Long Skinny Jeans...who knew?!
For as slow as Gap.com online service is, I actually go these ... fairly timely manner and was so happy to have tall skinny ... It's already bad enough finding ... 35" or 37" inseam and these were perfect! I always worry about length, but these ... perfect to wear with flats, but have enough length to wear with 3-4" heels and the ... still won't look like they are too short. I do think these ... very overpriced and Gap doesn't include denim on a lot of coupons, which is a huge bummer, but when you get a coupon or dollar amount off special, that makes the ... worth it. Lets just say that these ... surprised me with how well they fit.

My new favorite ...
I recently lost 30 pounds and had been holding off buying new pants/ clothes in general, but I really needed new ... even before I lose the last 10 lbs. I had planned for. These ... really show off my new, slimmer figure - my husband loves them! they are tight in the right places without being uncomfortable. I'm 37 years old and like to look "stylish" without trying to look like I'm trying to be 20, and these ... help me create the look I'm going for. Oh yea... and NO Muffintop!! Also, I'm tall and have always had trouble finding ... don't look like highwaters (sorry... jr. high trauma...) and the Gap has always been the first to take us tall ladies into account and make great ... "abnormal" size, without making me look and feel like a giant. Thank you Gap!! Been buying your tall ... since I was 20 years old!

I ordered an 8 Tall with X Long length, I love these ... am so happy with this purchase, these are truly made for taller people, not like some other tall ... have experienced where my rear is exposed when bending over because the rise in the back isn't high enough. These ... perfect, in fact these ... have become my go to ... hate to take them off. I love the fact that they are long enough in the length and high enough in the rise and they still are attractive skinny ... Thank you gap for making the best tall ... out there! p.s. you will want to go a size or two down as they will stretch out. GAP PLEASE MAKE THESE ... MORE COLORS!

These ... perfect for me!
I have always had trouble finding long enough ... fit my waistline because I am very tall and slim. After going to various stores and trying on long size ... longest size they come in), I decided they weren't long enough for my height of 5'10". I had a really hard time finding anything because that is basically the biggest size you can get in most stores without moving up the waist size and having them fall off. So I was shopping around online and came across these ... noticed they came in not just a size long, but a X long size too. Since I was so desperate to actually buy a pair of ... fit me I went ahead and bought them right away. After I got them I was VERY happy with them. They fit me in all the right places and the only thing I noticed was that the waist came up a little higher. Not very high, just a little more than I am used to. I think the reason why I am so used to low ... because I always had to pull them down and wear them lower so I could actually get some more length out of them. This also messed up the butt part and made it all saggy. Not with these ... They are plenty long and when wearing them the come just over my heels. I am really happy that I don't have to wear a belt with it either. These ... must for anyone with my body type. They are a little expensive for some people, but it is worth every cent. I can definitely tells that I will be wearing these ... while.

Nice boot ... Size down!
These ... fabulous. I will admit that I normally don't buy Gap ... because in a previous life, I spent way too much money on Gap ... ended up being tossed for one reason or another. For the past couple of years, I have worn a brand of "premium" ... absolutely love, but this winter, I was looking for a pair of ... could wear with my tall boots - skinny, long enough but not too long, and not "premium" prize. These ... fit the bill! I am 5'10" ,157 lbs with a lean athletic build. I normally wear a size 6 but I got a 4 long and they work perfectly. I can't wear these ... ballet flats because they're not long enough (they look like ankle ... but they are great for tucking into boots. Not too much extra fabric. I washed them to get rid of the excess blue dye and getting them on afterwards was a battle, but I got them on within about 3-4 hours and they really stretched out! The thighs and legs still fit perfectly, but I definitely needed to get a belt. Definitely size down. You may have to fight to get into them at first, but they stretch out to fit. I guess the key is to see if the waistband fits, the rest will stretch to fit. Good deal!

Fabulous!
These ... do everything a girl wants and then some! I am petite and finding well fitting skinny ... has been a challenge. Gap got these just right. Don't let the snug fit of skinny ... scare you away because these hold you in in ALL the right places. Although I am petite, I have a very round derriere. These ... lift and minimize to make me look perfectly proportioned. Also, the dark wash really helps lengthen the legs and visually slenderizes the frame. The only minor drawback is that after wearing for a few hours these ... really stretch out, so I recommend ordering one size down. Thank you GAP for designing these fashionable ... REAL women and for remembering us petite gals too. Ladies run, don't walk to your nearest GAP before these are gone!

Love these!
I've owned a couple Gap ... - this is the best dark wash. The ... do tend to stretch out after a lot of wear, but I felt this one did not stretch out as much as the lighter stretch always skinny I own. Buy the ... bit tighter, in case of stretch. I usually wear Regular length, but for my tall boots the ankle hit just right on length for the Gap ... fit better into my ...

Converted from Old Navy to Gap ...
I've always been to Old Navy for my ... had to get them tailored to make them skinny ... So my ... really cost $50 in order to make them perfect. When I'm in the perfect ... (snug, comfortable, and stylish) I feel like I can do anything! Gap ... were the solutions to almost all the problems I've had with Old Navy ... Gap ... do not sag on the rear, hug all the right curves, and i love the darker denim colors. I've never tried on Gap ... before because they are way out of my budget and I didn't think they would look good on me, boy was I wrong! I not only bought these skinny ... but also bought the jeggings (jean leggigs, which run a size small). No more Old Navy ... me! I'm sticking with Gap! But I still have to get them tailored because they are four inches too long for me :(

Perfect for tucking in boots
I ordered these, as well as the Real Straight ... specifically to tuck inside my boots cleanly. I am NOT a fan of skinny ... all, but knew I needed a pair for boots only. The Real Straight ... were not skinny enough - they had bunching and puckering at the tops of my boots. The Always Skinny ... worked much better (although in my opinion look positively ridiculous NOT tucked in to boots!). My only recommendation is the length - I'm 5'11" and always buy my ... Tall. These are REALLY long and that long length is kind of a problem for tucking in boots, it's hard to get them to lay flat when they are pooling at your feet. I have to pull them all the way under my heel and then I'm walking on the heel of the ... - which isn't comfortable! But they definitely serve their purpose. Make sure you get them on sale if this is your only purpose for them!

Jegging or Jean?
I ordered these ... because I have been looking for a pair to replace another pair by a different brand that I literally wore to the ground. I have been searching for a replacement for over a year and someone suggested checking out Gap ... along with two other brands. I had to order online as I need a longer length - I was slightly dissapointed when I recieved my package. These ... more like jeggings to me than ... They feel like they have a lot of spandex/lycra in them and they are thinner than what I'd want them to be. For a similar price I ended up buying ... two other retailers and the are ... not jeggings. The color looks a bit ashy to me as well, not as dark and rich as the picture portrays. On the plus side the fit was pretty good, very comfortable (but I guess that's what I'd expect from a jegging) and the length was great for my long legs - I could even wear heels with this pair. I'll probably give Gap ... another try, but this style is just not what I'm looking for so they went back to the store.

