So, so cute
after reading the reviews I ordered a 7 regular when I normally order a 7 slim. I was disappointed to find that they were too loose for my daughter. I exchanged them for the 7 slim and they were too tight to the point of the button popping open when my daughter bent down. I was set to return them too but then the next day we were desperate for a clean pair of jeans and had no other choice. My daughter wore the jeans and in a short while they stretched to a perfect fit, not too tight at all and they are her FAVORITE jeans-- they really look so cute and I am ordering another pair! Gap is the only place I shop for my 3 girls jeans as they are the only ones who can offer a jean that I do not have to cinch the waistband-- last I checked....the elastic waistband on denim was for a toddler and does not look good on bigger kids!

Gap jeans fit my 4 year old girl great! Love the flap pockets in back! good length and not too big in the waist or crotch. I just wish GAP made more colors and styles in girls bootcut jeans.

Favorite Jeans
This is the 3rd year I have bought these jeans for my girls. They are by far our most favorite style and fit plus they are durable! My girls are 8 and 9 and each wear one size down from their age (so size 7 and 8 respectively) but both are on the small size. Some of our jeans have been through 3 girls and have still do not have holes in the knees but are beginning to look quite "worn". I buy my oldest daughter 3 pair at the beginning of each school year and pass hers on to her younger sister. I feel that they are still in good enough condition for her to start the school year. I hope GAP carries this style of jeans for a long time to come!!

Cute but runs small!
I just received these jeans and tried them on my 3 1/2 year old who is very tall and slender. Overall the style and cut are very cute and fit well but I am afraid that she will outgrow the waist before the length. I purchased the 5 slim because my daughter is so tall but the waist is perfect now without me having to adjust it. Definitely feel GAP went to small for the cut. I also purchased the cute boot in the Toddler Girls in a size 5T and they are quite a bit bigger in the thigh and waist. If they could find that happy medium it would be great.

I completely agree with the last reviewer -the cut on the two specific pairs I just bought are smaller than the pair I purchased a year ago -with a size up. My daughter is very thin and I always order slim but the size up was skin tight. I hope this doesn't continue with gap sizing down, my daughter and other girls don't need a complex. They are also very long..

nice option!
I like that 4's are an option in Toddler and girls since my daughter needs longer length but a smaller waist. The 4's in toddler are too shirt but the 4's in girls have some extra length on them.

Great buy
The jeans are perfect for thin girls. They fit perfectly, so you don't need to pull the bands that normally are inside jeans which make them stay up but are uncomfortable.

The best kids'' jeans!
I have the hardest time finding jeans that fit my kids AND feel good on them. I have tried every children's clothing retailer I know of, and I keep coming back to GapKids. I purchased two pair of this style for back to-school for my daughter. We like the dark wash because it looks nice paired with anything. We like the lighter weight denim because it's soft and easy to move in, and it lessens the bulk around their middle. I find Gap's jeans sizing fairly consistent. Maybe their fit changes from year to year, but I've always found those changes to be an improvement. Also, there are often differences in length from style to style. Gap doesn't do that by mistake. It's often helpful for me to check out the styles in store every so often. That way I'll remember that one fit runs shorter than another later when I want to place an online order. We buy size 5 slims for my daugther who is 43" tall and 34 lbs.

Great Jeans for Skinny and tall kids
I bought these jeans for my son. I did not know they were for girls, but they ended up being better than the ones they sell for boys. They are longer and slimer, which is exactly what my son needs. He is very narrow and very tall and no ... ever fits him with the exception of these jeans and GAP slim fit. I hemmed them and they look fantastic. Classic look. My girls, 9 and 11, love these jeans! My 9 yo is very small and the 6 slim fit her perfectly and she said the waist was very comfortable. Great buy for the money! Would love to have them in a lighter wash!

Too small in the waist
I have always loved Gap jeans for my girls because of the great "fit" but the sizing on these jeans are not accurate! My daughter just turned 9 and is tall and thin/average for her height. We purchased a pair of 10 regular in the straight cut a month ago and they fit great w/ room to spare but these 10 regular bootcut were so tight she could barely button them. My daughter also complained that they were very tight in the legs and she is very trim through the leg area. I will be returning these and buying elsewhere since I know the size 12 will be too long and I don't want to pay to have them hemmed up! I am very disappointed in the accuracy of their sizing...these fit more like a slim!

