A soft, versatile, comfortable piece that holds it color and shape no matter how many times you wear it.... and at a nice price. This is what keeps my husband and I coming back year after year for our staples. My husband loves using the deep V (and crew necks) underneath his collared ... fun pop of color, and because the fabric just feels so good. When he does wear the deep V on it's own it looks edgy without being sleazy. When I ordered a deep V for him online to try on for the first time, I was nervous that the V would be too deep and tacky. Thankfully, this shirt still covers his pecs while letting him expose a small amount of collarbone. I like it. ;-)

Beautiful ...
These ... great! The material is extra soft and feels extremely comfortable. The "deep" V is not that deep actually if you were worried about that. And it isn't wide either, so it doesn't reveal too much of the chest. I love Gap's v necks, and I'll probably never wear another shirt again. I got plenty of colors to cycle through.

EVERY COLOR!
I'm post partum, so regular women's ... not working & just fit irregular, I bought this shirt in every color! They fit super! I bought all Men's size XL, i'm a full chest size 46", these ... perfect V & arm length, more colors Gap?! lol

I love these shirts
These shirts are great! I am 6'1 and pretty fit but I have a long torso. Most shirts are made extremely wide when you get into XL sizes. Not so with GAP. The Large tall and XL tall fits perfectly, and I don't look like I am swimming in the shirt anymore. I own 9 of these shirts in various colors. My only complaint is that they don't carry tall sizes in stores. If you are a tall person and you need clothes with more length but not necessarily more width......TRY THESE SHIRTS!

American Apparel eat your heart out!
I just bought 7 of these badboys to replace my American Apparel v neck collection! I am 6 foot 1 and weigh 165lbs. In AA, i was wearing a size XL because their Large size was too tight and too short. Now that gap has this "deep" version- even though its only like a regular v neck version of the AA shirts, it comes in Large Tall; which is the PERFECT size/fit!! I am glad these aren't as deep as the AA's Deep version... Because those are just over the deep end.

great tee!
i'm a tall girl and sometimes the women's tees are too short, even the tall ones. i ordered this in a M Tall and it is the most comfortable tee shirt ever. i'm sure guys love it, but it's great for ladies too. can gap PLEASE make the same thing for women? or just keep making this forever... in different colors... i bought every color and 2 of them just to make sure that i won't run out for awhile.

Simply Perfect! These are better than BR''s soft wash tees!
I have to say I usually only shop at BR but I happened to come up on these in store and lets just say they fit amazing I really hope gap doesn't change a thing about these shirts. To start off with they are the perfect length compared to BR's tees which are notoriously short and wide. And they are very slim fitting which is another major plus because they make your silhouette look very good with a pair of skinny jeans. The depth of the v is spot on its not outrageously deep like that of [...], but yet is not a small v either. Also these shirts wash amazing which in all honesty in not used to saying for most of BR's products, the neck doesn't loose its shape nor does it shrink up in length. These are vastly superior even to BR's new soft wash tees.

Loved the fit. It is more European and I wish more ... were like that for the thin fit guys. I expected the shirt to be shorter than I like. I was but it was expected.

As expected.
I just received my shirts today in the mail, so I can't speak to the durability or overall quality of these shirts. I did want to put in my 2 cents about the sizing. I like the look of these shirts and the colors. A previous reviewer stated that the tall sizes were really long. I decided to go with these anyway. He was right; these are super long. I am 6'4, 210 lbs. these were well below my waist line. Normally, I think I'd return them. However, I also wear my pants pretty baggy, so these are a nice fit to my wardrobe to replace some of my baggier shirts. I also like the deep v neck. Another reviewer had also mentioned that the shirt was cut down to his nipples. This was not the case for me. The bottom of the V came to about at least 3-4 inches above my nipples. I didn't find it to be as low cut as a Jockey V neck undershirt, if that helps at all. I think I'd consider getting a couple more but in the regular large size, not the tall large that I purchased.

Good Deep V overall :)
I am thankful that Gap has tall sizes in shirts, since it is so hard for me to find shirts long enough. I'm 6 foot 7 inches tall and mostly all torso. This shirt is definatly long enough for me to tuck in, on days that I want to. Plus I love deep V's. This deep V definatly ranks high, just like American Apparel's deep V's.

What A Disappointment !
My FIRST Online Order with Gap / Banana Republic. My LAST ! The material is THIN ... like you would expect from a Swap Meet Tee. The ... were so short [like women's] that they didn't even go past my deltoid [shoulder]. A PROPERLY 'Cut' Tee should have mid biceps finish.I can't even get over the disappointment in nearly the ENTIRE Order ! CHEAP Quality ... that I would NEVER have expected from BR ...

