Perfect for School!
While my daughter does not have to wear a uniform, I wanted to get her a classic pair of ... she could wear to school. I love these ... She is a tall size five so I bought the size 6 and just use the adjustable band at the waist to tighten them up. We bought them in both khaki and navy. She has an easy time taking them on and off and they seem durable enough to last her through the year. I think they were a great buy and would highly recommend them. :-)

Great ... School
While my daughter does not have to wear a uniform I bought these ... due to their classic style. The ... perfect for school. My daughter is a tall size 5 so I bought her a size 6. While the 6 is a little big for her in the waist I use the adjustable waist band to tighten the ... her size. She has an easy time getting the ... off and likes wearing them to school. Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was hesitant to buy these ... because of some of the other reviews and I just have to say that I don't agree with the negatives! Last year I purchased uniforms from another big name brand store and couldn't wait to get rid of them after the school year due to the horrible quality. Now I get these Gap ... totally love them! The material is thick and feels really nice! My daughter loved the feel! By the way she's an average size 6 year old going into 1st grade and I went ahead and bought a size 7 short for her. I believe she could have fit into a size 6 but with the adjustable waist I fee confident that she will get two years out of these easily. She has fairly long legs and the length is spot on as per uniform standards. I will definately buy more as well as pants when it starts cooling off!

perfect length for petite girls with shorter legs
It's true these ... bit shorter than other Bermudas, but that's why I love them. My girls go to private school but are both petite with shorter legs. Regular bermudas are way too long on them, and these are absolutely the perfect length. They are great quality and very durable. They wear much better than any other brand of school uniform bottoms I've tried. I order batches of them every year! Highly recommend.

Great Uniform ...
My daughter, who likes her ... fit (not tight and definitely not loose), loves these ... matter of fact she outgrew a size and requested that I order her the next size up in these ... specifically because of the way they fit her.

Run very small
Since these are return by mail only, which is a pain in the neck for me, be sure to order at least one size up, maybe two. My daughter usually wears a 12/14 slim. She couldn't get these buttoned (size 12)! Nice otherwise. Good luck finding the right size if buying online.

Too Small
My 12 year old daughter is 99 lbs and 5'1". According to GAP's size chart she should wear a 14. Since she wore a 12 last year, this made sense. The 14 is way TOO SMALL. She could hardly close the button. Order a size larger than what the size chart recommends. These were her favorite uniform ... last year because they didn't wrinkle and always looked nice. Sadly we'll have to return them this time.

Not what I expected
I ordered the navy blue and khaki pair for my daughter in a 7 plus, which is the size I order for her in the gap jeans that fit her perfectly. However these ... were not the case. The navy were like a size 5 truly but the tags show 7 plus and the khaki pair also a 7 plus are huge on her. More like a 10. I guess I should send them back since I cannot return these to the store due to them only being able to return by mail. But that is such a hassle.

TOO SMALL
Waist is way off on these ... least a size too small. Daughter wears a true 8 and they were too tight to button. The size 8 fit the same as last years 7!! Exchanged for size 10, and the waist is still snug- but baggie everywhere else. NO GOOD this year. Our uniform skirts fit the same way. Order at least one size larger but better yet order old navy uniform items which fit spot on.

Don''t order! Way too small!
I was shocked that these ... so small! My daughter typically wears a 7 so I ordered an 8 slim thinking this should work they are more like a size 5--I held them up to a size 5 we were getting rid of and it's the same in the waist! FYI this is the first online review I have ever written. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered.

Too big!
Cute shorts! I ordered two pairs; one for a 7-year old and one for a 5-year old. They are both slender girls and the ... too big. The 7-year old tried on the ... bought for the 5-year old and they were still too big.
