Great ...
My daughter is between ... right now. She's prepubsecent and has gotten a little thick around the middle in the last month or so and her regular 12's are too tight. Know that 14's would be way too long, I ordered 12 plus however the 12 plus were HUGE. So I ordered 10 plus and they are perfect. The length is great, the have that skinny jean look and easily tuck into boots, and the extra room around the waist accomodates what I expect may be only a temporary weight gain. I ordered several other pairs of pants from Gap in 10 plus for her with the same success as well.

Excellent ... my daughter
I have a tall, slim, almost seven year old daughter, and these ... such a great fit for her they might as well be custom made. I checked out the size chart, grabbed my tape measure, and went ahead and ordered online after measuring her. The 7 slim, super skinny ... have an adjustable waist, but the size chart is was so on the money that I don't think I even had to fiddle with the elastic. My only worry was how the distressed wash would look in person - and that turned out well also. Cool, not over the top fading and distress marks.

Comfort
Purchased for grandaughter at Christmas. She loves these ... their comfort and especially the fit. Plus ... hard to find and these are a great fit. Thanks to your customer service people, they are great to work with and very helpful.

Grownup who wears GapKids!
I am a grownup who buys GapKids because the inseam is perfect, the skinny fit is just right, the price is from heaven, I love the release elastic at the waist -- they are fabulous. The rise is nearly right! I just wish it were two inches higher! I have never bought the women's version - 16 slim girls' is so good, I have never tampered with what works. I for sure recommend the girls' ... because if they work for me, they will be supremely comfortable for your daughters! They do not -- even with a slightly lower rise than I'd like -- slide down to show my butt, so they will be terrific for a child. I am 5' 3" tall which is the tall end of the spectrum and I weigh 105 pounds. Buy these with confidence for your daughter if she falls within these parameters. (I have both the slim and the regular -- the regular are slightly more roomy and for when I want a less sexy look!!!!) The washes I have are dynamite! You go Gap! Will be back for new washes!!!!!! They make me look and feel wonderful (dare I say "hot?").

really cute and great fit
my 8 year old is a bigger boned girl so it is hard to find pants that fit good. I have found them at GAP!! these pants are stylish and fit great along with being super cute.I bought the 8 Plus. HIghly recommended for the PLUS little girl
My daughter is between a plus and regular so no pants really fit her good. BUt Gap ... Have always been the ones that do. ther is nothing worse than a little bum hanging out the back of your pants in school or otherwise... these ... COVER EVERYTHING. Thanks GAP for helping my 8 year old keep her dignity and look cool in her Gap ... highly recommend these to parents of plumper kids.

Finally ... fit!
Gap is the only place we have been able to find ... fit my slender, straight shaped 7th grade girl. Most times if we find something to fit in the waist, it is too short. Or, we have to crank in the adjustable waistband so far that she gets that lovely poofy look. Size 14 SLIM gap ... fit around her waist and around the butt and don't pouch up in front. And they are plenty long. She is very happy. We got two different color washes, plus the Jewel Box Skinny ... they all seem to fit similarly. Now if we could just find the 14S in the store more often!

Daughter Loves These!
My daughter loves these ... so much! At first, I bought the size 10 because she is taller and just growing out of most size 8's, but the 10's were a little baggy so I ordered an 8 and they were perfect in her words! She would wear them everyday if she could!

Finally
Yeah! A jean that fits my slender girl. The slim size fits well. It's about 2 ... smaller in the waist than the standard size. Quality fabric. Very pleased.

Good fit, slightly thinner material
We love these ... usual good fit and availability in slim ... They are soft and comfortable and true to size. My only complaint would be that the ... thinner than usual and I am worried that they will wear out quickly. On the plus side, the lighter material is good for our hot weather ;)

Perfect Skinny ...
I bought these ... size 14 Plus. I am a 5'1, 95 lb mid 20's woman and it has been so difficult to find ... actually fit length wise as well as flatter my legs. These skinny ... my holy grail! I really wish that they made more colors with this style and fit. The ... comfortable and not too skinny but very flattering to someone who is not stick skinny. The length is perfect and I couldn't ask for more! I tried some other "super skinny" ... Gap store but they were baggy and not skinny at all. Glad I found these and hopefully Gap makes more similar to these in different colors!

