Just like the Original Long & Lean
When the L&L ... were first introduced, ... were by far, the best fitting ... planet for my long legged, narrow hipped body. I wore the old ... everywhere and could dress them up/down with a change of shoe & a jacket. Then, for about 10+ years, ... derailed the fabric and cut so the L&L were a big miss on the ... (sagged/loose) & fabric (low quality/lighter denim). As a result, I've worn my very old L&Ls to the point of being ragged I'M SO PLEASED that ... back to the way the originally were. PERFECT ... better fabric then recent years. I've just ordered a second pair in the dark ... took advantage of a sale & bought another 2 pair in the medium ... Somebody at GAP finally paid attention to all those negative reviews. Hallelujah, the people have spoken and got what ... loved & wanted.

Great ...
I love the Long and Lean ... Gap. Although the ... style has changed a bit over the years, ... still continue to be the only ... buy. The dark ... best. The denim feels like a higher quality, thicker material than the medium ... length is PERFECT! I am 5'10", but have super long legs. I typically need a 36" inseam and the 37" inseam of the Long and Leans gives me an extra inch to wear heels. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Gap Long and Leans.

Amazing ... but go a size down
I am a true Gap ... fan! Over the years I've notice in certain rinses/washes I either have to go up or down a size. In the medium ... tint I'm a size 12 but in the dark ... tints I'm a size 14 HOWEVER the long and lean dark ... totally side swiped me!! When I tried them on they slipped right on, which is a no no for Gap ... should fit a little snug in the beginning and ... loosen up after 3-4 wears, depending on how often and how long I wear them. I called back and made my exchange immediately and my size 12's should be coming tomorrow. FYI - READ THE FABRIC CONTENTS!!! The more Lycra/Spandex the smaller the size you should order, GAP ... DO STRETCH. As far as the length goes I'm 5'11" and 3/4, round up to 6', and the length is perfect for me and the shoes I wear. I don't wear too many heels because my husband is 6'2" and I don't like to tower over him so I've found myself hemming the ... time to time so ... won't drag on the floor. Overall the ... hit for me and my lifestyle. I just wish ... sold the extra long lengths in the store, I hate waiting for my precious ... Thanks anyway Gap!

I agree with the more than one third of reviewers who say ... bigger than expected, but I'm not complaining. It's not every day that I get to place an exchange order for ... smaller size. But sizing aside, what I think is fantastic about ... cut: it accommodates both my, um, generous thighs and my small waist. It's almost impossible to find a pair of ... does that! I don't have thin legs (I wish), and it's a great relief to find a style that works for me. I also appreciate the medium rise; low rise ... make me feel too exposed. I'm 5'7", weigh in the 130s, and went with a size 2. Originally ordered the size 4, but the give in the fabric made me size down. Over the course of the day, the spandex does loosen the fit. I've ordered several pairs in the dark and monroe washes (the former is like a deep navy, the latter a brighter, almost royal blue), and I hope Gap keeps making this cut in this or a very similar fabric blend for many years to come. MY FAVORITE ... EVER!!
I have about 13 pairs of ... I've purchased over the last six years. I am SO DISAPPOINTED that the Gap is discontinuing them. I have just purchased the dark, and medium wash, two pair...my last. :( The are great for tall girls like me. I have such a hard time finding ... long enough in the rise and ... fit beautifuly! I LOVE THE GAP!! :)

My favorite ...
This is my third pair of ... love them. I have two pairs in the dark ... one in the medium. I need to get the other color. ... most flattering ... people always compliment me in them and think I've lost weight. ... truly make you look smaller.

Decent ...
I ordered 3pairs online because i got them on 30percent off & not all ... made equal. The back side has to much material & it bunches up even with a belt. The last pair ... like a glove. Im donating the other two since ive already worm them. Otherwise ... nice & I wish ... came in Black. I wish ... didnt discontinue the medium tint ... Also, not unless you are really fat - order a size down.