Tight and sexy to baggy and frumpy in an hour.... These pants strecht into a saggy mess.
I ordered the tall style and am excited to have a pair of ... fit my 36" inseam. Being able to wearing ... sneakers instead of boots to hide the "sock gap" is pretty great. BUT they really, really do stretch out. I tried on a pair of non tall always skinny ... store and the 12 fit perfectly. After reading the reviews I ordered a size down to a 10 and when they came in the mail I had the best fitting long, tight sexy ... hour. These ... went from tight and sexy to saggy and baggy in no time. I should have ordered down two sizes to an 8. I am disappointed that my new cute ... now my new frumpy ... THEY REALLY STRETCH OUT. ORDER DOWN ONE OR TWO SIZES.

Instead of spending ... usual [$] on ... got three pairs of ... less! ... look great and all ... friends keep asking who makes ... because ... so well made and cut really well. I love ... couple years ... weren't very fashionable or trendy. But now ... again! ... also plenty ... bought the Talls) and I'm 5'11"!

After breaking ... quite nice
When I first purchased ... weren't everything I hoped ... would be. The fabric felt awkward and the proportions just "one off" for ... frame (I bought the ... size). The whiskering on the hips was odd because it gave the effect of broadening ... hips at the widest point. However, after wearing ... few weeks, they've become ... favorite ... along with the medium tint boot cut ... Both styles ... like a glove now that I've broken ... get lots of compliments on ... especially from other ... women who want to know where I got ... cute ...

FINALLY
At 6'2" I hardly ever find ... enough let alone ... don't shrink in the wash (um, hello there are women over 5'11"). ... yet to shrink after a number washes (unlike previous ... smoken' hot!! Trust me, the compliments will definitely come rolling in!! I do not ... hips (nor a booty), so those with a curvier frame may ... much different opinion of ... not a thick fabric as other reviewers stated, but I'm always cold and living in Northern Ohio I ... yet to complain...which is saying a lot!! Plus, I love that ... low rise, but not the fall off your butt showing way too much skin low rise- thank you!!!

Great ... Women
At 6' ... it's hard to find ... enough. I ordered an extra ... am able to wear heals if I want. ... well in the waist, hips and thighs, giving a slimming effect. I will enjoy ... time.

VANITY SIZING!?
I am 5'4" and 100lbs. After a ... ordeal of ordering a 2 (too big), and trying to exchange ... smaller size, ... still too big. I ended up settling with a 0P, and the butt and thighs are loose and by the end of the day I am pulling ... pants up. I tried a 00 in the store, ... that's way too tight. I really need a happy medium. Also, ... too ... end up cuffing the bottoms so ... don't drag. I can't imagine what the 5 foot women do! For the price, the material should be heavier. I feel like I will wear through the knees in ... very quickly.

Legs too ...
Even though ... petite ... way too ... There are a lot of women who are shorter than 5' 1". I am personally 4'10". The cut of ... not made for hemming up the legs. Once the legs are hemmed up, the balance of the pant is off and your legs end up looking even shorter because the ... hug the knees too much. There should be a way to make the ... so ... friendly to hemming up the pant legs. Or ... option of selling petite short pants. I see a lot of women who go around with pant legs that are too ...

I wish ... didn''t strech out so much
I'm ... love ... because ... enough for me (I'm 5'10 and the regular longs seem to be the right length. The talls are too ... HOWEVER- ... strech and by the end of the day are about a size bigger than when I put ... morning. This most recent pair I ordered, I went a size down (Usually an 8 and ordered a 6... I ordered an 8 last december and by MArch ... were baggy and a pair to just wear around the house). The 6's ... already streched a bit after 1 day. Because I like the ... look good when ... new..... I might buy several pairs and just keep one 'new' to wear for special events, or the occasional 'date night' with ... husband and ... another pair to wear daily that will just be ... house pants. Wish it wasn't this way....... ... expenxive ... only be able to wear a few times...

for women with curvy thighs
this ... right color, the right weight ... just ... too loose in the thigh area. i carry more weight in the waist and ... thin legs. ... were too loose in thighs. i also think the price is a bit high...really now. ... going back. also, bell bottom is wide so if you are wearing a high heel you should get the longer length.

I thought the ... were soft and very high quality. Hoever, ... were a bit high in the waist, and definately designed for a more "pear shap" women. ... came in a bit too much in the waist (to prevent gaping). I don't ... problem with gaping due to ... shape, so ... just weren't right for me.

In LOVE!
Oh Gap...you finally did it! I've struggled with gap ... few years, trying on a million pairs and holding out - and they've made it worth my while! I love these ... they are so on trend with the season! I'm 5'6" with shorter legs, and will warn that these are extremely long - requiring my highest of heels...but that's what I like to wear with wide leg ... anyway. They do wonderful things for your backside, and fit comfortably true to size. The description states that these are high rise, but I really find them to sit lower on the hips, like a traditional trouser jean - and very flattering in the front and back. Definitely not high waisted like some of their other flare styles. The dark wash is dressy, goes great with silky tunics tucked in for spring! I love these ... bottom flare is REALLY wide, and I feel a little silly when I look down at them. But when I look in the mirror, it's a different story - they're perfect!!

I bought the 1969 trouser ... wasn't quite sure if they would be worth the price, but they absolutely were!!! I've lost some weight and most of my ... were too big and I bought a 2P and they fit like a glove!! I was concerned if they'd fit as good or look as good after I washed & dried them they & they do. I bought a similar jean from Old Navy and washed & dried them and they did shrink so now I have a pair of ... could only wear once. But the Gap 1969 trouser ... best I've ever worn. I will definitely recommend them to my family & friends.

Finally...a pair of Gap jeans that fit me!!
I have been looking for a nice pair of dark trouser jeans to replace my favorite AE trouser jeans that are worn out. I normally walk right past Gap stores because I haven't been able to wear thier jeans/pants since I was in highschool. I loved thier khakis and jeans in the mid late 90s, but then they changed the fit and thier 0 was too small, but the 2 and 4 were way too loose. Went shopping with my friend yesterday and she wanted to go to Gap - so glad we did! These jeans are PERFECT! The seem to run a tad large, but no matter. I am 5'6", wear anything from a 0 - 4 (depending on the store) and the 00 (24") regular fits like a glove. The waist is just right and the little bit of stretch makes the jeans hug my hips perfectly. Like one reviewer said, these may not work for more curvy girls - but they fit my athletic figure great. If Gap keeps making jeans like these, they may have just brought back an old customer!

