After breaking them in, quite nice
When I first purchased these ... they weren't everything I hoped they would be. The fabric felt awkward and the proportions just "one off" for my ... frame (I bought the Long size). The whiskering on the hips was odd because it gave the effect of broadening my hips at the widest point. However, after wearing them for a few weeks, they've become my favorite ... along with the medium tint boot cut ... Both styles ... like a glove now that I've broken them in and I get lots of compliments on them, especially from other ... women who want to know where I got my cute long ...

Love, Love, Love
Just receivedd my ... today and LOVE them!!! I am 6'2" and have a difficult time finding ... length especially if I want to wear a pair of heels. As far as anyone saying that they are too long, if you read they say that they are 37inch inseams. My only complaint is that I wish the were real denim through and through. I also love the fact that there is no gap in the back when I bend over or sit down :) Thank You GAP! Us ... women love you!!!

Great pair of ... Petite women
Purchased the ... online and they are better than I anticipated. I am 5'2 and weigh 114 so I purchased the ... "ankle" size. These ... helped accentuate my slight, barely there curves. They definately earned their name, Sexy Boot!

Ok
These ... ok, I have another size 6 in a different style and they ... me just right, but are more comfortable. These are a bit tighter in the waist and hips than I would like but like most women hopefully will lose some weight. Not a bad ... overall, but not my absolute favorite Gap ... either.

These ... great for curvy women!
I am a curvy and petite woman. These ... really flatter your curves and accentuate your figure! They aren't too high waisted but just high enough to solve the muffin top if you have one! I normally wear American Eagle ... but they tend to be too low waisted for me, so after purchasing these I think I will definitely be wearing Gap ... now on! I purchased these in petite and I'm 5'2" so of course they are still a little long on me, but they really do slim your legs too if you have bigger legs like I do! Great ... overall!

VANITY SIZING!?
I am 5'4" and 100lbs. After a long ordeal of ordering a 2 (too big), and trying to exchange them for a smaller size, they are still too big. I ended up settling with a 0P, and the butt and thighs are loose and by the end of the day I am pulling my pants up. I tried a 00 in the store, but that's way too tight. I really need a happy medium. Also, they are too long and end up cuffing the bottoms so they don't drag. I can't imagine what the 5 foot women do! For the price, the material should be heavier. I feel like I will wear through the knees in these very quickly.

Why must Gap keep changing the ... every season???
Have loved these ... several years and have bought many pairs over the last few years. Grudgingly put up with the slimming the thighs last season. Women buy the sexy boot cut because they are flattering to those of us with curves, and especially great for curvy petites. PLEASE STOP CHANGING THE ... ALL THE TIME! What has happened to the dark wash? Just ordered the Fall '11 ... they are TOTALLY different than previous seasons. Way too long and just dumpier in general. Good bye Gap ... Very disappointed.

ENOUGH WITH VANITY SIZING!
Ok, Gap. I have always gone to your clothes because they're made for a slightly smaller framed person with small and petite sizes available, but now the vanity sizing is getting out of hand. I have been 5'4" and 100lbs for the last12 years. My size 0 gap ... 2004 ... just fine, but now the knees are getting holes in them. These ... same size, should ... right? Well, they don't and I'm frustrated that I would have to go down to a 00 just because you want overweight people to feel good about themselves. I have 3 young children and don't have time to be ordering and returning and ordering again. Women's ... should have the same sizing as men - waist and inseam in inches so there is no guesswork.

Gap ... ONLY ... can find that fit my short waisted long legged frame. These ... last. I'm still wearing ... bought 10 yrs. ago from Gap. I am ready for tall colored ... bring them on!!!!!!

just a little bit better than the long and lean
I always have to order the tall b/c I'm 5'10 and wear heels. anyway tried all of the 1969 styles and landed upon the perfect boot cut in dark. comfy and sexy. If you want to look slim and tall plus be sooo comfortable these are for you. you can bend over w/o embarassment they fixed the back so they sit higher but still cool.

