Nice ... money
My son wears these ... school - he is slim in the waistline, and because these can be ordered in slim sizing, they fit better than traditional fit. The ... good buy overall - they're stylish and durable - they don't look cheap like ... can look when purchased from discount stores. I purchased the same ones last year in a smaller size, and since they don't fit this son any longer, my younger son can wear them and they're still not worn out!

NOTHING FITS BETTER IN A SLIM ...
These are simply the best slim ... ever made for BOYS. they fit well, the waist isn't all bunchy, the legs are slim cut, they have a true slim size to them. THEY ARE WORTH THE $$ ! The slider close is awesome for younger kids. LOVE UM!

Perfect ...
These ... slim are the only ... buy my son. They fit his body perfectly. He's slim and petite and with other styles, there's too much ... material in the body part and legs - he gets lost in them. These are perfect, comfortable and stylish. The price is great, too! I only wish they sold more slim sizes in the stores!!

Perfect ... boys
I originally bought these in a 14 slim because my son wears gap chino pants for school and the 12 slim in those were getting a bit short. The 14 slim ... were huge and very, very long. I exchanged for a 12 slim and they are still pretty long - but he likes them that way. So, don't compare size to the gap chinos. But these are super great ... Great price and really "cool" on. Perfect for 11-year old boys! The slim are great for skinny guys and even at 11 I still have to love the adjustable waist bands - we can't live without those.

I discovered Gap ... my son a couple of sizes ago. He is very slim, so ... adjustable waist is a must. These ... relaxed fit on him and he looks great. Cords are next!

Great fit for slim boys!
It's nearly impossible to find a great fit for slim boys. No stores in town carry a 16 slim for my 13 year old son. I was very happy to find these online and even happier that they're such a great fit. And he loves them too - despite being a picky teenager.

Great ...
Thank goodness Gap offers slim fitting ... boys that are long enough! Even in slim 16 we still have to use the adjustable waist band. Just wish they were availble in the stores - tired of waiting over a week or two for them to arrive.

perfect fit!
These ... perfect fit for my 10 year old who is tall and slim. The length is perfect and the adjustable waist and trim fit allow the ... fit nicely--not too big or too tight. I have purchased this style ... past 4 years...just buying bigger sizes as needed and I will continue to do so. Thank you for carrying slim sizes for youth!

Great ... slim ...
I bought two pairs 10 Slim and 12 Slim for my tall, slim 10 year old ... Both fit great in the waist and thigh, however 12 slim is only about 1/2 inch longer then 10 slim . GAP- please make sure to get your measurements corrected; most kids that age grow faster then 1/2 inch per year ! We love your slim line and hope you correct the problem with the length.

Disappointed
I did not receive the size ordered for one of my sons. I specifically needed to order online because 12 slim is not sold in Gap stores. For my other son, I ordered 8 slim and received two ... size on the tag but one was five inches longer. Very disappointed with my first online purchase of GAP; so it will be my last. Unfortunately, I also won't be purchasing at the store until they 12 slim is made available there.

Strange
These seem to fit more like a "skinny" ... my opinion... They seemed strange. My son was not happy with the "fit" of these ... I've always bought the Loose fit, since they seem to help "bulk" up his incredibly thin frame (purchased in a slim waist of course)- We were hoping to get a pair of ... different color/wash this year, so figured I'd give these a try. They didn't work for us, so we will have to return. The finish wasn't even that exciting.. just a basic pair of straight leg ... My perfect pair of denim for my 10 year old son, would be Loose Fit- Slim sized, distressed/ dark denim... but I cant seem to find that out there.. ARGH!!!

Loose Fit ...
My son is in a size 8 original and straight fit Gap ... Size 8 loose fit were WAY TOO LOOSE. I tried the 8 Slim in the Loose fit and they were perfect.

Loved the ... They're actually for my son...he's slim but tall, so I really like the adjustable waist feature. The length is perfect too!

These fit my very slim nicely. Not too baggy, but comfortable so that he can move around. Also, easy slide to get them on and off. Will order more. We love Gap ...

Inconsistent Sizing
First, Thank you, Gap, for having ... boys' sizes up to 18! I just wish you carried them in your stores. I ordered 2 of these in 18 slim for my son who is tall and slim but not big enough yet for waist/inseam sized pants. The sizing chart said that the waist would be 27" and the length would fit up to 5'7". The length was as expected--my son is about 5'5-6" and there is enough length to last him for a while. However one pair came in with a 27" waist and the other pair came in with a 28" waist. He tried both on and when one was too big, I measured their waists. The one that fit was exactly 27" as expected. The other, which is marked 18 slim, measured 28" and is too loose for him to wear so has to be sent back. This is a lack of quality control. (There was no "inspected by" number in the pocket, either!) I will exchange for another pair, but an only hope that the next pair they send will be cut properly. He loves the style, though, and wears the one that fits all the time.

weird sizing?
my twin boys love gap ... they need a slim fit as they are skinny. however, they are getting too big for their 7 ... (waist & length), and the 8 ... were way too big! i returned them. i had to switch to levis 514 size 8 ... since we appear to be inbetween sizes.