LOVE THEM!!!
I'm just under 5'7 and weigh about 120lbs. I've tried different pairs of 1969 ... honest, the sizing is not consistent among the line and I can't be sure what's "true to size" for Gap. I can wear anything from a 00 to a size 2, but in this particular style of ... fit a 00. The size 0 fit, but was a bit roomy in the thighs and waist. These fit perfectly in the thighs, but are a teensy bit too tight in the waist, but because they are stretchy, I think I'll be fine. Like others have mentioned these ... super long, they're so long that I can wear my 3 1/2 platform wedges and still have my shoes covered...which for me is a plus. Usually I have to buy the tall or long ... get that effect and usually those are too long for me. Also, these are most definitely NOT wide leg ... They're more like flares/bell bottoms. This may be a problem for those who want a wide leg jean. But since I was looking for something similar to the flares that Emmanuelle Alt was wearing on the Sartorialist, I was very happy.

perfect
I'm 6", 150 pounds, take size 6 in Gap ... these ... PERFECT. Comfortable around the waist - not too tight, no gapping at the back, good rise for wearing under shirts or tucking them in. Slim fitting around the bum & thighs - very flattering, but not too tight. The bellbottom is very flattering, as it balanced my height. I have two pairs of these ... - one in X Tall length for wearing with heels, and another X Tall that I took up an inch, for wearing with boots and flats. The material is lighter than regular denim, but I live in subtropics and its perfect for me - regular ... just too hot, even in winter. Waiting for a sale now, to stock up on a few more pairs, just in case Gap is going to get rid of this style! :)

I just wanted to comment on the excellent fit of ... season! I started purchasing ... once again from the GAP and I am quite impressed. Not all women have tiny waists, wide hips and larger thighs. The new fit of ... actually flatters my athletic shape. Please do not go back to your old fit for ...

Extremely Long
After reading the reviews on these and how long they were, I thought the Tall size be perfect for me seeing as I'm 6-feet tall. However, these ... almost too long for me! I've never had such a long pair of ... before. I don't mind though. They do drag on the ground so I can see how that might bother some people. I'm just happy that they aren't at my ankles like most ... If I put a pair of wedges on, the bottom of the ... just barely touch the ground, completely hiding my shoes. They also streched out at the waist within a matter of hours, but I think they'll be fine when I wash them. I probably could have sized down.

super cute; super long!
I really like these ... No matter how I try to embrace skinny ... jeggings I keep coming back to wide leg, trouser, and flared ... gap makes great options in all of these styles. The only issue is that Gap recently began making all of their tall ... 37 to 38 inch inseam. I am 6 feet tall and even with 3 inch heels these are too long :( I have to have them hemmed. For that reason I will never buy their tall ... unless they are marked down, since I have to add another $10 to $15 to have them hemmed. That said, it's worth it if you get a deal and too long is much better than too short!! All in all these are really cute, true to size, nice wash, and highly versatile. Oh I will say when you look closely at the denim it doesn't look very "premium." I got them on sale so that's ok with me (and it is upon close inspection only), however if I'd paid full price I would have been slightly disappointed in that aspect. All in all though, I give them a thumbs up!

pleased but not satisfied
I can honestly say that I am a Gap jean lover and these ... were a tad bit different from the other ... like them but not as much as I like my other ... I've purchased from Gap. I wish you guys could go back to making good quality ... heavier material. Overall, these ... comfortable but not exactly what I was hoping for.

No too happy
... nice overall but are too short for the petite length plus they got shorter after one wash :(,and way too long for the regular size jeans.Why is that GAP,can't you make normal ... am 5'4" tall and always the petite size are short and the regular too long. I do not think that people come in extremely short or too tall. I am always in between lengths and it sucks.Jeans style is nice but the rise is a little high so when you sit the ... bunch up and when you get up you need to pull them down,not happy with that either.So be aware if you are 5'4" do not buy the petite. I am returning these ...

wanted to love but....
ultimately I had to return. I really loved the pants in theory and wanted some boho style flare ... wear an16/18 and got the 18 since im a little "hippy." The materail is thin, not your typical weight of ... but I liked that they were lightweight and stretchy which made them very comfy. My complaints are that the butt looked funny because of this thin material and the placement of the pockets. The pants got baggy in the butt and waist and I could have just pulled them right off without un buttoning. The other problem is the lenght/bell bottoms. I am 5'11" and the pants just hit the floor barefoot. Being so tall I don't wear heels and had I kept them and walked around outside I'm sure they would have dragged on the ground in the back. Plus the bell bottoms are so wide it was like having wings from the knee down. When I walked they would flap against each other and I was afraid I might trip in these LOL SO my hunt for ... continue. I miss the RED ESSENTIAL ... GAP!!!!!!! Bring those back please :) I don't know what is going on with these new cuts but it's not working for me or others!

THE BEST ... I''VE EVER WORN
These ... PERFECT. They fit me perfectly and I have a hard time finding ... because I have really long legs and a big butt but a flat stomach. Most ... if you have a big butt, they assume you have a big stomach too so the front is always too loose for me. But these ... PERFECT. I think it's the 2% spandex in them. They hug my curves in all the right places and make me look tall and thin with a nice butt, not thick and wearing baggy ... like most other ... make me look and feel. I seriously wear these almost every day and they go with everything. The only bummer is, based on these ... bought the light wash too, and they're not as perfect. I think they only have 1% spandex in the light wash and it makes a HUGE difference. Also they're cut higher, sort of like granny ... But the dark wash is THE BEST.

True to the size chart....
This is the first time I have ever purchased anything from GAP. As a tall larger girl, I do not think of GAP first when I think of where I am going to buy ... Recently the zipper in my favorite ... broke... I was heart broken. So I began my search for a pair of pants long enough. Tall is not an easy find in the market of today. I had been everywhere and could find nothing when I happened upon your website in my Google search of tall ... told you I was at my wits end) and I decided to see what there was. I checked out the sizing chart and matched my measurements to it. I am a 16T and the length on these ... amazing. They fit me like a glove. The only place I had an issue was the thighs. I had to do the wiggle but they fit wonderfully everywhere else. I highly recommend these ... would of never thought that I would recommend GAP ... material is soft but still ... They just look good and make me look good. I highly suggest these ...

THESE ARE GREAT ...
I just started wearing these ... 3 years ago--I'm in my 50's and have always run, worked out, etc so I am slim, though previous ... were always hard to buy as they didn't flatter my backside. These ... absolutely flattering. I'm 5'8" tall and the regular length is perfect. I can't tell you how many girls in their 20's have told me how good the ... look on me--THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME! Also, the weight of the fabric is perfect for wearing year round--they're soft and not so heavy that ... not comfortable in spring and summer I wear them year round. It's the only ... wear now...makes my life much easier as shopping for ... no picnic.

BEST ... EVER!!
I have both the dark and light wash and these are the PERFECT ... am almost 6ft, 150lbs, size 8Tall and these are the ... reach for in my cupboard every time! I have other designer ... but these are the most comfortable, versatile (not lots of detail on the pockets) ... own. The dark wash is slimming and can be dressed up for a smart casual evening and the light wash is great for casual. Every time I travel these 2 ... go with me! The fabric is just the right thickness - not too thick or thin, the waist height is flattering as it looks on the low side but isn't... I think the key is the wide waistband, it prevents the muffin top look and even my more fitted t shirts look great!! I have very long legs and love the Tall length, it's just right as I can wear it with heels. When I first buy them they are tight fitting, but I know they will stretch out after wearing them a few times and they always end up fitting exactly right. Well done Gap on these ... they are the BEST. Please don't ever discontinue them.. you have a WINNER!!

