Great ...
I ordered these ... my 12 yr old son after we had purchased a pair in a GAP store and liked them. Unfortunately, the nearest store is 22 miles away, so ordering online was easier. My kids are slender but slim sized ... too tight. These ... have the adjustable elastic waist that makes it easier to get a good fit. The boot cut style offers more ease in movement than the skinny leg and my boys prefer that. The dark rinse gives the ... dressier appearance, too. Overall, they are a terrific product. I just wish the price point was about $5 less!

Regular ...
These are great fitting, except too long for my 4 year old boy. He is of average height and weight for a four year old and these fit PERFECTLY except too long. But the length is okay, he'll grow . I'll only buy GAP for my boys ... other ... gape open in the rear or are too big in waist. These are great!

Love these ...
Both of my boys were born into Gap. They have worn Gap everything always. I love these ... because the quality is durable and the ... just amazing. Gap ... have always been a must in my house and even the ones that are passed down look brand new because they wear well. I highly recommend these ... they are attractive, wash well, comfortable, and durable.

Love the rich, saturated color of these ... Quality of the denim and thickness of fabric is excellent. They do run a little smaller than last years's version, but I did not want to check "too small" in the box above. Last year's version was my favorite, because the ... fit a little more like a boot cut ... These are slightly skinnier in the leg, and I hate skinny ... No boy or man should be wearing skinny ... These worked great for me because my son's size 8 ... last year were getting too tight in the waist. I ordered the 10, and they fit great, even though he wears an 8 in Gap's classic khaki short. The length is long, but it is perfect for me because my boys are tall. We buy these ... every year, so I hope Gap never gets rid of them. Again, my only improvement would be to make them look less skinny in the legs and more like a boot cut style.

Great ...
I bought these ... my 11 year old son. The size 12 had a slightly loose waist, but I like them like that to allow room for growth. In the interim, I use the adjustable elastic to have the pants fit. My sons tells me they are very comfortable. I've purchased gap ... both my sons and we all love them.

Perfect slim fit!
My son is tall and slim and we've searched everywhere for ... fit----these are the perfect fit! They are very durable and comfortable and he likes the dark rinse finish. Great ...

Great ... tall skinny boys
I always have a hard time finding ... fit my 10 year old, but these are great! The 12 slims fit him well in the waist, and they are nice and long, too...longer than other 12's that he has. The wash is very dark and even...no faded areas or whiskering, which he likes. Great ...

Great fit
My 12 yr old son has grown up wearing original Gap slim ... They always fit well and don't look baggy around the hips. The ... wear well after many washings. My son loves them.

Great ... but runs one size too large.
Great quality dark, denim ... My boys wear size 8 and 12 in Levi's 550 original fit, and I had to go down one size to a 7 and 11 in these ... length is long, which is great, as my children are tall. Overall, they are great ... just order one size down.

Big GAP in sizes
My son has long legs so we ALWAYS buy GAP ... they tend to be longer than the same size from Old Navy. His size 16 GAP ... too short, but when getting the size 18 they were way too long. Hmmm, we will have to try something different. He was very disappointed that he still doesn't have any ... wear that fit.

Just too big
I bought these 'slim' ... my son. He will be 7 in a matter of weeks. His size 6 ... getting too short on him. I ordered a slim b/c he is extremely skinny. Well these ... not big but GIGANTIC on him. Even with the adjustable waist. Just absolutely way too big. They're going back ... :(

Great ... active boy
I first bought Gap ... my son last year, when he turned 4 years old, and they have become his favorite article of clothing. For the past year, he has lived in 3 pairs of ... few pairs of Gap khakis) and they have stood up really well to his active playing at school/playground (no holes, even in the knees!) and have weathered to a nice broken in look. He LOVES his ... saying a lot because my son prefers to wear his pjs all day, but he'll put on ... without complaining to go out (of course, he gets right back into pjs when we get home). I buy a size up because he's tall (so I got size 5 when he was 4 and am now buying size 6 because he's going to be 5 soon) and to ensure he won't outgrow them too soon. I just bought 4 pairs for next year and they seem to be the same quality and look.

Nice ... money
My son wears these ... school - he is slim in the waistline, and because these can be ordered in slim sizing, they fit better than traditional fit. The ... good buy overall - they're stylish and durable - they don't look cheap like ... can look when purchased from discount stores. I purchased the same ones last year in a smaller size, and since they don't fit this son any longer, my younger son can wear them and they're still not worn out!

The best boys ... EVER!
My son is all boy and loves to play and get dirty. The GAP ... only ... durable enough to outlast him. Every other brand of ... have bought ends up with holes in the knees within a month. I have ordered these in every wash shade. He even has some pairs that are still intact and can be passed down to his little brother! Well worth the $$.

Finally, a comfy ...
Although my son looks adorable in skinny ... he hates how they restrict his movement. He really loves these ... - and they look pretty cute on him too. He has many ... hanging in his closet and these are the ones he grabs for. No more skinny ... us!