Finally, GAP got its ... shirt right!
I think people are responding to this new Tee as a replacement to the Classic ... It's not in my opinion. The Classic ... much heavier weight (which has its pros and cons too -- try wearing that Tee to the gym.) This new 'Best ... replacing the previous generations of thin, more what I'll call 'fashion Ts' that had ... cut too short and necklines that would fall apart after 2 or 3 washes. The new 'Best ... nails all categories just right: perfect sleeve length, body length, chest and shoulder cut. And it holds up in the wash -- the necks are still perfect after an entire summer of wear still falling flat, not easily stretched and retaining their shape. Impressive to see GAP respond to this need -- I thought I was the only one who wished for a better constructed shirt. I'm surprised so many here are posting negative reviews.

Really good.
The old Gap Ts sucked. They were way too wide and way too short. The fabric stretched easily and the colors were lame. The NEW Gap ... shirts are perfect. They are cut just the way I am shaped and not too tight. They are made of different fabrics. For example, the black and grey are a little thicker and heavier, while the red and green are lighter. All the same, the seams are well made so that they neck doesn't stretch.

Fits good, but arms stick out
I am really confused with clothe designers inability to make short ... come down your arm and not stick out off your arm. It looks like the shirts don't fit properly when the ... stick out. I have to take all my shirts in to have them altered so they go down my arm and not out. I'm not talking about looking like I'm showing off muscle I mean just have the ... go down. It's so weird. These shirts will stick out. They are also slightly smaller then you'd expect, but more how they should be. They are not overly wide in the body and are extra long so you can wash and dry them and not worry about them shrinking up too much.

Girls Like Ts Too
I like wearing regular ... shirts, but don't like the short, just passed the shoulders length of "Women's" tees. So I look for Tees anywhere I can find them, even in the Men's. This is my first time buying Gap tees. I liked how they looked Unisex and the variety of colors to choose from. After I got them and tried them on for the first time. I loved how they felt so soft and thin, but not fragile. I didn't like how the size fitted because it felt smaller than labeled. I heard Gap/Old Navy sizes aren't sized like most stores and tend to fit smaller than labeled. I tend to keep these, because they still fit good enough to be comfortable and not be 'tight", but "fitted". Plus, I look good in them!

Too Big. . .
You know how everyone complained that these shirts ran way too small and short? Well, GAP listened. . . only too well. Somewhere in the middle would be perfect!

Too small!
My husband normally wears an XL Tall from men's stores. This was our first Gap ... shirt purchase for him, and the shirt fit like a regular L; way too small and short for his 6'8" frame. So unfortunately, back it went. Very nice color, though!

White T''s fit is different
Be ware, the white T's fit is much shorter than the colors and the fabric is thicker. I like the grey, brown, and blue, but the white is very short and thicker.

completely underwhelmed
wow. Far from the perfect ... material is pretty thin and feels like it's a couple washes away from falling apart. I bought a couple different colors and I noticed the white's tend to be sized a bit smaller then the dark colors. Just very short and uncomfortable. XL is too big for me, but I kinda wish I tried it, because the whites feel like they are a bit undersized. I regret buying these T's, without a doubt. Not sure why Gap done away with their old line of T's. These ones are garbage. Total waste of money and I can't recommend these T's to anyone.

Bring Back the Classic Tee!
Serious downgrade in Quality. I have been buying Gap's ... shirts for 15 years. They were always the best. Not any more. These new crewneck T's are only good for wearing as an undershirt or lying around the house. The ... too short, the necks are too wide, the necks are much less sturdy, and overall the ... much cheaper quality than the Classic Tees which lasted for years. I used to wear the Classic Tees alone with nothing else. You'll look like a bum if you do that with these cheap shirts. They start falling apart after a few washes. Better off going and buying a 3 pack in the underwear section of a mall. I won't buy a ... shirt again from the gap unless they bring back the Classic Tee. Such a joke they claim they are new and improved. More like cheaper to make and higher profits, lower quality.

Does not hold its shape
First time you wear this shirt you will appreciate the fit and comfort. After washing it a single time it will lose its shape. The bottom and the ... start to appear wavy. Can only wear it under another shirt now but the problem is its a little short for that. Just a bum around home doing chores shirt now. Bought a few others from gap that were 95% cotton and 5% spandex and they are the best t's I've found for the money...wish they would bring them back.

Very Disappointed
Purchased four of the new crewneck ... Very disappointed, returned all four to my nearest GAP store. Weight of cotton was too flimsy. ... were too short and flared out, not a great look for a guy. Because these were advertised as new and improved I went ahead and purchased online which I do not usually do.[...]I am now very skeptical about ordering online from GAP.

Great Shirt
I love the crewnecks and v necks from Gap. Very comfortable and soft, and look great. About the sizing: I'm only 5' 9" but I have to buy the Large because otherwise they are too tight in the arms and chest (I'm short and stubby!); however, the large does end up being a bit too long on me. If you're skinnier - go with the medium, but if you're short and stocky, or taller - large it is!

