Sizes are random
I had been waiting for months to buy these new ... every week I was going into my local Gap for the sales person to say "we will get a shipment in next week". Finally I decided to just purchase online [...] since the 1969 loose seemed to be available. Well the months of waiting was all for not. These ... have been the biggest let down. I ordered 3 pairs of these ... only one of them ... yet all of them were the same size. What is the difference you might ask? The difference is that they are manufactured in different countries. Two of the ... were manufactured in China and one was made in Guatemala. The ... made in China were too small all around. They were tight enough in the waist that I knew if I washed them once they would be too tight to wear. The length also was a full inch shorter than I would have liked or that my other older Gap ... one pair that was made in Guatemala, well those ... were almost too big. I figure a couple of washes they will be perfect. I am planning on returning the two pairs of ... made in China and keeping one one pair that fits. I do think it's disappointing that you can't buy ... consistent anymore. For as much money as Gap put into this new ... campaign I would think that they would have locked down some of the basics like making sure sizes are what they say they are. "America's best ... Well, you are only 1/3 right Gap. FAIL!

GAP ... aint the same size anymore
i've been wearing the same size and style of GAP ... years and could always order without worring about fit. went to the store but didn't have the loose fit in stock so ordered on line. the waist fit fine but the leg was too sort and uncomfortale. held the new pair og ... next to my old pair of loose fit and they were about 1/2 in. shorter. i think this is a cost cutting measure by the GAP, but they just lost a valued customer.

Change of design and fabric is unforunate
Sadly my old favorite relaxed fitting comfortable jeans are no longer. The change in design may be trendy and hip, but what about those of us who liked the confort of our old friendly jeans. While the lower rise ... may be popular, those of us who have been wearing jeans since 1969 would appreciate being able to get what we have loved for years. If I hold the new design up to a pair of my old ... smaller size, they match up in waiste size where they should be bigger and they're smaller through the butt and shorter in rise. Additionally the new fabric will no longer stand up to years of wear and what happened to the double stitched inseam?!! Design has gone down the tubes and the quality of material went right with it. Blah.... no more GAP ... me!

Nice, comfortable ...
I have tried the Gap khakis and found them to be a bit snugger ... than I like. So I decided to try the ... loose ... Based on my previous Gap khaki experience, they were certainly a lot looser than I expected. However, I still really liked them (I can't stand anything too snug -- skinny ... my nightmare!) and decided to keep them. The denim feels really nice, and I think they are more flattering than other ... own. I've always worn Levi, but after buying these and a pair of the Relaxed ... might be a Gap convert. Also, I am eternally thankfull that they offer short inseams.

What I was looking for
They ... my hubby great. He's 6'4". After purchasing Levi's that were too tight (same size 34x36) and too short and shrunk...we looked for a more relaxed ... he likes his ... loose rather than tight. These were perfect. I was worried about everyone's rating that they are just HUGE...but in all actuality they ... him perfectly. He is a 33x36 or a 34x36 if he wants the ... relaxed...and with his ... he does. So thankyou - a pair of ... finally ... Note - the pockets do come distressed a little - it's hard to tell, but we thought it might be a defect until we closely looked at the picture and the hemming is the same way.

My husband''s favorite ...
We've been buying these loose ... several years, as they are pretty much the only ... my husband will wear. He has to dress up for work, but he always has a couple pairs of these ... weekends and going out after work. When they wear out, we buy more. He loves the relaxed ... they look great on him! He wears 34x32s, and they ... true to size.

great ...
My only complaint is the tint in person compared to whats being shown on the website. I'm not sure if the photos online are photoshopped with the colors being manipulated but the tint wasn't near what it was in person. The overall picture of the ... MUCH darker in person. I like the tint better in person anyhow so I can live with it but there needs to be eXtra special attention to the pictures online so customers know exactly what tint they are getting, especially when it comes to ... think when ordering ... customers are attracted first by the tint of the ... so this issue is very important. I've always had a somewhat athletic build and thighs are an issue for me. These ... great for that without having to sacrifice a ... relaxed look. It's a loose look, but not over done to where you might need a overly loose tee to go with it. I would say they are between Standard and a Straight ... fall right between those. They are just nice loose ... improve- when it comes to the overall look of the website, go ahead an manipulate colors and photos of models but when dealing with the actual pictures, models, and descriptions of whats being sold- leave those alone to " as is" so we as customers know what we will be getting. Good lighting is great, but do not manipulate the pictures in any way.

New Pattern Is Right On!
Got last years cut which I hated. I found them too skinny and had ugly yellow decorative stitching on the back pocket. The new pattern is MUCH better. A lot closer to the standard ... Gap used to make a while back which I loved. The ... more relaxed but not baggy, has a wider leg opening which I think breaks better, has plain pockets, has a discreet leather 1969 patch. The demin is thin but feels high quality. I love the simple, classic look of these ... would still suggest getting a size smaller than you usually wear in other brands. Gap sizing is always one size off for me but I just get a size smaller in the waist and it's not a problem. I bought two pairs of the dark demin and want the medium wash if the pattern is the same.

Not true to ...
I ordered a 31 waist, which should ... snug on me, as all other pants that size do, including BR pants. However, these ... feel more like a 32, and they even seem to expand downwards below the waist, giving them a really loose look. These are supposed to be straight, not relaxed, which is how they look. Also, the denim is really hard.

Bring back last years cut please!
I usually don't write reviews of clothes but in this case I felt I had to. The resin wash pattern from 2010-11 were perfect for people who wanted simple, comfortable ... don't make them look like a trendy teenager. I loved how the older ... did not have the yellow embellishment on the back pocket. I loved the somewhat more relaxed cut with the wider leg opening of the older ... 2012 pattern has changed ALOT. They ... more like the straight ... leg opening is narrower and seem to taper significantly. I know this is the current trend, but why mess with the Standard pattern when you already have Straight ... Skinny ... Also, I hate the stitching on the back pocket. They make the ... look like LEVIS knockoffs. I would much prefer the simple, clean and timeless look and ... older Standard ...