Love them!
These are just like the women's 1969 skinny ... terms of quality and fit. I bought the size 14R (I'm 5'1", 98 lbs, 24" waist, 33" hips, 27" inseam). I've owned a pair of 1969 women's skinny ... 00P since they first hit the shelves, but this kids pair fits much better. The women's pair fits well in every way except inseam (much too long; wear cuffed) when it comes out of the dryer but as the day goes on they become a little too loose in the waist and baggy in the legs so that they fit more like a straight leg. Sometimes kids ... styles just do not work for an adult, but these are stylish, comfy, and best of all fit right out of the package. I may have to hem the bottom, though, if they don't shrink a bit in the wash. These actually fit so good as is, I'm a little afraid that if I wash them they will shrink and be too tight. Love that 1969 has a kids line! I'm eying the kids ponte pant now, and hope Gap will come out with a "fitted" straight leg or just skinny (not super skinny) that is between their current super skinny and their current straight leg (which looks way too baggy, more like a boyfriend jean cut).

Comfortable
This has to be the most comfortable pair of ... have ever worn. I am a petite lady and usually wear size 12 in kids. Adult ... tend to be too long or just too big for me. These ... fit perfectly. The fit is skinny but I still can still move around in them. They also look stylish and I especially like the dark wash.

Perfect Plus Size for Girls!
My little girl is almost 7 years, and is very chubby around the middle so after buying ... returning ... every store in our town, I went online and ordered the plus size 7 ... her. They were absolutely perfect! The fit was incredible, enough room in her waist and with the adjustable buttons on the inside of the waist, we can make them comfortable for her. Thanks GAP for making plus ...

We had to exchange for a size bigger, but these are the cutest ... They look great with any top. Easy tuck in for boots. Great quality.

I love these ... because they truly are "skinny" ... my daughter. These ... have the adjustable waist (unlike the legging ... must have for my petite daughter. She is 7, and the size 6 fits her perfectly. So cute!

Perfect ... school
My daughter has been wearing these over the last 2 years. She is a skinny 5 year old (41 lbs) and I got her the size 6 because she likes to wear things a bit big. Because of the super skinny leg, they don't look too baggy on her. They have enough stretch that she can run around and still be comfortable. She's picky about the comfort of her clothes, so if she likes something, we stick with it.

Nice fitting ...
My daughter usually does not wear slim ... because she does not like how they feel around the legs and calf. These fit well and are not as tight around the legs as some ... They washed well and I do not fully dry any ... so they do not shrink. My daughter is very fit due to sports but she does not wear a slim size. These are very cute on, too!

great jean for petite women!
i purchased these ... after reading about them online. they are perfect for short and thin women. i am 5'3, 100lbs and fit the size 12 perfectly, much more so than some of the expensive designer brands. they seem durable and have just the right amount of stretch to be really comfortable, but still look like and feel like ... have not washed them, so i dont know if they will shrink or start to stretch out. my only complaint is that i ordered these ... 3 different colors and the lengths were in consistent between the three. i returned two of them because one was too long and fell below my foot, and the other was too short and barely reached my ankle. if you are picky about length, you may want to consider trying several pairs of the same size to find the perfect pair for you!

Love these!
I had a bit of a dilemma with ... year...my 5-yr. old is too tall for size 5, so I had to get her sz. 6 for length and then of course they were WAY too big in the waist/ hips. I ended up having to alter them. SO I tried these ... 6 slim and they are perfect! She wants to wear them almost every day! They are very cute, a bit lighter weight and softer and a little more of a trouser style jean than a traditional jean. The fit is excellent and the good news about the slims (in this style, anyway) is they don't have an adjustable waist- the waist doesn't stretch so they don't slide down her rear. A great pair of casual ... highly recommended.

Good pair for a rough Kindergartener
I like the simple look and soft fabric. It's still a little long on my daughter but it was reasonably priced and available. I bought a size 6 & size 7 for the future.

My daughter is short legs long torso and I am always having her pants hemmed because they are too long. I got her the plus size because they are shorter by a good amount and they fit her great. They are a little big in the wasit, but I will take that over them being too long. Im buying another pair

nice option!
I like that 4's are an option in Toddler and girls since my daughter needs longer length but a smaller waist. The 4's in toddler are too shirt but the 4's in girls have some extra length on them.

