Best ... Ever!!!
I have these ... light and dark and they are my favorite ... ever!! Perfect rise for a mom of 3 that has a small pooch in the belly, these ... hide it perfectly. For reference, I am 5'7 and140 lbs. and I ordered a 6R in both. It's true, they are a little (1/4 in) longer than other ... but I can still wear flats in them and better yet, I can actually wear boots or heels and they don't look like capris!! They are a strudy material, light enough to be flexable but not a true "strech jean" and sturdy enough to withstand the roughness of 3 kids climbing/pulling on me. The best feature though, is that I can bend over to pick up my kids and my butt crack stays in my pants. I am mortified that people think designer ... looks so good on them, reveal their but crack to the rest of the world. Try the light ones first as the dark ones are just barely smaller than the light ones. Not enough to change sizes but just be aware. I use the dark ones as a dressier jean. Absolutley the Best ... Ever!!!

THE BEST ... I''VE EVER WORN
These ... PERFECT. They fit me perfectly and I have a hard time finding ... because I have really long legs and a big butt but a flat stomach. Most ... if you have a big butt, they assume you have a big stomach too so the front is always too loose for me. But these ... PERFECT. I think it's the 2% spandex in them. They hug my curves in all the right places and make me look tall and thin with a nice butt, not thick and wearing baggy ... like most other ... make me look and feel. I seriously wear these almost every day and they go with everything. The only bummer is, based on these ... bought the light wash too, and they're not as perfect. I think they only have 1% spandex in the light wash and it makes a HUGE difference. Also they're cut higher, sort of like granny ... But the dark wash is THE BEST.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
MY DRESSY SIDE! As a constant jean wearer these are the ... wear for a dressier look. This wash also has a little more lycra in it so the fit stays great all day. I love the extra length Gap provides, I am just over 5'7" 122lbs and wear a 4 long. Since I don't have hips or a butt I have always had that stretched out need to wash your ... after every wear. But I don't lie on the ground and use a pliers to zip my ... like to be able to tuck things in if needed and oh yeah breath. Gap ... wear like iron, if it weren't for paint, grease, lost luggage, bleach splatters, and changing styles I'd never need to buy new ...

GREAT ...
I am usually a fan of Gap ... two reasons - 1) at 6' tall its hard for me to find anything long enough and 2) they have a good selection of washes/styles for the tall size. These ... even surpassed my expectations. The fit is PERFECT. It honestly feels like they were made for my body and they don't gap in the back like some of Gap's ... tend to do (no pun intended). I read the reviews that these may stretch a little and that's ok - I might need it if I eat a big meal or gain a few! But overall I am very impressed with these ... dark wash they'll be great for work or going out.

The best gap ... ever (for petites)
I love these ... They are so versatile. I really like the mid rise/two button fit. i don't like the low rise sexy boot as much because on a petite it makes your legs look shorter. This ... makes your legs look long for a petite and they are so flattering. I ddin't find the whiskering overdone like one of the reviewers that almost convinced me not to buy these (i hate exaggerated whiskering). The whiskering was very subtle. They also loosened up the thighs since their previous version of this 2-button mid rise boot cut jean--no more sausage effect. I love everything about the fit, the width of the opening, the fit of the hips/thighs & the rise. They are the most flattering ... ever for someone who is 5 ft tall. I do notice the ... material is thinner & thus cheaper looking up close. Please don't change these jeans--they are great. I am mostly a between a 00 and a 0, but I ordered a 0p because I think these ... run a tiny bit small after they are washed & dried. After washing/drying they fit perfectly, especially in the length. I always need a little dryer shrinkage to get ... fit in the length and these came out perfectly. For a 5 foot woman you do need to wear 2-2.5 inch heels or boots, but that's how i like to wear my ... anyway. I will buy a couple more pairs.

Only ... buy!
Gap ... ONLY ... can find that fit my short waisted long legged frame. These ... last. I'm still wearing ... bought 10 yrs. ago from Gap. I am ready for tall colored ... bring them on!!!!!!

Best ... Have Found to Date
These have been the best ... I've found to date (I liked the curvy cut also). I have tried all the big name brands out there. I tend to carry a little extra flesh in my lower waist and these have been the only ... give me a nice clean look through the lower waist and hip and not give me the horrid "muffin top." If I find pants to fit in the hip, the waist is too small and visa/versa. There is more coverage in the rise which is great (although I would like to see the back a touch higher, but an improvement over last years cut). I'm almost 50, 6ft tall, active and ride horses and these ... nice for riding. Great for casual fridays in the office, going out for dinner, etc, etc. The denim is not heavy and stiff which I prefer. The ... come extra long which is great if you ride and if not you can hem them. I personally cannot say enough about these ... wear them everyday.

