothing since I'm 5'/128). It came three days later and was a perfect 6A. I feel taller and slimmer :). I definitely recommend them.

Great fit - Bought online
We took a chance on these trousers. Buying clothing online is fraught with peril. But not so with these pants! Thet were a little long, but nothing a hem or a high heel couldn't deal with. And they look spectacular on my wife!

A versitile, pant staple
I am always looking for key pieces to combine in everyday looks and these pants fit the profile. I wear a 6 ... did not have to do any alteration whatsoever. I have worn them to work and a night out so far. I bought these especially for the wintertime when one's weight fluctuates. The pants fit loosely and flatter my curves like I had initially thought they would. I think the pants would look good on any body type and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a versitile piece of clothing.

i thought the pant would be great for work . i didnt like the quality of the pant nor the color i know bhlack fade but after one wash the pant are now gray.i will not buy another nothing from gap or br because the quality of the clothing is not the same.

cheap material- expensive price
These seemed wider than in the picture, also the material just felt cheap and shoddy. I don't understand why the quality of everything is soooo much better in the store. I don't know if it is just the TALL items that they make funny or everything on line but I am quickly losing interest in Gap clothing.

Paging fabric... Paging fabric
I love the silhouette of these pants and I needed a pair of black pants for work the next day so I bought them, but found the fabric to be incredibly thin. You can see through them and they desperately need a lining. I have found a lot of Gap ... thin this season and I suspect the rising cost of cotton is cutting into profit margins at most clothing companies. I don't think these will hold up well or last very long. I feel like I have to be careful moving in them or they may rip or tear.

Nice fabric and nicely constructed but BIG
Very nice quality fabric but otherwise about two sizes too large and about 5 inches too long. Definitely not the ... 00 fit I typically get with GAP clothing overall.

Poor Quality
It’s very sad that Gap has decided to use cheap fabric and manufacturing for their clothing line. This is the third time I have ordered something from Gap and thought I got it from Old Navy or some other mass production clothing line. These pants look like they wouldn’t last through one gently wash cycle before they came apart at the seams. I plan to return the pants immediately and find another store who knows that tall girls want good quality pants too.

Great pants
This is the sort of classic and basic clothing I wish Gap would return to specializing in, instead of trying to cater to the trendy crowd. These pants are great. Flattering, comfortable, and best of all: washable. They come out of the dryer ready to wear. I also like that Gap seems to have made their ankle length a little longer. It used to be that 'ankle' was too short on me but the medium length was too long and I'd have to buy medium and re hem the pants. The ankle length in these pants was perfect - no hemming required.

I have these in the dark gray and they are my favorite pants. For some reason the black fits differently. It is tighter at the "waist" so I returned them. I had tried a pair on before in black and had the same problem so I think it must be true that clothing varies by color because different people are cutting. Too bad. They really are great pants!

Great cut, thin fabric
I am one frustrated consumer in this economy. Has anyone noticed prices are the same or higher but quality seems to have taken a nosedive? I have purchased from BR, Old Navy, Gap and many other apparel stores this past year for my family and finding the same issue everywhere. I bought these pants a few years ago, loved the cut, and the fabric was great. This year I ordered two more pair and the fabric is much thinner. I really hope clothing manufacturers are hearing this. I know everything is made outside the USA, but please keep the quality of your brand.

too big overall
Very nice quality fabric but otherwise about two sizes too large and about 5 inches too long. Definitely not the ... 00 fit I typically get with GAP clothing overall.

I REALLY wanted to love them
Sadly somethings are just destined to be returned. The fabric really leaves nothing to the imagination, which would be great if you have a near perfect body. I recently had a child and although I have lost most all the weight, I have this little (very little) pouch to my lower stomach. To this point clothing covers it perfectly. Unfortunately these pants enhance the fact that it's there. The pants look great around the butt especially if you are like me and don't have much of one. In conclusion, buy these if you have nothing to hide weight wise. Also... if your bum has a lot of cellulite, I would caution you in purchasing. The fabric is thin and clingy.

The perfect pants
This is the pants that everyone should have in their closet. They are not trendy they are classic so you won't have to be replacing them anytime soon. They are well made with just enough detailing and the fabric looks very expensive. I love them and will dress them up and down for all seasons.

This should be called the PERFECT PANT!
I was amazed when I tried these on. They are the most flattering bottom I have ever had the pleasure of wearing! I wish I could find a pair of jeans in this fit! I love the straight fit because its a very slimming look. It elongates your silhouette by having a straight line from your hip to the floor. It, however accentuates the curves you want to be accentuated; namely your booty! The fabric is thick and forgiving - awesome cover up any of those unsightly bulges that tend to come out in a lightweight wool fabrication. The pockets do NOT bow out! there are no side pockets; only very tailored back pockets and one front pocket. This is awesome as it helps to further slim down those hips! Another thing about the fabric is that it's super stretchy. so to find the perfect size is not hard at all!. One thing I have struggled with in the past with gap bottoms has been their rise. It's usually too long for me, but these are perfect! They are low rise and hit in just the right spot! Not too long to make your booty look flat like a lot of pants do. In terms of the other posts about them being too long, i heard that gap went to a longer inseam as they were getting feedback that their pants were too short. I'm 5'10 and bought the 6L and they are absolutely perfect for wearing heals! I think if your want to wear flats, you would probably need to go down a length than you normally do, but I like this better it's always easier to tailor a pant to be shorter than it is to get a longer pant. Also, they are cotton spandex so the extra length allows for some shrinkage if you want to wash and wear. I have always had this problem with pants as they are never long enough to allow for shrinkage, but these do! My advice: buy them, you'll love them! If you think they are too long, wash them once and see how they shrink. If they are still too long, have them tailored. IT"S worth it no doubt. These are the perfect pants by far! I am going to get them in every color they come out! I have not been this excited about a piece of clothing in my life!

