Best uniform dresses hands down
These dresses were perfect! I picked up 3. They are the perfect length, some others I was looking at were too short and even on the rack you could tell they would wrinkle. I even purchased a steamer thinking that this material might do the same and I don't need to steam it at all. They wash great. Also the lining is like satin, so soft my daughter loves wearing it.

Your chinos have worn the best of any other retailer. Your sweaters are durable and not bulky so my girls think they are very comfy. I also like the way the jumpers are lined. Good Stuff!

Beautiful jumper! LOVE IT!
First and foremost, GAP has the best quality clothes for kids...HANDS DOWN! I buy clothes and shoes from them for my 7 year old all the time. I just decided this year for her second grade year to buy her uniforms for school from GAP. I bought these a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the 2010-2011 school year. I plan ahead;) When they arrived I had my daughter try them on they fit great and felt great! The fabric is awesome. I bought two because they were on sale. I'm thinking of getting a couple more in a bigger size for spring! Thank you GAP! Two thumbs up!

GREAT uniform jumpers!!!
My girls wear uniforms to school and they love their Gap Uniform Jumpers. We own them in Navy and both shades of Khaki (stone and wicker)- the navy do fade a little, but if you wash them in cold and only partially dry them in the dryer, the fading is minimal for navy. Out of the two shades of khaki, we prefer the darker which is called Wicker, but that's just a personal preference. My 6 year old girls wore the size SMALL 6/7 last year when they were 5 and 6 years old and I'm buying the size MEDIUM 8 for the last few months of this year (they will be 7 years old in May and are pretty much dead on for being average height). I love the durability of them....ours are worn and washed often and still hold up great. I wish Gap would carry them in store and I also wish they were just a little less expensive- I always buy them with a sale or discount code so that I don't pay almost $30 per jumper- other than that, they are perfection!!

I originally ordered the Old Navy one and it didnt work for us. This one is awesome. Fits my daughter perfect, very good quality. And If you get it during a sale with a coupon it isnt pricey at all! (like I did!) Love it thanks!

Highly recommend Jumper for daily school wear
I was pleasantly surprised at how well made this jumper is. In fact based on the quality, the size/fit, I am potentially shifting to GAP clothes for my kids. The Jumper was true to size, has a silk lining which will be warm as well as last better than any other natural yarn, and is very cute. Most little girls like to wear dresses and this offers the ability to have a consistent conservative look for school, while giving the flexibility to change color/style with accessories. Very happy with the purchase.

I made the ... work on the first day of school.
The problem with ... too short. My daughter wear a 10 slim in Gap clothes. The dresses sisn't come in slim so I ordered a regular 10 and it was too big for her. She wore it on the first day of school with the 3/4 sleeve oxford white shirt, long multi colored striped socks from gap and her pink high top converse. It was too cute!!

Great Jumper ..but way too big!!
I love old navy and gap clothes! In fact both my children basically only wear these clothes because of the style factor and quality. I ordered, quite a few things for my daughters new school uniform policy. This jumper is sooo cute and has durable fabric. The liner is very cute also! the only problem is that my daughter is an average 7 year old not too tall, not too chubby! she's perfect when it comes to normal sizing! She is a normal sized 7 year old ..so why are these people making the jumpers 3 x's too big! i ordered a size 7 but it looks like a size 10! I hate wasting my time on sending orders back and waiting for them to arrive again.! so now i have to try and shink it or feed my daughter extra helpings because all of the skirts and dresses i ordered in her normal size are HUGE!

Disappointed By Size
I ordered this nice looking uniform jumper online and in the usual size, an 8 regular, for my granddaughter.....even using the GAPKIDS GIRLS SIZE CHART posted on the web site but when I got it, I see that it is way too small, the length seemed fine, but the whole middle section from chest through waist is cut too small and tight. I had to go thru the hassle of returning and reordering......thought it best when reordering to order the 8 PLUS as the reg. 8 is 27' in chest and the 8 plus is 30" in chest (on size chart, at least). This was a gift for my granddaughter, who lives away, so I don't know if there are any shrinkage issues or laundering issues associated with it, yet.

