Great ... High Quality
I am very impressed with these ... bought them as I love all my gap jeans but I have never purchased any dress ... Gap. I am above impressed with the fit and quality of these ... First of all the fit was perfect for me I am a size 2 and purchased the Ankle length. They went perfect with a flat or a very short heel. As for the quality I am a working makeup artist which means I get my clothes very dirty and I also need ... move with me. I will admit these ... did get very dirty but as soon as I put them in the wash they looked brand new. I air dried them and they didn't wrinkle at all. I will absolutely purchase these ... again! Gap always has my needs covered.

These are by far the best dress ... have purchased. I wish they would bring the brown back out. I have the black, navy pinstripe and the gray. I have struggled for years to find dress ... long enough. I am tall, but a Size 4 and it is difficult to find ... fit. I tried the GAP ... few years ago and have stuck with them ever since. It would be nice to be able to buy these in a store, to be able to try them on and make sure that they do fit. I am looking forward to seeing what you will bring out for the fall line.

I am 5'6'', always wear heels with my dress ... am curvy. I always have a hard time finding dress ... perfect balance between not wide enough and too wide and are the right length. I ordered a long, and These are perfect. They are very flattering. I've read some complaints about the fabric, but I have no idea what they are talking about. It's normal dress ... fabric and looks very nice and is really comfortable. I've ordered these in black and gray. I wish they would come out with some colors like a light gray or brown. Thanks, Gap for these ...

AWESOME ...
This is probably the BEST pair of ... out there! Dress them up, dress them down, anything goes with these ... Only downfall... there aren't enough colors to choose from. Hoping a dark brown is in the near future!?!

I always used to buy curvy fit or hip slung dress ... Gap. I bought a few ... curvy style this season and suddenly the fit is atrocious (way too tight in the waist). So I tried the perfect trouser and they are awesome!!! They look great and professional for work and BONUS: they are flattering. My only complaint is....Gap, could you please do a better quality stitch at the bottom of the leg? The hem came undone after the first few wears and I had to take them to the tailor for reinforcement. (This happens with almost all my Gap dress ... eventually.)

I always come back to GAP dress ... because of the fit. I am tall and I have large hips. I think this style helps to slim down that area for me. They are just what I am looking for in work dress ...

Pricey but worth it
Yes these are a bit pricey....but coming from someone who has searched all the racks...on and off line...these are the best dress trousers for work. Like many, I have to dress up for work most days, and my biggest domestic hurdle is ironing! I hate it. Not only are these the most comfortable and stylish work ... ever, I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled them out of the dryer and didn't have to iron them AT ALL! I have both the black and gray...the gray is a very dark gray. Would love to see a brown color offered! Would have given them a 5 star, but feel that Gap can do some economy adjustments on their prices...so I gave them 4 star.

Great Work ...
I love these ... traditional fit ... me, is the most comfortable. I ordered the Straight fit as well and they are a more fitted ... which for me a size 14/16 the traditional ... not only is more comfortable (by a 100%) but gives a nicer overall look. The traditional fit is still a straight leg, just not fitted close to your legs/rear/tummy area as the straight or curvy ... style is. The material of this ... wonderful. It is quality, there is substance there; it is not too heavy but you feel like you are getting what you pay for. The only thing I had a bit of a problem with is the length being a little long. I am 5'6", I can absolutely wear them with lower heels, ankle boots and have no problem, but not with flats or else they would be sweeping the ground. They have a nice amount of stretch to them so they keep their shape nicely as well. You can dress them up with a nice blazer layered with a cute shirt under, or dress them down a bit with one of the most popular cardi's and a simple cami under with a belt. These ... must have for any wardrobe and you will wear them a lot.

