Great!
I'm 5'11" and these hit me about 2-3 inches below my knee...just where I thought they would. I ordered a large, where I usually get mediums in Gap clothes, because of the tighter fit. They fit perfectly and make my rear end look GREAT! There is also no...shall we say...toe of the camel in the front..sorry to be crass...but there you have it. They are flattering in every way, shape, and form. I love running in them on chilly mornings. I've washed and line dried them a couple times now and so far they're still like new. I do wish they had a hidden pocket like the longer tights do, that's the reason for only 4 stars.

Very uncomfortable
I wore these once before started to slip down my waist and became incredibly uncomfortable. I spent more than half of a 5k trying to pull them up! If you're buying these to exercise in (and really why else would you buy them), don't. You'll spend more time sweating over these ill fitting pants than the actual exercise.

Good at first, but...
I loved these as first. Super cute, and extremely flattering to my thighs/hips. I went up a size (bought a small when I'm usually an XS) due to the all over tight fit. Even in a small, they were kind of a pain to put on, but they looked great - no lumps or bumps and not sheer. So good in fact, I bought 2 pairs. I wore them for a 2 hour bootcamp type workout and by the end they were totally stretched out in the waist - I had to keep pulling them up. After washing (same way I wash all myworkout clothes, which hold up nicely and retain their shape) and drying on low, I compared them to the unworn/unwashed pair. The waist was suddenly an inch larger when layed flat (so closer to two inches bigger in total). Totally stretched out after a single wearing and washing? No thanks - these are going back.

Size up!
I am so happy i read a lot of reviews before purchasing these, because they do run small. I am a size 2, a 4 once in a while and i had to take the MEDIUM. They fit like a glove, so size up!I wanted a pair of leggings to wear w/my black riding boots, i have no intention of using them for exercise, so i cannot speak to that use. With tall boots they look awesome! The weight of the fabric is just right and they almost suck you in a little. My favorite part of these pants is the waist band, it's nice and wide and helps cover my little "mommy pouch". Love when an elastic waist isn't a thin little elastic, these have substance.Order them, they're great!!!

Great!
I really like these workout leggings. I wear them for running, yoga, and i layer another pair of leggings with them for snowshoeing or walks in the woods. I also wear them around the house chasing after my toddler. I am 5'3" and 128 pounds and I got a small. I find that they fit very well. The medium was too big in the waist and since I wear them for running I need them to stay in place. The fabric is stretchy and thick - I have not had any issues with sheerness. I used to wear lots of lulu wunder unders but the price of those is going up while the quality is going down. I think these are a great option because the fit and quality is comparable, if not, better! Especially if you get them at whatever % off gap is offering. I would like them to come with a hidden drawstring in the waist just so i can cinch it and not worry about my leggings sliding down when I run. Other than that, highly recommend! Thanks gap for making affordable, quality workout clothes that are also flattering!

Amazing
I have had these pants for a year and they have been great. I can wear them for anything- working out, hanging out, or even going out. I can wear them with sneakers as workout pants or pair them with heels and a fancy top and go out to dinner in them. You can't tell they're my workout leggings :) I have them in all styles and love them. I am very careful with washing my clothes (I always wash cold on low spin and never put them in with different textures) and they still look like new and have not pilled. They keep their stretch all day and I feel comfortable in them and feel like I look good. I felt like I should write a review because I was just looking at my $65 nike leggings which I wear much less and look 10x older than these. I have purchased these for presents for friends and they love them. I would suggest going a size up though if you are in between sizes.

What About Larger Sizes?
I was really hoping that you would do 1x thru 3x for those of us who are going to exercise classes trying to get down to the smaller sizes. It is impossible to find nice quality exercise pants that don't have huge wide legs on them. I would buy Lulu's if they made larger sizes. What is up with all the great pants being tooooo small?

Nice fit, fabric, lines
Clever Gap. You've gone off and emulated another *very* upscale yoga apparel retailer (with a slightly unpronounceable fruity name), and almost done it better for a cheaper price! I'm 5'3 and always on the lookout for exercise capris that don't make me look like a midget swimming in excess fabric. These have just the perfect amount of compression (not enough to promote muffin top, but enough to hold things in), and a nice length (though hey, in my world of shortness, I'd probably make a version that was a couple inches shorter). For all you average to-taller ladies, though, these should hit about right. Anyway, kudos to Gap for coming out with an affordable, well made exercise line of pants/capris. I'll be buying more!

