The best jeans I have ever owned!
I bought these jeans (in both Vintage and Pale Blue washes) because I could get them with a 28" inseam. I have been buying my jeans from Old Navy since the late 90's and have always been able to find my 28 inchers (so long as I kept my waist size below 38") and for some odd reason, they stopped carrying that length altogether. So the hunt was on for my new brand of jeans. This was one of the brand names I first considered, but the price was so steep that it put me off to the brand. Then I figured out (after a couple of weeks of research) that the world seems to be conspiring against short people and that in this case, the phase "beggars can't be choosers" applies to me. So I bought these hoping they would at least be a good fit length wise, even if they might be a little snug (since I'm a bit of a pessimist). They honestly have turned out to be the most comfortable and flattering (so says my girlfriend) jeans I have ever owned. They aren’t snug at all, and not too loose either. They are just perfect. Do I like the price? No, I don't. I think a fair price for these jeans would be somewhere around the $40-$50 price range. But at least I have a place once again that I can find jeans in my size and that alone (to me at least) makes them worth their weight in gold. I think I've found the brand of ... I'll be wearing for the foreseeable future, assuming of course they continue to carry my inseam length. Thanks Gap!

I have large thighs and rear. These ... fit comfortably loose. May need to go a size down.

Too bad they stopped offering womens jeans in 100% cotton and we have to resort to buying mens.....

I have larger thighs and used to always wear Levi's silvertab baggy beacuse they fit well. They have stopped making them so I was looking for options. The GAP jeans fit the bill for a loose jean. I thought the price ([$]) was steep but I had a gift card to cut back on that.

Great Jeans for a tall guy...
Recently purchased a pale blue wash loose fit jean for my Marine son. They fit great. I was concerned about the length because he is 6'6" but the 36" length was perfect. Thank you GAP for making 36" length jeans. On a side note: WISH THERE WERE MORE SPECIALS ON JEANS......most coupon codes exclude . Thank you GAP for the free shipping......

Nice pair of ... but awkward fit
Contrary to some reviews, I found these ... up to Gap's usual quality. However, the fit is not for me. There is too much material in the crotch area making for a very awkward fit and this is more pronounced when sitting or walking.

Sizes are random
I had been waiting for months to buy these new jeans, and every week I was going into my local Gap for the sales person to say "we will get a shipment in next week". Finally I decided to just purchase online [...] since the 1969 loose seemed to be available. Well the months of waiting was all for not. These jeans have been the biggest let down. I ordered 3 pairs of these jeans and only one of them fit, yet all of them were the same size. What is the difference you might ask? The difference is that they are manufactured in different countries. Two of the jeans were manufactured in China and one was made in Guatemala. The jeans made in China were too small all around. They were tight enough in the waist that I knew if I washed them once they would be too tight to wear. The length also was a full inch shorter than I would have liked or that my other older Gap jeans are. As for the one pair that was made in Guatemala, well those jeans were almost too big. I figure a couple of washes they will be perfect. I am planning on returning the two pairs of jeans made in China and keeping one one pair that fits. I do think it's disappointing that you can't buy jeans that are consistent anymore. For as much money as Gap put into this new jean campaign I would think that they would have locked down some of the basics like making sure sizes are what they say they are. "America's best fitting jean"? Well, you are only 1/3 right Gap. FAIL!

GAP jeans aint the same size anymore
i've been wearing the same size and style of GAP jeans for years and could always order without worring about fit. went to the store but didn't have the loose fit in stock so ordered on line. the waist fit fine but the leg was too sort and uncomfortale. held the new pair og jeans next to my old pair of loose fit and they were about 1/2 in. shorter. i think this is a cost cutting measure by the GAP, but they just lost a valued customer.

My husband''s favorite ...
We've been buying these loose ... several years, as they are pretty much the only ... my husband will wear. He has to dress up for work, but he always has a couple pairs of these ... weekends and going out after work. When they wear out, we buy more. He loves the relaxed ... they look great on him! He wears 34x32s, and they ... true to size.