Try on a lot of pairs of ...
I've purchased three pairs of Long and Leans this past year and each pair is different. I have a pair in black (longer leg, tighter in the waist, heavier denim) and two pairs of this particular rinse. My first pair of this rinse felt stretchier and did not hold it's shape. ... shrunk even after ... gentle cycle and line drying (this happens to the majority of ... I've bought from Gap, BR, and ON). The fabric was thin and the rinse faded to a medium tint in a few months. ... were shorter than my other pair of the dark rinse and even shorter after ... shrunk in the ... So short that I could no longer wear them with heels and had to opt for flats or something with a small wedge. ... were very flattering for the first few hours of wear or if you remained standing. After that - watch out for saggy butt and stretched out knees! I still liked them because the shape is flattering. Sadly, after about 6 months ... were so worn out that ... were getting holes and I had to throw them out. A few months after I bought that pair I went back to the Gap to get another because I had a feeling the first pair wouldn't last. The second pair of Long and Leans in the same rinse, same size, and same length is like a totally different pair of pants. The fabric has less stretch and feels very thin . It drapes beautifully (like trousers) and holds it shape throughout the day. The inseam was much longer and I can only wear the second pair with heels. The rinse has not faded after repeated ... read another review on here about checking the labels to see where the ... were made because ... feel differently. I wish I compared the labels on all three of my L&Ls before throwing out the worn out pair. You DEFINITELY need to try on ... go to the store I actually grab several pairs of the same ... same size.

I really like ... because ... flattering, but ... do stretch out quickly. I'm planning to try a size smaller and see how it ... Note that the different tints do ... differently - I returned the medium tint.

Not the Same Long and Lean
I love the look of the long and lean ... very flattering.. I wear an 16L and was very disappointed when I received my ... found that they had changed the material. The denim is thin and seems cheap. The first pair I ordered 6 months ago there was a flaw with the zipper and they had to be returned within two weeks of purchase. The replacement pair is now in the trash. The material was so thin that they wore out in the inner thigh area. For [$] I would expect my ... last a few years like my old long and lean have. Three years ago I purchased a pair, made of the thicker material, which I can still wear today. The ... also stretch out very easily. As previously mentioned by the others the Dark wash seem to run smaller then the Medium tent (I purchased a pair of each at the same time). I am not sure GAP's thinking behind making ... such a thin material. Though I love ... cannot constitute spending this much money on a pair of ... know won't be a staple in my closet in one year. Sorry GAP but you need to switch back to the old fabric, before I will buy another pair of Long n Lean from you. I gave them Three Stars because the cut is still a great ... but not worth the price.

Darker is stiffer
I have another pair of ... medium wash. I love the fit, so I ordered them in the dark wash, same size. Why is it when you order a dark wash in ... they are so much stiffer? You have to wear them for a half a day before they start to "break in". The darker color also seems just a wee bit tighter because of this. This is the second time I have noticed this--I purchased the real straight ... medium and dark wash. I dread washing them because I know I have to go through the breaking in period again. Since I have a hard time finding ... long enough, I am keeping them. I just wish they were not as stiff.

I absolutely love these ... They fit perfectly too! I wish that they would come out with a medium tint, just a couple of shades lighter than the dark ones, but way darker than the light ones shown.

The best gap ... ever (for petites)
I love these ... They are so versatile. I really like the mid rise/two button fit. i don't like the low rise sexy boot as much because on a petite it makes your legs look shorter. This ... makes your legs look long for a petite and they are so flattering. I ddin't find the whiskering overdone like one of the reviewers that almost convinced me not to buy these (i hate exaggerated whiskering). The whiskering was very subtle. They also loosened up the thighs since their previous version of this 2-button mid rise boot cut jean--no more sausage effect. I love everything about the fit, the width of the opening, the fit of the hips/thighs & the rise. They are the most flattering ... ever for someone who is 5 ft tall. I do notice the ... material is thinner & thus cheaper looking up close. Please don't change these jeans--they are great. I am mostly a between a 00 and a 0, but I ordered a 0p because I think these ... run a tiny bit small after they are washed & dried. After washing/drying they fit perfectly, especially in the length. I always need a little dryer shrinkage to get ... fit in the length and these came out perfectly. For a 5 foot woman you do need to wear 2-2.5 inch heels or boots, but that's how i like to wear my ... anyway. I will buy a couple more pairs.