Great ...
These ... fit great, feel like a good quality (not thin, not coarse), and flatter my rear (which can easily look flat/disappear in some ... Doesn't make it look bigger, just better. I also appreciate the longer than average length in the "Regular" fit (33 inches vs. most other brands' 32 inches) and the slim fit in the legs - most cheaper ... I've tried are baggy and short in the legs, or super low in the waist (not flattering). Overall, I am very happy with the quality and fit of these ... price - in the past, the only ... I'd been able to find that were comparable fit, quality and wash, and not the super low rise, were at least 50% more expensive. The only thing I might change about these ... would be to bring the waist up another inch - these are definitely a mid rise jean, and I usually prefer a higher rise to avoid the "muffin top" effect.

A review of the old versus the new materials....
I have a love/hate relationship with these ... First, the love: this fit is (usually) fabulous. I am 5'3", 112, 36" hip, pear shaped with a "bubble" posterior. It has been nearly impossible to find ... flattering and comfortable for under $170/pair. These really look great and the price is reasonable. Now, the hate: Gap is so inconsistent with their sizing. This is a real pain for those of us that live 40+ miles from the nearest Gap store. I own a pair in 2A that I had bought in a retail store. They fit pretty well, a touch roomy after a few hours wear which works fine for my lifestyle most of the time chasing my kids. They measure 29.5" inseam and the boot is almost a flare so I can only wear flat shoes with them. I decided to order a 0 regular (and that also brings me to my other hate which is that 0 doesn't even COME in an ankle - makes NO sense) because I wanted a pair to wear with heels for going out/wanted them to fit more snug than my 2's. The new ones are an 80% cotton/19% poly/1% spandex blend. I thought I would hate that but they actually don't feel any different than the 98/2 blend which I'm happy about. I'm hoping that means they don't stretch as much with wear. BUT....the 0 regular is ridiculously long. They measure 34" inseam. Yes - the regular inseam is 34" and the ankle is 29.5". That is such a wide variance, it should only be 2-3" between inseam lengths. So if I keep this particular pair, I have to get them shortened to 32". I also found that the 0 regular fits the same in the waist as the 2A I own (which is a little big so I get a gap in the back when I sit) but is more snug in the thigh (which you would expect in a smaller size and what I wanted....just wish the waist would have been smaller as well). I know there are many reviews commenting on the sizing inconsistencies so I may just order another pair and hope that they come a little smaller. It's just so ridiculous that I even have to do that, though, and then spend $6 to return the ones that don't work. Oh well. When will a designer make ... women the way they do for men....to pick our waist size AND our inseam length and not only have 3 inseam lengths to choose from? In a perfect world, Gap would make these ... without the inconsistencies in size and would offer them at least 5 inseam lengths. That would be so nice! I will say, though, that these are the only ... fit me in an affordable price range so I guess I can't be too picky! Please, Gap, don't stop making this style. More washes would be much appreciated, too!

Nice ...
I've been purchasing Gap ... years. I'm 6" tall and have appreciated being able to get ... long enough so I haven't been particular with the "exact" fit, I've been more concerned about the length. These are a nice mid rise jean (although I would like to see the back a bit more higher). The fabric is great, not a heavy denim, great for summer. For those that are mentioning these are running small, they do fit a bit smaller, but Gap did mention in the description that the sizing has been standardized. You just need to try them to see how they fit. I purchase the Xlongs for the x rise and tall fit. I too have to shorten the gap ... flats or a shorter heel, but I don't mind, you can always shorten, but you can't lengthen. I have old Gap flare ... five years ago that I still wear, I love them and personally wish Gap would bring them back. My only suggestion to Gap would be, for us "older" gals we need the mid rise. The low or ultra low rise just doesn't work. I also placed an order for an XL length, but when I got them they were not the 37" length, but were 34". I wonder if the wrong tag was sewn in the garment. I kept them and wear them with flats, but these things happen. [...]. As for the price, I always try to purchase them on sale over internet, it helps to save a few pennies in this economy. Thanks Gap, you're appreciated from us tall gals....keep the tall pants and tops coming.......