Phew!!
I ordered online for my very picky husband. He needed new ... so badly that we weren't even sure which size to go with (go one up to account for a few years???). I looked through all his old khakis that he said are tight and went one size up. I picked the wash that I thought looked the safest for his taste. These ... delivered in every way. Thank goodness loose fit still means loose fit. The color was nice and dark - they looked nice and new. The fit was just as expected, no scary surprises.

Nice, comfortable ...
I have tried the Gap khakis and found them to be a bit snugger fitting than I like. So I decided to try the ... loose ... Based on my previous Gap khaki experience, they were certainly a lot looser than I expected. However, I still really liked them (I can't stand anything too snug -- skinny ... my nightmare!) and decided to keep them. The denim feels really nice, and I think they are more flattering than other ... own. I've always worn Levi, but after buying these and a pair of the Relaxed ... might be a Gap convert. Also, I am eternally thankfull that they offer short inseams.

Bought these for my teenage son, who only likes loose fit, but is a 28 W, so those are hard to find. I think they look a bit too loose, but he loves them and finds them to be very comfortable. Also bought them in pale blue, and he really likes that color as well.

What I was looking for
They fit my hubby great. He's 6'4". After purchasing Levi's that were too tight (same size 34x36) and too short and shrunk...we looked for a more relaxed ... he likes his ... loose rather than tight. These were perfect. I was worried about everyone's rating that they are just HUGE...but in all actuality they ... him perfectly. He is a 33x36 or a 34x36 if he wants the ... relaxed...and with his ... he does. So thankyou - a pair of ... finally ... Note - the pockets do come distressed a little - it's hard to tell, but we thought it might be a defect until we closely looked at the picture and the hemming is the same way.

Love Gap Loose ...
These ... me perfect. Most comfortable I've ever owned. dont want to take them off. They did not shrink when washed, either. I have large legs so the legs being cut larger are great. The crotch is comfortable, the length is just right. Have purchased both the heavily washed and the darker wash versions. Are a bit more than I normally pay for ... but ... so great, they are worth the extra $$. Only regret is that the loose version does not come in colors like brown, black, green, etc. !!

I tried the ... store and was very impressesd with the ... style. I have since bought another pair of the vintage wash ... ordered online and was happy with the purchase. I just ordered the savannah wash as well wich were darker than the picture shows but they ... awesome. One thing that could use some attention is the pale blue wash ... pale blue wash seemed somewhat different from the vintage. I really hope to see more variety for color(wash) in the loose ... section, there are only three right now. Hope to see more!!!!

Great fitting ...
Due to my height, it's difficult to find pants that ... My search is over as these pants ... great. Stylish and comfortable, Gap Loose ... my choice going forward.

My only complaint is the tint in person compared to whats being shown on the website. I'm not sure if the photos online are photoshopped with the colors being manipulated but the tint wasn't near what it was in person. The overall picture of the ... MUCH darker in person. I like the tint better in person anyhow so I can live with it but there needs to be eXtra special attention to the pictures online so customers know exactly what tint they are getting, especially when it comes to ... think when ordering ... customers are attracted first by the tint of the ... so this issue is very important. I've always had a somewhat athletic build and thighs are an issue for me. These ... great for that without having to sacrifice a fitted, relaxed look. It's a loose look, but not over done to where you might need a overly loose tee to go with it. I would say they are between Standard and a Straight fit and I fall right between those. They are just nice loose ... improve- when it comes to the overall look of the website, go ahead an manipulate colors and photos of models but when dealing with the actual pictures, models, and descriptions of whats being sold- leave those alone to " as is" so we as customers know what we will be getting. Good lighting is great, but do not manipulate the pictures in any way.

Moderately Disappointed
I've had several pairs of these loose straight cut ... over the past fifteen years. I found my recent purchase to be moderately disappointing. The quality of the ... has dropped along with the lower rise and rear cuts. My biggest discovery is a dark square dye patch at the top of these ... next to the zipper on the right (as you look at them). I found this on every pair in the store (loose cut and several other types) as well as the pair I bought online. This may not be an issue for others, but I tuck in all my shirts and this caused me to return my purchase. I'll keep an eye out again in the future, but this time I had to go elsewhere for my ...
