Hot
These pants are pretty hot. All the chicks in my office comment when I wear them. The black is great for work and going out late. These are not really running to the grocery store pants, too tailored. I am also so happy that not only does someone make 35 waist pants, but someone makes really awesome 35 waist pants.

Great Pants
I like the overall look and fit of these slim fit pants. The pants fit true to size for me. Be cautious as the leg part is slim with a slightly tapered leg opening that keeps it afloat with your shoes. It took me a while to get use to the look of the leg opening and slight tightness of the leg. This is a great pant if your looking for pants that are fitted and tailored. I wear these pants to work and for casual outings. I highly recommend these pants.

Great Khakis for an Updated Look!
To start, this review is for size 40x32 Slim Fit Tailored Khakis. You may have seen a similar review of mine on the Slim Fit Classic Khaki page, but I cannot say enough about how well these two styles of pants fit! As you can see, I’m not a slim guy and I don’t pretend to be one BUT I do not want to dress like an older man or someone who doesn’t care about what they look like. These khakis are a great update to the typical, over sized khakis that many ... wear today – these are not your dad’s Dockers and are a much needed update to any man’s wardrobe. Similar to the Slim Fit Classic Khakis, if you are purchasing these pants, be sure to buy your true waist size (not ones that are tight around the waist). From the waist, the pants are fit to be slender and hip hugging but not tight and the same fit goes into the thighs. I have bigger thighs and these pants fit like a glove. From the thighs down, the knees are a bit tailored to bring in the boxiness of typical khakis and the bottom of the leg is about the same size as the knee. The Tailored Khaki style is a little smoother and a tad bit dressier than the Classic Style but both are great! With other khakis that’s I’ve owned in the past, they have been very loose, very boxy, and do nothing to help my image (other than cover it up). These pants are absolutely great and rival more upscale khaki brands such as Bonobos or AG Jeans (and this is the honest truth). I’m a big critic when it comes to pants because I want a nice fitting pant, and if you’re a bigger guy you know it’s hard to find pants that are updated and fashionable above a size 36 or 38 – Gap has done it with these pants and I will be buying a couple more pair.

Dress for success
I must say these pants are very flattering as well as a nice rich color ( I bought the black, but I am also ordering the Academic now). I was iffy about getting them because sometimes slim fit means very tight, but I must say these are the perfect balance between skinny & comfortable. These pants are very versatile, I've had them for about a few weeks & I have worn them to the Symphony & then the next day a regular night out. I have worn them when some casual sneakers, and dress up with them in some nice shoes. There is not much these pants cannot be worn for. One thing I will say the rise is lower then most dress pants so if you're looking to tuck in a shirt, it cannot be very long. I personal just wear a button down not tucked and throw on a sweater on top of it. I would advise to purchase these pants with Gap's v neck sweater, they are a good match.

Gap FINALLY steps up their game!
I have been wearing chinos and straight fit dress pants from Gap for about 10 years, but have usually felt like I'm "settling" because the fit isn't as trim as I like. I had started to buy my dress pants from a higher priced competitor with a wider (and better) range of fit options, and then I saw the new Tailored Khakis at Gap. The straight fit was a major upgrade over previous Gap ... employee told me that if I wanted something even more trim I should buy the Slim Fit version online. These are, hands down, the BEST ... have purchased from Gap. A fantastic fit, sturdy construction and materials, and wrinkle resistance without hurting the feel of the fabric. I'm hoping they introduce more colors in this fit, I would love to get several more pairs in gray, navy, and a lighter khaki (these are a darker tan, closer to what's often called "British khaki").

Waist a little too tight...
I'm 5'9" - 5'10" and 155 pounds. I ordered a 30x30 for these pair of pants, because my waist is a 30, but the waist was too tight. I was afraid I would split my pants on the first day of work! So I went to the store and tried on a pair of 31x30 pants and they fit perfectly. The pants fit my leg lines nicely. Always buy pants while keeping in mind that you will wear them with a belt!

Perfect quality
Finally a pair of pants for a tall skinny guy. They're modern styled without looking like a teenager, made from high quality workmanship. I've worn gap pants for years because I'm a difficult to-fit tall skinny guy and they're the only tough quality pants to be found in my size. I just got tired of their old style khaki trousers--baggy and loose. Gap has finally updated their style for the more trim look. The rise is a bit lower than their older style, but I had no problem getting used to it; it's not too low. These pants can be dressed up or down, and highly suitable to a job where you must look fit and tailored but need to do physical work. They travel well with minimal wrinkles. Yup, they're my new style of casual/work pants.

Nice Fit
These pants fit great. They are tailored fit and seem skinny, but don't feel tight. Nice leg room. A little baggy in the rear, but that is common on alot of tailored pants. Funny how that style starts with street gangs in the late 80's and makes it all the way to nice pants. The material is a little funky...hard to describe, but not as heavy as the regular Lands End khakis I buy. With a 50% off Groupon, I zeroed in on these pants and could'nt be happier. I own several BR dress pants, but these Gap pants will easily slide into the wardrobe.

Taylored fit pants
They are really nice. I bought them for my husband. It great he wil have to alter the length but its fine. I just wish it wasn't so tight. Please add other lengths to your online orders. Like 26, 27 would be great esp for kids that are husky and need the shorter lengths. You are on the right track. Your company is the only one that makes nice slacks for mens with the length at 28. Please consider other lengths.

Too Skinny, Straight Fit Better
I really liked the fit on the waist of these khakis. I had a hard time finding 28x32 but I'm glad I found these; these ... fit perfectly on my waist. My only problem is, the ... too skinny in the legs to be appropriate for work. They don't look like slacks. The cuff is a too narrow and makes the pant look more like stylish skinny jeans. It would be a nice casual pant for a night out. I like them but since my purpose in ordering them was for work, I will be returning them. I also found that 32 was a little long. They look okay but a 31 length would be much better. I tried a straight fit 28x30 at the store and they fit much better in the leg area and look much more professional, although I don't remember if they were the classic or tailored fit Khakis. Either way I will be sticking with a straight fit.

Hammer ...
Need improvement. After looking everywhere for a nice slim fitting pant (at non designer prices), I was hopeful that these would be the ones. Unfortunately the thighs and seat on these ... too baggy to be considered slim. I actually laid these flat on top of a two different pairs of Gap Original khakis that I bought 6 months ago and the thighs are the same size... not slimmer like they should be. The really only slim thing about these ... they taper to a somewhat slim fit below the knee, with a quite a narrow, almost "skinny" leg opening. The ... feel very well made so it's a shame that I have to return these. Gap just needs to lose some fabric in the thighs if they are going to call this a slim fit pant. TRY AGAIN!