Rear View
I am 5'9 160lbs... orginally ordered 2 pairs of these in a dark wash and the lightest wash last fall. I am curvy through the hips but have no rear end add that to being tall and jus a bit of a tummy, its hard to find ... flatter me. The dark ... fit like a glove! The rise and wider waistband perfectly conceals a lil tummy without giving you muffin top and jus low enough to look hip ... not like mom ... Fabric is heavy enough to hug your curves and hold you in without being stiff... I actually have a rear end in these ... have tried all kinds of ... recommended for my non existent backside sometimes paying $200 and none of them fit as well as these. I ordered a 12 long and they are the perfect length with heels. The color is perfect for dressing up or down.To preserve the color I usually wear ... couple times before I was them and these fit as good the 2nd time as they did the first.The light wash however...was absolutely horrible, not at all like my beloved dark ones and had to be returned to the store, the cashier told me that the light wash tended to be thinner fabric, run big and are often returned. Please people if you are going to take the time to write a review list your height and weight and be descriptive of color and why you ated them or loved them... jus saying these are awesome or I hate these had to return doesnt help anyone! I am ordering another pair today in regular length to wear with tennis shoes n flats! Good Luck ... wearers ... May you find your perfect pair... these are mine!

Perfect tall ...
First, I want to say I buy all my ... Gap because it's practically the only place where I can find ... long enough. Also, I love the way these ... fit. I love the fact that the waist doesn't sit too low, yet it doesn't sit too high either. It still sits below the belly button, which is sexy. I am tired of all the low rise pants out there. They do not flatter most women. I am 5'11" and weigh150lbs. I'm not skinny (anymore), but I am not considered overweight either and low rise jeansmake look and feel fat. You have to be a stick for low rise ... look right. I also like the material of these ... They seem softer than the old gap ... So, Gap, thank you very much for given me, the consumer, just what I want in ...

Best ... Have Found to Date
These have been the best ... I've found to date (I liked the curvy cut also). I have tried all the big name brands out there. I tend to carry a little extra flesh in my lower waist and these have been the only ... give me a nice clean look through the lower waist and hip and not give me the horrid "muffin top." If I find pants to fit in the hip, the waist is too small and visa/versa. There is more coverage in the rise which is great (although I would like to see the back a touch higher, but an improvement over last years cut). I'm almost 50, 6ft tall, active and ride horses and these ... nice for riding. Great for casual fridays in the office, going out for dinner, etc, etc. The denim is not heavy and stiff which I prefer. The ... come extra long which is great if you ride and if not you can hem them. I personally cannot say enough about these ... wear them everyday.

A review of the old versus the new materials....
I have a love/hate relationship with these ... First, the love: this fit is (usually) fabulous. I am 5'3", 112, 36" hip, pear shaped with a "bubble" posterior. It has been nearly impossible to find ... flattering and comfortable for under $170/pair. These really look great and the price is reasonable. Now, the hate: Gap is so inconsistent with their sizing. This is a real pain for those of us that live 40+ miles from the nearest Gap store. I own a pair in 2A that I had bought in a retail store. They fit pretty well, a touch roomy after a few hours wear which works fine for my lifestyle most of the time chasing my kids. They measure 29.5" inseam and the boot is almost a flare so I can only wear flat shoes with them. I decided to order a 0 regular (and that also brings me to my other hate which is that 0 doesn't even COME in an ankle - makes NO sense) because I wanted a pair to wear with heels for going out/wanted them to fit more snug than my 2's. The new ones are an 80% cotton/19% poly/1% spandex blend. I thought I would hate that but they actually don't feel any different than the 98/2 blend which I'm happy about. I'm hoping that means they don't stretch as much with wear. BUT....the 0 regular is ridiculously long. They measure 34" inseam. Yes - the regular inseam is 34" and the ankle is 29.5". That is such a wide variance, it should only be 2-3" between inseam lengths. So if I keep this particular pair, I have to get them shortened to 32". I also found that the 0 regular fits the same in the waist as the 2A I own (which is a little big so I get a gap in the back when I sit) but is more snug in the thigh (which you would expect in a smaller size and what I wanted....just wish the waist would have been smaller as well). I know there are many reviews commenting on the sizing inconsistencies so I may just order another pair and hope that they come a little smaller. It's just so ridiculous that I even have to do that, though, and then spend $6 to return the ones that don't work. Oh well. When will a designer make ... women the way they do for men....to pick our waist size AND our inseam length and not only have 3 inseam lengths to choose from? In a perfect world, Gap would make these ... without the inconsistencies in size and would offer them at least 5 inseam lengths. That would be so nice! I will say, though, that these are the only ... fit me in an affordable price range so I guess I can't be too picky! Please, Gap, don't stop making this style. More washes would be much appreciated, too!

Random sizing....
I love these ... fit. I have to agree with another review...the sizing of Gap ... lately is so random! I ordered a size 8, which is my size, and it was way too small. Returned those at the store to find that a size 8 in the store fit perfectly. I have had to return many ... lately, only to exchange them for the same size...but that actually ... store employee who seemed frustrated at my comment about the randomness of the sizing said, in a not so nice tone, "well...all of our ... hand made"...ok...but can the size 8 be handmade in a size 8? The length is another story! "Regular" seems to be made for tall runway models while a "short" is like 6 inches shorter!!! Thankfully...I am still able to locate a pair that fit...but it has become very inconvenient and if I can find a store with consistent sizing and nice fitting ... switch to that brand.

HORRIBLE ...
these ... absolutely HORRIBLE! i have no ... fit, i just can't find ... anywhere. after reading the reviews, i thought i would give these a try, they sounded like they would be great. WRONG! the denim is the cheapest quality junk! thin and cheap, there's no other way to describe the material. the butt just doesn't fit right - the ... make it look like your butt is smooshed, and then of course the pockets are all wrong too - the bottom of the pocket comes halfway down the back of my legs, so makes my butt look twice as big as it is. then of course, the thing that petite women always have to deal with, is the massive gap at the back of the waist - the thing that these ... supposed to get rid of. what the hell?! these will be shipped back TOMORROW and i'll never try ... gap again!