Should have bought more
You know how you find that perfect item of clothing, you wear it til it's dead, then you wish you had bought like 10 of them? That's these pants. I have them in gray and black and they are the only "work pants" I don't strip out of as soon as I come home. They are that comfortable. And actually that good looking too. I am 5'3" and the ankle length are perfect. I have only had them for a short time though so I hope they hold up over several washings, etc. (My other favorite pants from Gap are the curvy jeans, if that gives some perspective on where I am coming from.)

Great Pants!
I rarely write reviews for clothing and I am writing one for these pants because I love them! The pants fit well and are very comfortable. They wash well with no shrinkage and need little ironing. They do stretch out a bit after the whole day of wear but not in a saggy way that looks bad...just something to be aware of when decding on a size.

I liked these pants, but I had to return them because I'm a teacher and they're a bit too tight in the butt. I was on a mission to find "conservative" pants, and these are more trendy. I would recommend them, though - they were cute for going out!

Most Horrible Pants Ever. Ever.
If I could give these zero stars, I would. A few months ago I tried on and purchased two pairs of the black True Straight Premium pants in a size 6, my regular Gap size for several years and countless pants and jeans. I have never been more unhappy with a Gap purchase in my life. They stretch out horribly and within hours. The amount of washing (by the care instructions provided) has caused them to fade into a black ish color. They are so baggy that my boyfriend thought I was wearing sweats one day. To top all that off, I sat down at work mid afternoon to find a hole on the inside seam near the top. I work in customer service and deal with customers face to-face on a veryregular basis. Luckily I was able to leave work and change.This was the single most mortifying clothing mishap I have experienced in my professional career. I do not feel well dressed in this item, which[...] I have more recently purchased the Modern Boot pants and I love them. Where was the quality control when the True Straight was designed and tested? This item has serious design flaws and poor fabric quality and appalling construction. I would encourage Gap to remove the item and rethink these aspects. The fit and style is what attracted me to this item, but now I dread these pants and even looking at them in my closet sends me into a panic. I plan on taking them back, but doubt I will be able to.

shrinks
When I purchased the pants they were long but fit everywhere else. I got them hemmed, and threw them in the wash and dryer with the rest of my clothing. They came out looking like they would fit a child. I understand a little shrink and stretch. But there are so small that I can only conclude that they were not pre shrunk. If you love them I would either order up or wash immediately after purchasing them. Personally, I would rather pay a little more money for ... remain the same size.

My go to pant
I bought a pair of these last year and I wore them so much that I had to buy another pair this year. This pants are so chic and I LOVE THEM. These are my favorite article of clothing in my closet. My only negative comment would be to carefully wash them because they shrink easily. Other than that you will not go wrong with this product.

cute, cute, cute...great if you can''t pull off the black jeans this year!
I bought a pair of black jeggings two months ago, and can't bring myself to wear them. So, today I exchanged them for these FANTASTIC PANTS. I normally wear a 6 regular, but didn't want the bunching around my ankles. I went for a 6A and they are perfect!!! I'm 5'3" about 135. The 4 regular would have fit as well, but again, I wanted them to be straight in the leg. They pair perfect with pumps and I can wear them to work with flats. They are super trendy and cute, but not so much that it would be awkward to wear to a client meeting. Slimming, flattering, and ...in love :)

One flaw
Overall, these pants have a nice fit, with one design flaw. First, the good. They're slim like a legging, but have the real structure of pants. They go best with a longer shirt or tunic. The sizing is consistent with Gap clothing. I bought the 2P, which fit just right. I feel totally comfortable wearing them to the office or dressing them down on a weekend for a casual outfit. They do tend to get a little loose as the day goes on, but that's not the real deal breaker. Here is the main drawback: the crotch has a major design flaw where the fabric folds in the most unflattering way. How should I put this? Think of a hump backed desert animal. Now think of it's foot. Yes. Watch out, because even if you are wearing chastity grade underwear, these pants will make you look like you left the house forgetting something. To get around this, I've taken to wearing these pants with longer shirts and standing with my legs crossed. Most times it's not too noticeable because the pants are so dark. Consider this a fair warning. I wish I would have noticed this in the dressing room.

NOT COLORFAST
As usual I am disappointed in the quality of GAP clothing. I purchased the Real Skinny and Slim Crop pants and the first time I washed them both the black color ran. There are now weird white/grey spots all over my pants from where the dye ran. I will stick with the J. Crew Minnie pants!

Perfect Fit!
These are the first pants I have owned from Gap that fit perfectly. I am a tiny ... (5'0", 85lbs) so it is difficult to find clothing that fits without alterations. With pants, the issues are usually hem length, the rise being too high, and excess fabric in the hips/thighs/rear area. These pants in size P00 fit like a glove (the regular 00 I tried on in a store was slightly too big). I was worried about the length, but my legs are disproportionately long for my height (my regular inseam is 31"), so the hem ended up just above my ankles. For the price, the fabric is decent and has just the right amount of stretch. I hope Gap will eventually offer these pants in other colors and/or fabrics. I would definitely pay more to have this perfect fit in higher quality fabric.

LOVE these pants
The best thing since sliced bread! I'm 6ft size 8 but got these in a 10 b/c the 8 gave me a slight muffin top and the 10's once washes and steamed are a comfy and sassy bit' of clothing perfection.

