Dear GAP: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make one of these with long sleeves too!
I LOVE this tee, so much so that after I bought it in charcoal originally, I ran out and got it in every color I could find in the store. Scoop necks are always super flattering on me (5'4"/size 6/C cup) and this one was perfect. The material is nice and heavy and doesn't feel cheap. They don't pill or fade in the wash. The only thing I noted was that it seemed pretty baggy in the waist, not as fitted as the pic, so I just sized down. Now that it's getting colder, I would LOVE to see this same exact shirt with the same neckline and just long or 3/4 length sleeves. I would buy every single color again!!!!

Awesome Tee!
I love love love this tee shirt! I am a size 18 and a DD bust and most ... big enough in chest fit like a tent around my mid section. This tee is slimming but not clingy. The Essentials Scoopneck tee is well made with just the right material thickness. I also love that this tee is longer than most. It just falls at the hips. I love this tee so much that I have ordered 4 more. Thanks GAP for making this Tee!

Great staple tee
This is a great tee. Not too sheer, doesn't cling, flattering neckline (scoop but not too low), and most important, it's long enough to cover my rear! I'll wear it around the house with sweatpants, or layer with sweaters and cardigans for out and-about. This tee will definitley get a lot of wear.

Love love love
Can wear casual, or pull it down just a bit and wear with heels for date night with hubby. This top is amazing and sexy- love so much. Gap PLEASE come out with more colors on scoop neck. Favorite tee material is highly superior to essential tee. The reviews on both speak for themselves!

PERFECT tee!
This is a great top. I am 5'1", curvy, athletic build, and ... bought this in a MEDIUM ... top isn't too low or too high, it's the perfect scoop - perfect for big chunky necklaces... Great under a cardigan or suit jacket for work. Or, perfect by itself with jeans. A must have to your wardrobe.

Great, cute under sweaters
I bought this because the scoop neck looks cute under sweaters and it didn't disappoint. I am 6'0", about 140 lb, and the tall medium fits great. This tee is not as long as the favorite tee, which disappoints me a little, but it is still long enough to be comfortable and not worry about showing skin. I bought a few different colors and they are all cute. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the white color is NOT sheer like white ... shirts can sometimes be.

finally, a great basic tee I''m happy with
I have been very happy with this tee so far. Material is not too thin, as tends to be the way ... shirts are made these days. According to size charts I am a size 10-12, so it is a bit of a gamble sometimes when I order tops, as they can be too small or too large depending on the company (even two of the same ... shirts can fit differently...). I ordered a medium tall as I often find that shirts are too short on me. I was quite please with the fit, definitely a longer ... shirt than others (I think I could have got away with ordering the medium). Overall very please. PLEASE MAKE MORE COLOURS!!!

My fav of all the Gap ... I''ve tried
Out of all the T's I've purchased from the Gap, this one is my favorite. The scoopneck is generous without showing too much cleavage. The sleeves...could be a bit longer, but still quite nice. Good quality fabric. Would love to see more (dark) colors for this tee. My only complaint is that the scoopneck is a bit wide so I need to check on occasion to make sure my bra straps aren't showing. With all Gap ... shirts, I find that the size regular is waaay too long for my frame so I always buy ...

Neckline is way too loose
I ordered the small and found the scoop to be far too wide cut and almost loose, which is a shame b/c the fit on the rest of the top is just right. I'm a ... 32DD so I'm always looking for just the right fit (not too-tight, not too baggy) across the chest in ... shirts. This tee is not so much cut too low as it is too wide. While I love the v neck, I'll try another brand for the scoop neck.

Please bring back orignal Favorite Tee!!!
Faithful Gap customer for years, love the Favorite Tee's...all styles and colors. Now Gap has changed this Tee or discontinued it to the Essential Tee. Not the same, much thinner material and looks shabby after a couple of wears and washing (gentle cycle). I know its only a ... shirt, but lets face it....Tee's are a important staple in your wardrobe! So GAP please reconsider and bring back the original Favorite ...

