Advancing Women to Advance the World
P.A.C.E. is a program for the women who make our clothes.
Through P.A.C.E., women gain opportunities to advance in work and in life.
Gap Pace Program
Gap launched the P.A.C.E. program in 2007 in an effort to propel women forward who are working in the garment industry. Since its inception, the program has seen more than 30,000 women come through to gain work and life skills and become more financially literate. These women are empowered through the P.A.C.E. program and are able to contribute more at their work place and even be promoted more quickly.
P.A.C.E. Program Phases
Women who participate in the program go through two phases of training over two years. The first gives them a foundation and focuses on life skills like communication, time management and health. The second phase offers technical training and aligns with each woman's professional desires.