Excellent Product
I have always been lucky with GAP clothing. My only problem is, most of the time I have to order online for length. It's really not a problem, but I hate waiting. =0)

Wardrobe staple status!
I have never written a review for any item of clothing from Gap but these were so amazing, I felt I needed to share! They remind me of J. Crew's much lauded Minnie pant but much more affordable and dare I say it, even more flattering in fit. These do run small so I would suggest sizing up. I knew these pants had potential even when I felt squeezed into my regular size 4. When I tried on a 6, the stars aligned. These pants are classic, slim cropped pants a la Audrey Hepburn. They will never go out of style and the stretch makes them incredibly comfortable. Don't confuse these with the ultra luxe slim cropped pant that is made from a different material and comes in more colors and has the flap back pockets. It's billed as the same fit as these slim crops but they are not the same at all. The ultra luxe pants fit much more loosely and strangely on the leg, not flattering. I hope Gap makes more colors in this pant, I would snatch them all up!

I'm 5'4" 130lbs and typically take a 6/8 in GAP and ON clothing. Given the high spandex content I went with my smaller size to allow some stretch throughout the day, so the 6 fit well. Construction was good, no unfinished seams and fasteners were attached well. The fabric is decent, it's a good weight and thick enough to hide any bulges and lumps. I could do with less spandex, but it's what gives the pants a 2-way stretch which actually minimizes the amount of sagging and bagging in the knees and seat. As for length, these are a bit long for a crop. At 5'4" I don't typically hunt for ... clothing because the pants tend to be too short. These I would have made an exception. The regulars hit at just above my ankle bone and it's an awkward length. I did like the pants and the price was right, so I just tuck the hem under which brings them about 1.5" above my ankle bone, a good cropped length.

LOVE IT
I remember this fabric from a few years back. Very comfortable and thick enough that the close fit does not feel revealing. This is important to me as I am self conscious about my thighs. I have great muscle tone but my legs are short and appear very "peg leg" in pants that cling all the way down. I Can No longer wear this look as I am never going to be 110 again. I am now 127 and while I am OK with this I will not wear the legging jeans. I am 49 but appear 10 years younger and Still will not do this. Also I am not Latin and here in Miami, tight and little clothing is A Ok but not for me. And while not a fashion horse, I try to stay somewhat stylish. The slim crop in 4 was very tight in the waist - or at least this pair was. Then I came across the "really skinny" and the "true straight" in size 4 and they both fit my 5'4' muscular but a little juicy curve frame almost perfect. So maybe the pair I ordered on line were made in XingTi province and the other styles were manu'ed in XZhoti Tu province and that it why. There they know more about [*] butt sizes :)

Perfect for Boots
I was hesitant to buy skinny jeans, since I prefer classics over trendy items, but I have a couple of pairs of great boots that I wanted to wear and didn't like the look of wider jeans tucked in. I tried on lots of different pairs at different stores, and these were by far the best. They have a great, flattering shape and are very versatile. I've seen some people complain about the fact that they stretch a bit, but I just bought them tight and found the slight stretch to be comfortable and flattering. I will say that though I am almost 5' 7", I had to buy ankle length in my size so that they wouldn't bunch up in my boots. The regular length was long enough that it bagged down around my feet. I've been wearing these often and washing them regularly and they look and feel better than ever.

Great jeans
These are the best jeans I think I've ever owned. I'm 6'1", so I order the tall size, and they are the perfect length-- I can even roll them up and inch or so if I want. The inseam is about 38"! I also have the real straight in the darkest wash they had, and I thought those were great, but the ... color of these is fantastic-- no whiskering, nice dark blue classy color. They do run about a half size big, which is good because I don't like to be squeezed into my clothing. The waistband is sturdy and holds its shape much more than other jeans, and these feel generally high quality. I can wear them several times before I feel like they need to be washed back into shape. Love them! One of the VERY few things I would pay this price for. Don't ever get rid of them!

Listen to Everyone and Size WAY Down
The reviews on this website saved these jeans for me. I'm 5'11" and 150lbs, so I usually wear a 6 or 8 Tall in Gap Jeans. Seeing the warnings that these jeans expand dramatically as you wear them, I ordered both a 4 and 6 Tall, planning on returning whatever didn't ... 4s were pretty tight at first, but within 20 minutes, they'd stretched and ... me perfectly. I've washed them several times now, and though they're somewhat tight at first, they always stretch out within no time. Any larger size, and my butt would be lost in saggy denim. Other than the sizing issue, these jeans are really dark, so they're slimming to my thighs and hips. Also, they're trendy without being ridiculously skin tight. Buy 'em and size down about two sizes, and you'll likely be happy with them

Love these jeans!
I first would love to say that I absolutely love GAP jeans. I too am a (true) curvy girl who wears a size 10 curvy/12 regular jean. I feel nothing but completely sexy in these jeans! All jeans stretch out over the day, stretchy jeans or not, the jeans with a minor percent of elastic just happen to stretch more, because *that is what elastic does. [...] I have no other line of ... my closet, and I am more than happy paying extra for a article of clothing *knowing that the extra money goes to properly paid, cared for employees!

Pretty good cheap ish skinny jeans
I am 5'9", 145 lbs, and followed the other reviewers and bought an 8 Long, even though I'm usually a 10/30 in Gap pants. I'm glad I did! These jeans do stretch a lot, but sizing down helps that some. I got them for tucking into boots through the winter, and maybe I'll wear them with flats in the spring, but I still like the straight leg for that because it seems a little less trendy. I'm happy with my purchase, but I do not love these jeans enough to order the other rinse.

BEST Jeans, but......
The Always Skinny are my absolute FAVORITE jeans. I have an athletic body and the ... fantastic. *However*-- Gap has a huge issue with their sizes. I bought a size 4 in the Gap store at my local mall. Figured a size 4 of the EXACT SAME JEAN from online would ... exactly. NOT. The jeans I purchased online were HUGE on me, and had a completely different ... also purchased a pair of the destructed *in the same size*, and these, too, ... completely differently than the dark wash size 4-- even though they are supposed to be the *exact same jeans*, just a different wash. Even the associates at the store were scratching their heads and couldn't figure out why 3 size 4's of the same jean ALL ... *completely differently*. My advise is to purchase the jeans IN THE STORE if possible, and make sure you try every single pair on-- even if they are the same exact jean! I've never had this issue with any other jean, so it seems to be a problem with Gap's clothing manufacturers, which I suspect are young children in foreign countries. But I DO dearly love these jeans! They are the only ones I wear now!