The fabric is super comfortable and though I am pretty ... XS was a decent fit.

The V neck is cut so perfectly that is not too deep or plunging and stays put nicely on my ... frame.

Best T shirt
Since the Favorite ... come in ... have finally found my perfect t shirt. The ... shirt is the perfect thickness, not sheer. Usually, v necks are too low cut on me; I am 5'1" and ... am tempted to buy one in every color. I wish the tee came in some bright colors for the season.

Nice tee!
This tee is a nice heavyweight cotton and it keeps it's shape. I'm ... would have liked to be able to get the shirt in XXS but the XS still fits well. A great tee to wear with just about anything!

Fantastic
I bought two in Black and Orange in an XS (5'3", 100lbs, 32C) only because the price was nearly cut in half when you factor in the discount code at the time. I was hoping the neck would be a little higher like in the picture and it was! I HATE super low v necks now that I'm in my mid 20s. I did order this in the regular size because I also hate short shirts. If you're on the taller side of ... regular should fit you fine. The orange was a little too much like a clementine so it went back, before I even opened it. The black did wash well, though it has only been washed once. I tried it on after the dryer (always set to low) and it still fits fine. I also want to add that I read a lot of reviews about it being "too thin!" but I think it's the perfect weight. It's not really thin and tissue like like ON ... but it's not that thick, heavy cotton like the hefty ... get free from charity events, runs, school, etc. It's a nice, every day tee that is thick enough to not show straps incredibly well, but also thin enough to wear under a sweater w/o looking bulky. I have since ordered it in the remaining colors. Hopefully this was "straight and to the point" enough. haha

Favorite Tee IS Essential Tee
I posted a review a few days ago on buying the black an orange, then coming back to buy the others. In case it didn't take, in short, I'm 5'3", 100 lbs, and a 32C and bought the XSR. I sent the orange back because it was literally clementine color. I love that these are all longer (regular fit or not, regulars are often still too short) and that the V isn't super low. I hate having my chest pop out of a tee shirt. One thing I noticed in the reviews from others wae that they were upset that they were sent the "Essential Tee." Both of the ones in the first order said Essential Tee but in the second order, two said Essential Tee, two said Favorite Tee, all fit EXACTLY THE SAME! It's literally the exact same tee shirt. And the shirt is amazing. I will agree that the white is a little loosely woven so it is fairly easy to see through but I have various tan/nude bras so one will do well enough, or a cardigan will go over it nicely. All of the colors (purple and blue included) are great. If you're very fair and very golden toned, I'd pass on the orange though.

Favorite v neck tee
Absolutely love this tee! I bought several of each color in ... fabric is nice and soft and the cut is perfect -- not too tight, not baggy. The weight is perfect and not opaque like other ... Even the white color isn't see through. The length is also perfect with room to shrink up after many washings. I wish Gap would make it in more colors, especially pastels for the warm weather months.

Didn''t hide my mommy gut.
Nice tee! But, it was to tight for my gut. I have 3 babies and a mom pooch I'm trying to hide. This tee was recomended by a friend as a loose tee, but it didn't work for me.

Nice casual tee
I got the shirt in L ... am a 34D. It fits much like the BR V neck tee, but it was 2 inches longer to start with (I liked the shorter length of BR shirt), but shrunk in the wash by ~1 inch, so at least I did not have to have it re hemmed. I think, it is a great value for the money. The fabric is not as good as the BR V neck, but it is as good as Splendid basic shirt. So, not bad overall. The cut is flattering, though I found the neckline to be a little too low (open) for my taste.

I buy this tee every year and the fabric gets thinner and thinner. The petites are still long, but ... medium is shorter than a regular small. I would pay more if the Gap would make these in a heavier cotton so the white is not so sheer.

Too snug through the tummy
Looks as if my search for the perfect tee shirt will continue! I am looking for a tee shirt that does not hug the tummy. This one was too snug in the tummy area. Last year I purchased two tee shirts from Banana Republic that fit perfectly. I have been searching for this fit and cannot find it.