Great fit for slim boys
These ... fit my son to perfection! He is very slim andhas long legs. I have a problem finding ... fit him well. He's worn Levi's forever, but I just hated the fit on him. Because I have to take the waist up, they looked like Mom ... :) I've had tons of compliments from other Mom's saying, "I love those ... did you get them?" Plus, a friend told me today that she liked them b/c they look more grown up b/c they fit him so well, or something like a Dad would like b/c of the fit.

I always buy Gap's slim ... my scrawny son. I have bought other brands, but they never look as good as Gap ... do for the duration that he fits into them. One time, he got a hole in the knees of one of the 8 pairs he owns. Gap quickly and politely issued me a refund when I returned the item. The extra money that Gap ... cost is definitely worth every penny for kids.

Great pants that will last
These ... great! I shopped at three or four other stores looking for ... my son for kindergarten, and was so disappointed in the fit and quality of the other brands. The Gap ... look so more relaxed and comfy on my son, and look more and feel more durable. I will definately be returning when he needs new ...

Like the ... but inconsistent in sizing
My 9 year old son loves the Gap Original ... -- especially the bar slide closure instead of a button or snap. This is the third year that he has worn these ... exclusively. I recently purchased 8 pair of the Gap Original ... him in three different "washes". All of the ... were ordered and were labelled the same size -- 8 regular. The two pair in the lighter color (which can only be returned by mail) have a smaller waist and are shorter in length than the other 6 pairs in the darker washes. These fit him, as the other pairs are quite long and have to be cinched in with the inner elastic. This inconsistency in sizing is the only reason I gave the ... 4 stars instead of 5. We have always been very happy with this brand and style of ...

Why change a good thing?
Why did these have to be restyled with a skinnier fit? I put in my annual order for original fit ... which have always fit my tall skinny son in slims. The original fits were not too loose and floppy, but were just relaxed and comfortable. This time, when he tried them on, he yelled "Mom! These are skinny ... Not a good thing. Keep the skinny ... skinny, leave the originals alone, please. Interestingly, I ordered loose fit to replace the originals, and the new "loose fit" is close to the old "original." Took me three tried to get my size 18 slim boy his annual ... He was stuck wearing shorts and track pants until after Thanksgiving!

Original Gap jeans for boys
Although these jeans have the same order/style number as previous jeans I have for my grandson, they are definitely not the "original gap" jeans I have gotten before. These are cut more like skinny ... So if you want the same fit as the "original" ... these are not for you. I am very disappointed.

Thin Denim
I ordered these ... my 9 year old thinking they would be thick/quality denim--NOT!! The material is thin, and it does not appear these ... last more than a few months. Gap ... used to be thicker denim. They are labeled 1969; not sure if this is a mistake, as I ordered ORIGINAL ... am returning these and buying the gold standard LEVI'S since the Gap has obviously changed their standards.

Finally found ... fit my slim son! The original Gap ... were too tight in the legs- even though he is 5 foot 6 and just over 100 pounds- these ... 18 slims- fit great Tried in 3 department stores and couldn't find a thing- all too big in waist if they fit in the length. Great ...

stylish AND practical
I LOVE Gap ... my boys. They look darling but are also very durable. I can count on a pair of ... holding up for the whole season, whereas ... other stores get worn out before my boys grow out of them. These are great - and you can't beat the adjustable waist band!

Gap customer for 11 years.
My grandson is in a size ... right now that the local stores in my small town do not have anywhere, he outgrew his gap ... quickly, I went to every store in town, no ... fit. I love GAP, if the type of ... order don't fit, I send them back, (quick returns) and order a different type. I always find something to fit. I love gap.

We have always purchased Gap ... sons. My oldest is 13 now and he wanted to give other brands a try. Once he saw and tried on what was out there he realized the "Gap ... were his favorite. As my 13 year old son has said, "they are the BEST fitting ...

Please note that my ratings are for last year's version of the loose fit ... am writing to echo the sentiments of the previous reviewer in asking, begging, pleading with GAP to PLEASE bring back the elastic waist loose fit ... have 3 boys ages 4, 6 and 9 and after many years of trial and error sizing with other ... my oldest son, your elastic waist loose fit ... ONLY ... have been buying for each of my 3 boys for the past 3 years. Last week when I went to your website to purchase the next size up I was shocked to see that you had changed the design. I have many years left of purchasing these ... have told other moms about them. Judging by your website comments, these ... were a favorite for many, so please listen to your customers and go back to the old design. Given that you could only purchase them on the website, I will not be ordering the new design based on the previous reviewers comment about inaccurate sizing within multiple pairs of the same ... has time for returns when the old design was a sure thing for busy moms looking to purchase something quickly on line?

husky sizes
I love your ... styling and durability, but I wish the Husky sizes would just come shorter!! My son is broad, so his ... always inches too long. I have gotten his husky ... Gap for 3 yrs in a row, your waist measurement fits him best.