The Sexy Boot Cut ... best ... have ever had in ... life! The ... incredible no ... waist but it still ... rear perfectly. The cut is very flattering. Long Enough for the Longest of Legs

Timeless ...
Being 36, I try to find ... between 'mom' and 'trendy'. I LOVE the ... these! Waist sits just above my hips acentuating the waist. I purchased the darker wash which has a gentle fade where ... would naturally wear first. Only the long was available in my size, so will have to get them hemmed. Great dressed up with a blazer and heals or down with some sandles and a tank. Great purchase. ... my go to since I was a teen!

LOVE THESE ...
We all know how hard it is to find the perfect ... Also, I have to order my clothing because of my size (16L). Being 5'10 and a bit on the curvy side, I have an incredibly difficult time finding clothing to ... me right! These are perfect! The length is great, the rise is great (it says low rise, but it's not super low-I'm accustomed to mid rise, but these are great!), the color is pretty dark which I lilke. I wish there were more color options to choose. BTW I ordered another pair of these right away!

Pretty nice ...
I love the overall ... these ... seemed to lengthen my legs and the length was perfect. Sometimes ... clothing can be a hair too much on the short side, but these were not. ... well every where except the waist for me. ... were just a bit snug through the waist, though I ordered them in the same size I normally order all my ... including ... waist was not so tight that it was uncomfortable but I definitely felt better in them over the course of the day, as ... had time to stretch out a bit. I loved my ... bootcuts from a few years back...so much so that I wore them out! So disappointed to find the many of the reviews here to be true.:-( The demin is much thinner (probably cost cutting) and the ... isn't quite the same. I am 5'3", usually wear a 4P or 6P and feel like I have a really hard time finding ... somewhat decent, and the old ... bootcuts were pretty awesome. The ... back then were a little long, but I could get by with wearing them with flat shoes. These ... ridiculous! 30" inseam, really?! I hardly think that falls under the ... category. Now I have to get them tailored, which is not what I expect to have to do when I order ... clothing. I think ... really needs to rethink their sizing again. This is such a common complaint I feel I need to find a different brand of ... What's a short girl to do??

These are NOT Low Rise
I ordered these in an 18 Long in hopes of finding a true low rise ... dissapointed. The rise on these was 11"--they hit at ... belly button. I don't know if the rise was so high because of the size of the tall length, but neither of those is a valid reason to have an 11" rise on a "low rise" ... should be more like 8". Seems to me like ... took the ... model pair and just expanded the pattern all over for larger sizes. I know clothing construction and have worked in a costumes shop. That is not the correct way to make a pair of pants. Will not be trying ... again.

great look BUT...
i love the way the ... ive bought 4 pairs. i originally ordered the medium and light tint in the regular length once i received my order and tried them on ... looked great and enhanced every area described but for a regular length the ... were extremely long. i am 5'2 so most regular ... little long but usually i can put on my boots(always w/a 3 1/2 or 4 in. heel) and ... perfectly but with these ... literally could only wear them with sneakers because if i tried wearing heels the cuff of the ... would fall under my heel. to remedy this issue i ordered 2 more pairs online and just ordered the ankle length and the ... fine. i do have an issue w/the fabric though. i have never been 1 to complain about price when it comes to ... but these ... should be made better for the price. i have 2 pairs that have been trashed because ... literally tore apart in the wash after a few washes. it was very disappointing because i do like the way ... look just not great quality. i am a faithful and frequent ... shopper and the quality of the clothing has a major factor in why most of ... online shopping is done ... but the quality of these ... did come w/a big disappointment. if u like a great look but poor quality these might be the pair for u, but for me i expect more from ... continue to shop ... but after a few purchases of the Sexy Bootcut and running into the same issues this was ... last purchase of this product.

Don''t even bother
These ... just bad. I used to ONLY buy ... because they ... tall thin girls, but not anymore. I bought my usual size in Tall and they dragged the ground, I'm talking four or five inches too long on a 6 foot tall girl. The material was also way too thin. It clung to my body in a cheap, trashy kind of way. The wash was too light in places, like ... trying to be trendy instead of classic. I sent them back and I am not buying another pair of ... until they decide to focus on qualilty. Good thing I live in Florida and I only have to wear pants a few weeks out of the year...

Did not receive what I ordered
It is impossible to rate what I ordered, since I received an entirely different pair of pants than requested. ... order receipt says "1969 Sexy Boot ... med tint, and the pair of pants that I received say "Perfect Boot" on the clothing label. That's not even the problem though. The pants I received are not ... fabric, ... lightweight summer stretch fabric and not what I wanted at all. Definitely returning and very disappointed with ...

These Jeans are the best fit...EVER!!
These jeans give a great look, they are comfortable, flattering, fashionable but not overly trendy. They look great with t shirts and espadrilles all the way to high heels and a silk blouse. I'll continue to buy these. Don't change them, Gap!!

