The "tall" option for these ... affordable option in a current style for tall girls (I am 5' 10" and they are the perfect length). They also fit well. I am contemplating buying the black skinnies next...

Great weekend ...
Last time I bought size 0 ... skinny's and they were gigantic. When Gap redid their 1969 ... they made all their sizes go up one. I used to fit their 0's perfectly, but now I have to wear 00's. The 00's fit fine at the waist but since these deconstructed are non strech they don't fit my butt nicely, or maybe I just have a small butt. Petite 00 ... fit perfectly to me - I'm 5'0 and 105lbs so I'd rec ordering a size down if you're usually a certain size.

Love these destructed jeans...but the "knee hole" is growing! :(
I love the look of the ... material is very comfy and washes well, but I'm dissapointed in the destructed part. On all of the models, website and magazine advertisements Gap shows this ... have various destructed parts, which I do understand they cannot all be the same, but none of these desctructed parts are right at the knee level. However, all of the destructed washes in the stores I've seen have the destruced "hole in the knee" RIGHT where your knee bends, so everytime I bend over or crouch down I either have to hike the knee hole up or else I hear a "rip!" when I bend my leg! I understand that desctructed does mean there are rips in the ... having a rip at the knee level would be more "wear accurate". Still for paying this much for a pair that will have a gaping hole in it in a few months isn't quite what I was looking for. I still wear the ... love the comfort and feel of them but I do not like this design flaw. I tried the regular always skinnys but they don't fit the same as these.

"Waisted" Effort
These jeans have nice color and distressing. If the fit were better, I could love them. They are cut such that the waist is proportionally much smaller than the thighs, and you have to be shaped that way for the jeans to fit like the picture. I usually wear a 6 in Gap jeans, but I heeded the reviews and got an 8. That turned out to be perfect for my waist and too roomy for my thighs, making these jeans not skinny jeans at all. In fact, I purchased two pairs at the same time and needed two different sizes to fit exactly the same in the waist: the Real Straight in a 6 is the same as the Always Skinny in an 8. And the leg length was also different, as I got the Real Straight in a petite and the Always Skinny in a regular length (I'm 5'4"). I've concluded that the Real Straight is actually closer to a true "skinny ... fit for me and looks better with knee high boots. I wish Gap hadn't taken in the waist so much on the Always Skinny; lots of skinny ... styles look great with a normal cut or roomy waist to balance the tight legs. Thus, these ... just "eh."