Best ... Have Found to Date
These have been the best ... I've found to date (I liked the curvy cut also). I have tried all the big name brands out there. I tend to carry a little extra flesh in my lower waist and these have been the only ... give me a nice clean look through the lower waist and hip and not give me the horrid "muffin top." If I find pants to fit in the hip, the waist is too small and visa/versa. There is more coverage in the rise which is great (although I would like to see the back a touch higher, but an improvement over last years cut). I'm almost 50, 6ft tall, active and ride horses and these ... nice for riding. Great for casual fridays in the office, going out for dinner, etc, etc. The denim is not heavy and stiff which I prefer. The ... come extra long which is great if you ride and if not you can hem them. I personally cannot say enough about these ... wear them everyday.

GREAT ...
I am usually a fan of Gap ... two reasons - 1) at 6' tall its hard for me to find anything long enough and 2) they have a good selection of washes/styles for the tall size. These ... even surpassed my expectations. The fit is PERFECT. It honestly feels like they were made for my body and they don't gap in the back like some of Gap's ... tend to do (no pun intended). I read the reviews that these may stretch a little and that's ok - I might need it if I eat a big meal or gain a few! But overall I am very impressed with these ... dark wash they'll be great for work or going out.

As always a great pair of ...
I've written reviews on these ... almost a year....my first review I was a size 14 tall. I have lost weight and now a size 6 tall. These ... fit just as great in a size 6 tall as a size 14 tall.

I'm 5'4" 128lbs and ordered 4L. The fit is perfect ... fitted to my hips and legs without being too tight. I'm not tall but normally buy my ... long so they look good with heels, but these are longer than I was expecting! If they don't shrink a bit in the wash I'll probably have them hemmed an inch and then they will fit perfect with tall heels, making my legs look a mile long! :) Besides the length, they fit great and are a lighter weight denim that is quite comfortable. They'll be great for Fridays at work and going out.

Finally!
I found these during a search for dark denim tall ... then consulted my sister who also wears a 35'' inseam and she said she already had a pair and loved them. I am extremely happy with this purchase! The added small amount of spandex makes them very comfortable and the denim isn't so heavy that the close fit scratches my skin. A perfect addition to my wardrobe. I ordered the regular and then selected LONG, as opposed to the tall 37'' inseam which is just a bit too long.

THE BEST ... I''VE EVER WORN
These ... PERFECT. They fit me perfectly and I have a hard time finding ... because I have really long legs and a big butt but a flat stomach. Most ... if you have a big butt, they assume you have a big stomach too so the front is always too loose for me. But these ... PERFECT. I think it's the 2% spandex in them. They hug my curves in all the right places and make me look tall and thin with a nice butt, not thick and wearing baggy ... like most other ... make me look and feel. I seriously wear these almost every day and they go with everything. The only bummer is, based on these ... bought the light wash too, and they're not as perfect. I think they only have 1% spandex in the light wash and it makes a HUGE difference. Also they're cut higher, sort of like granny ... But the dark wash is THE BEST.

Perfect Boot ... (Dark Wash)
These ... really pretty. But I had first ordered the Long ones since I'm 5'11 ft. tall but they were way too long. I normally wear ... tall people but not this time. I then went to a Gap store and got them exchanged for relugar lenght which fit perfect. The waist was lower then I expected but since they fit perfect everywhere else I will keep them untill I find some with higher waist.

LOVE these ...
I ordered these in a dark wash, size 10 Tall and they are a perfect fit! I was so upset about having to order a size larger being I gained a bit of weight, (wore and 8 Tall my whole life) but am very happy with how they make my but and legs look slim and shapely. I am 5'11" with a 36" inseam and they are quite long and haven't shrunk a bit after washing. I will buy these again in other washes. How about white for the summer GAP????

Nice ...
I've been purchasing Gap ... years. I'm 6" tall and have appreciated being able to get ... long enough so I haven't been particular with the "exact" fit, I've been more concerned about the length. These are a nice mid rise ... (although I would like to see the back a bit more higher). The fabric is great, not a heavy denim, great for summer. For those that are mentioning these are running small, they do fit a bit smaller, but Gap did mention in the description that the sizing has been standardized. You just need to try them to see how they fit. I purchase the Xlongs for the x rise and tall fit. I too have to shorten the gap ... flats or a shorter heel, but I don't mind, you can always shorten, but you can't lengthen. I have old Gap flare ... five years ago that I still wear, I love them and personally wish Gap would bring them back. My only suggestion to Gap would be, for us "older" gals we need the mid rise. The low or ultra low rise just doesn't work. I also placed an order for an XL length, but when I got them they were not the 37" length, but were 34". I wonder if the wrong tag was sewn in the garment. I kept them and wear them with flats, but these things happen. [...]. As for the price, I always try to purchase them on sale over internet, it helps to save a few pennies in this economy. Thanks Gap, you're appreciated from us tall gals....keep the tall pants and tops coming.......