Great ... Skinny and tall kids
I bought these ... my son. I did not know they were for girls, but they ended up being better than the ones they sell for boys. They are longer and slimer, which is exactly what my son needs. He is very narrow and very tall and no clothes ever fits him with the exception of these ... GAP slim fit. I hemmed them and they look fantastic. Classic look. I prefer to buy on a longer side anyway as kids grow fast and this way, I can get a better use of clothes.

Great buy
The ... perfect for thin girls. They fit perfectly, so you don't need to pull the bands that normally are inside ... which make them stay up but are uncomfortable.

Great purchase
From other reviews, these must have fluctuations between lots or something, as the pair we received is perfect fit and super cute. Have a slim 10 yr old daughter, good length. A tiny bit large in the waist for her, but the take up waistband took care of that by moving one button hole on each side, plus most size 10 pants are too large in the waist for her. Couldn't be happier!

The best kids'' ...
I have the hardest time finding ... fit my kids AND feel good on them. I have tried every children's clothing retailer I know of, and I keep coming back to GapKids. I purchased two pair of this style for back to-school for my daughter. We like the dark wash because it looks nice paired with anything. We like the lighter weight denim because it's soft and easy to move in, and it lessens the bulk around their middle. I find Gap's ... fairly consistent. Maybe their fit changes from year to year, but I've always found those changes to be an improvement. Also, there are often differences in length from style to style. Gap doesn't do that by mistake. It's often helpful for me to check out the styles in store every so often. That way I'll remember that one fit runs shorter than another later when I want to place an online order. We buy size 5 slims for my daugther who is 43" tall and 34 lbs.

My girls, 9 and 11, love these ... My 9 yo is very small and the 6 slim fit her perfectly and she said the waist was very comfortable. Great buy for the money! Would love to have them in a lighter wash!

I love GAP clothes for my daughter. We are so thankful that GAP carries plus ... Since last year we have been buying my not truly a plus size (thanks for thinking all girls are sticks by the way) daughter ... GAP. These ... however, are not the best we have found. They are incredibly HUGE in the waist (even with the waist adjusted) and in the crotch. She looked like she could pull them up to her chest and still have room. I am very unhappy with the inconsistant ... GAP. We ordered another type jean in the same size and they fit fine in the length and waist. We want to order some skinny ... but I am afraid to!

Consistency, consistency, NOT
My daughter loved these ... first time....First, we bought online the dark and the light version of the same ... found that the fit differed. The darks were fab. We then returned the light and bought two more darks, and these two fit differently right out of the bag than the dark we had bought a few weeks earlier. My daughter, a petite, curvy cross country runner, has difficulty finding ... fit a smaller waist, so we had high hopes that we would end up with three ... Instead, only one fits. I do love that we can return to the local store, however the local store does not carry her size- girls 16 or 18.

These are perfect for my taller than average 6 year old. She has the worst time finding pants that aren't constantly showing her underwear in the back. These have great coverage in that area and look really cool too! Most importantly she's comfortable - thanks for carrying plus size ...

Favorite ...
This is the 3rd year I have bought these ... my girls. They are by far our most favorite style and fit plus they are durable! My girls are 8 and 9 and each wear one size down from their age (so size 7 and 8 respectively) but both are on the small size. Some of our ... have been through 3 girls and have still do not have holes in the knees but are beginning to look quite "worn". I buy my oldest daughter 3 pair at the beginning of each school year and pass hers on to her younger sister. I feel that they are still in good enough condition for her to start the school year. I hope GAP carries this style of ... long time to come!!

Finally!
Finally found ... girl on the edge of Girl size, but not quite ready for Junior size! I've been searching EVERYWHERE for a size 16 or 18 girl's ... NOT the super low cut. I don't want my daughter's butt showing every time she sits down, and neither does she! These ... comfortable fit for a normal, average weight, slightly curvy girl that likes to be active ;) Thank you for offering these ... bought one pair, found out they fit great, and immediately ordered another! The only thing I would suggest to anyone ordering these ... wash them before you hem them, because the length shrunk about 1 1/2 inches when I washed them the first time. I still had to hem them, but if your child has really long legs, you will want to leave them alone until after a washing.

cute ...
The cut and fit of these ... just right for my almost 8 year old (size 8) - they are just a bit longer than most of her ... size, but since we have to cinch in the waist a lot anyway, that will just make them last longer. The details on the back pockets are great.