Random sizing....
I love these ... they fit. I have to agree with another review...the sizing of Gap ... lately is so random! I ordered a size 8, which is my size, and it was way too small. Returned those at the store to find that a size 8 in the store fit perfectly. I have had to return many ... lately, only to exchange them for the same size...but that actually fit! A store employee who seemed frustrated at my comment about the randomness of the sizing said, in a not so nice tone, "well...all of our ... hand made"...ok...but can the size 8 be handmade in a size 8? The length is another story! "Regular" seems to be made for tall runway models while a "short" is like 6 inches shorter!!! Thankfully...I am still able to locate a pair that fit...but it has become very inconvenient and if I can find a store with consistent sizing and nice fitting ... switch to that brand.

love the lenght!
i am tall and the extra tall ... great! they cover the tounge of my shoe for once! i dont like the color but the fit and lenght i love!! they make me feel sexy and i get complements when i wear them!when i put them on, comparied to my old ... looked like i lost ten pounds! love the ... wear them all over! the only ting that bugs me is they buckle in the back. i have tryed on a smaller pair and it does it then too. so it must just be my butt :) love them anyways! and will buy more! :)

I love theses ... am a mixed chick who is 6'0 tall curvy at the hips and behind. I always have had trouble finding ... because of my height and the inseam never seems to be right. But this is my second pair of ... have ordered. The first pair was great it was just a little long and I had ordered tall. The fit was great as well as the color and quality. This pair I just ordered I ordered long, the fit was perfect, the inseam was perfect, the fit in the waist and rear and the length was perfect. I guess that is why they call it 1969 perfect. I will continue to get my ... here. LOVE THE GAP ... !!! Great quality too. I'm very pleased.

Great ...
I am 5'4" tall and about 118 lbs. I wear a size 2R (26" waist) in these ... just LOVE them. I am slightly curvy in my hips, and these ... make me look slimmer. The fit is great and I love the wide waistband with double buttons. My only negative comment is that they are very long. The short length was too short for me, and the regular was too long. But I just had them hemmed at a tailor that can do ... hems and they look perfect. You'd never know they were altered. I am going back to buy a few more pairs in dark and light colors if they have them as it's so hard for me to find ... fit well.

My Go To ...
I DO LOVE THESE ... used to wear Gap's Long and Lean fit, but when these Perfect Boot ... came along I switched over. I like the slimmer fit and less flare at the bottom of the leg. Not being blessed with hips and a butt these seem to still fit snug enough without all the excess bagging most ... have. At the end of the day you will need to wash and shrink them again, but for those of us cursed to be butt less...it is what it is. Gap also provides that extra length I need that most companies don't being that I wear a size 4 long (the fit for tall is completely different). These are my go to ... wear them all the time, I must have 10 pairs plus a few in different washes and colors. I am not a person to spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of ... but I want good quality and I want them to last. Gap ... provide all that and more. Wouldn't buy ... any place else.

LOVE them!
I LOVE these ... found that all 1969 ... fit great! As a bigger girl 5'9" and 190lbs i find that these ... fit me higher on the hips and hide the muffin top. They don't stretch out that fast and are super comfortable. As a mom of 3 I can bend over and do "mom stuff" without my crack showing or having to be constantly pulling them up every 10 seconds like other ... would recommend these ... everyone. I do buy them in tall one because of my height but also because the pockets sit up higher on my butt and make it look not so droopy. :)

LOVE these ...
This is my second pair of these ... bought the first one a size larger for a comfy, ... with-sneakers look (plus, I had gained a few pounds). I loved them so much that I bought my regular size, which is perfect! I love that GAP's long ... actually long enough for tall women like me--even with heals. The ... soft, have just enough stretch, and along with some Lucky Brand long flares, are my new favorites! The only thing I don't like is the little bright blue rivet on one side in the front, but that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Buy these ... You'll LOVE them!

Nice ... however they do stretch out in the rear end after having them on for a while. I always have trouble finding ... long enough for me, but these ... tall size are just perfect.

Perfect Bootcut ...
I have worn Gap bootcut ... years, they always fit perfect, and people always ask what brand they were. The past 6 to 8 years Gap keeps changing them. These ... fit OK but stretch out after a couple hours wear, then you have to keep pulling them up. They are no longer a bootcut, but more of a flare. The length is still great, Gap always takes care of tall people too. I wish they would go back to their original style when they first added stretch, yes I wore Gap ... before spandex. After stretch was added I thought they were heavenly, now theres just a little too much, still love Gap.