Love them!
Bought them for exercise, but also wore them with a t shirt just to run around at the park. SO comfortable -- not too tight, didn't stretch out after wearing them all day, great black color (not shiny, not dull). Love them. I'm 5'4, 145lbs, ordered size L to be comfortable and they fit perfectly (no muffin top).

a bit disappointed
I read many of the reviews saying these pants run small. I typically wear a med, so I ordered a large. They fit fine through the hips/rear, but left a gap in the waist..which made them annoying to wear to the gym since I felt like I had to keep pulling them up. I do have a pear shape so I often have this problem with jeans, but usually exercise pants are OK. I'm just going to try to take in the waist a little bit, but I'm kind of disappointed with these given the price.

itchy and stiff
for an item meant for exercise and an active lifestyle, i expected a material that was comfortable and enjoyable to wear - especially for this price. the moment i pulled these on, my skin was so irritated. very rough and even itchy feel. moreover, stiff and too thick. not a material that will move well with me. on a lesser note, the flare was a bit more than i liked. returned immediately.

These are great workout pants! They don't move around a lot if you do step or group exercise classes. They fit tight, but make your legs look long and lean. Excellent fabric.

Awesome pants!
I think honestly i have found the best exercise pants i have ever put on! they feel comfortable and they look great on :) They can be used as casual pants as well,i tried both regular and long in length and i am 5.8 with long legs and size long was little bit too long for me so i got Medium and i fits perfect :) I will be getting another pair in the future that´s for sure i love them!

Very nice exercise pants!
I really love the gFlex pants for my Zumba and yoga classes. I own several pairs in different colors. The black ones I just purchased are actually a little long for ankle length. Since Gap exercise pants don't come in petite length I get the ankle length (I'm 5' 1"), but there is an inconsistency in actual length from one color to the next. I definitely love these pants for ... but I would recommend you try them on to see what works for you. The material is not too heavy or too lightweight. I would say they are true to size. I'm 114 lbs and I take a size small and they fit just the way I like them. They hold you in, no muffin top, but they are not super compressive or restrictive.

I absolutely love love love these pants! I just started an epic workout plan and these are really great to exercise in. Im 5'9" and prefer long pants so I bought the long, and the length is perfect. I usually wear a 16 in GAP jeans and got an XL in these pants. They fit well and are very flattering, love 'em.

So comfortable
I bought this because I needed something new to exercise in and I'm glad I purchased it. it's super comfortable, so soft, it hugs your curves and is not tight on your skin..it's actually breathable and moves with you when you exercise and wicks the sweat away so you don't feel wet and uncomfortable. It also holds everything in place so when you go for a jog nothing jiggles. Overall these are the best sweats I've ever owned and a huge plus...it accentuates my curves and makes my butt look great!! I just wish this came in petite because I'm short and have to roll them up.

I really love these exercise pants - great quality at a great price. I got them on sale and with a % off discount too. I wear them for yoga, cardio walking, and to my Zumba classes. I got my regular size (small) in the ankle length which fit perfectly. I'm 5'1" and 115 lbs and they are just the right length with my sneakers on. I got the gray color (nine iron) because the price was such a good deal that I could not resist. I've got many pairs of black GapBody exercise pants/capris and I love them all. Gap - it would be nice if you made an exercise pant in navy blue as a nice alternative to black. I like gray but some reviewers don't find it flattering.

WOO HOO!!!! pants for tall girls
love these pants, fabric is nice quality, color is great- you can tell it will hold up to washing. i got the grey pants in long. 5'11, long legs. hips at widest are 37.5 inches, which puts me in a small, but the med long fit really well (no long small on clearance). i do wish they were a little lower rise. pet peeve is tall clothes with super long crotch lengths, maybe they work for women with longer torsos...oh well, can't win them all. but these pants are awesome, totally recommend. yea gap!!!!