These jeans are longer than usual. I usually order a long (5'9") but they were way too long. The regular ... just right. I like that they aren't quite so low. I can sit on the floor without everyone seeing down my rear. The stretch makes them really comfortable. I'm in my mid 30's and it's nice to find a pair of jeans that's not that's not too mom ish and not too trendy. Nice job Gap! The denim is a little thinner than my other Gap jeans. I hope they hold up as well. I wear between a 2 and a 4. I bought a 4 and they do stretch out a little, but the 2 was a tighter look than I wanted.

don''t like the whiskering effect and the bum/hips sag after wearing
i love the ... these jeans but found they are too long. an inch shorter would be perfect for me. I have a 30" inseam and like to wear my 'going out' jeans with nothing higher than a 21/2" high boot heel. The denim is not of high quality - it's on the thin side and a big gripe is that the bum stretches out after wearing them only for a little while. I like my jeans to ... not sag out. My biggest gripe is the whiskering. I don't like it. It's wierd. The lines are exactly the same distance apart and makes the effect look so contrived which is not what you want in your jeans. Anyway, I wanted a jean that was dark, dressy, and classy, not "trendy" or whatever. There is nothing in the description that even mentions this whiskering. Take it out. Get rid of it. It's dumb looking. I love the waistline though, and that I can bend or crouch down without worrying about showing skin/underwear (this is a bonus when you've got little kids). I love the ... through the hips. summary: lose the whiskering or mention it in the item description; improve denim quality to reduce stretching out effect.

Disappointed
I finally found a pair of jeans that ... after having two kids and going down/up in sizes. I bought two pairs of this exact pair of jeans last fall. I still wear them but they are starting to wear in the knees since I wear them to work (and am working with kids on the floor most of the time). I figured they would ... perfectly but unfortunately they were way too long. I ordered a 4P but they did NOT measure as ... They ... everywhere else but I had to return them due to the length. I don't feel like I should have to pay to have them shortened. They should measure correctly. I will reorder them again someday in the future. But this inconsistent sizing in clothing has happened before from Gap. I guess I am not too surprised.

Didn''t like these...item returned.
After reading some of the positive reviews, I decided to try these, but I was not impressed. In general I have not been impressed with the quality of clothing from GAP and the sister brands this year. I wish they would go back to using more quality fabrics. I have clothing from GAP from 2005 that has held up better than some of the recent fabrics have. Such a shame retailers have gone down in their quality in the past year.

These jeans are FABULOUS!
I have recently become a GAP addict! These are my favorite jeans. Very stylish but not too 'trendy'. I am a 'vertically challanged', 38 yr old mommy of 3 w/some curves. The rise ... me perfectly...I don't 'hang out' every time i bend over. My favorite thing is that i wear a 10A in most gap jeans, but the 8A ... perfect!...it was very exciting to wear a 'single digit' size!

great ...
I was looking for some easy casual ... replace my soft and greatly worn faves which were wearing holes in the crotch...lol These are more constructed, but will wear well in time. I had to exchange the ankle for regular (which will be hemmed along with the waist taken in), but other than that they are great! I am 5'4.5". I try to find a classic ... between 'mom' and trendy and my husband LOVES these.

A Perfect Rise Jean!!
I have been searching for years for a ... not a mom ... not an ultra low rise. This ... PERFECT! It does not show your butt when you bend down, does not enhance the muffin top and you have a clean slim line that looks trendy but super comfortable. You'll love these ... I'm buying more. Hey Gap! More colors and washes please! Would love a destress look.

hmmm...
I actually purchased these in store and was really excited about them. They were snug when I purchased them, but I figured that they would stretch a bit and ... really well. After wearing these ... twice and washing/drying them, they are huge. They streched out so much that they could probably ... someone at least 2 sizes bigger than myself. I think the quality of clothing that the gap offers is very inconsistent and has gone downhill the past couple years. I think I will have to shop elsewhere for my clothing.

Disposable clothing
I'm 6', and slender, and was a frequent customer of gap ... last decade - and was thrilled when they came out with X Long options. I wear size 8 everywhere else, but size 10 with Gaps ... lately - which is okay, I don't mind what size the label says, but even the size 10 is too tight in the rear, and I know I don't have a large butt. All together with off sizing and fabric on the cheap, Gaps quality stinks with a mighty odor. It seems clothing everywhere is becoming cheaper, meant only for a season or too before they wear down and get small holes at some tension points - in this case where pockets or zipper meets pant material. Poor quality gap! Like several of you, I too am looking elsewhere for better quality. Any suggestions?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Curvy ... They ... me like a dream (Incidentally, I have heard that they run long, which I think is great because I have long legs, but be warned.) I often have the challenge that trendy ... impossibly tight in the thigh..... HELLLLLO.... real women have curves! It'm a true size 10, which in L.A. is huge, but for the rest of the world isn't exactly a Plus Size. These ... like a dream! 1969 Curvy ... - Great ...
I really like these ... Thanks to Gap, I can order and not worry about items not ... Just take them out the bag and wear them. I love the 1969 Collections and as always Gap clothing is very durable. I just wish Gap would offer more variety in color. A Black ... would be great for days like Casual Friday but would add a little dressy touch. I do most of my shopping online almost never have to return any items.

Nice ... all day long, but front pocket issue
These ... really well and do awesome things for your legs. The medium wash is great for every day, and the fabric is soft, comfortable and retains its shape. Thanks, Gap! My only quibble is with the front pockets. They aren't very deep and back of the pocket (where the denim attaches to the pocket lining) is maybe an inch longer than the top of the pocket. Consequently, I'll notice that the pockets don't really sit flat on their own (or "pop" throughout the day), so I find myself tucking in my pockets a few times a day--a weird thing I've never had to do before. (Older pairs look to have a 1.5 to 2" denim allowance which seems to help keep the pocket from popping.) This reminds me of those trendy but super cheap juniors ... we used to buy at discount retail stores when I was 12. With everything else Gap has improved about their ... hope they revisit the fabric allowance on their pockets the next time around.

Great for curves!
It's about time the clothing world makes pants for the smaller waist but curvier rear! The ... material is kind of thin other than that they're a great ... price.