I really love these
I want to start of by saying I am surprised by all the reviews stating that these stretch out a lot and that they run too long. I purchased these in the store in my normal size 2 or 26. I wear 26 in almost all designer denim and these fit just as well. Like a glove actually. I have worn them one day and since I am at home with my kids I am bending and in squatting positions a lot and these did stretch some but not much at all. My $150+ ... stretch out more in one day. Also, I got the regular length and they are 33 inch inseam but did shrink at least a half inch in wash. The length is perfect for me being 5'6" and 125 pounds. I am leggy but never wear heels so these are good. I saw some reviewers state the length kept shrinking in wash. I hope that doesn't happen. Time will tell. I did notice that lint seems to be attracted to these (I have the dark wash). But not the biggest deal for the price I got them for. I think Gap should make these in more washes. Definitely a better medium color than the light one they are offering. I find it kind of ugly. A cool distressed pair would be nice as well. I don't mind the weight of the denim, similar to designer brands. I do think they could make a little heavier weight pair, not by much but just a little more denim like. These fit very much like Hudson signature boot ... without the annoying low rise and a fraction of the price.

second pair of these
This is my second pair of these ... love them! When I put them on they just feel perfect for my 5'11" long legs medium build in the 12L. The rise is not to low, not too high and the stretch makes them really comfortable. The fabric is thinner than older style denim which I first thought was a problem, but it actually means you can wear the in the warmer weather without getting overheated. Great buy, especially when they are on sale.

Good Fit
I own another pair of these ... medium wash so I knew these would fit me. Given that Gap ... always tend to get looser over time, I went down to a size 6 in these - which cracks me up. (I'm 5'10/140 lbs) They are snug at first - but loosen up but don't sag. The denim fabric for this dark wash is a little different. Its not as soft and has a tiny bit of a sheen to them - so they look dressier - but the fabric also picks up more lint and pet hair.

Momma Didn''t Raise No Fool
Alright, here's the low down with the "Perfect Boot" ... darker the wash, the smaller the size runs. I'm 5'7 and typically wear a size 4 (in fact, I have the medium wash in a size 4 and they fit fine). However, with the darker wash, I had to go up one size (No biggie...Ladies, it's not the end of the world to go up a size). Also, the fabric on these was a little itchy so I washed them in cold water with fabric softner (no detergent) and now my ... super soft. Anyway, these are great (love the midrise). I don't know of any other ... such a "clean" look, that are midrise, and are not cheap lookin' at this price. I don't know about you, but my momma didn't raise no fool... why spend $150/$200 on some ... can get the hook up at Gap!?!

Jeans that actually fit a petite frame!
Bought a 00P. These jeans fit almost perfect. My only complaint is that they are just a little short to wear with 3" heels, so i will have to wear more of a kitten heel with these. Great fit in waist and rear. A nice amount of stretch that does not feel clingy, just enough to keep shape through out the day. Nice medium weight denim that is super soft. I would buy another pair if they had a medium wash (not a fan of light wash denim)

Great ...
These ... fit great, feel like a good quality (not thin, not coarse), and flatter my rear (which can easily look flat/disappear in some ... Doesn't make it look bigger, just better. I also appreciate the longer than average length in the "Regular" fit (33 inches vs. most other brands' 32 inches) and the slim fit in the legs - most cheaper ... I've tried are baggy and short in the legs, or super low in the waist (not flattering). Overall, I am very happy with the quality and fit of these ... price - in the past, the only ... I'd been able to find that were comparable fit, quality and wash, and not the super low rise, were at least 50% more expensive. The only thing I might change about these ... would be to bring the waist up another inch - these are definitely a mid rise ... usually prefer a higher rise to avoid the "muffin top" effect.

These are my go to dressy ... They look great with heels and I've gotten multiple compliments on them! They make your butt look great too! I'm 5'4" 130 with an athletic build an a size 4 fits great. They do stretch some after a day of wear but the legs and butt do not sag like in some other ... Would love a medium wash in these and the same mid rise in a straight leg!

