Love these shirts. My daughter wears a uniform to school and I've been buying these shirts for years. They last the whole year, wash very well, and have a great fit.

girls like these shirts for school. my daughter is 6 and is wearing the x small, 4-5 size because they run a little big. as long as you know they run big then you can order accordingly!

Lovely Polo
Nice looking polo for girls.. has a cute slimmer feminine fit to it. soft and holds it shape! Looks great with uniform pants and jumper!! Best uniform polo on the market!

Nice, but not true to size
This is a nice looking shirt and is soft, but it is not true to size. This is the shirt without cuffs. We bought polos with cuffs last year in a size Large, so this year we bought the XL, assuming the sizing would be consistent. Unfortunately the sizing isn't consistent across the types of shirts, so the XL in the cuff less shirt is smaller than the Large in the cuffed ... We will return them.

School Uniforns
All of these shirts are not the same quality as they used to be...All of your products seem to be shrinking and getting thinner - this was the only place I could buy school uniforms and they would last all year long. Now I still pay the high price and it is falling apart and to small when it gets here- Gonna have to find a new store :( sorry~

Disappointed with size and fabric: My daughter usually wears XL so I ordered XXL to give her growing room. The XXL was smaller than her XL shirts ordered from another store. Fabric seems thin and not very durable. Need to return all the shirts.

Great polo!!!!! ( I agree with "first grade mom")
Great little girls polo!!! My daughter loves this shirt and it is the only polo that she feels comfortable in and is long enough to stay tucked in during a busy day. My daughter is young, so as with others, we do not have a bra to hide or issues with sheerness. Love the fabric! The fit is narrow like many today, so definitely order up if your dtr is nearing the end of the size bracket, otherwise fits true to size! My dtr loves the "pretty" sleeve, and so do I. It's hard to find nice quality AND nice looking uniform shirts for girls. GO GAP!!!!!

A polo w/a feminine twist
My girls wear uniforms to school & this year I purchased our white polo shirts from the Gap! Love the feminine detail in the sleeve & the softness of the fabric. I also appreciate that these are long as we had an issue with our shirts shrinking up too short last year & being unable to tuck in when my oldest wore pants.

Feminine Cute Easy Care Shirt
I love these shirts for my kindergardener!! They are nice and crisp when you wash them and they wear like a dream. I love the puckered sleeves, makes them appear to be a girls shirt and not a boys!!! I too live in the Warm South West and thicker is not better for us when it is still 100 in October and warms right back up come Feb/March so thinner is better for me!! I also love that when I put a nice turtle neck shirt underneath it lays smooth and looks Fantastic!! Found these in store on sale and bought 10 of them, worth every penny and I hope they keep the feminine styling as my daughter does not like the boy look of last seasons uniform shirts and either do I!! Thanks Gap for a Feminine Girls Uniform Polo!!!

Love Gap''s ... uniform shirts
I love these shirts. They are the reason why i'm online now. The closest Gap to my house is the outlet and they stopped selling uniforms after2009/2010 school year. I was so hurt! For those of you who may be confused about buying one of these shirts, please buy one. The capped sleeve is what makes it a GIRLS uniform shirt. It definitely adds a feminine touch. The length is not a problem because it will shrink a little once you wash and dry it and aren't your kids still growing anyway? They're durable, comfortable and will last the whole school year and more.

Nice shirts just a little short!
[...] Nice thick fabric...for girls wearing white that is a concern of mine. I only wish the length of the shirt were a few inches longer. My kids can tuck these shirts in but if they grow a little bit this year, they will not be able to anymore. I will have to add fabric to the bottoms to guarantee tuck ability. Still overall satisfied with the purchase!

Only shirt my daughter will wear!
When I saw that these uniform shirts went on sale, I went crazy and bought 6 in white. Gap uniform shirts are the only uniform shirts my daughter will wear. Normally I wouldn't buy so many but a sale is a sale and her size always sells out. These shirts are durable and clean easily. Gap uniform shorts are great too.

My two cents...
I wouldn't have bothered to review these, since they always have had stellar reviews, but was looking at ordering a few more and noticed that there are suddenly a bunch of 1 star ratings. Checked them out, because I wondered why. My daughter started 1st grade this yr, and it's her first year in uniforms, so I can't compare this year's "model" to past years, but I was very happy with the shirts that I received. It looks like 2 of the big complaints are the "puckered" cap sleeves, and that the shirts are evidently thinner than in the past. So here's my take on that- I have a 6 yr old, and so she & I love the sweet feminine look of the puckered cap sleeves- and since she is going out for recess in southern August heat, it is great that the shirts are fairly lightweight, and yet I have not found them so be see through. But again, she is 6. No bra, etc.. Soooo, it may depend on the age of your child. For a younger ... fit, girly style, and light weight material is great. I still found it to be a more polished looking and higher quality polo than others on the market... and that's why I was coming back for more!

Too small
I order these in a large which was a size larger than recommend for one of my girls and they are way to small. I miss the gap uniform shirts from the last couple of years. I am not crazy about the pique. I still have last years ss and ls uniform shirts for my youngest and the med is larger than this years large.

Order 2 sizes larger than you think you need
I ordered the largest size available for my daughter who wears a size 14 easily and a woman's size 2 easily. These shirts were so tiny that they actually fit my other daughter who wears a girls size 8. On top of that, they will be washed in hot water and put in the dryer. I would not order these for anyone over a size 8 or 10 - and then I would order two sizes up.

runs very small
I just ordered the uniform shirts for boys size 8 and for girls size 14, just be aware the girls 14 was overall shorter and narrower than the little boys 8!!! Not really sure what that is about but she could barely breathe in that shirt, I ordered her the 14 plus even though she is not normally a plus but that seemed to do the trick as long as they don't shrink. I'm disappointed they don't make these in better sizing for the girls, they're great quality with a cute cut other than that problem.

bummed.
I bought 15 shirts in different sizes for my 3 girls and had to return all of them. They were too thin for uniform shirts. My 6th grader will be in a skirt this year and the shirt is too see through - girls this age do NOT want their bra to show through. The shirts were also too form fitting. They also wear these shirts for p.e. class, and my little ones said the shirts wll be too uncomfortable. Just when I thought I was finished with my uniform shopping, I had to return them all and start over. yuk.