Curvy ... don''t ... my Curves
I am just not sure who gap is designing for. Teenagers don't go there, they go to other stores. I am in my 30s and I feel the price has gone up and the quality has stayed the same of gone down on most gap products. All of my friends agree - even Moms who can afford the clothing just aren't happy with the high price tag. I was very disappointed with these ... put them on, they felt just like any other pair of ... took my curves to another "hip" store and have found a pair of ... complementary. Try them on though b/c maybe they will work for you, but if they don't, don't give up the search.

Shocked
I received 2 gift certificates for the Gap at Christmas. I was so excited!! I went to the Gap in Redmond, WA. I tried on each style of ... except for the style, Boyfriend. I was told that Gap stores do not carry trendy fashion ... got into the ... room, I was absolutely shocked!!! All of the ... wanted to try on were the exact same in weight and quality, as the [@] ... wearing. The girl that was helping me totaly agreed with me. She even told me not to wash them too much because they tend to give away at the zipper and knees. I only bought these ... because I had a gift certificate. The Gap WAS the place to buy ...

The Perfect Jeans
I love the Gap, the company makes great quality clothing. I have been wearing their blouses, t shirts and jackets for may years but have avoided their jeans because I can't always find my size in store and did not want to go through the hassle of ordering online only to have to make a return if the jeans did not ... made the leap and ordered online [...]. Unfortunately I ordered my jeans 1 size bigger than I would normally wear (incase they ran small) so they are a little big on which is fine. I am 5'1" and have hips. To my amazement the jeans are true to size. Very flattering! I had to get them cut because they were long but that's normal for me. And because I ordered the dark wash they can be dressed up or down. They look and feel expensive on. Definitely a good investment.

I bought these jeans for my mom who is a 14-16. She looks like a 10 in the jeans! she wont even consider any other brand now no matter how trendy the brnad name happens to be.

Loves these jeans. I have a curvy body and these jeans ... great....NO muffin top very comfortable and still looks trendy!

Love the look, but wear with dark colors
I love the look of these dark wash jeans but have never been able to get them to stop bleeding dark blue ink on other items, even after several washes. Wear with black or other dark clothing that won't show if it rubs off. On the upside, the ink that rubbed off on to a pink bag of mine washed off so the bag was not ruined.

Fantastic for the first couple of hours...
I fell in love with these jeans when I put them on in the dressing room. They went on fairly easily, and ... snug, but comfortably. I wear a 2, 4, or 6, depending on the ... jeans, and the 4's in these seemed to ... perfectly. I'm fairly curvy...there's a 12" difference between my waist and hip measurements, so I ALWAYS have a gap in the waist, no matter how "curvy" the jeans are supposed to be...these are no exception. I wear longer shirts anyway, so that wasn't an issue. I liked what I saw in the dressing room mirror (which is rare), so I took the jeans home, washed them that night, and wore them the next day. Putting them on, again, they ... great. But after walking around in them for about two hours, I had to start pulling them up every few minutes. It's not the waist that's the problem...these jeans began to sag horribly in the area where my toosh and thighs meet. I HATE when jeans do that...it's a problem I'm running into with every pair I buy lately, but these are by far the worst offenders I've ever run into. I'm not sure if it's the jeans themselves, or if I should have tried to go with a 2 instead, but I find that jeans that I can pull over my thighs run big everywhere else. Overall, I'm just disappointed in them. That first day I wore them, I tried to take them back simply because they didn't ... like they did in the dressing room just 24 hours prior, but GAP has a no return policy on clothing that's been washed or worn, so I'm stuck with a [$] pair of jeans in my closet that I can't really wear. For someone who's recently lost 35lbs (I was a size 12 a few months ago) and is trying to replace their entire wardrobe on a shoestring budget, it's just frustrating.

A disappointment
Once again, disappointed by jeans that have a waist the same size as the hips. When will clothing designers understand that most women curve in at the waist. When you sit in the jeans be prepared to be mistaken for a plumber.

Material very POOR quality!
I just cannot waste any more money on "throw away" clothing made by this company even though I love the styles. I loved Gap jeans and consistently bought all my jeans here (Sexy Boot, Curvy and Long and Lean over the years). They ... well and were very flattering; however, the material they are made of now is simply AWFUL. In the past I would buy 4 or 5 pair and they would last awhile before getting worn out. In the last two years every pair I have bought has torn within 6 months!!! Off to spend my money elsewhere...

... Perfection
... perfection found! I thought I liked the Curvy ... until Straight came back into stock. From experience, I ordered an 18, which is smaller than I would think, when I often wear 16-18W (I need the 20 in tops generally). The ... perfectly, everywhere. The rise is a bit higher than the lower rise ... had, but far from Mom ... coming in just under the belly button. They just ... not too tightly, not too loosely, all over - the waist, hips, rise, legs. They felt like a dream on all day, the first day. I'm just afraid to rave about them, lest they go out of stock and there's no coupon (for they are a bit pricey). I'd rather they didn't have that lighter wash on the thigh, but otherwise, love the dark wash color and I'm not going to quibble. The stitching is simple and attractive, not boring, but not trendy. I've only worn them once, so I can't rate the wear.

real straight ...
These are, by far, the best ... have ever bought. The ... perfect. The straight (rather than skinny) is flattering and trendy for those above 30 years old.