LOVE these ...
This is my second pair of these ... bought the first one a size larger for a comfy, ... with-sneakers look (plus, I had gained a few pounds). I loved them so much that I bought my regular size, which is perfect! I love that GAP's long ... actually long enough for ... women like me--even with heals. The ... soft, have just enough stretch, and along with some Lucky Brand long flares, are my new favorites! The only thing I don't like is the little bright blue rivet on one side in the front, but that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Buy these ... You'll LOVE them!

Great ...
Love the Perfect Boot Cut. Unlike skinny ... fits real women. Never considered myself to be petite, but at 5'6 it's the perfect length.

These ... great. They ... well, and the talls are long enough. Finally some ... long enough for my ... daughter.

Eh...
I like the sexy boot better, I feel like it allowed my silhouette to show more than these. My waist size is larger than my leg size, but I really feel like my legs are swimming in these ... (especially by midday, because these ... definitely stretch out). I've thrown them in the dryer a few times and I think that helps. I wish they were a little more lightweight, but overall they're very comfortable and soft. Ordering a smaller size might be a good idea for most women.

Talls are WAYYYYYY too long!
I love the style of these ... am too ... wear the regular length. They are about an 1/2 inch to an inch too short so I ordered the long. I am 5'-10". Well, these ... must be made for someone 6'-2" or taller. I haven't figured out what to do yet. I am probably going to take them somewhere to get hemmed but then the fading doesn't match around the new hem. I really don't want to return them because they are really cute and ... good elsewhere.

Love the ... only issue is the waist
These ... great in rear, thighs and inseem (I order x talls and they ... great for my height - 6"2) but the waist is huge! There was about a good 3 inches in the back of the waist that just buckled and gapped open so I had to take them in for Alterations to remove the additional 3 inches at waist. Very weird ... uless these are made for women who are pretty straight framed and have no curves. The waist seems excessively large though even for straight framed women.

The ... thru the hips and the boot cut leg were perfect. I do not like the low mid rise waist, need one that fits at the waist. Also do not like the faded areas of the fabric. At 71 I cannot dress as a teen. I am very disappointed at the selection for ... women.

Love these ... Well worth the price.
I'm 5'9'' and 170lbs. I got the size 12 talls and they ... perfectly. I cuff the bottoms of my ... If you don't want to cuff the bottoms, I would not get talls unless you are at least 5'11''. I have a hard time finding ... like, and these ... perfect.

Very flattering ...
I am tallish and Not Curvy. These ... look fantastic, and get compliments from people. But I can see them looking very good on shorter, fuller figured women too. Just a good balanced design. I will note that the sizing is generous, so be careful, you may have to buy smaller than you think. I am about 36" around hips and have old size 4s from Gap that ... but these ... great in a size 0.

my new fav ...
These guys ... great. I'm really really ... normally the skinny look (and all skiny ... just don't ... right, the knee placement is all wrong and the calves are ankle thin even in the 'talls'. These however ... like a charm and the color is great.

Great cut, too small
I love the style and cut of these, but found they ... one size too small. I have a more boyish build and often find that women's ... cut to accomodate hips that I don't have, but these are cut straight and ... well once I ordered one size up. Other than that, I really like them.

Inconsistent sizing
I bought these ... before and they ... pretty well - still a gap at the waist - maybe that's why the store is called the GAP - all their ... gap at the waist! When I bought this pair in the same size they were very tight through the thighs - much more like skinny ... my first pair was perfectly straight. I wish Gap would focus more on quality control and consistent sizing. I you want their ... MUST go try them on in the store - which leaves us ... thin girls out since they don't carry talls anymore in the store and every pair you order online fits differently - even the exact same model, size and wash!!!!