Great ... - Too Long
I was so excited to receive my ... have lost 20 lbs and really needed a pair of ... fit. Well, the ... fit GREAT everywhere except the length. I am 5'4" and typically can wear a regular in length with a pair of heels. To wear these beautiful ... would need a pair of stilts. They were so long that I was sure they had sent the incorrect size as I am sure a 6' tall person could wear these ... ok. Needless to say, I have ordered the Ankle length to see how that goes and will post once they get here on the length.

great fit, but want more from them
I get most of my ... gap because of the tall sizes available- I have a 35" inseam. I wish that on each page of ... inseam would be listed clearly... sometimes Im not sure if Im getting the 38" inseam or the 34" inseam when ordering and don't find out until 2 weeks later when they arrive in the mail. As for these particular ... LOVE the way they fit. However, the material is very lightweight so I guess they will be better to wear in summer. The color isn't really as pictured either. My pair has those bleached whisker marks that were popular 10 years ago. I wish this style was available in regular ... fabric and had many more colors to chose from- then Id by several pairs.

Not for me
Nice ... but not for me. The rise was too high...guess I'm just really used to and like lower rise ... I'm tall and relatively thin and I thought the ... made my rear look too long (if that makes sense). I can see why others liked them so much, but was disappointed that I didn't agree.

PLEASE DON''T DISCONTINUE THESE!
Please GAP, please don't discontinue these ... women like me who actually have curvy hips and a butt, they forgive a multitude of sins and are so flattering in a dark wash with heels and a cute top. You can wear them on a casual Friday, out for drinks, with a tank top on a summer night, etc. I'm SO sick of seeing skinny ... everywhere. Let's face it ladies - when you aren't stick thin, skinny ... do NOT look good! Boot cut ... must live on! PLEASE do not discontinue these ... Gap!! I beg of you!

SO SAD, DON''T DISCONTINUE!!!
I worked at Gap as a second job a few years back and tried on all of their ... fell in LOVE with the Long and Leans and they are all I have worn since. I introduced the style to my friends and they all started wearing them as well. The long and lean jean is the only jean fit out there that works for my body type. I wear a size 0-2 in this style (2-4 in ... elsewhere) most people would think it is easy to find ... size but I have tiny waist and athletic legs and nothing seems to fit as well as the long and leans. I even tried on $300 pairs of ... San Francisco and was happy putting back on my Long and leans. I bought 3 pair online when I found out they were d/cing the style and it looks like they have refreshed their online stock so I may have to make another order. Please reconsider Gap. Long and Leans bring me into the store. W/O them I will not be traveling to the next town to go to Gap anymore.

Sad to see Long & Lean ... go
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these ... am beyond sad to read that they've been discontinued. They were the only ... found that fit me the way I like ... fit. I'm a tall girl, but not tall enough to wear "tall" length ... not short enough to wear "regular" length ... Long & Lean ... Gap, in my eyes, were the perfect fit. I really wish Gap would re think their decision to discontinue them and bring them back.

Love them...
At 5'11" tall it is very hard for me to find a nice pair of ... look great and are long enough. This pair of long and lean ... provide both. I am actually thinking of ordering another pair before my size is sold out. If you are looking for a great pair of ... true to size, buy these ...

I wore long and lean ... long time, up until the last few years. They changed the fabric and the fit went to being loose and baggy.This is coming from someone being heavy in the hips and thighs. But I tried the new design and i love them! They are great for tall people. The material is thick and very flattering. I love when my ... fit tight to me because in an hour they will be perfect. I will highly recommend these to anyone if you like a nice clean tight fit! I cant stand when ... loose and these are very fitted I am very impressed and happy the original long and lean ... back!

Amazing ... but go a size down
I am a true Gap Jean fan! Over the years I've notice in certain rinses/washes I either have to go up or down a size. In the medium wash tint I'm a size 12 but in the dark washed tints I'm a size 14 HOWEVER the long and lean dark wash totally side swiped me!! When I tried them on they slipped right on, which is a no no for Gap ... They should fit a little snug in the beginning and they loosen up after 3-4 wears, depending on how often and how long I wear them. I called back and made my exchange immediately and my size 12's should be coming tomorrow. FYI - READ THE FABRIC CONTENTS!!! The more Lycra/Spandex the smaller the size you should order, GAP ... DO STRETCH. As far as the length goes I'm 5'11" and 3/4, round up to 6', and the length is perfect for me and the shoes I wear. I don't wear too many heels because my husband is 6'2" and I don't like to tower over him so I've found myself hemming the ... time to time so they won't drag on the floor. Overall the ... hit for me and my lifestyle. I just wish they sold the extra long lengths in the store, I hate waiting for my precious ... Thanks anyway Gap!