Great
I just want you folks to know, I LOVE THE DEEP V ... Gap. I only wished that the size i need was sold in the stores. Here in Hawaii 2XL is really really needed. Im a very athletic guy that spends much time in the gym and so my upper body needs to fit a shirt. The material of these ... soooooo perfect, they are cool, light and breezy. It fits like a 50 dollar shirt. I plan on buying tons more of this style. GREAT price i truly cannot show my happiness for these. Thanks so much. Aloha.

BF Loves this shirt
My boyfriend is 6'3 210 lbs and loves this shirt. I ordered him a 1XLT and it fits very well, not too short at all. Good material.

Gotta give GAP their props
This is the first time I've written an online review lol, and I've been shopping and selling online regularly since 98'. But I'm a huge tee shirt buff and I have come to truly appreciate a good fitting and well made tee shirt. GAP nailed it and I have to give them their props. I have a very athletic build and I dont like ... fit too tight; nor do I like ... hide the hard work I put in the gym :). GAP is a great balance....the best fit I've gotten yet however is the new PIMA COTTON tee by Banana Republic. I'm not gonna even dry those bad boys they fit and look so great. They are the most affordable pima cotton tees on the market I've seen...too bad they r only in white. Ooops...I guess I'm doing the wrong review.

Nice Shirt
It's a great shirt, thin, soft feel and nice color selection. The tshirt is a little big though..I normally wear M but went for the S and I probably could have gotten by with an XS. My only real complaint though is that the shirt is too long. Granted, I'm relatively short, but this tee is longer than most others I own. Side note: always go with v neck.

Not so great...
Ladies, if you are shopping for your Big and Tall man...(emphasis on Big) than these ... probably a miss. My boyfriend wears them as undershirts due to the thin material. This is a great look but I have found that the ... don't truly hold up to my guys level of wear and tear. Holes have appeared in various parts of the torso area and seams have unraveled after only a few weeks. Then again I would never pay full price for this item, I've only purchased them on sale. And one other thing: if you have a larger midsection I would definitely, definitely opt for the Tall. I got my guy the 3x but realized afterwards that I would have preferred the 3xT to ensure that shrinkage would not prevent these from being wearable as a top shirt. They shrunk considerably length wise but at least they still accommodate my guys massive shoulders. I will say that he does get a lot of use out of them as undershirts though. The colors are nice and the material is soft. Just don't expect amazing quality.

too long
the regular XL is way too short so I went with the XL tall.. However, I'm 6' 4" and this shirt is still a little bit too long. It would be good for someone who is 6' 7" or taller.... I guess I'm stuck in between sizes.

Favorite maternity shirt - hands down!
I love these shirts! I literally purchased 3 striped (gray, purple & navy) and 3 solid (fuschia, white & black). I bought size L - I am 5'11 - the length on these was great for me. I found these to be so comfy and fit well from the beginning of my 2nd trimester and are still going strong at 37 weeks. I will probably wear these after baby is born for a little while too (until I lose some of the baby weight). I highly recommend these shirts! BUY SOME RIGHT NOW! :)

Perfect
I love this shirt so much.. It is so soft and comfy and is one of the only shirts that is long enough for my bump + long torso.

i love this shirt! it is super soft, not too think, not too thin and longer than other maternity shirts in length....this being important because i am nearly 6 ft. tall! on me, the ... little short, but i'm sure on anyone of average or even a little above average height the ... would be perfect! i ordered a medium...my pre pregnancy size in gap and the size is perfect! i love the amount of give the shirt has too, some, but not too much that it'll be stretched out. i'm going to order another one in a different color!

Perfect!
Exactly what I was looking for. A long sleeve, quality fabric, versatile top with some fit to it. Some people said the arms were too tight. I found them just right. I love that it is so comfy without making me feel frumpy. A must for the pregnancy wardrobe for cooler seasons.

Like I thought it would be
This shirt, like other non maternity supersoft shirts that I have, is really comfortable, made from quality materials. I'm only in my 2nd trimester, barely showing, but the length of this top makes it ideal for putting over my can't quite-button them prematernity pants. I think this should last me through the third trimester, but I'm hoping our weather is warm enough to wear short ... then instead!

Love these shirts
These shirts are a pregnancy MUST HAVE! I bought them to wear around the house but find myself wearing them everywhere. They are really soft too.

Love stripes
This shirt is very comfy. The left sleeve was a little short, but it was better after washing. I've worn it to work and for hanging around the house. I love the gray/white stripes because it can be worn with so much!