Nice ... but they run one full size bigger than usual, order down a size!
These are great ... & my son likes them, but they run a full size too large. We purchased these in years past, but I'm not sure I remember them running this large. By comparison, the 14 regular in this Gap ... same waste size & length as an Old Navy size 16 regular. My son normally wears a 14 reg in old navy pants & ... so I ordered a 14 reg in these. Should have ordered the 14 slim...I'll be exchanging them. They also run quite a bit longer in length (about 2&1/2 "), but because my son is at the age where huge growth spurts in height are the norm, the length will be fine. We've ordered Gap ... before & they do shrink a little, but not much. It's too bad the sizing on these ... so far off, otherwise they are great.

These ... were MUCH bigger than the same style of Gap ... earlier year. Too big in the waist and too long. May need to try the regular fit ... next time.

Not the right fit for my 10 year old son
My 10 year old son does not like to wear ... He wears athletic pants everyday. I wanted to find ... he felt were somewhat comfortable. I saw the prior reviews that they big. I bought the normal size for my son and a size smaller. The smaller size was too small. the regular size would have worked. However, the overall fit is strange. They are cut like a "box". There is just no shape to the ... Therefore, both sizes just hung on him. This is just not the fit for him so the ... returned.

Slims NOT for slim kid
Bought these for my tall & slim son, but the LOOSE style not good for long & lean boys. Even with the adjustable waist, the slim size version of these ... has a waist that's much too large. We also ordered the ORIGINAL style ... those worked perfectly for slim size.

Gap has the best ... toddlers
At least for my son, a skinny string bean who needs a 2T for the waist but a 3T for length. I got the 3T, cinch in the waist with the inside elastic (thank goodness for that in kids' clothes!) and cuff the bottoms so he can wear them in the spring and the fall. Gap ... seem to be cut slimmer in the leg (these are not skinny ... but they are not baggy like carpenters), which works better for my son.

Love these ...
These ... perfect for my 2 year old boys. They are a little skinnier than other boys their age. The adjustable waist is perfect for them. I am happy to finally have found some ... not to wide for my kids. I will definitely buy more gap ...

Great ...
I have been buying these specific ... since my son was a baby and now he is 3years old. I love the style, cut and material of this ... It's not to heavy and it's perfect for any occasion. They look very cute on! I am very biased when it comes to my kids ... so I will only buy them from GAP!! :)

These ... very soft and have the adjustable waist, if your son is tall then you can size up with these ...

Great for my 2 year old!
I bought these ... my tall 2 year old in a size 3T. They were a tad big and so I washed and dryed them, they did not shrink up much, which was fine because with the adjustable waist I was able to give my son the perfect fit, with no belt needed! He didn't cry or complain about these ... all, in fact he ran around and played in them all day long. They did start to sag on him after a little while, but I just tightened the waistband again and they were fine. He is in pullups so that little bit of added bulk helped fill them out. He looked so cute and stylish in these and I love that they were lightweight and comfortable for him, these are great!!

Nice, styling ... little dudes
My 3 y/o son wears 4T in other Gap ... right now, but these drag a little. They're a very nice weight for spring/summer, which is great. He just needs to pop up an inch so they don't drag or trip him. Otherwise, very stylish. He looks adorable in them!

Darker than what I expected!
Great ... but they are a little darker than I had expected. I bought a pair last year, and they were a lot lighter. They are almost as dark as the Dark Original Fit ... But we really like them.

Fell a bit short of expectations
After the glowing reviews, I was excited to buy these ... my son. I got them in his usual, size 2T. However, they are super long, and a little stiffer than I thought they were going to be. Also, the picture makes them look like a slightly baggier fit, which I like for my son because he still wears diapers. But the ... have a much more slim/straight cut to them than the picture. Since the ... too long, my son hasn't worn them, nor have I washed them. I'm hoping that once I do, the stiffness will improve and they'll shrink up a bit. With that said, I do like the color, and if they soften up a bit, I'm sure they'll become a favorite.

Love them, but Small
My son is very true to size for his age, but these ... seemed to run small length and waist wise. Other brand ... size 4t I need to have the adjustable waist pulled a few notches, but these none.

Run a full size big!
Bought 12-18 months which is what he is wearing in all other GAP clothes. These ... were WAY on the large size! I rolled a cuff into the ... have the waist cinched all of the way in and they fit, but I would have sized down had I known this! They are really lightweight though, I love that comfy feel for ...

Too small!
I buy size 3T for my son who's 3 1/2 yrs old (he's a little on the small side) and these ... fit him like skinny ... which we're not big fans of. He would not be able to wear these long with how kids grow so we're returning them. I guess I'll stick to my OKBG carpenter pants which fit very well and don't have issues with.