Try on before you buy (Fit may vary.)
I have a hard time finding dress ... fit well. Most are too tight in the waist and/or too loose in the butt/hip (I'm an apple, not a pear). So these are good at not being so incredibly loose in the rear and hip areas. HOWEVER, I tried one pair on in store that fit great, and bought it and another color that I did not try on in store. The second color in the same size is tighter in the waist and the butt (wedgie ville). Also, both are SO LONG. Once I got home to try on with my 2.5 inch heels (I'm 5'6"), they skim the ground. At my height (which I am grateful for), I never have to have my length altered on ... so this is a disappointment. I plan to return them and buy dress ... Gap Outlet store near me (which are 32 inch inseam instead of 33). Otherwise, these are GREAT ... Comfortable, washable, and reasonably priced.

fits well but poor quality
The cut on these fits flattering for the not so straight figure with more hip than will usually look nice in straight cut ... waist runs slightly small if you go by GAP's size chart, I'd say half an inch. Length is true to size. The fit is flattering. The quality however leaves a lot to be desired for the cost involved. The fabric is very stretchy and slightly shiny looking as often found in lower end dress ... They are not lined ! How can they sell unlined polyester ... call them premium? Worse, the shiny fabric is not dense at all and you might find yourself, as I did, with a run right after putting them on ! Who has ever seen dress ... getting a run? I can not recommend these at all.

My Favorite Dress ...
I love the way these ... fit and look! I have them in black and charcoal and when I saw them in the navy pinstripe I ordered them immediately. I am 5'6", slender, with a striaght figure. They fit me perfectly and look great all day.

I've wanted a pair of navy pinstriped ... just forever and the GAP didn't let me down - I can always count on GAP dress ... - a size 6S is just perfect - I am going to order these in black also - great for work - they wash great - drip dry and go!!!!

Navy ... tough find for me and as soon as I saw these in the store, I had to try them on. They are very flattering and comfortable and are a really nice dark navy color. I do have to go down a size in Gap's dress ... opposed to Gap jeans, so watch for that. These ... stay in my closet for a long time to come.

So nice to find a navy pant.First GAP Dress ... great fit for me. Based on other reviews, I went down a size from where I thought I would fit, and they felt a little tight..But they do stretch, so if you find yourself on the line, even in the waist, go down a size. They stretch out after a litter wear and are now perfect for me.

finally perfect fit again!!
These ... great. Especially the gray color. It is a rich deep gray for fall weather. I bought several perfect fit trousers that were really tops a couple of years ago, and have not been happy with the last couple of years of them. These are perfect. They are a bit higher in the waist than low cut, which is good for more formal look, and the material is very soft and comfortable yet dressy. They are not so wide that the ... bottom covers all of your shoes{I wear a size 6 shoes, so wide leg ... make me look like I am gliding without shoes...:) sometimes} I am 5' 2 inches, I wear 2 inch heels and the 2A fit me in the leg length and crotch. I do not like my dress ... snug, I like them to flow a bit,,,but if anyone does, buy the regular, as the ... leg will hike up a bit. Hope this helps...

A great dress pant!
Most women need a comfortable pair of dress ... these are it! I have these trousers in the navy pinstripe, gray, and black and I find them to be a great fit and a complement to my wardrobe. I would say that I'm a curvy person and I feel that these ... do well as they flatter my curves while having a nice drape that looks great with a little heel or wedge. Because of the fabric, I do feel they stretch a little bit but I still get my normal size and don't feel that they stretch out of shape or anything. Good luck but if you are looking for a great dress pant at a reasonable price - try these! They are an especially great buy when there is a sale or special coupon going on :)

Great dress ...
I really like these ... black color is a staple. I picked the Navy pinstripe for easter. The stripe is very subtle.

Weird fit for me...
I am always a 12 Long when I get Gap dress ... oh how do I love Gap dress ... However, these ... really REALLY long, more than just regular long. So, if you would normally order Long, I would order the regular length. Also, they came down lower in the back and tighter across the hips than I expected. I think these are cut a little differently than the regular trouser ... so I am sending them back. =( As for quality, they are the usual wonderful GAP quality.