WAY TOO SMALL!!!
I have a 14XL pair of ... I've had for awile and I wanted to get a new pair in this nice darker shade. I need the 36" inseam, I am six feet tall! I ordered a 16XL since I heard these were running small....I couldn't even get them on!! Don't get these ... unsless you order 3 or 4 sizes bigger, just so you can get them on. Really GAP??? Why are you making your ... so small? Enough with the matchstick skinny girl ... have enough of those in here why cant you make ... rest of us? Stay true to the size, we need Real ... Real Women!!!! Great for moms and apple shapes!
After having a child, none of ... old ... suffered through ill fitting ... since I could not find anything better in stores. In desperate need of new ... ran into a GAP while ... husband and daughter were on the mall carousel. The sales lady was wonderful in guiding me to the right pair and to buy them a bit tight since ... would loosen a bit as ... wore in. She was right! I've broken them in and ... fabulously! I am somewhat tall (5'8") and the leg length is perfect for sneakers. For me to wear a heel or a boot I would need to get a Tall size, but that is normal for me. The rise is perfect to hide the mommy tummy. The waist does not really cut in so if you have more of an hourglass figure, ... probably won't be the ... but ... perfect if you ... straight waist or are apple shaped like me.

THIN. ... have never used a heavy denim, I think we all wish ... would. 2.They stretch as you wear them! ... go up by one whole size, so order a size smaller than you try on. 3. Gap ... run large. Talls are WAYYYYYY too ...
I love the style of ... am too ... wear the regular length. ... 1/2 inch to an inch too short so I ordered the ... am 5'-10". Well, ... must be made for someone 6'-2" or taller. I haven't figured out what to do yet. I am probably going to take them somewhere to get hemmed but then the fading doesn't match around the new hem. I really don't want to return them because ... really cute and ... good elsewhere.

I like the sexy boot better, I feel like it allowed ... silhouette to show more than ... waist size is larger than ... leg size, but I really feel like ... legs are swimming in ... (especially by midday, because ... definitely stretch out). I've thrown them in the dryer a few times and I think that helps. I wish ... were a little more lightweight, but overall they're very comfortable and soft. Ordering a smaller size might be a good idea for most women.

I'm ordering ... lighter wash that I can wear during the day. All the people complaining about the ... being too ... obviously never heard of a tailor. KEEP MAKING ... A fabulous ... curvy women with small waists
Finally! A pair of ... small waist and as well as curvy hips and rear. Best of all, the waist does not ... backside does not hang out. The wide boot leg balances out ... hips and makes ... legs look longer (I'm only 5'4" and I ordered the Ankle length - a perfect length for me). I've received some wonderful compliments on ... negative comment is the that the first pair I bought only lasted a couple weeks before one of the knees ripped. I love that the inseam is 33" not 32" and is perfect for me to wear with regular shoes(I'm 5'9.5"), and I got the ... wear with heels. I am a size 10, but the waist and hips on regular 10s dig into ... flesh and hurt to wear for very ... 12s are just too loose. ... curvy ... great for ... love handles and the material, while being thinner than I'd prefer, is flattering on the waistband - it doesn't bunch your rolls over the edge, it's a tad stretchier than regular ... wish ... offered the curvy option in the straight ... other ... not just this one boot cut. I ordered ... online, because I wear Talls (I'm 5'11"). The first thing I noticed was the denim- it is thinner than I expected and very soft. The ... bit too ... me and the hem drags on the ground just slightly. After only 3 wearings, the hems are already wearing out and starting to fray. Guess I will ... hemmed. When I first tried ... didn't really like them- I felt like the ... drew attention to ... crotch. The thin denim kinda bunched there, plus the zipper is a little higher up than I am used to on ... other ... thought ... looked like "Mom" ... first, but ... husband didn't think so. I kept trying them on, at different times, to decide if I was going to keep them or not, and the more I tried them on, the more I liked ... VERY comfortable, and ... do look good.These ... high enough rise that ... hold all ... smooshy post baby belly in, and eliminate the dreaded "muffin top." I would like ... lot better if ... were made of thicker, more durable denim. But ... flattering and very comfy to wear.

... curvy ... don't seem to be made for real curvy women. I loved the curvy ... were designed circa 2006. The curvy ... last year, and this year, are cut much slimmer through the hips. I thought the legs ... fine, but the hips and waist were tight. If I went up a size for hips/waist then the legs would be too big. I also don't care for the low rise. I won't be buying ... again.

Love love love ...
The first time I bought a pair of curvy ... last fall when my favorite pair of ... bit the dust. I usually bought levis because their inseams are longer (I'm tall, 5,10") and ... have stretch which I like because I'm a lady of color and have a bit of a booty, but I was starting to get annoyed with the fact that every time I wanted to buy a new pair of Levis I had to try on every pair in my size because almost every set of ... different (no matter the style/number). I didn't feel like spending all day in the dressing room so when I saw that Gap carried a ... curvy style I thought that I'd give it a try. I slipped on a size 6 and was instantly in love. It was long enough to cover the length of my legs without looking stupid and short, and it had stretch and a shape that accentuated my curves without a giant gap at the back, or fitting some places and not in others forcing me to go up/down a size. And my favorite part about ... consistency! I ordered a second pair online a year later and ... still ... perfectly in all the ways I loved. I am totally buying more of ... Match made in heaven

Great ...
I love this ... provide a great ... am plus size (16) with a bit of junk in the trunk. ... look and feel great on me. The ... fitted but not tigh at all and even loosen up a bit due to the stretch. I don't like my ... too tight so it works well for me. While I'm not tall by any means I do have longer legs. If the ... advertised as a 31" or above inseam then I will go for the long instead of the regular. I went with regular in ... length is fine. The lower rise was perfect. The button closure of the ... sits just below ... belly button. The waist is still just a touch big on me but the ... does not suffer. When I bend, there is no gap in the back that has me tugging at ... get up. This is a pretty good little ... would recommend them to anyone who is curvy.

I love, love, love these ... great. I just lost some weight and had to order a smaller size, 12tall. These ... tend to run a bit larger than the Perfect Bootcut (which I also love) since ... curvy ... My height 6ft, waist is a 32, Hip 41 1/2. I like my ... my curves nicely, not tight, tight. I wear my ... lounging, going out, and riding horses (nice long leg to cover boots while riding) so I need comfort. I wear my ... out until ... rags, I have Gap ... six years ago that I still mend holes in to this day. The origianl Flare, love those too. Being tall, my only wish is that the newer ... were a tad bit higher in the rise (not mom ... but that would be it.....just a nice fitting ... Great dark colors. Maybe I'll lose enough weight to get a size 10!!!!!!!

I love ... past 5-6 years I have been spending too much money on designer ... such as 7 for all Mankind and J Brand looking for a flattering ... me (I'm thin but not that tall (5'4) and I have a long torso). Bottom line - ... win over the Sevens hands down! ... stretch in all the right places without losing their shape, particularly in the waist/hip area (which had been a problem with the stretchier Sevens in my case, as ... all tend to stretch out at the waist); plus, the way they're cut definitely flatters my shorter legs and elongates them. In short, I'm done with Sevens: I'm going back to Gap for all my ... purchases!!

I am always looking for ... just the right ... am 6" tall and love ... ordered the size 6 and ... were true to size. The extra long were exactly what I was looking for as well. I love the color. The darker ... look dressier than lighter washed ... so ... work well for 'dress down' Friday's'. ... also perfect for going out with your hubby or wearing causal. I am a busy mom of two active children and I also appreciate not having to pull my pants up everytime I sit or squat down! Thank you GAP!