LOVE
I'm very happy with these ... I'm 5'10" and 140 lbs being curvy, shall we say, in the butt and thighs. I can't pull of a skinny ... so I tried these instead. The size 8 ... perfectly! I got the regular for flip flops and the tall for heels. I had a baby almost 4 months ago and I don't know if my body shape has changed b/c normally Gap ... too loose in the waist for me but these ... perfectly! I should add that I've only tried them on so I don't know if, like other Gap ... they will stretch a lot from a day of wear. I'm happy to be able to wear a trendy ... again! I can't wait Buy away!

good, versatile ...
I bought these because I was looking for a skinny ... slim but not like leggings - these are perfect. They're stylish and look great with flats and boots but not so trendy and tight that I feel like I'm trying to pass as a 17-year old girl.

great ... but needed one size up
Love this ... but I ordered one size larger than I normally wear in Gap ... after I tried the new bootcut ... not even close to ... me. Sad to say this size ... perfect (just like my smaller sized old gap jeans)...problem is most if not all women do not like to go up a size in any clothing especiialy ... They are also very long. I am 5'8 and I had to have about 3" taken off...but it was worth it because they are a great color and are very flattering.

Great ...
These ... great. I love the way they ... I'm 6' tall and usually shop ... line of tall clothing. In the past I've had problems with the tall sizes having too high of a rise, but the newer ... seem to be better in that area. They also don't ... back like some ... do. I especially love the price. A great ... pair of ... way less than [$]. What a deal.

real straight ...
I love the pieces of Gap clothing I have and most of these pieces of clothing I have had for 5+ years and they still look great. I August I finally decided that I would spend the extra money and buy a pair of gap ... instantly loved them and they looked great on me. I don't wear ... very often, i had worn these about 20 times and the fabric on the inner thigh split. I was gutted by this because of the cost and Gap to me equals quality and these ... did not live up to the standard of the rest of my Gap clothing.

SO disappointed
I LOVED THESE ... While I was able to wear them that is. My order came in the last week of February. Its now the first week of May and I discovered a hole in the crotch of the ... I'm not a big girl by any means (size 8, 6 feet tall) and there is no reason for a hole to be forming after such a short period of time. I expect better quality from Gap clothing and this seriously disappointed me because they're one of the only places I've found ... clothing to ... my gangly body.

Great at first, but ripped after 3 months!
I absolutely loved these ... initially. They're a very versatile, flattering cut for me. However, as a couple of other users have mentioned, they do not hold up under regular wear and tear. Mine ripped in the seat after only 3 months! I'm very disappointed. I contacted ... complain, and all they did was apologize and promise to pass this information on to other departments--no offer of a refund or replacement pair. I'm sorry, but if I spend [$] on a pair of ... expect them to last a good while. I'm really angry about the apparent decline in quality (despite consistent or increased prices). I will be shopping elsewhere for my clothing from now on. My advice: save your money and get a decent, durable pair of ... elsewhere!

Falls apart after few wash
I used to shop at ... all the time but their ... no longer of quality and the style of their ... tacky and of lower quality. The one thing I did continue to buy was their ... purchased the Real Straight ... despite the material looking a bit flimsy because the cut was flattering.I even paid the $12 to get it hemmed and wore it on the weekends. I am not shocked, but still disappointed, to see a small area in the rear starting to fall apart - it will be a gaping hole in a few more wears. I can tell you that I have ... 10 years old that are faded but still intact! This is proof how ... now sells low quality clothing. I called customer service and they told me the department that handles these types of complaints dont open until 11am. I am done. No more. I will pay more and get quality clothng from [@] where I now do the bulk of my shopping;

My HG jeans at a perfect price
Love Love Love....My holy grail jeans. They are perfect, trendy yet classic at a fabulous price point. I have 3 pair in dark, medium, and just ordered the light.

Nice Jeans, classic and feminine.
These jeans are quite pretty. They show off a beautiful feminine figure. The rise is higher than I am used to but I'm realizing that it gives a great proportion to my hips, makes my butt look great, my waist look skinny and the gradual wider leg gives a nice long and lean look, hence the name! Also this jean feels great! It is really comfortable and looks a lot nicer than the uncomfortable trendy jeans! I bought these jeans in Tall or XL, I am 5'10" and the Long length shrunk up about an inch or so and was too short. I now just stretch those out after I wash them then hang dry, but the XLong is a no worry dry. 4 stars only because they stretch out a little after the second wear, I'm a 3 or 4 time wearer before wash but I don't mind washing them sooner ;)

Big Girl that looks good in these jeans!
Just bought these yesterday. I am cheap in my clothing spending. But I do have expensive taste! My dude is the type that buys most of his ... off the sales rack at Kohl's. So for him to have gone to the Gap (impressive in itself) and purchase 2 pairs of the 1969 authentic jeans was quite shocking! So I elected to treat myself. Was really skeptical. I am approximately 5'9" and weigh 195 lbs. So I am in no way shape or form thin. My body shape is very different from what you are probably imagining. Plus size jeans are wayyyyy too big. I would guess that most people view me about 20lbs lighter than I am. I think it's my strategic dressing! Do everything I can to flatter my figure. Anyway, I went to the gap and tried on a few sizes/styles. I hate the curvy jeans because they are low rise. Again I am 195lbs!!!! Why on earth would I wear low rise!! So I gave the long and lean a shot. Much to my surprise, they fit me fantastically!!!! I wanted to buy 1 pair each of the darker washes. However they didn't have my size in the store for the really dark wash. I plan to try and find it at another gap. Also I have skin allergies. The jeans are really soft. I was worried about wearing them before washing them because of the dye. But I didn't have a problem, most likely because I didn't wear them all day. The only criticism I have at this point is the fact that the jeans are not heavy like men's denim. Winter is coming and it's cold in PA already. So I worry a bit about wearing them when it gets REALLY cold. Also, since material is thinner, a little concerned that my new [$] jeans may not last that long. But I guess I will just have to wait and see.

Let Down...
When I heard Gap was revamping their denim line, I highly anticipated their reveal ! Considering 95% of my clothing is from there, I assumed the Gap's changes would only improve upon, an already great product. Unfortunetly, I was pretty let down... I have been wearing the long and leans for about 3 yrs. . After getting my first pair, i was hooked. I purchased a pair of the "new" L. and Lns. , and their was a signifigant difference in fit. My main complaint is LENGTH and REAR . I wear ankle length, and they were at least, a full 1/2 inch longer than all of my previous pairs... although they claim to be the same. Also, i feel the backside, is far less complimentary, than the previous edition . I did keep my new pair, but i'm just glad i stocked up, befor my former L. and Lns. , were discontinued.