Please do not discontinue Long and Lean ...
I have been wearing Long and Lean ... over 10 years and still find them to be the best ... out in the market for women with curves. I found out at a Gap store today that these fabulous ... going to be discontinued to make room for skinny ... am 5"3 and 130 lb with curves and in no way do I want to squeeze into skinny ... am in my 30s and do not want to dress as I did in my teens. The Long and Lean ... flatter women of any shape and height due to their silhouette and style. The range of colors offered gives these ... their flexibility to be worn on any occasion including going out, work or on casual days. The rise is high enough that the Butt crack is not on display but low enough to look stylish. I tried the other non skinny cuts offered by Gap but none of them are comparable to these fantastic Long and Lean ... sake of your curvier fans and customers, please do not discontinue the Long and Lean ... If you must discontinue a non skinny cut, I propose the Curvy. Despite the name, the Curvy does not do much for those with curves.

BEST ... EVER!
These ... perfect fit! The rise is perfect! The feel is perfect! The look is perfect! I cannot believe they would be discontinued by GAP. You would think if the people in charge were in touch with the customer base they would listen to how much LOVE these ... getting. I'm all for a skinny jean, but sometimes you want to look casually sexy. These ... make you look like you don't have to try! like you are some kind of effortless goddess who always looks great. GAP would definitely loose A LOT of love from me if they were discontinued permanently and didn't come up with an even better replacement (like magic butt ... something) KEEP THE ...

Keep the long and lean!
I've noticed that there are no longer long and leans ... stores-- this is a big mistake gap! Most women do not need to look extra "curvy" and skinny ... only work on a very small percentage of body types. I've been buying long and leans for years and they are often the only pants I can find to flatter my shape. I am under 5'4" with very short legs and I have VERY curvy and athletic thighs and rear. Most boot cut ... just make me look shorter and all butt and thighs (skinny ... make me look like a triangle). Long and leans make me look taller and create a nice straight line that evens me out. These ... classic and what women want to wear. Instead of pulling them from the shelves, you should offer them in more sizes, lengths, and washes!

Great fit, but terrible fabric
Despite many years of try ons, I never had luck finding Gap ... fit--I'm tall (5'10") and pear shaped, and I want ... have a bit of a flare to balance out my thighs and butt, and fit closely but not super tight. I would have thought the curvy fit would be better, but I have tried both and the Curvy ... gap at the waist. So, I am thrilled at the fit of the Long and Leans (I never tried the old ones, only the new 1969 ones), but the denim is TERRIBLE. I just ordered my fourth pair in less than a year, because the fabric wears through so quickly. It also stretches out, so the only time the ... really fit perfectly is right out of the dryer. I tried on a size 14, thinking that w/the stretch that would be about right, but they're too small--I think b/c there's a 2" difference in the waist b/w sizes 14 and 16, while the other sizes have a smaller difference (usually 1"). Anyway. I will probably keep ordering these, at least until I can fit into a size 14 long in anything else (my old favorite J.Crew ... were discontinued), but please, GAP, consider using heavier gauge denim! These ... not your cheapest--the construction should live up to the price.

Not the Same Long and Lean
I love the look of the long and lean ... very flattering.. I wear an 16L and was very disappointed when I received my ... found that they had changed the material. The denim is thin and seems cheap. The first pair I ordered 6 months ago there was a flaw with the zipper and they had to be returned within two weeks of purchase. The replacement pair is now in the trash. The material was so thin that they wore out in the inner thigh area. For [$] I would expect my ... last a few years like my old long and lean have. Three years ago I purchased a pair, made of the thicker material, which I can still wear today. The ... also stretch out very easily. As previously mentioned by the others the Dark wash seem to run smaller then the Medium tent (I purchased a pair of each at the same time). I am not sure GAP's thinking behind making these ... such a thin material. Though I love these ... cannot constitute spending this much money on a pair of ... know won't be a staple in my closet in one year. Sorry GAP but you need to switch back to the old fabric, before I will buy another pair of Long n Lean from you. I gave them Three Stars because the cut is still a great jean but not worth the price.