Long!
I'm 5'5.5" and I can barely wear these ... 8 reg. I have to wear them with at least a 3 inch heel and the legs still go all the way to the floor. I also agree with other reviewers that this particular pair of ... runs smaller than others. I have the real straight and the always skinny in an 8 ankle and they fit perfectly. I decided to get the perfect boot in an 8 reg. to wear with heels, but for some reason they are a little snug compared to the other Gap ... have. I would assume that the difference is due to the cut, but some are claiming that it's because of the dark wash. Sounds strange, but it may be true. I have a darker pair of real straight ... considerably tighter than the lighter pair. I think I'll keep them, but I'm curious to compare them to the 8a in a lighter wash that I just ordered. However, I must say that I do LOVE the slightly HIGHER rise on these ... have two small children so I am constantly kneeling and bending down toward them, and it's nice to not have to worry about these ... creeping down too much. I just wish the rise on the real straight style could also go a little higher. I'm going out on a limb here, but I think most Gap customers are probably tired of having to worry about showing crack!

Misleading about the rise
I bought my first pair of PERFECT BOOT (size 4)about a year ago. I fell in love with the cut--everything the Long & Lean offered (nice cut, leg lengthening, hip & butt flattering) but way sexier. For my second purchase (size 2) I was disappointed to learn they no longer make the very dark rinse I bought (like Indigo rinse in Sexy boot), nonetheless I settled for the darkest available rinse. In the store I thought the rise seemed short, so I tried on more than one to no avail. When I got home I tried on both my old pair and my new pair. There was definitely a difference in the rise (and therefore where the pockets sat on the butt). I have a longer torso and always prefer mid rise (no bulges). I have a pair of Modern boot pants(low rise pants) that sit at the same level or higher than these supposed mid rise ... These ... have a nice cut, but are definitely not a mid rise!

Still my favorite ... ever!
I am 5'10", 245, short waisted and right now wearing a size 20. Even when I'm running heavier, the fabric of these ... works miracles. I always feel like I look good in my perfect boot ... while maintaining comfort and flexibility. I have both regular and long lengths in these, wearing the longs when I want to wear heels. No gap in the back when I bend, no sagging after hours of wear. Being short waisted means that they hit me near waist; I could probably take a lower cut (maybe it's because these are longs?) The light color was more of a medium than I expected, but it's a good color, just wish they made a lighter blue for summer. I hope Gap will continue to make these without changing the fit and fabric for a long time! (Also love my Real Straight ...

my favorite ...
I can not wear super low rise ... adds a tiny bit of a higher rise... but low enough for those who do not want their rise at their waist!

LOVE THESE ...
This was my first Gap ... purchase. These are the most fantastic ... have purchased in a LONG time! I am 5'4" and about 150 lbs. I purchased the size 10P in the dark and medium wash. The sizing was consistent on both although the medium wash 10P does seem to be just a bit longer than the dark wash but nothing major. I love the fact that they hide some of my muffin top! The rise is a bit longer than lots of ... nowadays. They do stretch a bit after wearing them for awhile but not to the extent that it is a major issue. They are ready to go right out of the dryer, even after sitting in the dryer overnight. Pull them out the next morning and you're ready to go. The dark pair is a bit "dressy" looking for me but the medium wash is perfect. Length is great and make me look fantastic! They just make me feel really put together on days even when I'm not. Will definitely be purchasing more of these!

The BEST ... ever!!
I love these ... because they have a medium rise and they make me look slimmer overall. I am 5'6 and 130 pounds. I have a bit of a tummy; and I am sick of the "ultra low rise" trend. I fit a size 6 regular length perfectly in these ... They were snug when I bought them, but stretch to a perfect "relaxed" fit for me. I bought three pairs of these ... they are well worth it! I highly recommend these!