Great ...
My middle daughter only wants to wear GAP ... She says they are the most comfortable...very soft. If you want just a basic pair of ... no bling, these ... perfect. She wears hand me-down GAP ... her older sister and they still look great after many washes. We ordered 2 of these in the same size and one was a couple inches longer than the other pair but still worked ok.

GAP ... all too skinny for my daughter. It took me 5 years to be able to say that we can buy GAP plus ... thanks to a sale associate that helped us find out the correct size for her. Although I HATE not being able to buy the plus size ... store, I am very glad that they are offered in the majority of styles online. GAP- maybe consider sending 7 Plus to the store (they carry 8 plus there, why not 7 plus too). My daughter LOVES all GAP clothes and thinks these ... more comfortable than sweatpants. Thanks GAP for continuing to make stylist, comfortable kids clothes.

Cute but runs small!
I just received these ... tried them on my 3 1/2 year old who is very tall and slender. Overall the style and cut are very cute and fit well but I am afraid that she will outgrow the waist before the length. I purchased the 5 slim because my daughter is so tall but the waist is perfect now without me having to adjust it. Definitely feel GAP went to small for the cut. I also purchased the cute boot in the Toddler Girls in a size 5T and they are quite a bit bigger in the thigh and waist. If they could find that happy medium it would be great.

Plus size simply not...
The plus size is perfect for my daughter who is thick around the middle - not terribly so - but this particular style does not work for her - all the others have ... - and even other brands. I love GAP quality - but these were a disappointment....

plus size simply not...
I purchase my ... Gap because they offer the "plus size" for a larger waist (I've never been a fan of hemming). We have had the 7 plus and they fit, but are a tad too short...the length I could handle (I feel they would likely shrink) - but the waist is absolutely no bigger in the 8P...and may be tighter. ??? Will be returning these. The regular fit didn't seem as tight in the waist for the "plus" size... we may give these a whirl. Still disappointed..

too small
My 11 year old daughter is very slim and her regular size 12 was too small. Don't know if we just got a weird pair or what, but normally she'd never be a size 14.......

VERY NICE STYLING
We all love these jeans...so sad that they aren't available in infants, juniors, & womens so that everyone else in my home can get a pair too:) They look great with the girls' sneakers and are of good quality. I bought them in an 8 regular & a 5 slim and both fit true to size.

Nice pair of ...
Just got these in the mail for my 5-year old daughter so I can't say how they wash up, but they look good after trying on. My daughter is about the 60th percentile in height and I had to roll these up several inches for her (not sure about shrinkage). Not a problem because I want her to grow into them, but if your daughter is more petite there might be too much material to roll up. They are a tiny bit lower in the rise than I would like for a 5-year old girl but not enough for me to return them. And I'd like them not quite as long. But overall a nice pair of ...

MORE straight let dark ... please!
My girls LOVE the straight leg dark ... two years ago and they've grown and need more. PLEASE, make more straight leg (the ONLY cut they like) in a dark wash with plain flat pockets. We bought several pairs last time you offered them. They don't like flap pockets and they don't like whiskers, just plain, dark, straight leg ... like only GAP can make them! PLEASE!!!! :)

Well fitting, look new ... needed!
I've struggled to find ... my 6 year old that fit on her nearly nonexistant hips and stay where they need to without being too small. I bought the plus size and then pulled the adjustable waist to make them stay. I think they will work. Just wish the waist was even higher (but this pair is better than many others we've tried). One complaint I have is the distressed parts. There is a large section on the back pocket and another two rips on the thigh. She cannot wear ... school with holes or worn patches so these will not be part of her uniform, which is one of the reason I bought them.