Better quality control in sizing is needed. Frustrating!
After trying them on, I purchased a pair of these a few months ago. The Real Straight ... have not ... me well in the past, so I was surprised to find that the cut seemed to have changed in a way that improved ... my body type. I liked these ... so much that a month or two after buying the first pair I went back to buy a second pair. I bought exactly the same size, wash, and style as I had the first time, so they should have been exactly the same. The second pair ... completely differently. It was like an entirely different pair of pants-- the waist was much higher and the ... looser all around. There's enough frustrating variation in women's clothing sizes already-- Gap needs to get it together.

Sad to see Long & Lean ... go
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these ... am beyond sad to read that they've been discontinued. They were the only ... found that fit me the way I like ... fit. I'm a tall girl, but not tall enough to wear "tall" length ... not short enough to wear "regular" length ... Long & Lean ... Gap, in my eyes, were the perfect fit. I really wish Gap would re think their decision to discontinue them and bring them back.

If only men fit as well as these ... hahah I absolutely LOVE these ... Being 6' tall, it's really difficult to find ... fit me well in the waist as well as the length..and to able to wear them with heels is usually out of the question. These ... absolutely Fabulous. I plan on buying a whole lot more in the future!

Long enough!
I bought these and also the 1969 Perfect Boot for my 6'2" daughter. The length is perfect for her very long legs, and she also likes the popular dark wash. The inseam length is true to what the fit guide stated at 37", and did not shrink way up like some brands. My daughter is thrilled to finally have ... long enough! We only wish that GAP had some casual pants in 2 tall, instead of starting the size range at 4 tall.

LOVE these ... PLEASE don''t Discontinue!!
I have been wearing GAP Long and Lean ... nearly 10 years. As a tall woman, this style make me feel comfortable with my height and feel great in public. I love everything about them from the length of the pant to the hem at the bottom of each leg. If you were to go into my closet, you would find several pairs in nearly every wash. I recently found out that Gap is planning on discontinuing this style, and I am very disappointed. I know that I am not alone in this sentiment. Please do not discontinue this style and if you do, please keeep tall and curvy women in your thoughts while you are putting 23 different types of skinny ... shelves.

great pair of ...
I am 6 feet tall and about 160 lbs. with a 35 inch inseam these ... size 8 long with flats and 8 tall with heels fit great. I have several pairs but in one pair of ... waist runs a little larger and I have to wear a belt. Otherwise the fit is great and the material is lighter and "gives" more without sagging.

I wore long and lean ... long time, up until the last few years. They changed the fabric and the fit went to being loose and baggy.This is coming from someone being heavy in the hips and thighs. But I tried the new design and i love them! They are great for tall people. The material is thick and very flattering. I love when my ... fit tight to me because in an hour they will be perfect. I will highly recommend these to anyone if you like a nice clean tight fit! I cant stand when ... loose and these are very fitted I am very impressed and happy the original long and lean ... back!

no complaints here!
I LOVE these ... apprehensive based on all of the reviews. I'm so used to ordering many different pairs and being prepared to return them. I'm tall and carry most of my weight in my stomach (size 18). Typically in ON ... 16 is a tad too tight and an 18 is too big. And honestly I almost never buy ON anymore. But these Long 18's are just about right (I'm about 5'9.5"). They fit just right out of the package...I have a feeling they might stretch some, but I find that they fit me just perfectly in the thigh, waist, rear, etc. A wash might take care of that. The length is just right for me to wear my Dansko clogs and tennis shoes...flats they might be too long for but being a tall girl I NEVER complain about length. That is always fixable compared to something being too short. In terms of the fabric, I don't mind the weight at all. It's a midweight which is perfect I think for year round ... hem detailing is nice making them almost a trouser style ... I'm ordering a second pair...and I've never done that before. And my legs...they truly do look long and lean! GAP PLEASE keep up offering the Long length and offer it on more items. Regular is too short and Talls don't fit my torso!

These are perfect!! One thing to note though, I am glad I ordered regular, I usually order tall b/c I am 5'10'' the regs fit like a tall - plenty of length. The wash also looks darker in the picture which what I wanted, but the ... wash really has some lighter fade on the thigh area.