Consistency, consistency, NOT
My daughter loved these jeans, the first time....First, we bought online the dark and the light version of the same jeans and found that the fit differed. The darks were fab. We then returned the light and bought two more darks, and these two fit differently right out of the bag than the dark we had bought a few weeks earlier. My daughter, a petite, curvy cross country runner, has difficulty finding jeans that fit a smaller waist, so we had high hopes that we would end up with three jeans. Instead, only one fits. I do love that we can return to the local store, however the local store does not carry her size- girls 16 or 18.

Sizing, sizing, sizing
I love GAP ... my daughter. We are so thankful that GAP carries plus sizes. Since last year we have been buying my not truly a plus size (thanks for thinking all girls are sticks by the way) daughter jeans from GAP. These jeans, however, are not the best we have found. They are incredibly HUGE in the waist (even with the waist adjusted) and in the crotch. She looked like she could pull them up to her chest and still have room. I am very unhappy with the inconsistant sizing with GAP. We ordered another type jean in the same size and they fit fine in the length and waist. We want to order some skinny jeans but I am afraid to!

what''s happened?
ordered two pairs of jeans in this style both the same size (6 slim).... one fits fine with plenty of room for my very slim daughter, the other was extremely tight. Good quality denim, but Very inconsistent sizing- I have even had this problem recently with adult clothing from the Gap which is crazy bc they are the only company I buy pants from...

Not the slim fit I was hoping for... :(
Based on all the other reviews of these jeans being too small I was hopeful, and thought perhaps these jeans would actually fit my slender girls. Let me start by saying yes my girls are thin by todays standards only, but they are by no means skin and bones. It is always a struggle to find jeans that don't look ridiculous on them and these once again disappointed.When you have to adjust the adjustable waist all the way to the last button the jeans really balloon out and look silly around their little behind. Gap used to be the only place that had slim fit jeans that actually worked for my kids but I guess as the rest of the nation grows so are their "Slim" fit jeans.

Our kids wear uniforms for school and GAP is always our first choice for school ... quality and durability has been unmatched by the many other lines of uniforms we have tried. Sizes are generous, so we typically buy down one size (our kids run slim). I love the adjustable waistbands and the way the clothing launders. GAP items rarely fade (unlike so many other brands) and the shorts don't need to be ironed (and who has time for that?!?). We have GAP uniform shorts that have been handed down through all three of our children that are still in good condition and could be used again.

I don't wear it but my daughter loves it...we tried on so many difference ... mall from different stores...like Macy's, Nordstrom, Old Navy's, abercrombie, and a specialty store....nothing....she always wore gap school uniform ... but this year wanted to try something new.....so we set out to search.....but nothing..............she didn't like anything....she is very thin and 12 but looks 10........she decided on gap again she loves it......comfort, durable, easy to wear.......i am sure since i know she is very picky when it comes to the material on the clothing she has on since she does have sensitive skin....

Shorts run a little small
I bought two pairs each for my 12-year old (size 14) and 17-year old (size 16). My girls are both pretty slender, and on both girls, the shorts just fit. There is no growing room. I must wash in cold water and dry low, or I am afraid that the shorts will shrink enough that the ... won't fit into them anymore. I would recommend buying a bigger size than you usually buy.

Perfect for a growing girl
I adore these, they help gift comfort and confidence when young ... developing. I bought these to assist in proper coverage underneath shirts during those not so favorable stages of being a girl,.. I like, and I will be buying A lot more!

LOVE THESE!!!
I absolutely LOVE these camis! They are super soft, create a nice smooth line, and stay put underneath clothing. I have some cheap undershirts for my daughter to wear in the winter for playwear, but they just don't work when I want her to look nice. These are great because they give her an extra layer of warmth without looking bulky or creating funny lines. They're also a little longer than most other undershirts I've found, which helps them stay put under another shirt, but not so long they get in the way during trips to the potty. They also look really cute peeking out from under notched neck tops, most especially because they don't look like an undershirt, they look like a nice cami. These are a must have for my daughter's wardrobe!

Great product, but need LARGER size
My daughter needed a camisol that fit. I LOVE GAP clothing . . . but this one was a little tricky to find a size for my 10 year old. I love that it had a shelf bra, and I like the material and style . . . but after many times of trying sizes (purchasing online! Eek!) we had to settle on an XL! She normally wears a medium size for clothing. I have no qualms other than the size.

would not buy again
I looove gap clothing but this cami is just not up to par. i assumed this was an undershirt with built in shelf bra. overall it was too short and too wide and def. runs high on the neckline. underarm was a little too high too. i ordered a size up but this cami is def not proportioned well.