Not as pictured, returns a hassle
Sorry gap, but this may be our last online order- the ... styling of your girls ... just too inconsistent. Of 2 pairs of size 16, both were the same length as same style size 14 from last year. (if you try to figure out the length from the web description, it says inseam of 26", which apparently goes for ... 4-18.) this pair came with 2 rips in the knee and a hole in the back pocket the size of a 50-cent piece. The description does say there could be some distressing, but there is none evident in the photo and this is extreme. To top it off, returns have gotten more and more difficult. The website requires you to re enter info repeatedly, order number, etc, which should all be linked from your account. Then i was unable to print the return label (though im sure i will be charged forr it.) cant beleive they dont include the label in the original package, thogh if you read the order, they tell you to use the enclosed return label. Thanks, but no thanks, gap.

Distressed is an understatement
Be aware, these arrived looking nothing like the photo on the website. There were rips and holes. To be fair, the description did say some pairs come with distressing, but these were ridiculously distressed and are going back. We have also found major problems with ... girls 14-16 size range- they are all over the place and therefore very difficult to order- too bad since our local gap rarely carries these ... We are also very frustrated with the return process- the web procedure is really unwieldy, requiring multiple re entries of personal info and password, order number, etc, all things that are obviously stored in your account anyway. Printing the return label was impossible this time- the best part is that the invoive tells you to use the label that is provided with the invoive- which hasnt been provided for the past several orders for is. Not worth the hassle.

Runs big
These ... too cute. They do run a little bigger than the normal plus. I ordered the plus size that my daughter wore from Gap last year that she has outgrown. The size up was enormous.

perfect jean
My daughter loves these ... They are nice and comfy and not tight in the legs. Just right and a good basic denim without being too trendy for a elementary school kid.

Stright leg, not skinny leg.
These ... more like a loose stright cut. Not tight in the leg at all. Should be called "boyfriend ... Very cute with the cuffs (wide) rolled up with flats or flip flops. If you are looking for more of a tighter "stright" look, try the Skinny ... looking for more of a legging look, go for the super skinny jean.

We got these for my daughter and decided to go with a "plus" size as most ... these days are "skinny" low rise and not really made for playing in. They fit great and there is plenty of room to move (the adjustable waist band is very convenient) and she loves the comfort. I love the classic style and I am very happy that when she is sitting on the floor in her classroom her underwear and bum aren't peaking out of the top of them!

I purchased these in a 7 slim for my 7-1/2 year old daughter (50 inches tall/48.5 pounds). These are the same great quality as all of her other Gap ... Thank goodness for the slim size though; I almost ordered the 7 regular because I don't think of her as small for her age. We adjusted these to the tightest hole on the adjustable waist and they just barely stay up on her 20.25 inch waist. She said they are comfortable, although I did notice her pulling them up every now and then while she was playing. We also had to flip the bottoms up so they didn't drag on the ground. She has plenty of growing room in these. One other note, my daughter and I both like the distressed look, my husband doesn't get it though. The back pockets on the ... bothered him because they looked wrinkled and faded in spots. I also purchased the super skinny ... saturated wash (size 7 slim) and they were perfect for her in terms waist, hips and length. Overall, both styles are keepers and I may order another pair of each so she has them for fall.

I was looking for a jean that had a lower rise in front. This jean put the waist higher on her frame and the waist was too tight for her. They just did not work for her shape but they are good ...

Not as pictured, super- "destroyed" and returns a hassle
This will be our last online purchase from Gap- really a bummer, as our nearest store rarely to never carries the larger girls' ... (14, 16, etc.) These ... were not at all as pictured; to be fair, the text did say that there could be some distressing, but they arrived with 2 rips in the knee and a 50-cent ... hole in the rear pocket. The online photo of the ... has no distressing evident at all- were these leftovers of another style passed off as a newer style? Don't know, but they went back. They are also not long enough- hard to tell as the website does not list length in their size chart, and the length in the item description apparently is for all ... 4 through 18- don't know how that works. We got size 16, and they are the same in length as several paris of 14s we have, before washing. Lastly, the return policy has become a huge hassle. I had to re enter my information repeatedly despite being logged in to my account. To print a return label, I had to change my computer to allow pop ups, etc- (despite the invoice telling me to use the enclosed label, which has not been enclosed in the past several orders.) Not worth the hassle- goodbye, Gap.