... NOT for slim kid
Bought these for my tall & slim son, but the LOOSE style not good for long & lean boys. Even with the adjustable waist, the slim size version of these ... has a waist that's much too large. We also ordered the ORIGINAL style ... those worked perfectly for slim size.

Boys Slim Size 16 Loose ...
My son had outgrown his size 14 slim ... purchased from Gap last year. When we received the Size 16, they were the same exact length as the ones he had outgrown. I was very disappointed in the cut.

My son got original ... which fit without adjusting the waste and then put these on and they practically fell to the floor. I pulled in the waist, but they were still really big. I know the name is "loose" but these were giant. My son is borderline slim so if you have a bigger kid they might be fine.

Enormous!!! Slim size is not slim
My son wears original ... slim size and I love them. Tried the "loose fit" in slim size to see how they were. Umm..ridiculous. They were 2" longer than the same size in original, the waist and hips were several inches bigger and they were overall just enormous. What a waste time ordering these was....if you have a slim size kid, don't bother.

Great fit for slim boys!
It's so hard to find a great fit for slim boys. These ... look great and are the only ones I can find that don't look like my 13 year old son is wearing a huge balloon when the waist is cinched in. He's about 5' 3" and 90 something pounds and the sixteen slims fit perfect! They're a great price and he likes the style too!

I love slim fit ...
I love the slim fit ... my son. I've made the mistake of buying regular sized pants before and they're just too big. I will say that these ... seem much longer than his last pair. Last year the size 5 fit perfectly, and this year the size 6 seems more like a 7 or 8 in length. Oh well, he can always roll them up.

Best ...
I buy my sons these ... every year! They hold up well to rough wear and tear and countless washings. The slims are the best fit we've found for tall, slim boys.

Best ... my son!
I always have trouble finding ... fit my son correctly because he is average height for his age but extremely slim. I ordered the slims for him and they fit great in the waist, the legs were not huge, and the length was perfect!

These ... great. The slim is a must for my boys as well as the adjustable waist. I'm so glad I can still find that in a 14 slim!

Finally, a 12 slim!
The hunt for the 12 slim has been a long one. I couldn't find any at the store and only found one 12 slim online. This was it. Just the fact that it fit makes me jump for joy and love this product. Aside from the size, the fit of the Original ... isn't too baggy, skinny or obnoxious. The pockets are the appropriate size and don't go half way down the thigh. I also like the color. These are great pants and I will keep my fingers crossed that they will continue to be made in slim sizes.

Like the fit but never in stock
My son likes the fit of these ... him being skinny and having the adjustable waist band keeps us coming back for more. Now we have to size up to a 14 slim, and they never have them in stock. Not in the store or on line. What I find funny is they have husky sizes in the store but not slim. More husky people these days? Anyway, if these don't come back in stock soon we will be forced to shop elsewhere.

Great fit
My 12 yr old son has grown up wearing original Gap slim ... They always fit well and don't look baggy around the hips. The ... wear well after many washings. My son loves them.

More skinny than original
I purchased the 12 regular and the 12 slim for my son. He usually takes a slim, so I anticipated the slim would fit better than the regular. As expected, the regular was way too big in the waist. And while the slim was a better fit in the waist, they were also much slimmer in the legs. My son doesn't like fitted ... he felt the were too much like skinny ... so we returned them. I purchased the loose fit in the slim instead and they fit him well and he is much happier with the fit.

Just too big
I bought these 'slim' ... my son. He will be 7 in a matter of weeks. His size 6 ... getting too short on him. I ordered a slim b/c he is extremely skinny. Well these ... not big but GIGANTIC on him. Even with the adjustable waist. Just absolutely way too big. They're going back ... :(

My son loves these ... material is soft for denim and slightly thinner so they are super comfortable. He is tall and thin- the 12 slim fit great (still need to adjust the waist). He lives in these. I only bought two pairs and probably need to get a few more!

My son loves his carpenter ... his second GAP pair. They look and fit great. My son is 6 and I bought him the 7. They are a little big, possibly could have used a 7 slim (he is tall and skinny), but I know he will fit into them soon!

Great ... my grandson loves them because they are in style and comfy!
I love these ... They are not stiff like alot of ... don't come with holes in them. They have worn marks in the ... (faded knees and such), they are my grandson's favorite!!! They only thing I can say negative with them is they are hard to get sizes. Hopefully, Gap doesn't discontinue these, I had Gap charge send two pairs from different stores. My grandson is definitely not a skinny jean kind of guy. He wears alot of Gap thermals and sweatshirts that these ... look great with. All his Gap baggy plaid shirts with color tees under them also look great with these carpenter jean!!!