Love these!
I bought a pair of these in each color when I was pregnant with my youngest. I'm 5'10" and 140 lbs (non pregnant), and I ordered a medium long. I ended up exchanging them for a large long to have a little room to grow, plus a more flattering fit while trying to lose the pregnancy weight. These are so flattering and I was able to wear them throughout my entire pregnancy and beyond. My husband definitely approves of the effect these have on my rear end! I think my favorite aspect of these pants is that they stay up without any tugging but they do not cause any muffin top! Now I am back down to my pre pregnancy weight and I'm still able to wear them comfortably. I am considering getting another pair and will probably get a medium, regular length. The long length is very long and they have not shortened over time as I anticipated (all of my older yoga pants shrink up over time and become high waters). I generally wear these to exercise and lounge around the house, but during my pregnancy I wore them with a tunic top and heels to work/church and nobody knew the difference!

My all time favorite
I'm 5'4'' 110lb. Got these in XS Regular and they are perfect. The size is perfect and the length too. I am not very tall but I guess my legs are a bit on a long side because everyone seem to be complaining about these pants being too long. Not in my case. They just go over my shoes and I am not dragging them on the floor when barefoot either. I was so tired of ON yoga pants that run either too short or too big. These GAP pants are just super comfy, very flattering. Initially my husband got me these in black 3 years ago. I am still wearing that pair and they wash really well, hold their shape. I wash them in hot water and toss them in a dryer with my kids' clothes. I've wanted to get a new pair of the same pants for a long time but they are always pretty expensive even on sale. Well, until now. Gap had the grey for [$]after coupons and I got myself 4 pairs to last me long just in case. I love grey ones just as much as the black one. For those of you who are not sure, don't be afraid to order - exchanges are free.

Love these exercise pants!
Got these gBalance pants for a great price on sale. I already owned them in black and I love them, so I picked up the charcoal heather for a steal. They are true to size. I'm 5' 1" and 114 lbs so I got the small ankle length and they fit perfectly. I like them a little long. They are very comfy and a good lightweight material. They are great for my power walking, yoga, and Zumba classes. They wash and dry well too. I always hang dry because I don't want to shrink the length. I definitely recommend giving these pants a try. When you are petite it is not easy to find exercise pants with the various lengths. I've had to pay to hem some in the past and that's just too pricey for me.

great pants!
I love these pants. They are my everyday go to staple as a stay at home mom of 4. They are great for around the house, exercise, and stylish enough to wear out to run errands. They seem to wash really well so far, too. I would definitely recommend, especially at the sale price!

Lengthy but Great Otherwise
This was not a huge deal being that I can (and often do) alter clothes myself, but if you're neither an amateur seamstress nor Nicole Kidman I'd recommend getting the ankle length. I'm admittedly pretty shrimpy -- 5'4", X Small -- but I don't really have short legs and I still had to chop a few inches off the regular length. Otherwise the fit and material are perfect and of nice quality, and I'm loving the foldover waist.

Comfy!
I'm four months pregnant and usually a 8/10L in Gap. I was hoping that, with the fold over waist, I could wear these with my baby bump. Gap didn't have the "maternity version" in a Medium Long ... Anyway,they are super comfortable and will definitely work through most of my pregnancy. I like the cotton/spandex blend for walking, stretching, and lounging. For more rigorous exercise, I prefer a different fabric that is less likely to show sweat. They are definitely snug in the rear, but I prefer that because it actually looks smoother than if they were looser.

I picked these up because they have more cotton in them than most, although I would prefer all cotton.The waist is a little large and bulky so I chose a small (134 pounds,5"6") but preferred the overall look of the medium as it was less clingy and tight looking. the waist, however wouldn't stay up in a medium, and mine isn't a teeny waist! These are great to excercise in but I find them a little thin and prone to pilling for everyday wear. Also I would like the legs to be just a tad less flared so that they could be worn under jeans to exercise class. They are nice and long.

not bad
For reference (before I start talking about size/length), I'm 5"1' and 100 -105 pounds. The xs ankle length where about an inch too long and one of the pant legs was notably longer than the other. Hopefully, that's just a fluke. I haven't worn and washed them yet (getting them shortened first), but they look cute on, feel comfortable, and seem like they'll hold up well. Except for the length, the sizing is great. I'm happy with these, but find that the gFlex and gFast pants I own are both more flattering and better made than these. Maybe if my other Gap exercise pants didn't set the bar so high, I'd give this pair 4 stars :)