Love these ...
I now own several pairs of these ... several colors. I am 5'7" 150ish. I started out with size 8, but found they fit right out of the box/wash, but quickly stretched out and were way to big. I tried size 6, and found they were a bit too snug, but again quickly stretched out to the perfect fit. The darker wash in this style does not stretch as much and I have stayed with my true size of 8. Currently there is a pair which has slightly different styling. I have a pair of those in the medium wash and they fit more true to size. Although, I have not yet tried the ones currently for sale. I became very frustrated with the sizing issue and began trying much more expensive ... came back to these and sized down. That was the trick. I have found that the medium length is not quite the right length when I wear heels. I have begun buying the long length and have them altered to the right length for my shoes. I have recently been looking for cropped denim. Unfortunately the Gap does not have a style I like, so I think I am going to buy a pair of these in a short length then have them altered to the length I desire. Although, that could be a suggestion to the Gap that they may want to try manufacturing such a thing.

LOVE these ...
Before pregnancy, I always wore a lower rise ... Now I have more in the "love handle" area and need to wear a higher rise to minimize what would now be a "muffin top." I never thought I would like ... higher rise and would have once referred to them as "mom" ... However, these fit great!! They fit like a glove and really give me a figure again. I was a size 10 before baby but now comfortably wear a 12. I just ordered another pair in the darker wash and am hoping they fit just as good.

Love The Rise
Most ... today are low cut and every year styles become tighter and tighter. I CAN BREATHE in these ... noticed the two buttons in the picture of the ... online and hoped that meant the rise would be at least a little higher than average and THE RISE IS HIGHER. I do not like skinny ... jeggings, so these are perfect. I'm 5'4 so I got the ankle length and they're perfect. I think it helps when people add their measurements to reviews to help people with similar bodies choose sizes and lengths. I'm 140 lbs and I got a size 6 and they FIT GREAT. Also, just to add, I really like the 1969 collection. Awesome!

Finally, ... fit! I bought four pairs!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these ... waist looks like it is low rise but is actually closer to mid rise, and the two button waistband is comfy, not binding. Plus, no muffin top and you can go out to eat without feeling uncomfortable. I have a straighter shape (on my bottom half, anyway), so usually ... fit everywhere else are too tight in the waist. Not these! Unlike other reviewers, I love the soft, lighter weight denim and don't find the stretch to be too much. It's perfect. I can even wear them twice before washing. I like having ... different lengths, so that I have a pair long enough for each shoe type -- flats, heels, etc. Although I'm sure this is not intentional, the four 8R pairs I have are all slightly different lengths, which works out perfectly for me. GAP, please keep making these. They are definitely my holy grail ...

I'm 5'4", 130lbs and typically take a 6. I bought these in a 6 with an ankle inseam. The rise is great, not high waisted but not so low that they're sagging off all day. They come to about an inch under my belly button which is a very good rise for me. I have short legs but I'm long in the torso, so the ankle inseam and midrise of these ... balances out my body and they're flattering. I've not noticed a whole lot of stretching while wearing them and they seem to wash well. The material is pretty thin though and I'm a bit dissapointed with the weight of it. The wash also isn't as light as pictured here. I'd consider it a medium and that works out better for me than a light wash anyway. I tried on the dark wash as well, fit was the same but the denim felt very rough and very cheap, I was afraid they'd split if I bent over. I do like these ... but only bought one pair to see how they last, I'd hate to waste the money buying several pairs if they're not great even though they're fairly inexpensive. The boot shape is nice, just a very small flare and they're a nice break from my 505s and skinny ...

actual ...
After the super thin, super stretchy "denim" the Gap and so many stores have been selling the last couple years that either stretches out and is bagging on you within an hour of wear or else is as clingy as yoga pants, it's so nice to find medium weight (but soft) ... only 1% spandex. I wore these all day today and they didn't stretch at all. They fit well and I think are flattering. (For reference I'm 5'2 and 112 and got a 0P.) I only have a few minor quibbles. I'm not a big fan of the pronounced whiskering. I also found the belt loops to be strangely narrower than other Gap ... Finally, they were lower waisted than I thought they would be. However, that's probably because I had to buy a petite. Why do you not make "ankle" length in sizes 0 and 00, Gap????