Husky!
These ... best fit for my "husky" sized ... It's near impossible to find ... fit him... and even more rare to find ... fit AND are fashionable. To top it all off, these ... (up to the size 8 Husky only) have a hook (disguised as a button) so that my little man can actually use the boys room and do himself up afterwards! We originally ordered the 10 husky (planning to shorten them) thinking that's the size he would need. Luckily, those were too big. Starting at the 10H, the pants have a regular button close instead of the hidden hook on the smaller sizes. The buttonhole on these ... ordered 7 pair, so it wasn't just a fluke) is too small, making it quite a challenge for me to button and unbutton them... and impossible for an 8 year old ... (especially one that is squirming trying not to wet himself as he struggles with the button). Great ... wish the hook close was on larger sizes as well.

POOR Quality
Gap is really not making durable jeans anymore. Purchased these ... 12 slim online (can't get 12 slim in stores). We have one other pair and like the fit, length, and ability to tighten up the waist for a tall thin ... Have worn and washed the ... twice and the entire adjustable waist tab (elastic) has ripped through the entire length of the tab. So we cannot tighten the adjustable tab at all and the ... can't be worn. tried to order another pair, but 12 slims are out of stock. These ... not durable!!

Too BIG!
I only buy my 12 yr Gap pants and he is a slim size 14. This pant was ugly and very slouchy. I think it is just made to fit big and baggy. Returned it the next day, I do not understand how it was a slim and still fitted for a husky person :/

Poor Durability--rips at crotch stated in multiple reviews
My 5-year old son has had these ... less than a month, but in that time they have become his favorite pair. Unfortunately, they ripped at the crotch next to and below the zipper area, and the jean material is fraying too much to repair. I logged into my account today to see which pair I ordered so I could get an identical one, but have seen too many reviews re: ripping, and several specifically at the crotch area, for me to think I own a rare, defective pair. How unfortunate.

WORST ... HAVE EVER BOUGHT!
MY POOR 8 YR OLD SON JUST CAME HOME FROM SCHOOL WITH A GIANT RIP DOWN THE FRONT OF HIS ... Unique Customer
I purchase these ... my teenage son who is very disabled. He sits in a wheelchair, has a g tube, has a medical device implanted in his abdomen, and wears diapers. Despite all that, these ... very easy to get on him and allow him plenty of room for comfort. I love that he can have a little style and wear ... like other teenage boys.

my tall, thin 10-year old loves these
My son wears these almost every day. Comfortable, durable, nice looking, wear well. And because he is thin and tall, we get the "slim" version--we can buy for length and he can draw in the elastic as needed at the waist. I was washing two or three pairs in the last size, but this time went ahead and got him five pairs. Hopefully he won't outgrow them in a few months!

Great ...
I bought the 12 slim for my son and they fit great. He usually only wears athletic pants because he thinks ... tight and uncomfortable. But he loves these ... - he actually asked for a second pair.

Good for certain builds
I ordered two pair of these ... - one for an average build kiddo and one for a boys who has a sturdier buiild but who isn't thick enough to wear husky ... definitely be ordering more for the latter child because they fit him amazingly well. I also ordered some straight fit for child number one; while the straight fit was perfect for him, the loose fit fell off even with the adjustable waist tightened up completely. The loose fit was way too loose for him, so those will be going back, while the loose fit is perfect for my in between build son.

Seems that quality control is slipping.
My kids have worn GAP since they were born and until recently things seemed pretty true to size. In the last year it seems like they might be cutting fabric free hand. We ordered four pair of these ... same size for my 10 year old who just wants multiples of the one thing he likes. The ... were vastly different in size. One had a rise difference of at least two inches from the others. Two of them had legs that were about three inches narrower in the thighs. All of them varied in length by as much as four inches. This variance is ridiculous. The ones that are the right size are great for active boys that are hard on clothes.

My twins are healthy eaters and are not fat like most children in the U.S. which these ... see to be made for the masses. Sorry, but I must return them. The slim ... weren't long enough, must return for a different size.

Size 16 Slim Boys Loose ...
I ordered 4 pairs of this colorway for my son in a size 16 Slim. After receiving in two separate orders, I found that all four pairs varied significantly in length by over three inches! Some were cut in the same length as the size 14 ... replacing from last year that my son had outgrown. Very disappointed!

Crazy Long!
Not sure what to do about these ... Both of my boys have worn Old Navy and GAP ... since they could walk, but this year they are totally a bad fit! Each year they tend to go up one size, so I ordered one size up for them again, (they had grown out of the size last year) but when these arrived they were both about 6 inches TOO LONG! Makes no sense to me and I'm not sure what the answer from here is!