Great fit, but terrible fabric
Despite many years of try ons, I never had luck finding Gap ... fit--I'm tall (5'10") and pear shaped, and I want ... have a bit of a flare to balance out my thighs and butt, and fit closely but not super tight. I would have thought the curvy fit would be better, but I have tried both and the Curvy ... gap at the waist. So, I am thrilled at the fit of the Long and Leans (I never tried the old ones, only the new 1969 ones), but the denim is TERRIBLE. I just ordered my fourth pair in less than a year, because the fabric wears through so quickly. It also stretches out, so the only time the ... really fit perfectly is right out of the dryer. I tried on a size 14, thinking that w/the stretch that would be about right, but they're too small--I think b/c there's a 2" difference in the waist b/w sizes 14 and 16, while the other sizes have a smaller difference (usually 1"). Anyway. I will probably keep ordering these, at least until I can fit into a size 14 long in anything else (my old favorite J.Crew ... were discontinued), but please, GAP, consider using heavier gauge denim! These ... not your cheapest--the construction should live up to the price.

Good but still needs improvement
The new redesign makes the ... better, but they're still not a home run. A good option for us 6ft tall ladies, though. The ... fabric is a little thin for my taste, and stretches out a LOT when you wear them, so for me its one wearing then wash and put them in the dryer. I do like the dark color though. Length is good, possibly longer than the 36 inseam noted -- I compared them to my pre redesign Tall Long and Leans, and these are definitely longer. I have to wear them w a 2 inch heel, otherwise I have to cuff them up, which ruins the line of the leg. This is not necessarily bad, but the specs need to be clearer on the website.

I really like these ... They are very flattering and comfortable. They ... me perfectly and they are a great casual pair of ... own. I would recommend them for other women like me, who have small waist and bigger hips. I am 5'9' ... got the ... size 8 (and that is the size I would usually get) and they were perfect. Great purchase! I actually have 2 pairs...

I abosolutely LOVE these ... bought them the first time in a dark wash at the store. Since I wear a x long inseam it was a miracle that they had them in store! I did have to get them taken in at the waist since they gapped a LOT. But I wore them with a black turtleneck and boots to an evening out, and I got nothing but compliments. I'm ordering them in a lighter wash that I can wear during the day. All the people complaining about the ... being too long have obviously never heard of a tailor. KEEP MAKING THEM LONG!!! I'm 6'2" and if Gap shortens the ... right length for 5'11" women then it will be too short for people like me! It's easier to make them shorter than it is to make them longer.

Favorite ...
I am so pleased with these jeans...just the right ... curvy women. Waist is correct size and hips are perfect. I am a size 14 and have difficulty finding ... both places! Thank you GAP.

Great ... but...
...I wish they weren't quite so loose in the waist! A 10 ... fits me perfectly everywhere except the waist, so I know an 8 would be too tight in the rear and thighs. I love the wash and the quality of the fabric is good. The 10 talls have a 36" inseam...not quite as long as some of the other Gap styles, so I can only wear them with flats.

Love the length!
True to size and plenty long for a 5'10.5" woman who loves heals. Will not order anything but extra long talls. They are possibly even a little too long, but nothing a tailor couldn't fix or you could simply just deal and roll, try drying them in machine or even better, get higher heals. :) Definitely not a bad thing to finally have extra length. Would absolutely recommend gap long talls to anyone seeking a great pair of ... wear with heals. Something minor is the texture of the denim itself, a little rough, but am hopeful they will soften after multiple washes.

I don''t know why I bother
Gap (and Old Navy and Banana Republic) is so inconsistent in their sizing that the only reason I ever shop here is because they have talls available. Not anymore. I have another pair of the same ... different wash and liked them, so I ordered these in a bigger size (put on a few pounds at my new job). These are even tighter than the smaller size! They are also extremely tight right around the very top of each leg just under the butt. Very strange. Also the longs are a 33" inseam and the extra long is a 37". Wish there was something in between. Unfortunately these are going back. I think I will be shopping elsewhere. The quality is just not there anymore. Gap, figure out what is wrong with your quality control and I will be a loyal shopper again.

Not REALLY for curvy girls!
While the ... do lengthen the leg, that's about I can say positive about them. I am 5'8' with a 26 inch waist & 38 inch hips, and I can tell you, these ... not for curvy women. I got a 4L, and they gap in the waist, and are extremely tight in the thighs. The Perfect Boot is actually a much better ... my measurements. I just feel that the name 'Curvy' ... EXTREMELY misleading. The two pairs I ordered are both going back!