TERRIFIC! However I wear sizes 00 and 0r in ... normally, I'm a size 3-5. So I would HIGHLY suggest experimenting at a store to find your size then ordering your faves online.

I need 36" inseam ... I'm six feet tall....and ... hard to find. I have ... gap in a 14 XL that ... wonderfully...and heard the newer style was running small, so I got a 16XL....I couldn't even get them on!!! Are you kidding me GAP? I have been a loyal Gap fan for ... years. I am tall 5'11" and ... always had ... were long enough. Now however, I have to order ... online, ... no longer carry a 12L in stores. Why? Tall people have to buy ... too! I bought 4 pairs of the Gap premium denim a few years ago and, decided it was time to get new ... had to order 5 pairs online so I could figure out what was going to ... 5 pairs of ... [$] a pop is not cheap. That was the first strike for GAP. When the ... finally arrived I was so disappointed about the quality of the fabric. It seemed more stretch and less ... felt thin and flimsy, like the first time you sit down in them they'll split. Strike 2. I have been a size 12 in GAP ... 5 years so I had naturally ordered that size. These ... were so tight ... gave me a horrible muffin top! Strike 3. Sorry GAP, you're over priced and the quality of your product is now horrible. I wont be buying from them again. Maybe there is someone who will keep ... tall people in store.

great ... but needed one size up
Love this ... but I ordered one size larger than I normally wear in ... after I tried the new bootcut ... not even close to ... me. Sad to say this size ... perfect (just like ... smaller sized old ... jeans)...problem is most if not all women do not like to go up a size in any clothing especiialy ... also very ... am 5'8 and I had to ... 3" taken off...but it was worth it because ... great color and are very flattering.

Inconsistent sizing
I bought ... before and ... pretty well - still a ... waist - maybe that's why the store is called the ... - all their ... waist! When I bought this pair in the same size ... were very tight through the thighs - much more like skinny ... first pair was perfectly straight. I wish ... would focus more on quality control and consistent sizing. I you want their ... MUST go try ... store - which leaves us ... thin girls out since ... don't carry talls anymore in the store and every pair you order online ... differently - even the exact same model, size and wash!!!!

made ... butt look ... wide and flat
I wanted to love ... front, I did. But the back side was another matter. I am very proud of ... curvy behind -- it's ... best asset. (And by curvy, I do not mean fat -- ... waist is 25, and ... hips are 36. I'm 5'4" ... can get away with leggings and running tights, and get whistles when I'm wearing ... But ... gave me a ... flat, wide, behind and shortened ... legs. ... made it look like ... butt went straight down into ... thighs, and completely took away the nice in curve I ... going between ... think it is the pockets. ... very large and go way down onto the thighs. Maybe that works for ... women with no butt -- I don't know. But it definitely didn't work for me.

not even close to the dark wash :-(
the cut of ... so flippin' fantastic that i thought, hey, why not buy a second pair. the first pair was purchased in store so i was able to see the dark wash in person; very dark. thinking that dark wash in the same pair of ... store is the same as dark wash in the SAME PAIR OF ... online, i bought a second pair. ... creating white fade marks up and down the thigh and butt is not a dark wash, it's distressed. and if you want to make women feel good about their shapes, don't add fade stripes that only exaggerate the width of one's thighs. very mid-2000s.

My new go to ...
I wore the Long and Lean ... waaaay back in middle school and they were okay then, but later switched to Lucky Brand because I could buy them x long and xx long(I'm 5'11). Anyway I wore Lucky's FORVER! A couple years ago Lucky's stopped carring any ... even Long...kept saying to look online, well they didn't even have them online! They told me to look in the Buckle, well most of those stores dropped Lucky from there inventory. Well I'd had enough and dreaded the idea of finding new ... 1.) I can NEVER find them long enough. 2.) I can't spend $200!! Anyway this fall I decided to try Gap's Long & Lean especially when I saw their 1960 campaign. I fell in LOVE! I bought two pairs both in Long and they have been great. However I did notice I need to start ordering them online in Tall if I want to wear boots or heels. But the Long length is good for every day and work etc. That's the only downfall, I have to order them online to get them in Tall, but I'm no where near a Gap store so I guess it doesn't matter It's sad to hear so many long time customers are upset with the new ... because I think they are fabulous! The fabric IS a little on the thin/overly stretchy side but they hold up well during the day for me! The price is also wonderful! I say give them a try!

Long and Lean: they really are new and improved!
I have always loved the Long and Lean style ... Gap, because I am tall (six feet in shoes) and pear shaped, with generously curvy hips and thighs. These new Long and Lean ... fit even better than the old ones, and the waist is not too low for an older woman like me. The dark wash is dressy enough for casual Friday at work, as well as going out on the weekends. These ... fit true to size and the long length was plenty long enough for me. In short, these are fashionable ... modest enough to look good on any woman, no matter what her age, and the price is pretty reasonable too.

Love my ...
I am 5'11 so it is very hard for me to find a ... both fits my length and accentuates my figure, I tried on the long and lean ... store and fell in love with the fit! I never have to worry about sitting down and the ... gapping. I purchase mines exclusively online because I have to have XLong tall but I am secure in knowing that each time my ... arrive they will be a perfect fit! I already have 5 pairs, just waiting for new colors to come out. I LOVE LOVE GAP LONG AND LEAN ...

At 5'11" tall it is very hard for me to find a nice pair of ... look great and are long enough. This pair of long and lean ... provide both. I am actually thinking of ordering another pair before my size is sold out. If you are looking for a great pair of ... true to size, buy these ...

My Favorite ...
I'm tall, 5'8" and have always had trouble finding ... fit properly. I'm thin, but I don't have a tiny waist. I love these ... because they rise just below the natural waist line, but not too low that they are uncomfortable and having to be concious of your backside. These ... true to their name, Long and Lean. These ... give a slimming look and yet extremely comfortable. These ... run a little long, which is fine by me. They look wonderful in high heels or boots. Because of the look and comfort, these are my absolute favorite ... I'm actually wearing them now as I type this review.

Great fit, but terrible fabric
Despite many years of try ons, I never had luck finding Gap ... fit--I'm tall (5'10") and pear shaped, and I want ... have a bit of a flare to balance out my thighs and butt, and fit closely but not super tight. I would have thought the curvy fit would be better, but I have tried both and the Curvy ... gap at the waist. So, I am thrilled at the fit of the Long and Leans (I never tried the old ones, only the new 1969 ones), but the denim is TERRIBLE. I just ordered my fourth pair in less than a year, because the fabric wears through so quickly. It also stretches out, so the only time the ... really fit perfectly is right out of the dryer. I tried on a size 14, thinking that w/the stretch that would be about right, but they're too small--I think b/c there's a 2" difference in the waist b/w sizes 14 and 16, while the other sizes have a smaller difference (usually 1"). Anyway. I will probably keep ordering these, at least until I can fit into a size 14 long in anything else (my old favorite J.Crew ... were discontinued), but please, GAP, consider using heavier gauge denim! These ... not your cheapest--the construction should live up to the price.