Why the Change?
I have worn long and lean jeans since college. I am curvier and so they were always perfect and the ankle always was the perfect length. I ordered a new pair and I have lost weight so I went a size down. When they arrived I put them on and was shocked at how large they were. They are huge through the waist and hips. These jeans are known for stretching out so by the end of the day I can take them off without unbuttoning them. Also they are about 2 inches longer than the ankle size used to be. Now they would have to be hemmed because they are too long even with heels. They are workable but ORDER A SIZE SMALLER than you normally would. I have a pet peeve about clothing that isn't true to size. Ann Taylor LOFT used to be a huge offender and now the GAP is joining that group.

no no NO! Adding an inch to ... inseams is INSANE!
Seriously?! First of all these jeans were NOT true to size. They weren't even close, way too small. I could actually deal with that( size issue) if that was the only thing. They Gap/Old Navy etc. do have really easy and fast returns/exchanges. The wash was not as I expected, I would have liked it to be a bit truer to the picture.. but yet again I could have dealt with that, EXCEPT the big kahona.. why oh why add an inch to a ... size?? That is the whole reason I was special ordering off line to get a ... length and to find that they added a whole INCH to the inseam is insane. How many ... people you know have a 33" inseam??? At 32" inseam previously jeans I bought from here were long on me. I have a 30" inseam which is 'long' for a ... person.. every website states that ... 'dimension not a size'.. which I understand perfectly. So once again why add an inch to a inseam when its the whole point of being called ... smaller inseam/dimensions??? Im very disappointed and even in another style after initial return I had the same size issues of being too small and I returned both pairs. I will never be ordering jeans here again. Im not spending 70$ to have jeans hemmed I already have to tailor every pair of pants I purchase. I just cant get over the addition of an inch to ... inseams -its pointless. If you dont want to carry ... stores and only offer it online, then sell ... reach a market that is very real and very much in need of clothing that fits.

No Good
I tried these jeans on in the store and I have to say they are nowhere near as good as the old Long and Leans. The fabric is flimsy and scratchy (shame on you Gap, for using cheap denim!) and the fit isn't nearly as good. While they do look relatively nice on, they are not nearly as comfortable and the rise is lower, which I really don't care for. The old long and leans made almost everyone look good and hid all manner of sins - these definitely don't! Gap needs to remember that people expect a quality product from them - especially when you are paying [$] for a pair of jeans. In general I wish Gap would go back to making attractive slightly trendy (but not overly so) clothing that you can wear 7 days a week. All the flowy dressy tops are getting old. I have to think Gap is alienating a lot of long time customers...I'm certainly one of them!

Sooo comfortable
I love these jeans. They have a little room in the thighs which is hard to find in trendy jeans. I love the length, very long which is also hard for me to find. I will need to where a belt, but I wanted a size that felt comfortable and not so skin tight. I can fit in the 8's, but went for the 10. The waist is not so low too. The medium color is still pretty dark. They're mostly lightened up in the front of thighs and rear end. I will have to order a dark wash too. These are my favorite jeans. Thank you GAP!!!!!!!

Why is the sizing so inconsistent?
I bought a pair of the new edition 1969 Special Edition Long & Lean jeans about three months ago, and those fit perfectly. I liked that the fabric has a bit of stretch now and the material is softer. They're actually one of my favorite pairs of jeans. So, because I loved that pair so much, I bought a new pair last week, but the fit on this new pair is completely wrong. I wore it for only a couple hours and everything has stretched and sagged in all the wrong places, and on top of that, the "ankle" length is three inches too long. What is the point of making an "ankle" (just call it short; ankle isn't fooling anybody) length if you're just going to make the inseam the same as your regular lengths? Your sizing table says the "Ankle" length is 30" - this inseam is at least 33" on this pair. No wonder this company is going bankrupt...I can't rely on the quality and consistency of Gap's clothing like I used to.

wish they would last longer
This is my third pair of these jeans and I buy them because they fit pretty well and aren't ridiculously expensive, BUT they don't last very long. The two previous pairs got holes in them within 2 months. I wash and hang dry and am not particularly tough on my clothing and compared to other jeans, just seems like they are not very well made (hence the cheap part, I guess).

Glad to read on this site that other women feel the same as me about the change in the Long & Lean jeans. I'm so dissapointed. I don't like the new stretch factor and they fit differently too. With all ll the expensive, trendy jean styles that come and go, the Gap was always a staple in my wardrobe and my "go to" jeans. I feel lost now.

These jeans fit nicely. HOWEVER, a hole ripped in them along a fade line near the pocket. I have never seen a jean rip like that before. I don't wear my jeans tight, so I think they are just not great quality. I have a couple pairs of them and it has only happened to one, but it was definitely a flaw in the jeans. (Now that I think of it, almost every piece of gap clothing I have purchased lately has had some sort of issue.) I guess I should be doing my shopping somewhere else.

I usually buy your jeans because I love how they fit, and I love how every pair I get fits the same every time (hence why I always buy the exact same style every single time). This pair, however, was a different story. The size was way off, and when I compared the new pair with my other jeans (which are identical), there was a big difference in rise, room in the hip/thigh area, and waist. What happened? I've been loyal to your jeans because they're usually so consistent in size, but this pair was way off. I know you make millions of pairs of jeans, and it's probably difficult to catch every goofy pair, but please try to be better with your quality control. I love your clothing; I would hate to have to stop being a customer because of something as fixable as this.