I first bought just one of these shirts back in December or so when I was in my second trimester. After receiving the first one, I went online and purchased 2 more in different colors. I am currently 36weeks and find myself always looking for one of these shirts when I go to get dressed in the morning! They are so soft and comfortable! I ordered my pre pregnancy size and they still fit perfectly after many washes. My ONLY complaint is that 2 of the shirts ended up with holes in the armpits after one or two wears, but I stitched them up and they have been fine since!

Disappointed
Cute shirt, but the first time I washed it, the stitching on the sleeve started to unravel. Not the GAP quality that I was expecting.

Great little girls polo!!! My daughter loves this ... only polo that she feels comfortable in and is long enough to stay tucked in during a busy day. My daughter is young, so as with others, we do not have a bra to hide or issues with sheerness. Love the fabric! The fit is narrow like many today, so definitely order up if your dtr is nearing the end of the size bracket, otherwise fits true to size! My dtr loves the "pretty" sleeve, and so do I. It's hard to find nice quality AND nice looking uniform ... girls. GO GAP!!!!!

Love Gap''s girl uniform ...
I love these ... They are the reason why i'm online now. The closest Gap to my house is the outlet and they stopped selling uniforms after2009/2010 school year. I was so hurt! For those of you who may be confused about buying one of these ... please buy one. The capped sleeve is what makes it a GIRLS uniform ... definitely adds a feminine touch. The length is not a problem because it will shrink a little once you wash and dry it and aren't your kids still growing anyway? They're durable, comfortable and will last the whole school year and more.

A polo w/a feminine twist
My girls wear uniforms to school & this year I purchased our white polo ... Gap! Love the feminine detail in the sleeve & the softness of the fabric. I also appreciate that these are long as we had an issue with our ... shrinking up too short last year & being unable to tuck in when my oldest wore pants.

Only ... my daughter will wear!
When I saw that these uniform ... went on sale, I went crazy and bought 6 in white. Gap uniform ... only uniform ... my daughter will wear. Normally I wouldn't buy so many but a sale is a sale and her size always sells out. These ... durable and clean easily. Gap uniform shorts are great too.

my daughter really like the polo ... got her. I got some from othe stores and she just don't like them, she would rather wear the gap polo, I wish I can get them in blue long sleeve. For the winter.

New Doesn''t Mean Good
When shopping online for my granddaughter's school unforms; I was impressed with the new cute style of the pique polo top. I ordered her "usual" size, a Girl's Regular 8; even going by the GAP SIZE CHART on the web site and; when the shipment was recieved and I opened package and saw it, I knew immediately that it was cut too small ; especially through the chest. I would suggest that you order this top either a couple sizes up , or even better; order it in a PLUS SIZE . I do like the "feel" (texture) of the fabric and think the short ruffily ... cute.

Short Sleave Polo
I always make GAP my first stop when it comes to my daughter's clothing. The quality of the polo ... good, but the fit could use some adjusting. These ... not true to size. My daughter usually fits mediums, but this year I had to go with a large, and it's still too fitted. She's not a chunky girl by any means, but she's also not a petite toothpick. It's getting cold out, she wants long ... but I don't want to have to go with XL for wiggle room, and then have the ... too long. Why aren't long sleeve polos available in stores, and why are there usually limited colors of short ... (red, white, black)? A lot of schools have gone with light blue. I don't really care for shopping online, because I like to try on before I buy. More of your uniform products should be available at the malls. Uniforms are becoming more popular among public schools which could generate revenue for your company. Schools might designate parents to go to the GAP instead of a uniform shop with cheaply made clothes. This could boost your sales during the school year.

Please make "talls" for kids in tops!
Our school requires uniform polo's to be tucked in at all times. We love the Gap polo's, except that they are already somewhat short and shrink up after washing. My daughter refuses to wear them, so now I'm looking for a new polo for the 2010/11 school year. She is tall and slim, so Plus sizes would swim on her. Please make Tall's in tops for kids! We already buy the slims on pants, but they are too short too.

My daughter refused these based on the gathers on the cap sleeve. Same thing for the Old Navy version (is it the same ... Very disappointing.

Length short
Bummer! I ordered a slew of these and DD won't wear them. She likes her ... long and these just weren't long enough. She liked the Old Navy ... better - good for me they were half the price! I went to order more Old Navy ... but they are all sold out! We buy Gap ... all the time and they are long enough, but these uniform ... weren't a fav.

POOR QUALITY POLO ...
MATERIAL IS OK. BUT THE ... BOXY AND SHORT. CAN'T TUCK ... REQUIRED BY SCHOOL. TWO WERE PURCHASED A WHITE AND BLUE. THE BLUE WAS DAMAGED AT THE COLLAR. GAP QUALITY IS POOR NOT WHAT IS USED TO BE YEARS AGO. THESE WILL BE RETURNED FOR A REFUND.