Disappointment
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in Gap. I am 5'10" and therefore must wear LONG length ... pants. I cannot tell you how upsetting it is to go into an actual Gap store and not be able to purchase ... store, because my size is not offered, in talls, at the stores. It is upsetting, beyond belief, as I know I am not the only girl to deal with this issue. (It also affects those who need "shorts" in ... pants, as well.) So, instead, because I am tall and have a 34" inseam, I must pay shipping costs, in order to have ... actually fit me, length wise. Honestly, if "Long and Lean" and "Perfect Boot" didn't fit me so well, I would never shop at the Gap again. It is not bad enough to have to spend [$] on ... but then to be penalized for needing talls, is simply ridiculous. ~becky12778[@]

too tight
Unfortunately, I decided to order these ... despite others' reviews of the ... had owned GAP Long and Lean ... past and absolutely loved them. I had to immediately reutrn the ... ordered online last week. I purchased a size 10 in two different washes of the Long and Lean ... dark wash is very attractive, but is incredibly tight on the legs. I have athletic/muscular thighs, and I could not pull the ... over them to meet the desired rise in the waist. The ... buttoned fine, and looked good on my waist and rear, but the thighs were like suction. I could see the outilne of my hamstrings. Even though they were the same size and same style of ... Medium Tint rinse fit much better though still a little tight in the thighs. The reason I returned them was because the online picture was a little deceiving in the contour colored that are on the front of the thighs and the seat of the pants. It looked like I had sat in something and then wiped it down the front of my pants. Not very flattering to highlight the two parts that most women try to hide. I guess I will continue searching for a better pair of ... not like suction on my thighs. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I wish GAP would return to the previous style of the Long & Lean ... they were my favorite.

Fell apart
I love my gap ... ordered long & lean ... few months ago & besides losing the shape after a few hours...I still liked them. However, I own over 18 pairs of gap Xlong ... so i trade off. So after 3 months, I maybe wore then 7 times & wasked them 5. The other day I sat down at a restaurant & my knee went right through them...a huge hole with. I looked down & noticed the whole seam down the large loose flare leg was opening. SERIOUSLY? I took them to the gap store & they basically told me they were just work out. REALLY?My other gap ... have lasted years & these like 7 wears & 5 cold water washed with no dryer! Gap was one of the firsts to have ... us tall ladies but anymore everyone has them so i think i will just look elsewhere!

Horrible Quality!!!
Sad to find that the Gap's quality has dipped very low! I am 6 ft tall and it is not easy for me to find pants that fit. due to their height choices i became a LOYAL customer... all of my clothes come from either Gap or Old Navy. THESE ... HORRIBLE!!! maybe if i paid $20 then i would be less judgmental but i paid [$]. when you first put them on they fit like spandex, for those old enough to remember leggings :) then about 30 min later you need a belt. the stomach and rear end get all stretched out. i miss the good quality Gap ... used to be. ... felt like ...

What happened to my favorite ...
I've been buying Long & Leans since losing over 100 pounds about 8 years ago. Since them almost every pair I own are L&L, except for a few pairs of Curvy thrown in. I used to be able to go into a Gap and grab every color in 10L without trying them on and never, EVER had a problem with style, feel or look. I loved every pair. I hadn't purchased any in awhile because they've always lasted so long, but during a sale in the Fall of '09 I bought a pair online, as I was dying for a pair in the extra long size, which they don't have in stores. Wow, what a disappointment. The fabric is much thinner and scratchy, and looks and feels cheap. I'd never have to look in my drawer to see if I had the new pair in my hand -- I could tell by feel. Any time I'd wear them, within the first hour the butt would start to sag and that extra long length I was longing for was dragging on the ground as they got bigger and bigger on me. The waist would get so big that with a belt on I'd look like I was wearing some crazy big pants with a drawstring cinching them closed. Without a belt I'd be hiking them up all day. Still, I tried to love them. They were Long & Leans after all! I'd re wet them and toss them in the dryer after every wash (sometimes I'd do that before going out at night if I'd worn them in the day so it didn't look like my a-- was dragging behind me.) They started fraying at the bottoms within the month, something not ONE of my older pairs has done yet. Not just little fraying, I mean to the point that the entire bottom hem of the ... split open on the bottom, and I was often trimming thick strands of fabric off the bottoms so I didn't look like some crazy tall hobo. Then, the holes started. I'd see wear marks on the knees and butt area, which made absolutely NO sense as these ... were huge on me and I wasn't exactly rock climbing in them. I actually ironed patches on the inside of the knee areas for reinforcement to hopefully keep them together longer. These weren't tears -- the fabric was too thin to start out with, and kept getting thinner to the point that it was just worn through. The only reason I was insisting on wearing these was it was the first time I'd had a pair of ... long enough to look decent with high heeled wintery boots. Even with patches inside, I couldn't keep the holes at bay and after having an unusually saggy ... butt day I took them off in the kitchen and unceremoniously tossed them in the trash, something I never, EVER do. I guess they lasted about a whopping four months, if you can call what these ... did as lasting at all. IF I bought these again, which I wouldn't, I'd buy 2 sizes smaller than what I usually wear. I don't know what the heck I'm going to wear now, but it sure isn't going to be Long & Leans. Gap, do you read these reviews?

Wow! Very Impressed!
I have a very hard time finding ... my small waist but very long legs (38"inseam). Often times, I have to spend over $100 for ONE pair of ... I'm soo incredibly excited that Gap came out with ... people who are built just like me and the extra bonus is you aren't breaking the bank for ONE pair of ... My new Gap ... fit very nicely, flatters my shape and I've gotten a lot of nice compliments when wearing the ... hem at the bottom of the ... give a relaxing and comfortable feel to them -- not tight but loose. Great to wear with all different kinds of shoes. The jean material is soft and comfy. Great to wear on lazy days and going out on the town. I have bought three more pairs of ... Gap and intend to continue. Thank you, GAP for listening to the tall, long legged ladies out there! I would highly recommend these ... anyone, especially if you are tall and want a great pair of ...

My new favorite ...
I seriously LOVE these ... They fit me in my actual size, unlike the old Gap ... Also, I saw the negative reviews on these, but hello, they were mostly written by shorter women!! Why are petite women surprised that a "long and lean" jean might need to be hemmed for them? These ... so true to their name. I am 5'11, and find it incredibly difficult to find ... fit well and are long enough for my long legs; I always have to shop online for "extended lengths." I was so surprised & excited to find that the regular length on the shelf was perfect for me in flats, and I plan to buy the longer length online to wear with heels. The ... hug all the right places, and the waist is perfect - no gapping & no muffin top! The material is great too. Very comfortable, and not too stretchy or thin. I would definitely recommend, and will be buying more of these. Thank you Gap for looking out for us tall girls!!