I really like how the skirt fits my daughter. It always looks like brand new after every washing. It is very dressy for a school uniform for girls.

How''d these make it past quality control???
I bought 4 of these skirts hoping that my daughters could wear them this upcoming school year. Unfortunately, like many other buyers, I was sent skirts with zippers that were nearly impossible for me to work, let alone my 6 year old girls. I'm frustrated that someone didn't catch this issue before these were put up for sale. I contacted Gap's customer service department regarding the zippers and their response was far from apologetic~ hoping it was a one time fluke that their product and customer service were far from the high standards that Gap has always been known for.

VERY DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME!
The last few years, I purchased the uniform skirts for my daughter and was so very pleased. This year, I purchased the skirts again (they looked only slightly different in style from previous years) for both of my girls. I purchased double quantities only to be very disappointed! The skirts are SMALLER and MUCH SHORTER than the ones we already own from 2 years ago. I ordered larger sizes of course and yet they are smaller. Too short to wear to school! I always "hang dry" the school uniform items to make sure they last as long as possible. This sizing issue doesn't even include possible shrinkage that may occur when using a dryer. I can literally place the larger size on top of the smaller sized older skirts and see a big difference. Unfortunately, I never thought to keep the receipts because usually their clothing is true to size or runs big. I wonder if I went to a store location and showed them this variance, if they would make an exchange to keep a customer. I have many more years of uniform purchasing.

I only buy my girls uniform bottoms from the Gap. They last forever and they have the stain shield on them. I have been buying them for 4 years now.

Love these skorts
Just by picking these up you can tell they are very durable. My daughter has had several different skorts from other name brand stores and I can tell by far that these will last longer. They are made of a heavier material than her other skorts for school. She loves them because she can twirl them like a ... If you have a daughter that loves to wear dresses but also loves to play outside and does not mind getting dirty than these are the skorts you need.

too big, but nice quality
very nice quality but the sizes were not right. Order smaller than usual. Especially if you have slim girls. very soft. I gave them to a friend b/c I did not want the hassle of a internet return

Plus size uniforms too tight in waist
Plus girls are...PLUS. give them plenty of room in the waist. Leg room is fine, but the waist is still about an inch too tight. Great fabric and GAP always wears well and is sturdy

Uniform Skirt for 2010
The uniform skirts were way too large, too long and had no shorts under it. At this age whether u call it a skort or a skirt, it needs to have a shorts under to keep little girls from being exposed. The uniform selection for 2009 was a much better selection. I had to go retrieve all my skirts from storage and reuse for 2010!

Wrinkles!
I bought this skort for my daughter's school uniform because of the cute style. She won't wear it for MANY reasons: 1) it wrinkles in the wash and the pleats fall out (I have no patience for frequent ironing), 2) the buttons on the sides are a hassle when she goes to the bathroom, 3) it's not as twirly as that discount brand that starts with "T". I'm done arguing with her. My advice is go for the [...] knock off. It's what all the girls want.

button closure
It's very unfortunate that the skorts are designed with a side button closure (in addition to the zipper). Designing something in sizes for girls in lower elementary school grades that requires them to unfasten and fasten side buttons each time they use the bathroom is just plain crazy. I find it hard to believe you tested this on 5, 6, 7 and even 8 year olds. A skirt they can leave fastened and lift it up -- pants have the button in the front where they can see and manipulate it more easily. Give us a decorative button with a clasp or a zipper that zips all the way up -- anything but this thoughtlessly designed closure.

this skirt makes the tiniest of girls look big. Not flattering! Good quaility materials though.

Not true size girls 4
This girls size 4 skort was too, too big, even with tightening the strap inside buttons. Not a true size 4 for girls.
