Great ...
I must disagree with several of the other reviews that rated these ... badly. These are great ... they fit very well in all respects. I wear Levis 527 boot cut ... regularly and the Gap 1969's are better in all respects as far as I'm concerned. They are softer, the leg opening is the same size and as far as thinness, I would say the 1969's are about the same weight. If you want nice fitting, good looking ... then these are for you!

Good pair of ... but could be better
I like these new ... cut ... however they are a little tight around the calf areas which is why I gave this review a four stars.., GAP should have done a better job with the leg opening and widen them up a little..., and like what the other reviewer has expressed the fabric was too thin, sometimes it doesn't always help to sacrifice quality fabric in order to keep cost down in order to save money sometimes you have to spend money. overall these ... great.

This is my third pair of these jeans. I love the style and I love the wash. These are most definitely my go to jean! I would say my only gripe would be that the boot cut is not all that boot cut. I think another inch or so around the ankle would make these ... perfect. I always end up cutting the inseams to allow the fabric to cover a little bit of my shoe and to let the jean reach its full length rather than have it bunch up. I guess that's just how I do it. Over all, you could not ask for a better pair of ...

Great ...
I love GAP ... Their jean size runs a tad large (i should be a 34, but order 33's - makes me feel good though :-), but the size is consistent. I couldn't tell what style of ... currently have (it's not printed on them like the new ones) . So, from the description, I ordered boot cut ... They fit perfectly except for my scottish calves (to tight). I returned them to a store. I wanted to exchange (i bought on sale on line). Unable to do so :-( So, I got a refund and will wait till they go on sale again.

Big Improvement
Gap finally got their ... back to the way they used to be... for the cut at least. I started buying their ... back in '05. I'm vertically challenged so to find a 30/28 is next to impossible. But then something bad happened... their jean cuts were going downhill fast. It was so bad that in '09 when I bought a pair I put the ... fit sucked! I took a tape measure and found that the real cut was 31/31 when in fact I ordered 30/28. Anyway, I ordered this boot cut ... few months ago based on the reviews which were generally positive. Well, the cut is back to '05. It's excellent. However, I did give this 4 stars for a reason. The indigo blue is ok but I would prefer a darker color (they used to have an authentic vintage). But my biggest beef is with the lines/creases/whiskers that are all over these ... hate them. They're so fake and contrived. You can't even iron them out! I would rather achieve the real deal through regular wear and tear. If they could get rid of these 'lines' I would give five stars. And if you really want to bring '05 happiness back, put the cloth hooks back on the inside of the ... so I can have the ... hang dry from them after I washed them. Gap should know what I'm talking about and anybody who's bought their ... back then. Anyway, thanks for bringing quality back.

Internet only sizes
These ... were purchased for my tall, lean teenage son. These worked out well, but it is problematic that sizes such as 30 x 34 are available only on the website. ... really need to tried on. No two pairs are exactly the same. Luckily these worked out well. Nice finish and cut. The ... cit are quite slim. My son is 6' 1" and maybe 130 pounds and these are slim on him.

bad, bad stitching!
I'm writing to echo other reviewers who mourn the passing of the "plain rear pocket" ... bought a half dozen pairs of these ... between Dec. 2009 and Oct. 2011. They all looked and fit great, the size and hue (indigo wash) were surprisingly consistent, the price was right. I've been dreading the inevitable, when Gap's little elves change this most excellent style of ... Sure enough, the order I placed a few weeks ago arrived, and my beloved indigo boot fits have been revamped, with ugly stitching on the back pockets, a denim that seems less substantial, and a wash that is less indigo, more grey. All in all, these are still a great fit, but I'm very disappointed in these new flairs. Please, please bring back the old boot cut.

new style is way too tight
Just received new 2012 style boot cut 34x32 ... mail that I ordered 6 weeks ago. They are nothing like the ones I bought 2-3 years ago. They do not fit my thighs at all and I cannot even button them. They seem like they are two sizes too small, without even being washed. I tried on my old pair of Gap boot cut ... they fit perfectly so it's not me that's different. They are also noticeably thinner material. Back to the drawing board. Sorry Gap, I was hopeful but this isn't going to work.

1969 Boot Cut ... - indigo blue
I bought 2 pairs of 1969 boot cut ... one indigo blue and one blue black. The second pair is a pair of ... expected. The first pair is like a pair of leisure pants that look like ... They are insanely thin! I'm not sure how the Gap can differ so much in quality between the same brand, but different color. I'm very disappointed in the indigo pair.

Don''t Buy These Jeans...
I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't these. They are too tight in every place. The "boot" cut doesn't accommodate boots; it barely fits over a pair of loafers. I would recommend GAP's boot cut for anyone looking for traditional boot style pants. They are misleading you with the name of the cut.

Why call two products the same thing?
Not a fan of these. I've noticed that the Gap 1969 ... cut has progressively shrunk in rise, waist size, and overall fit over the last few years. It's now gotten to the point where it is unwearable. I've got ... three years ago that fit the same description as the pair I just purchased and the fit is completely different. I wish the description adequately conveyed this and feel it is misleading.

Great ...
Most ... jean are to baggy and saggy and I dont know why people still buy those they are not stylish and look awful. These ... truly exceptional. They are not tight, nor are they lose. The leg doesn't flare crazily but it does fit nicely over sneakers or loafers. Just really nice ... However they dont have many washes availible which is really really sad.

i love gap ...
i just love everything about these ... they seem to be just a little bit loose but that's because i've been wearing other stuff thats tight and not 100% cotton. i love mens ... especially around this time of year--if i wear spandex or stretch ... stretch over the holidays . mens ... 100% cotton and thats all i will wear now. i'm all done with womens ...

Good Fitting
Overall the ... fit pretty good, maybe a litle lose on the back but I guess is because I'm very slim. Is nice to see that Gap is going back to the ture fitting of the 1969 Collection, it will be nice if all the ... fit the same since lately not all ... cuts are having the same ...

I hope they bring back the old Gap ...
I noticed last year when Gap started selling ... just the white "1969" print on the back (instead of the leather label), the denim had been reduced to about 2/3rds the original thickness. This year it's about half. From what I've seen, this seems to be a trend with their t shirts as well (but since they're all on sale I assume they're being phased out to make way for something better). I asked an employee why the ... were so much thinner nowadays, and the answer she gave me was that it's to make them look distressed. It's unfortunate, because as a result they stretch easily and don't look nearly as solid as the old ones. Obviously Gap wants to make money so cutting costs makes sense, but I think over time lowering quality will hurt them more. Especially now that there are other brands like Uniqlo who sell quality clothes that are cheaper.