Finally a Midrise jean that fits well!
Ordered 3 pair of these Long & Lean ... sale and haven't worn any others since I received them. Finally there are ... designed to fit a woman who can't wear curvy or loose fitting ... I'm slim through my hips and rear and most low rise ... slip down my hips so I have to pull them up all day. So happy to have midrise ... aren't 'mom' ... have a close fit like ... should. I have the hardest time finding ... fit well. Gap, please don't stop making these ...

What''s happened to my favorite denim brand???
For over 10 years, I have ONLY purchased Gap ... I'm a heavier set girl, and size 14R used to fit me like a glove. I tend to like wider flare leg ... used to be able to order any special edition or flare or long and-leans online and they all used to fit, WITHOUT FAIL. But now, I have to go to the store to try on every jean, because they all run differently. And I've found that the only ... still like are the Long and-Leans in 16R. I have not gained any weight, the old Gap ... 14 still fit me just as the 16s do now. These are actually really cute -- It's hard to find light to-medium wash ... don't make my thighs look bigger, and these are actually faded perfectly to slim them down. Wish the sizing had stayed the way it used to be, because the same ... used to make me feel sexy now make me feel fat because I had to go up a size. It was also very discouraging to find that I was not happy with any of the other ... tried on in the store, because they have really cute flare leg styles back.

Love them, but....
I bought two pairs of Long & Lean ... 8-ish months ago - my first ever Gap purchase (and only because I had a Groupon that provided a good discount). One was the medium wash, the other was the dark wash. I LOVED these ... It's hard to find true flare ... these days and on top of it to find ones that fit and hug oh so-nice and are tall enough for my 6ft frame...heaven!!! I wore them everywhere - the dark ones look great for work or going out, the medium ones are great for casual wear. As time went on though, the medium wash ... started to stretch out - the waist was too big and they got longer! (what?? if only that happened to all my other ... life would be wonderful!) They would fit nice and tight right out of the dryer, but by the end of the day they were baggy. On the other hand, the dark wash ... shrunk over time and became tighter and shorter. Even as much as I loved these ... wore them constantly, I expected them to last much longer - I can usually get at least a year out of a decent pair of ... Both of my long and leans ripped right across the inner left thigh - on the same DAY, no less!!! The medium wash also ripped around one of the belt loops and developed a hole in the bottom of the back pocket where I usually carry my cell phone (plus a nice rectangular iPhone ring). Now I'm pants less and will probably be buying more long and leans because they fit so well, but I really wish they had lasted longer.

Quality continues to decline
I'm not sure what happened. I've been buying the long and lean ... years - one of the only ... fit great. I'm 5'9" with long legs and curves. I initially ordered the XLong (Tall) and they were WAY too long! Now I order the regular ... Long, which is a good length for low heels and a touch long for flats. Despite the great look and versatility of these ... material they are using now is much thinner than before, and the ... sag within the hour after putting them on. Once that happens, the waist gets huge and I find myself tugging on them all day. They never used to do this - it's definitely the thin material with stretch. Still love the style, but incredibly disappointed at the lack of longevity. All of my new ... have ripped (straight across, against grain) in the inner thigh area within the year - another testament to the poor durability of the new material. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL LONG AND LEAN JEAN!

Not Happy with changes to Long and Lean
I am only 5ft tall so finding ... fit correctly without alterations is difficult. I previously purchased 2 pairs of the petite size 2 Long and Lean ... loved them. When I needed new ... order another pair, same size, and was very disappointed. Changes had been made to the long and lean ... were too long, even when I ordered them in the petite length, they were smaller than the previously ordered size 2 and the fabric seemed to be different. I am sending these ... back.

Gap used to be the only place I could go to get a decent pair of ... each redesign, your ... worse than the previous time. I will no longer buy your ... They don't fit well, they don't look good anymore, and they have been sized down so you feel fat when you try them on. So, you end up buying a size up, and then they stretch out and they are too big. The fabric no longer feels like quality fabric, but you are paying just as much for them. I remember telling a store associate in Maine that it would be just my luck, that the ... would change now that I found a good fit. She ensured me that Gap would never change their long and lean ... (April 2009). Within months, the ... were redesigned and they stink. Why you would take an amazing jean and redesign it to be sub par and ill fitting is beyond me. Just reading the other reviews, you have lost more customers with your 'new' ... Listen to your customers and bring back the long and lean ... had in 2008.

BAD QUALITY ... Please fix the fabric of the Long & Leans!
I love Long & Lean ... I'm 6 ft tall and they make me look shapely and fit my non curves well. I've worn this style for seven years! I bought three pairs of these ... year. The dark wash is still okay (but I only wear that for "good"). The two medium washed ones have holes in the rear, just after two or three months of wear. I feel ripped off, spending [$] dollars for a pair of ... last for only a few months. Come on Gap, fix the fabric of these ... I'm afraid to buy any more Gap ... I'm going to have to find another company that carries tall ... :-(

I miss my old Long and Leans
For years I could always count on the fact that I would be able to count on the Long and lean ... but not any more. They were the perfect rise, perfect length (which is hard because size "Tall" ... hard to find) and a nice sturdy feeling denim. This new style that they have is ALL wrong. I know this new cut has been out for a while but every time I try to wear these ... curse myself for being the optimist that I am, so today I got so fed up - here I am lamenting about my used to be "go to" ... new style is too long, not a huge deal, I can live with that since it doesn't happen for me too often. The quality of this denim is very light and I already have a few small holes starting in weird places like the otter side of the thigh area. But my major gripe is the waist band and the rise. The rise is sooo high - it goes nearly up to my belly button - which not only is not attractive but it is very uncomfortable. Also, the top line of stitching on the inside of the waist band is seriously like a wearing a serrated knife around your waist and the only way to remedy the feeling of being sliced into is to pull the pants up to your belly button- it is completely horrible wearing these ... So again, I miss my good old Gap Long 'n leans so please Gap, listen to all your used to be loyal long and lean shoppers and do away with this new cut and go back to the original style, because until then I will not be purchasing any more ...

Gap, you missed the boat. What happened to Original Long and Lean
I have worn Gap long and lean ... years and well as other co workers who used to rave about the jean. However, I got the new cut/style/length in 8A and was disappointed in the jean. I am 5'3" and usually buy the ankle and they fit great. These new ... were at least 3 inches longer than my original long and lean ankle ... They were really really long. They are also very thin compared to the original jean. The back pockets sit about 2-3 inches lower than the original making the pocket end on the top of your thigh, below your bottom. I went to the store to exchange and found another pair in the same size (8A), which was actually two inches shorter than the pair I received. This was the only pair they had avialable in the color/style I needed, however there was NO BUTTON on the jean, so I couldn't buy that pair. The quality and consistency is a big issue. The clerk argued with me saying it wasn't a quality issue when the ... same size/style run two to three inches different in length. How can it not be. Customers depend on consistency, especially when ordering online. I walked out without a new pair of ... disappointed and frustrated. I am now wondering where I can find a good pair of ... used to be Gap.
