i am IN LOVE with these ... fabric is wonderful and the give and shaping of the fabric is something magical. its so hard for me to find ... fit nicely, stretch where i need them to stretch, and give my lower half a nicer silhouette. these ... worth the money easily, and ive never spent more than 40 bucks on ... i'm a pear shape who's relatively athletic (145-150) and 5'5''. ... find are usually not stretchy enough in the right places, make my thighs look larger or unflattering, too stretchy in the wrong places, etc. several problems. these ... were WAY better fitting for me than the curvy style as well. the curvy was too tight everywhere on my lower half. the waistband for the perfect boot is also wonderful, but since im pear shaped, sometimes the waistband is a bit too loose for my waist. overall, these ... best purchase ive ever made. hopefully gap makes khakis in the same style and countouring!

Love these ...
I love these ... They do stretch a bit so you need to take into consideration when purchasing. However, they do not stretch too big as to not fit. I bought mine a little snug and when they stretch, they are PERFECT! I am tall and having ... long enough is a big plus. I buy the long length and can roll them once or wear with heels let down. My husband tells me they look great from behind. What more could I ask for? Nothing!

I really love these
I want to start of by saying I am surprised by all the reviews stating that these stretch out a lot and that they run too long. I purchased these in the store in my normal size 2 or 26. I wear 26 in almost all designer denim and these fit just as well. Like a glove actually. I have worn them one day and since I am at home with my kids I am bending and in squatting positions a lot and these did stretch some but not much at all. My $150+ ... stretch out more in one day. Also, I got the regular length and they are 33 inch inseam but did shrink at least a half inch in wash. The length is perfect for me being 5'6" and 125 pounds. I am leggy but never wear heels so these are good. I saw some reviewers state the length kept shrinking in wash. I hope that doesn't happen. Time will tell. I did notice that lint seems to be attracted to these (I have the dark wash). But not the biggest deal for the price I got them for. I think Gap should make these in more washes. Definitely a better medium color than the light one they are offering. I find it kind of ugly. A cool distressed pair would be nice as well. I don't mind the weight of the denim, similar to designer brands. I do think they could make a little heavier weight pair, not by much but just a little more denim like. These fit very much like Hudson signature boot ... without the annoying low rise and a fraction of the price.

New fabrications holds it shape better!
I was leery about the addition of polyester to the ... but am a total convert because they don't stretch out so much now....they stretch just a little bit, not an entire size and not all in the seat like the old style. It's barely noticeable the amount that they stretch during the day. In fact, you can get 2 days use out of them now before needing to wash and re shape. For that reason, you need to go with your "real" size, which may mean getting a size bigger than what you wore in the old 98/2 blend. For me, the 2P is the right fit now....whereas with the old 98/2 fabrication the 2P was too ... out within a couple hours and so the 0P was what worked for me. With the new blend....the 2P fits like a glove when I first put them on and stays that way throughout the day. I appreciate that!

finally!
I am only 5'1, but have been told I'm not quite that now (sad!), and I am in my 40's. I have a small waist, but have the hips going on. I am told I have "the figure" for my age, but I have had the hardest time finding ... don't gap in the back, that isn't TOO high rise, that minimizes my hips & that lengthens my legs. SO...after lots of trying on recently, GAP helped me with my problem!! It was decided that the best ... me were the "Perfect Boot" and the "Curvy"...I liked them both, but could only afford one pair. I wore the Perfect Boot last week & I felt very confident & good! Might I add, I am between a 8 & 10 petite, normally, but because of the stretch, I got a 8 ankle. They fit great, but I am afraid that they will stretch out too much after wearing them a while. I will find out, but I really, really wish GAP would consider taking the spandex out of at least 'some' of their ... Why is everyone putting spandex in EVERY pair of ... now????? When ... fit, you don't want them ... out the longer you have them on!! ---My next question is, will the light wash fit as well as the dark?? They do fit differently, I have found..hard to know how to order because of this & I do not live near a GAP store; a long drive for me. --Good luck to others, but overall I do recommend these ...

Doesn''t fit at all.
I used to LOVE Gap jeans but their new ... stretch and loose their shape hours after you put them on. I really liked these in the store but when I got them home and wore them for a couple of hours they were falling off. Too big in the waist, hips, and thighs. The sales person said to get the next size down because they stretch a lot but why would I buy ... don't fit in hopes that they stretch in the right places and stop stretching when they fit right? Quite a gamble for [$] Same problems with the long and lean that fit perfectly before they changed them. I won't buy Gap ... again unless they change back to the way they were.