Generous Gap Sizing, good for curves.
I am 5'2", 130 pounds, slim ish, curvy/athletic and these are a good ... non boyish figure. I am a true 6-8 ( in Lucky Brand and usually a 4-6 in Gap). These in the Gap 4 Ankle fit perfectly. I can still wear them with heels; they're about a 30"-30.5" length, midrise. The dark wash makes it a great dressy or casual ... They're very flattering. Every women should own a pair of simple dark wash like these. I highly recommend!

Love my womens ...
I LOVE these ... like how they stretch and move with the individual wearing them. I am a guy and I hate mens ... They give you that saggy look. These ... keep their shape hours after washing.

Great for women with bubble/athletic butts - but order smaller
These ... great! I am petite and really curvy and normally have the problem of ... gapping at the waist (fit perfectly around thighs, could fit an extra person around waist) or the ... sitting weirdly on my butt (meaning the minute I sit down, bend over, walk, etc. the backside just slides down for full exposure).These ... do neither. They fit my thighs and the waistband fits comfortably over my hips - no gapping or risk of having my backside exposed at any bend. TERRIFIC! However I wear sizes 00 and 0r in these ... normally, I'm a size 3-5. So I would HIGHLY suggest experimenting at a store to find your size then ordering your faves online.

Perfection!!
I'm 5'2" 117lbs and these fit perfectly!! (2P) a little stretch and made long enough for heels or boots (not flats!) Nice dark rinse and boot cut. It's "curvy" but I'm not. So don't get caught up on the name it works for "non curvy" women!!!

Perfect ... Fuller Figure
I purchased these ... size 18 and love them. I have fuller thighs and a smaller waist and these are definitely the perfect ... women with that combo. I also really like the back pockets; they don't make my behind look huge, unlike some plus size ... do. I love the wash, just be sure to wash it alone for the first few washings, as it tends to bleed. I really like the opening at the bottom as well, as it is not too flared and is more of a straight cut.

good dark ...
I need to buy ... sized ... regulars are nearly ankle length on me. I bought a pair of premium talls at the outlett and they fit perfect. I ordered the same size ... style and they were nearly 8in too long. I had them hemmed at the taylors and they are now perfect.

best fitting ... athletic, curvy women
I love these ... color. The length is right on for talls, especially ... women who want to still wear heels. I am 6'0 feet and can still wear these ... pair of 3 inch heels. The color is great for dressing up but still staying comfortable. The first two pair seemed to have a weakness in the fabric next to the zipper on the left side, both pair ripped in the exact same place in the fabric and not on a seam, one pair fluke, two pair - fabric weakness. I am hoping this doesn't happen with my new pair. Even with the extra sewing required they are still my fav's and I go to them all the time!

These ... great but I wish I could have purchased them in the store.
I really like these ... however, I really wish I could buy them in the LONG length at the store. Two of the GAP stores I shop in said they do not carry longs over size 12! GAP you are missing the boat on this! The larger a person is, the longer their pants need to be! If a person gains a little weight the pants get shorter. Therefore, larger people need longer pants! The majority of women are constantly going up and down at least a few pounds in weight. I don't know anyone who wants to walk around in "flood pants"...!!! Make the long length ... available at the store! You'll sell more pants - I guarantee it!! You can always make pants shorter but you can't make them longer!! Anyone want to jump on this bandwagon - let GAP know that long is better and put longs in all sizes in the stores!!!

Tall is not long enough
The Gap used to offer the option of "Tall" or "Extra Tall" lengths for pants but now only "Tall" is available. The inseam on a ... pant is 37" which would be fine with me since I am 6' ... but after several washing the pant length can shrink up to 2 valuable inches. I wish The Gap would offer the Extra ... length again.

LOW rise for sure
I am curvy. I have yet to find the perfect ... fit me, and I thought I'd give these a try. Firstly, they do fit my curves quite well. That being said, they are REALLY LOW RISE! So low that I wouldn't be able to wear underwear with them and might be worried about the dreaded "plumber's crack'. It's really odd that the only curvy ... they make are low rise. Most curvy girls I know really want their rear ends covered! Also, why are gap ... 33" long? That is really too short for average, but the 37" talls would drag the ground! Oh well, these are going back immediately.
