Finally ...
These are great! I've suffered for years with ... bagged in the rear and in the legs, and tended to slip down my waist (I'm past the droopy drawer, exposed U trou age). Never thought to try Gap ... until I was visiting my daughter in SF, and she insisted I try on some 1969 ... Though I had to try several fits [not a complaint - it's great that Gap offers so many alternatives], the ... perfect for me. The slightly reduced rise, and intentional below the waist ... just what I wanted. So long to too much fabric in the butt and baggy legs. The ONLY problem is 29" inseam isn't available, and the 30" didn't shrink enough for my dwarfish 29" legs. Bottomline is: 1969 ... Forever!

Sharp ...
These ... great example of how straight ... should ... give just enough room in the thigh and stay ... down to the shoe. These ... being they are a dark wash are great for all occasions. They look great with a pair of loafers or sneakers. These ... very comfortable and ... look great.

Best ones yet
Out of all of the straight ... standard ... 1969 ... have owned and tried these are the best I have found so far. The ... perfect with a straight leg that's not too slim yet not too loose and a waist and rise that's just right. Waist and length are right on the money as far as the sizing goes, can't ask for much more. These are a great shade of dark blue and have a nice contrasting stitching color as well as inner denim color for cuffing. As with all dark blue Gap ... I've had in the past, I'm sure these will fade pretty quick, but until that time I'm going to enjoy them as much as I can.

The slim fitting jean I''ve been looking for!
Since I finally realized that it was time to retire my Gap boot cut ... began on a quest to find another Gap jean that had the slim ... boot cut paired with a nicely tapered leg. I tried the Gap Skinny ... but they were too skinny, and I tried the Gap Authentic ... but they were a bit too loose (I have an average build and wear 33W 32L). Had I realized that Gap ... were slim fitting, with a perfectly tapered leg, I would have bought them months ago. My only complaint is slight: whereas a 32" inseam is usually spot on for me, these ... were a bit longish. So, I cuff them and problem solved.

Modern Classic
I bought these jeans for my boyfriend because all of his jeans were relaxed with a lighter wash than I like. He is 6'6", 255lbs. It is hard to find modern looking clothing for a reasonable price. He said his ... 40 in the waist and 34L but I bought him a 42 for his waist and 34L just because the style is a slimmer fit. When he put them on they fit him like a glove! They were the right color, length ans most importantly size! They weren't too slim in the leg but they werent as box like or relaxed as his other ... They give him a long line on his leg which makes him look even taller. The pocket size was good too. As a side note; sometimes I notice mens ... pocket size in the behind are way too big. Anyway he can wear these ... date, out on the town with the boys or for casual friday. These are a modern classic and I will continue to purchase this style for him.

Great ...
These are great ... advertised, but the ... really a ... too fitted at the ankle (at least for my preference). I think the "authentic ... truer to the authentic jean look.

A Magic Cut.
I am a young professional and needed a suitable pair of ... wear for an evening out or to a work event. My criteria: dark and no "treatments" like crushing, brushing, dying, or fraying. These ... have the dark color, which makes them as professional as ... get, but the magic's in the cut. The ... cut of these beauties springs the eye right up your leg to a thigh that is appropriately wrapped in denim without being so tight they boarder on "skinny." [...] Amongst the looks and "[*]!" my favorite comment was "you look casual, but you're GQ casual." Exactly the look I was going for. One star deduction because the tallest inseam wan't tall enough; felt like it ran about an inch shorter than advertised.

2nd pair i bought
I was looking for slim straight leg ... weren't too baggy/loose but not "skinny" either and these work perfect. Im about 5'7", 150 lbs and usually wear a 30 length but bought a 28 inseam and its perfect since I like the ... "below the waist". The end of the ... hit just at my shoes . If the cuff opening was just maybe 0.5 to 1 inch smaller they'd be perfect. Overall a great slim, straight pair of ... fashionable without being skin tight.

i was a huge fan of Gap's low rise, ... jean, and i thought thats what these were, but these are their new 1969 ... don't think they ... nearly as well, not on me anyway. I miss the old style. Gap: bring them back!

this is straight leg, not straight fit.
bought this ... my husband because he wanted a dark denim. when we got this, we really like the color and material. simple yet classy. i was just a bit disappointed with the fitting. i was expecting a new version of STRAIGHT ... Gap since this is called STRAIGHT FIT, right? my husband also said that compared to his other Gap straight fit ... little loose. to be honest, we would like to give this 3.5 stars because the color is really nice and the ... not that bad.

Not a true straight fit
So I bought GAP straight and standard fit. As per the description, I was expecting the only difference to be the rise of the ... one being lower than the other. However, the straight fit ... way off. First, the rise is way too low. It looks like women's ... Second, the leg opening is tapered -- a good 3" in circumference smaller than the standard fit. Third, the leg is tight, and not straight at all. These ... feel more like a skinny fit (slightly roomier than spandex fit). These ... super skinny guy.
